Datový model datové migrace při implementaci bankovního systému / Data migration data model in core banking system implementation projectKrofika, Pavel January 2013 (has links)
This thesis follows up two views on the data migration project. First of all there is a basic description of data migration within MBI model. This model is created by information technology department on the University of Economy in Prague. The thesis fills in this model data migration task and related objects as task roles or documents. In the next part the thesis focus on concrete project of implementation of core banking system. More detail is dedicated to the data migration part of this project. First there are described principles of work in data migration and next the thesis aims on data model of data migration which is used as a documentary tool. This model is evaluated from the benefits and risks view for data migration and next there are described creation and updating of it. These activities are provided mostly by macros in VBA script language, which are created here for these purposes. In the end some options of model extension are designed and evaluated.

Comparing burnout and work-life balance among specialists in internal medicine: the role of inpatient vs. outpatient workplaceHussenoeder, Felix S., Bodendieck, Erik, Jung, Franziska, Conrad, Ines, Riedel-Heller, Steffi Gerlinde 08 March 2022 (has links)
Background: Compared to the general population, physicians are more likely to experience increased burnout and lowered work-life balance. In our article, we want to analyze whether the workplace of a physician is associated with these outcomes.
Methods: In September 2019, physicians from various specialties answered a comprehensive questionnaire. We analyzed a subsample of 183 internists that were working full time, 51.4% were female.
Results: Multivariate analysis showed that internists working in an outpatient setting exhibit significantly higher WLB and more favorable scores on all three burnout dimensions. In the regression analysis, hospital-based physicians exhibited higher exhaustion, cynicism and total burnout score as well as lower WLB.
Conclusions: Physician working at hospitals exhibit less favorable outcomes compared to their colleagues in outpatient settings. This could be a consequence of workplace-specific factors that could be targeted by interventions to improve physician mental health and subsequent patient care.

Burnout, work engagement and sense of coherence in female academics at two tertiary education institutions in South AfricaBezuidenhout, Adéle 11 1900 (has links)
Female academics in higher education institutions face numerous challenges
in the continuously ch~nging landscape of South African Higher Education.
Numerous mergers between different institutions, increasing job demands,
ever increasing class sizes and the unique demands of role conflict, inherent
to the female role, contribute to the manifestation of stress and burnout (80)
in this population group.
The research is conducted from a salutogenic paradigm, seeking to find ways
of avoiding the negative consequences of 80 and contributing towards the
positive experience of Work Engagement (WE) for the female academic. The
research also explores the effect of the individual academics' Sense of
Cohrence (SOC) on the experience of BO and WE.
The research is quantitative in nature. A psychometric instrument was sent to
all the permanently employed female academics employed by Unisa and TUT,
measuring their levels of 80, WE and SOC. The completed questionnaires
were statisticaily analysed.
The findings included average levels of 80, with definite signs that the
experience of 80 is on the increase. The Cy sub-dimension of BO showed
increased levels. The WE scores of the female academics were just above
average. The SOC scores of the female academics were low.
The main recommendations were that University management need to take
cognisance of the symptoms of BO that are present in this population.
Strategies need to be put in place to address these issues and the experience
of WE need to be treasured and grown through definite actions from
Management. Female academics also need to take personal responsibility for
their own wellness and act on the initial signs of 80, rather than dismissing it
as mere tiredness or lack of energy. There are also a number of
recommendations on actions to be taken to experience WE in the academic
work that the population undertake on a daily basis / Industrial & Organizational Psychology / D.Litt. et Phil. (Industrial & Organizational psychology)

A comparative study of burnout among teachers in a Youth Juvenile Rehabilitation center, an Ex model C school, and Public schoolsClayford, Mario January 2010 (has links)
<p>This study examined three schools / namely a Public, Ex model C, and a Youth juvenile rehabilitation school. A non-experimental survey design was used for this study. The sample consisted of 47 educators across the three types of schools. Data was collected by means of two instruments: a demographic questionnaire, and the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) consisting of three subscales namely / Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization, and Diminished Personal Accomplishment. It was hypothesised that due to the stressful nature of work in disadvantaged and resource lacking schools, as well as the unstable and unsafe environment in certain schools, burnout among educators in Public and Youth juvenile rehabilitation schools will have a higher prevalence rate than educators in Ex model C schools. The study also aimed to identify which various educator demographic variables correlate with high burnout levels. Correlational results of the study found no significant relationships between the three subscales of the MBI and certain educator demographic variables across the three types of schools. The results of an Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test revealed a borderline non-significant difference in the Emotional Exhaustion subscale between the Youth juvenile rehabilitation school and Public schools. Post Hoc comparison tests suggested Public school educators in the sample had the highest levels of burnout in terms of Emotional Exhaustion across the three types of schools, while educators in the Youth juvenile rehabilitation schools showed the lowest levels of burnout in terms of Emotional exhaustion. The results of the present study were discussed from the perspective of the Conservation of Resources theory, suggesting resource depletion as a central facet to burnout and how prolonged stress leads to burnout. Future qualitative studies exploring the etiology of burnout was thus recommended.</p>
