Awen, Barddas, and the Age of Blake

Franklin, William Neal 05 1900 (has links)
Studies of William Blake's poetry have historically paid little attention to the Welsh literary context of his time, especially the bardic lore (barddas), in spite of the fact that he considered himselfto be a bard and created an epic cosmos in which the bardic had exalted status. Of particular importance is the Welsh concept of the awen, which can be thought of as "the muse," but which must not be limited to the Greek understanding of the term For the Welsh, the awen had to do with the Christian concept of the Holy Spirit, and beyond that, with the poet's connection with his inspiration, or genius, whether Christian of otherwise. This study explores the idea of inspiration as it evolves from the Greek idea of the Muse, as it was perceived in the Middle Ages by Welsh writers, and as it came to be understood and utilized by writers in the Age of Blake.

Latinskoamerické diktatury jako zdroj literární inspirace. Próza 20. století. / Dictatorships as a Literary Inspiration: Fiction in the 20th Century

Alfaro Negrete, Ximena del Carmen January 2012 (has links)
Latin-American Dictatorships as a Source of Literary Inspiration - Fiction in 20th Century - The literature that deals a historical fact helps us to understand the history, showing us life of fictive individuals representing persons who lived those historical circumstances from an intimate, partial and improbable perspective and thus is not opposed to the "official history"; it creates a fictive chronicles of historical moments. Using the words of Miguel de Unamuno, there is something small and substantive, that history does not manage to capture: the intrahistory, things that happened in the lives of people that witnessed great historical events: All the things described daily by the newspapers, the history of the "present historical moment" is nothing but a surface of a sea, a surface that freezes and crystallizes in books and archives, and once they are crystallized in a hard layer, not major to a poor skin in relation to the intrahistorical lives we live inside of its immense ardent center. The newspapers say nothing about the silent lives of millions of men that wake up at any hour of the day in all the countries of the globe by the order of the Sun and go to their fields to proceed to their dark and silent eternal everyday work, that work, that as the submarine corrals create the bases for the islets...

Biblistické výklady Jeronýma Hirnhaima ve spise Theologia universalis / Biblical Introduction in Jerome Hirnhaim's Theologia Universalis

Matějec, Tomáš January 2015 (has links)
The thesis "Biblical Introduction in Jerome Hirnhaim's Theologia Universalis" contributes to a deeper understanding of the early modern thinking about the Holy Scripture. Theological compendium "Theologia universalis" was composed by Jerome Hirnhaim, abbot of the Premonstratensian monastery at Strahov, in the second half of the 17th century, and was used as a teaching aid for the monastic clergy. The thesis analyses the extracts from the Hirnhaim's compendium which are dedicated to the questions of relationship between Scripture and Tradition, biblical inspiration, interpretation of the biblical text and laity reading of Scripture. A comparison with Robert Bellarmine's "De Controversiis" shows that Hirnhaim's lectures were largely based on this Bellarmine's work. Numerous correspondences between the Hirnhaim's compendium and Gaspard Juénin's "Institutiones theologicae", a textbook compiled for use in the French seminaries in the nineties of the 17th century, shows a transnational character of early modern Catholic theology and teaching practice. Differences between the early modern and current view of Scripture can be observed in the area of pastoral practice.

Cederqvist, Maja January 2020 (has links)
The purpose of this essay is to examine how teachers can inspire and train middle school pupils in creative writing within the subject of Swedish. The essay also investigates whether the methods used by the teachers can be seen in the National Exams or not in the subject of Swedish. The methods used for this essay are individual qualitative telephone interviews of a structured nature. It includes four teachers from a school in Karlstad Municipality who all work or have recently been working with the Swedish subject. The study shows that the definition of creative writing varies among the teachers, but that the common denominator is that the students are using their creative abilities when they are writing their texts. The teachers are making an extensive use of reading based teachings to prepare and inspire the pupils to write creatively. It is common for the pupils to work together with someone to make learning fun. The expectation the teachers have on the students to use their creative abilities when they are writing a creative text can be linked to the methods that the teachers use in their teachings. This essay will also act as a foundation for more teachers to gain an in-depth knowledge of how teachers can inspire and train pupils in creative writing in the subject of Swedish.

A Grounded Theory of the Factors Affecting Employee Vision Inspiration

Luarca, Luis 01 January 2017 (has links)
Inspired, motivated employees are essential to organizational success. Research findings indicate a strong relationship between vision, leader charisma, organizational factors, and the extent to which employees feel motivated to achieve organizational goals based on the vision, known as employee vision inspiration (EVI). However, little is known about how employees personalize organizational visions and why this affects their performance. The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore in-depth the organizational and employee-related factors that affect EVI using the constant comparative method and grounded theory methodology, and how EVI manifests itself in employee behaviors directed toward the achievement of a company's vision. Interviews with a purposeful sample of 14 employees, chosen because they were inspired by their organization's vision, provided the data needed to answer the research questions and enable the development of a grounded theory of EVI. According to this theory, having an organization with a strong culture of two-way communication and a positive work environment fostered by a leader committed to an achievable vision positively affects EVI. The theory further indicates that such an organization acts as a motivator that enhances employee satisfaction and commitment, and elevates pride in the organization, thus positively affecting EVI. The significance to social change of this study is that it may enable leaders to understand how to inspire employees to be more creative and more committed to the success of the organization, thereby fostering a more fulfilling and satisfying organizational environment.

Pålsson Abrahamsson, Anton January 2023 (has links)
There are multiple games which can be classified as “first-person stealth” and an early game in this genre called Thief Gold has been directly influential in it. Defining the genre through certain qualifiers and using games which have directly been stated tohave been influenced by Thief Gold, Thief Gold has here beencompared to six subsequent games in the genre. What has been discovered is that while core similarities always exist, the same problems have different solutions depending on the overall designfor individual games.

Musicking i fritidshemmet : Ett utvecklingsinriktat arbete om att lyfta fram musiken i fritidshemmet och öka samverkan med musikämnet i skolan / Musicking in after school center : A development oriented work to highlight music in the after school center and increase cooperation with the subject of music in school

Larsson, Ida January 2023 (has links)
