Koncept místa v kontextu transatlantických transformací: socio-kulturní aspekty proměn vybraných metropolí v průběhu 20. století / The Concept of Place in the Context of Transatlantic Transformations: Socio-Cultural Aspects of Changes in Selected Cities during the 20th CenturyMozr, Tomáš January 2019 (has links)
This thesis deals with the concept of place and its transformation in the context of transatlantic transformations that still till nowadays stood aside the interests of the professional community. Representative place in the thesis is an example of the american bar, where the institution symbolized the newly established cultural elements gradually penetrated into the whole society and to this extent it could be viewed as a passenger concept venue. The main pillar of the thesis is to take into account sociocultural, economic, demographic and political aspects of bar environment as a peculiar manifestation of transatlantic communication. The key question to the concept of place is therefore whether the European continent was in the interwar period under a wave of Americanization, which in various locations showed a totally unique way that reflected the rising standard of living, while within the United States shaped this culture again by different way. On the other side, we meet with the complicated situation in the form of "dry" America and "thirsty" of Europe, or whether it was just an extraordinary manifestation of transatlantic relations and interaction, which would have thus secondarily been demonstrated modifications to the original concept in a European environment. The thesis is designed on...

Fyziologické rozdíly r a K stratégů u bakterií. / Differences in physiology between r and K bacterial strategists.Moserová, Andrea January 2010 (has links)
Differences in physiology between r and K-bacterial strategists. The definition of bacterial r/K-strategists is currently based on the time interval they need to form a colony on agar plate. Also, their growth rate which is often used to identify r/K-position within a pair of bacterial strains. To date it was evidenced that also other physiological characteristics relate to bacterial r/K-status, for example their different ability to 1) adapt for changing conditions 2) utilize complex or very diluted substrates, 3) use secondary metabolites to cope with other strains and possibly also others. The intersection of macro- and microbiological r/K-conceptions lies in time distribution of r/K-strategists during succession. The aim of this study was to verify the basic r/K-characteristics on nine chosen strains and to correlate them with their physiological differences that are implicitly regarded as characteristic for r/K-groups. The study deals with growth rates measurements on both liquid and solid media, identification of fatty acid composition and membrane fluidity of strains cultivated at near-optimum and cold temperature in order to track the differences in cold adaptation. The study also deals with the description of possible new K-strategist characteristic: the lack of correlation between the colony...

Taxonomie, diverzita a klinický význam rodu Aspergillus / Taxonomy, diversity and clinical relevance of the genus AspergillusHubka, Vít January 2017 (has links)
Aspergillus is a speciose genus encompassing nearly 400 species that has significant economic impacts on human health, the food industry, biotechnology and pharmacology. The research included in this thesis focuses on current issues related to the generic concept, subgeneric classification and species delimitation in Aspergillus. It addresses the need for revisions of several sections or species complexes. It provides novel information regarding etiology of aspergillosis as well as the antifungal susceptibilities of several less common opportunistic pathogens. The taxonomic section of the thesis contributes to the taxonomic stability and the new concept of the genus Aspergillus, which changed in response to the discontinuation of dual nomenclature in fungi. Sufficient arguments were collected (e.g., verification of monophyly, unifying phenotypic characters) for maintaining a broad concept of the genus and avoiding splitting it into several genera. All genera typified by sexual morphs and having Aspergillus asexual states were synonymized with Aspergillus and the appropriate names adopted; new combinations were made for teleomorphic species that lacked Aspergillus names. This thesis also contributed to infrageneric taxonomy of the genus via the proposal of four new sections in the subg. Circumdati,...

Konstruktionskoncept till att skapa wellpappsprover i laboratoriemiljö / Construction concept to create samples of corrugated cardboard in laboratory environmentGussman Lennström, Anton, Lundberg, Selma January 2022 (has links)
Kraftliners are used to create, among other things, the surface layer for the paper product corrugated board. Corrugated board consists of a layer of kraftliner on either one or both sides of a wavy paper, called flute. On behalf of SCA R&D this bachelor's thesis investigates the possibility of creating a conceptual prototype for a machine that can create corrugated board samples in their laboratory. This is to be able to predict, via tests, how variations in the structure of the corrugated board affect its properties. The work was carried out using an iterative method where concepts were first developed and then evaluated repetitively until a final concept was developed. The concept development consisted of five iterations with the phases of concept generation, modeling, prototype development, prototype testing and evaluation. The work resulted in a final concept that led to an illustrated prototype on a smaller scale that shows how corrugated board samples could be created in SCA's R&D laboratory.

Finanční zdroje sociálních podniků - vize a realita / Financial Resources of Social Enterprises - Vision and RealitySvobodová, Pavla January 2012 (has links)
Bc. Pavla Svobodová: Financial resources of social enterprises - vision and reality (2012) Abstract The theme of my thesis is looking into problems with social enterprise financing. Well set up concept of social enterprise financing is equally maintained with it's importance in foreign countries as well as the Czech republic. Based on research, my aim was to find the ideal concept of social enterprise financing and to test it on a chosen sample of Czech social enterprises. In the section "Social enterprise in the third sector and its funding" I explain the overview of financial definitions of foreign social enterprise and their focus on the funding. In here I am also deciding on my own perception of this issue - well mainly the ideal funding resources for social enterprise. This section also covers a "lighter" version of the ideal concept of social enterprise financing from a Czech point of view and explains various studies focusing on social enterprise financing currently available. The empirical section focuses on analysis of financing of chosen social enterprises and verifies the ideal concept in the Czech republic. The escalation of my thesis is a devised proposal which could seriously support the financial stability for Czech social enterprise.
