A espécie vegetal Calycophyllum spruceanum Benth (Rubiaceae) é muito utilizada pelas populações da América do Sul no combate a doenças dermatológicas, estomacais, diabetes, parasitoses, câncer, entre outras, despertando o interesse pela investigação química deste táxon. A presente pesquisa objetivou o estudo bio-guiado dos extratos obtidos das folhas, galhos e de cascas do caule de C. spruceanum visando à identificação das substâncias bioativas isoladas, incluindo as inativas. A meta é identificar nas substâncias isoladas aquelas com propriedades cosméticas associadas ao uso popular desta espécie, conhecida na região Amazônica por esta propriedade. Diferentes extratos foram preparados e analisados por Cromatografia Líquida de Alta Eficiência (CLAE) e Espectroscopia de Ressonância Magnética Nuclear (RMN 1H), acompanhados por ensaios biológicos (ensaio de capacidade redutora dos radicais DPPH˙ e ABTS˙+) para determinação de atividade antioxidante. O direcionamento do estudo foi feito em função dos ensaios antioxidantes aplicados aos extratos, conduzindo o estudo experimental para o extrato hidroetanólico de folhas ao foco do estudo, por ter apresentado a maior atividade antioxidante. Por meio de métodos espectroscópicos e espectrométricos (CLAE-DAD, CLAE-EM, CLAE-EM/EM; RMN de 1H e 13C; TOCSY 1D; HMBC; EM-IES) deste extrato e respectivas frações, pode-se identificar algumas substâncias antioxidantes potencialmente ativas, sendo estas: ácido 3,5-di-O-E-cafeoilquínico; duas séries homólogas de proantocianidinas (tipo-B) com grau de polimerização de 1 a 4, e proantocianidinas monoglicosiladas (tipo-B O-glicosilada) com grau de polimerização de 1 a 3; ácido 1,4-di-O-E-cafeoilquínico, quercetina 3-O-α-arabinopiranosil (16) β-glucopiranosídeo, ácido cafeoilquínico e canferol 3-O-β-D-glicopiranosil (12) β-D-xilopiranosídeo. Espera-se que ao final deste estudo, as informações forneçam subsídios para uma possível aplicação dos resultados científicos sobre a espécie vegetal, visando um produto para a linha de cosmético funcional. / The Calycophyllum genus belongs to the Rubiaceae’s family, known for its high diversity of secondary metabolites, which have a wide range of biological activities (antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral and pesticide). It is widely used by the people of South America against skin diseases, stomach, diabetes, parasites, cancer, among others. It is therefore essential to study the chemical composition of these species used in folk medicine, aiming to validate the traditional use, with scientific data and thus contributing to the search for new bioproducts. This research aimed the bio-guided fractionation of the extracts from the leaves, branches and stem bark extracts of Calycophyllum spruceanum Benth (Rubiaceae), to identify the secondary metabolites in the extracts and fractions, including bioactive ones, for further evaluation of the cosmetic potential of this species, commonly known in the Amazon region. Different extracts were prepared and analyzed by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy (1H NMR), and screened by biological assays (assay of reducing capability of ABTS˙+ and DPPH˙radicals) to determine the antioxidant activity. The chemical investigation was carried out based on the antioxidant activity of the extracts. The experimental study focused on the hydroethanolic extract of leaves, that presented the higher antioxidant activity, which would support the traditional uses of this specie as cosmetic. By means spectroscopic and spectrometric analysis (HPLC-DAD, HPLC-MS, HPLC-MS/MS; 1H NMR and 13C; TOCSY 1D; HMBC, ESI-MS) of this extract and its fractions, some compounds were identified: the 3,5-di-O-E-caffeoylquinic acid; two homologous series of proanthocyanidins (B-type) with a degree of polymerization from 1 to 4 and monoglicosyl proanthocyanidins (B-type O-glycosylated) with degree of polymerization from 1 to 3; 1,4-di-O-E-caffeoylquinic acid, quercetin-3-O-α-arabinopyranosyl (16) β-glucopyranoside, caffeoylquinic acid and kaempferol 3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl (12) β-D-xilopyranosil, which could be responsible for the activity. It is expected that the the complete study of this species provide chemical information, which will validate this plant specie as a potential source of antioxidant natural products that could be material for functional cosmetics. / CNPq: 166069/2014-0

nÃo hà / Este trabalho apresenta o processo e os resultados de pesquisa cientÃfica desenvolvida a partir da anÃlise de indicadores de gestÃo e de desempenho acadÃmicos dos cursos de graduaÃÃo do Campus da Universidade Federal do Cearà (UFC) no Cariri, entre os anos de 2007 e 2011. A pesquisa parte de uma fundamentaÃÃo teÃrica inicial sobre temas como avaliaÃÃo do ensino superior brasileiro, indicadores de gestÃo e de desempenho acadÃmico e gestÃo estratÃgica de InstituiÃÃes de Ensino Superior (IES). O principal objetivo foi elaborar um conjunto de anÃlises exploratÃrias com abordagem quali-qualitativa e descritiva das sÃries histÃricas de dados bÃsicos e de resultados de alguns indicadores de gestÃo adotados pelo Tribunal de Contas da UniÃo(TCU) e de indicadores de desempenho acadÃmico internos da UFC, explorados individualmente na dimensÃo do conjunto de cursos de graduaÃÃo do Campus Cariri. Partiu-se portanto da organizaÃÃo - e parcializaÃÃo para a unidade acadÃmica em estudo - dos dados bÃsicos componentes e dos resultados destes indicadores, apresentados de forma consolidada, na dimensÃo de toda a universidade, por uma das mais importantes fontes de informaÃÃes institucionais: o AnuÃrio EstatÃstico da UFC. Outro objetivo realizado pelo trabalho foi desenvolver um conjunto de anÃlises tambÃm quali-quantitativas, buscando explorar possÃveis relaÃÃes entre as Taxas de Sucesso dos Cursos de GraduaÃÃo(TSCG) com os resultados de outros indicadores de gestÃo e de desempenho da unidade acadÃmica pesquisada. Dentre os resultados e conclusÃes importantes do trabalho, considerando a relevÃncia para a gestÃo estratÃgica da instituiÃÃo e da unidade acadÃmica pesquisada, destacam-se os diagnÃsticos resultantes das anÃlises avaliativas das sÃries dos dados bÃsicos e de indicadores de desempenho acadÃmicos; das implicaÃÃes apontadas e aplicaÃÃes sugeridas em termos de ameaÃas e oportunidades para a melhoria do desempenho do Campus Cariri e, consequentemente da UFC, nas avaliaÃÃes destes indicadores. Destaca-se ainda o potencial uso destas informaÃÃes como subsÃdios para a tomada de decisÃes em prol da melhoria de qualidade das atividades acadÃmicas do Campus da UFC no Cariri, especialmente quando considerada a perspectiva jà concretizada, desta unidade acadÃmica dà origem à nova UFCA (Universidade Federal do Cariri). / This paper presents the process and results of scientific research developed from analysis of management indicators and academic performance of undergraduate courses in Campus of the Federal University of Cearà ( UFC ) in Cariri , between the years 2007 and 2011 . The research is part of an initial theoretical basis on topics such as teaching evaluation Top Brazilian, management indicators and academic performance and strategic management Higher Education Institutions ( HEIs ) . The main objective was to develop a set of exploratory analyzes with qualitative and qualitative and descriptive approach of the series basic historical data and results of some indicators of management adopted by Court of Audit ( TCU ) and internal indicators of academic performance UFC explored individually in the set size of the undergraduate Campus Cariri . So we started with the organization - and partialization for academic unit study - the basic data components and the results of these indicators , presented a consolidated basis , the size of the entire university, in one of the most important institutional sources of information : the Statistical Yearbook of the UFC . Another goal achieved the work was to develop a finite set of qualitative and quantitative analysis , seeking explore possible relationships between the Success Rates of Graduate ( TSCG ) with the results of other indicators of performance management and the academic unit searched. Among the important results and conclusions of the work , considering the relevance to the strategic management of the institution and the academic unit studied, highlight the diagnoses resulting series of evaluative analysis of the basic data and indicators of academic performance ; implications identified and suggested applications in terms of threats and opportunities for performance improvement and Cariri Campus , consequently the UFC , measurements in these indicators . Another highlight is the potential use this information as input for decision making for the improvement of quality of academic activities on the campus of the UFC Cariri , especially when considered the prospect has already taken place , this academic unit give rise to new UFCA ( Federal University of Cariri ) .

nÃo hà / A partir de meados do sÃculo passado abre-se, atravÃs da Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da EducaÃÃo (LDB), a possibilidade de InstituiÃÃes de Ensino Superior (IES) privadas fornecer cursos de graduaÃÃo e pÃs-graduaÃÃo. Em virtude disso, amplia-se a concorrÃncia nessa Ãrea, pois nesse perÃodo surgem vÃrias IES privadas no sentido de atender a uma nova demanda. Face a atual concorrÃncia educacional, passa a existir a necessidade de gerir estrategicamente essas instituiÃÃes. No intuito de contribuir para o atendimento da gestÃo das mesmas, o presente estudo surge com o objetivo geral de estudar as ferramentas de gestÃo estratÃgica de custos, Margem de ContribuiÃÃo e Ponto de EquilÃbrio, em uma IES privada. Para o atingimento do objetivo geral, procedeu-se a efetivaÃÃo dos objetivos especÃficos, onde a pesquisa ocupou-se em dimensionar os conceitos da Margem de ContribuiÃÃo, e seu estabelecimento, definir o Ponto de EquilÃbrio e sua aplicabilidade, e por fim, estabelecer a geraÃÃo de um mÃtodo adequado de anÃlise de desempenho baseada nas ferramentas supracitadas, tudo isso aplicado em uma IES privada. Concretiza-se o estudo atravÃs de pesquisa de campo que se efetiva enquanto estudo de caso ao realizar uma pesquisa aÃÃo em oito cursos de graduaÃÃo de uma IES privada. Ao final da mesma, conseguiu-se atingir os objetivos gerais e especÃficos anteriormente relacionados, alÃm que ter a questÃo problema respondida, pois, apesar de algumas dificuldades encontradas quando da concretizaÃÃo das fases e etapas propostas consegui-se retratar como os elementos na anÃlise de custos contribuem para a identificaÃÃo e projeÃÃo de resultados, tais como a identificaÃÃo dos cursos que dÃo os melhores e piores resultados, a projeÃÃo da quantidade de alunos necessÃria para manter um curso bem como as possibilidades de alavancagem de cursos, dentre outros. / From the middle of the last century opens , through the Law of Education Guidelines and Bases ( LDB) , the possibility of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) provide private undergraduate and graduate . As a result, extends to competition in this area, because in this period there will be various private institutions in order to meet the new demand . In the face of current educational competition , comes into existence the need to strategically manage these institutions . In order to contribute to the care of their management , this study comes up with the general objective of studying the tools of strategic cost management , contribution margin and breakeven , in a private institution . For the achievement of the overall objective , we proceeded to the realization of specific objectives , where the research took in size the concepts of contribution margin , and your property , set the balance point and its applicability , and finally establish the generation of an appropriate method of performance analysis based on the above tools , all applied this in a private institution . This is made the study through field research that is effective as a case study to perform an action research in eight degree from a private institution courses. At the end of it, we were able to achieve the goals and objectives listed above , in addition to have the question answered problem because , despite some difficulties encountered with the implementation of the phases and steps proposed was to portray as the elements in the analysis of costs contribute to the identification and projection of results , such as the identification of courses that give the best and worst results , the projection of the number of students required to maintain a course as well as courses leverage opportunities , among others.

Não fugindo a este contexto, as ouvidorias públicas nas Instituições de Ensino Superior também aparecem como um reflexo característico de países democráticos. O papel delas rondam questões como, controle social, transparência e ética, fazendo com que desempenhem um papel relevante na sociedade. A Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE), com Ouvidorias desde o ano 2000, decide instituir em 2012 a Ouvidoria-Geral, ficando esta responsável pela coordenação de todas as ouvidorias. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi analisar como a estrutura das Ouvidorias integra-se ao contexto institucional da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco; propondo, para tanto, uma abordagem aos temas fato administrativo e ação administrativa, tratados pelo sociólogo Alberto Guerreiro Ramos. Esta pesquisa é voltada para o âmbito da gestão estratégica das organizações públicas. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, que utiliza como método a análise de conteúdo. A pesquisa de campo é realizada na UFPE e investiga, por meio de entrevista, os Ouvidores desta organização. Para a análise desta pesquisa, os dados foram classificados em três grandes eixos, onde se observou primeiramente o entendimento dos ouvidores acerca de ouvidoria, contextualizando não apenas em torno de conceitos como ferramenta de gestão e democracia, mas também a sua importância para os stakeholders e as organizações. Identificou-se a disposição das Ouvidorias nas dimensões apresentadas pelo fato administrativo, envolvendo todos os seus elementos. Por fim, foi possível conhecer qual racionalidade orienta a ação administrativa das Ouvidorias, abrangendo os aspectos das racionalidades e das éticas.

Aiming at that end, in what concerne to the higher education, promotes programs of student financing and purse of education, in federal scope, being they: the Bottom of Financing to the Student of the higher education (you GIVE CREDIT) and the Program University for Everybody (ProUni) and Affirmative Actions. Faced with the displayed one, the problem of research that is presented concentrates-itself in the paper and in the action of the agents of the Institutions of higher education in Brazil facing the political public of enclosure in the higher education - ProUni. . The general objective of the research is going to analyze the strategies of management facing the political public one - ProUni that aims at to the expansion and guarantee of the right to the upper education within the reach of everybody. Specifically it intends: analyze of specific form the expansion of the politics and the access to the higher education, as well like his consequences, in the last 20 years as object of enclosure; identify the paper and stand out the importance of the action of the agents of the Institutions of higher education facing the challenges presented by the public politics of enclosure; and examine the strategies of management of the IES in the search of the permanence of the student that enter road ProUni Up to conclusion of the graduation. The impact of those public politics of enclosure that are fixed, while offers and demand, is going to solidify the constitutional guarantee of that the education is right of everybody, as well like the respect to the beginning of the dignity of the human person while pike of our charter. / Em um momento em que o direito a educação ganha novos espaços e abre novas áreas, em razão das grandes transformações pelas quais passou o mundo contemporâneo, é importante ter o conhecimento de que, no passado, significaram passos relevantes no sentido da garantia de um futuro melhor para todos. O direito à educação é um desses assuntos que não perderá sua atualidade. A ação do governo nesta área se norteia pelos objetivos de universalização da educação fundamental; expansão do ensino médio, profissional e superior; promoção da eqüidade entre as regiões; e elevação dos padrões de qualidade em todos os níveis de ensino. The aim of this work is to create a program able to implement the metric CPqD-IES to evaluate the quality of video in system MATLAB. This metric is described in Recommendation ITU-R BT.1683 for objective video quality measurement techniques for standard definition digital broadcast television with presence of a full reference. Video quality assessment is calculated objective parameters based on image segmentation. Natural scenes are segmented into edge, plane and texture regions. Objective parameters are assigned to each of these contexts. The relationship between each objective parameter and a subjective impairment level is approximated by the logistic curve, which is resulting in an estimated impairment level for each parameter.

Objective: This study aimed to assess the impact of an online introductory college nutrition course that implements evidence-based intuitive eating (IE) concepts and principles on students’ application of IE behaviors. A secondary outcome explored the relationship between student grades and changes in IE behavior implementation. Researchers hypothesized an increase in the average use of IE practices post-intervention. Methods: This study was a non-randomized pilot intervention using pre- and post-test surveys. Enrolled students completed the intuitive eating scale-2 (IES-2) survey on the first and last days of the 16-week course. Students participated in typical nutrition coursework throughout the semester with the addition of information on IE. Total and subscale average IES-2 scores were calculated and analyzed before and after the intervention. Results: Weight-neutral, non-diet nutrition education on IE led to improvement in the total average implementation of IE behaviors (p=0.022) in twenty-three college students. No significant changes were detected in the IES-2 subscale measures. A significant positive association was observed between student grades and changes in mean IES-2 scores. Conclusions and Implications: Based on study findings, adding education regarding IE principles into a basic nutrition course is an effective way to significantly increase total IE habits within an undergraduate student population. Results warrant consideration for standardizing incorporation of weight-neutral education in health courses to improve health behaviors.
