Har längden betydelse? : En kvantitativ studie av elevers textstrukturerÅberg, Johannes January 2013 (has links)
Abstract Johannes Åberg 2012: Har längden betydelse? – En kvantitativ studie av elevers textstrukturer. Does the length matter? – A quantitative study of student text structures. Essay writing is one part of the national test in the school subject Swedish. Here the student gets the opportunity to demonstrate that it is able to follow instructions and produce a coherent text. The examinator's task hereby becomes a troublesome process with subtle distinctions between rights and wrongs. This quantitative study consists of an investigation of the significance of length in students’ texts, i.e. text length, sentence length and word length. The aim is to collate the texts grade with these three aspects of length and also compare feminine and masculine language features. 17 student texts from the 2011 national test in Swedish for students aged 15, written by nine girls and eight boys from the grade levels not achieving the goals, satisfactory and very well satisfactory, form the basis for the study. These are three grade levels in a scale of four, where the second highest has been omitted. The results indicate that the answer to the question in the title is yes and furthermore that boys and girls use the length variable in different ways. For instance, boys tend to produce shorter texts with more longer words. There is also a slight correlation between short sentences and high grades. Finally, it seems to be of the highest concern to write a longer text if you want to avoid the lowest grade.

Konstruktion av Industriellt Vibrationsmätningssystem med signalbehandling baserad på Digitala Vågfilter av Lattice-struktur / Construction of Industrial Vibration Measurement System with signal-processing based on Lattice Wave Digital filter structuresTegelid, Simon, Åström, Jonas January 2010 (has links)
<p>In this bachelor thesis a complete prototype of an industrial vibration measurement platform has been developed. By measuring a number of variables such as acceleration, temperature and speed conclusions can be drawn on machinery health. The aim is to evaluate hardware and software solutions for a possible future product. Based on a requirement specification a proper hardware design has be developed. The hardware consists of a four-layer PCB with an ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller and about 250 other components. The PCB was designed, assembled, tested and finally housed in a box. Measures have been taken to protect the prototype against external disturbances such as inappropriate supply voltages and transients on the input stages.Software has been written for the microcontroller to perform the various measurements required by the prototype. These include RMS, integration and filtering. Special attention was paid to the latter by implementing filters based on lattice wave digital structures. This structure results in a very efficient implementation. Consideration is taken to be able to generate arbitrary filters independent of the characteristics and design method. To save time the microcontroller implements all the algorithms without any floating point numbers.Furthermore, both hardware and software are adapted for future industrial use. The finished prototype supports a number of communication interfaces in which Modbus (RS-485) and current loop communication can be mentioned. The final result is a very good performing platform with strong future potential. The work was commissioned by the consulting firm Syncore Technologies AB at their office in Mjärdevi, Linköping. The project has, in total, taken 10 weeks and occurred during spring 2010.In this bachelor thesis a complete prototype of an industrial vibration measurement platform has been developed.

Språket i läroböcker i matematik : En textanalytisk studie av läroböcker i ämnet matematik på gymnasial nivå / The Language in Textbooks for Mathematics : A Text Analysis of Textbooks for Mathematics Courses at Upper Secondary SchoolErlandsson, Josefine January 2012 (has links)

Wordlength inference in the Spade HDL : Seven implementations of wordlength inference and one implementation that actually works / Ordlängdsinferans i Spade HDL : Sju olika implementationer av ordlängdsinferens och en implementation som faktiskt fungerarThörnros, Edvard January 2023 (has links)
Compilers, complex programs with the potential to greatly facilitate software and hardware design. This thesis focuses on enhancing the Spade hardware description language, known for its user-friendly approach to hardware design. In the realm of hardware development data size - for numerical values data size is known as "wordlength" - plays a critical role for reducing the hardware resources. This study presents an innovative approach that seamlessly integrates wordlength inference directly into the Spade language, enabling the over-estimation of numeric data sizes solely from the program's source code. The methodology involves iterative development, incorporating various smaller implementations and evaluations, reminiscent of an agile approach. To assess the efficacy of the wordlength inference, multiple place and route operations are performed on identical Spade code using various versions of nextpnr. Surprisingly, no discernible impact on hardware resource utilization emerges from the modifications introduced in this thesis. Nonetheless, the true significance of this endeavor lies in its potential to unlock more advanced language features within the Spade compiler. It is important to note that while the wordlength inference proposed in this thesis shows promise, it necessitates further integration efforts to realize its full potential.
