Filtragem robusta para sistemas singulares discretos no tempo / Robust filtering for discrete-time control systems

José Carlos Teles Campos 13 September 2004 (has links)
New algorithms to optimal recursive filtering, smoothed and prediction for general time-invariant or time-variant descriptor systems are proposed in this thesis. The estimation problem is addressed as an optimal deterministic trajectory fitting. This problem is solved using exclusively deterministic arguments for systems with or without uncertainties. Kalman type recursive algorithms for robust filtered, predicted and smoothed estimations are derived. In the last years, many papers have paid attention to the estimation problems of linear singular systems. Unfortunately, all those works were concentrated only on the study of filtering problems, for nominal systems. The predicted and smoothed filters are more involved and were considered only by few works : NIKOUKHAH et al. (1992) and ZHANG et al. (1998) had proposed a unified approach for filtering, prediction and smoothing problems which were derived by using the projection formula and were calculated based on the ARMA innovation model, but they had not considered the uncertainties. In this thesis its applied for descriptor systems a robust procedure for usual state space systems developed by SAYED (2001), called BDU filter. It is obtained a robust descriptor Kalman type recursions for filtered, predicted and smoothed estimates. Considering the nominal state space, all descriptor filters developed in this work collapse to the Kalman filter.

Eduardo Fontoura Costa 26 March 1998 (has links)
In this work a gain scheduling controller design procedure for dynamic systems with sector nonlinearities is given. An uncertain linear system with structured uncertainty is used to describe the nonlinear system, yielding an easy way to obtain Lyapunov functions, invariant sets and subsets of the system domain of attraction. The gain scheduling controller proposed uses the system state to switch linear robust controllers in subsets of the system domain of attraction around the operating point. The procedure guarantees the stability ofthe closed loop system and reduces the amount of conservatism that results when a large region of attraction around the operating point is considered. In addition, we also consider the problem of guaranteed transition between operating points by using a pre specified path in the state space for the system operating points. A guaranteed cost control law for uncertain linear systems using linear matrix inequalities is also presented. A magnetic suspension system and a sorbitol to sorbose microbial oxidation system are presented as applications of the gain scheduled controller.

O conceito de estabilizabilidade fraca para sistemas lineares com saltos Markovianos / The weak stabilizability concept for linear systems with Markov jump

Amanda Liz Pacífico Manfrim 08 March 2006 (has links)
This work introduces weak controllability and weak stabilizability concepts for discretetime Markov jump linear system. We introduce a collection of matrices C that resembles controllability matrices of deterministic linear systems. The collection of matrices C allows us to define a weak controllability concept by requiring that the matrices are full rank, as well as to introduce a weak stabilizability concept that is a dual of the weak detectability concept found in the literature of Markov jump systems. An important feature of the introduced concept is that it generalizes the previous concept of mean square stabilizability. The role that the weak stabilizability concept plays in the filtering problem is investigated via case studies. These case studies are developed in the context of Kalman filtering with observation of the Markov parameter, they suggest that weak stabilizability together with mean square stabilizability ensure that the state estimator is mean square stable.

Costa, Ricardo Ferreira da January 2007 (has links)
This paper is about the development of a didatic material, under the way of notebooks (here, in chapters), accompained by the prototype of simple circuit for experimental tests, to be used in high school teaching. The issue brought in the notebooks comprehends the analytic development of the topics that belong to the physics- mathematics, scheme for the building of the prototype and examples with the use of computer resources. More specifically, applied to the teaching of the topics of equations and linear systems, motivated by physics phenomena. It was intended to explore the experimental aspect (with the building of simple circuit prototype), the analytic (with the resolution of equations and linear systems, with an introduction to the linear programming) and the computer (with the use of electronic chart). In all the topics developed, a special emphasis is given to the interpretation, analysis and validating of the results. With this material, it was intended to offer the teacher a set of didatic- pedagogical activities that can stimulate the critical and creative acting. And that can also provide the thinking and analysis in the identification and resolution of problems, with the aim of triggering cognitive processes that lead the student to understand the inter-relations between physics and mathematics.

This thesis proposes, as main contribution, a new methodology to solve parameterdependent linear matrix inequalities which frequently appear in robust analysis and control problems of linear system with polytopic uncertainties. The proposed method relies on the parametrization of the solutions in terms of homogeneous polynomials of arbitrary degree with matrix valued coefficients. For constructing such solutions, a procedure based on optimization problems formulated in terms of a finite number of linear matrix inequalities is proposed, yielding sequences of relaxations which converge to a homogeneous polynomial solution whenever a solution exists. Problems of robust analysis and guaranteed costs are analyzed in details for continuous and discrete-time uncertain systems. Several numerical examples are presented illustrating the efficiency of the proposed methods in terms of accuracy and computational burden when compared to other methods from the literature / Doutorado / Automação / Doutor em Engenharia Elétrica

Contributions to the Theory of Time-Delay Systems : Stability and Stabilisation / Contributions à la Théorie des Systèmes à Retard : Stabilité et Commande

De Brito Cardeliquio, Caetano 27 September 2019 (has links)
The aim of this dissertation is to present new results on analysis and control design of time-delay systems. On the first part, we extend the use of a finite order LTI system, called 'comparison system', to design a controller which depends not only on the output at the present time and maximum delay, but also on an arbitrary number of values between those. This approach allows us to increase the maximum stable delay without requiring any additional information. The methods presented here consider time-delay systems control design with classical numeric routines based on Hoo theory. The second part of this work deals with a new approach to develop an envelope that engulfs all poles of a time-delay system. Through LMIs, we are able to determine envelopes for retarded and neutral time-delay systems. The envelopes proposed are not only tighter than the ones in the literature but, with our procedure, they can also be applied to verify the stability of the system and design state-feedback controllers which cope with design requirements regarding alpha-stability and are robust in face of parametric uncertainties. Fractional systems are also discussed for both chapters mentioned above. The third and last part studies stochastic time-delay systems.First we discuss continuous-time systems that are subjected to Markov jumps. We define stability and obtain LMIs for the state-feedback control in such a way that the relation with the transition rates between the modes is affine, allowing, therefore, to treat the case in which the rates are uncertain. We then discuss positive systems with delays, both for the continuous case as for the discrete case. Equivalent systems are obtained and delay dependent stability is addressed. A fair amount of examples are presented throughout the dissertation.

Slabě zpožděné systémy lineárních diskrétních rovnic v R^3 / Weakly Delayed Systems of Linear Discrete Equations in R^3

Šafařík, Jan January 2018 (has links)
Tudíž lze nalézt obecné řešení nového systému a v důsledku toho pak odvodit obecné řešení počátečního systému.

Slabě zpožděné lineární rovinné systémy diskrétních rovnic / Weakly Delayed Linear Planar Systems of Discrete Equations

Halfarová, Hana January 2014 (has links)

Study of electrical interfaces for electrostatic vibration energy harvesting / Étude d'interfaces électriques pour les récupérateurs d'énergie vibratoire électrostatiques

Karami, Armine 16 May 2018 (has links)
Electrostatic vibration energy harvesters (e-VEHs) are systems that convert part of their surroundings' kinetic energy into electrical energy, in order to supply small-scale electronic systems. Inertial E-VEHs are comprised of a mechanical subsystem that revolves around a mobile mass, and of an electrical interface. The mechanical and electrical parts are coupled by an electrostatic transducer. This thesis is focused on improving the performances of e-VEHs by the design of their electrical interface. The first part of this thesis consists in the study of a family of electrical interfaces called charge-pumps conditioning circuits (CPCC). It starts by building a formal theory of CPCCs. State-of-the-art reported conditioning circuits are shown to belong to this family. This family is then completed by a new CPCC topology. An electrical domain comparison of different CPCCs is then reported. Next, a semi-analytical tool allowing for the comparison of CPCC-based e-VEHs accounting for electromechanical effects is reported. The first part of the thesis ends by presenting a novel method for the measurement of e-VEHs' built-in electret potential. The second part of the thesis presents a radically different design approach than what is followed in most of state-of-the-art works on e-VEHs. It advocates for e-VEHs that actively synthesize the dynamics of their mobile mass through their electrical interface. We first show that this enables to convert energy in amounts approaching the physical limits, and from arbitrary types of input vibrations. Then, a complete architecture such an e-VEH is proposed and tested in simulations submitted to human body vibrations.
