This category ballad brings poetry to narrative, aesthetic elements that the novel on screen Mozambican writer, literary work as a strategy to preserve the oral tradition of telling stories around the campfire in the contemporary novel and enable critical discussion on the theme of feminine condition against the patriarchal hegemony in Mozambique. The love story between Mwando and Sarnau represents the political tensions, cultural and religious Mozambican society acculturated, as a possible reading of the role of women trapped in a social structure incompatible with the proposed modernization of the country that still the process of sediment identity formation. / O objetivo do estudo é analisar o romance Balada de amor ao vento, mostrando que o tema da condição feminina leva Paulina Chiziane a inaugurar uma nova categoria de balada no feminino: a balada em prosa poética. Esta categoria de balada traz, da poesia para a narrativa, elementos estéticos que, no romance em tela da escritora moçambicana, funcionam como uma estratégia literária para preservar a tradição oral da contação de estórias em volta da fogueira no romance contemporâneo e viabilizar a discussão crítica sobre o tema da condição feminina frente à hegemonia patriarcal em Moçambique. A estória de amor entre Mwando e Sarnau representa as tensões políticas, culturais e religiosas da sociedade moçambicana aculturada, à medida que possibilita uma leitura do papel da mulher presa a uma estrutura social incompatível com a proposta de modernização do país que ainda sedimenta o processo de formação identitária.

Esta tese de doutoramento tem por finalidade o estudo comparado das obras de dois escritores do macrossistema de literaturas de língua portuguesa, os moçambicanos, Mia Couto e Paulina Chiziane. Trabalhamos a temática da guerra sob a perspectiva do fantástico clássico (Todorov, 2008) e do fantástico contemporâneo (Sartre, 2006; Bessière, 1974) em dois romances, Terra sonâmbula (Couto,1992) e Ventos do apocalipse (Chiziane, 1999), tomando os mesmos como espaços dialógicos e em transformação, marcados pela História. ( Bakhtin, 1988; Lukács, 2006). O nosso enfoque comparatista buscou atar as questões do alheio ao próprio de forma a propiciar um melhor entendimento da literatura moçambicana e seu contexto, assim como, através dessa possibilidade de maior compreensão, facilitar sua divulgação. / This doctoral thesis aims at the comparative study of the works of two mozambicans writers inserted on the macrosystem of literatures in Portuguese, Mia Couto and Paulina Chiziane. We worked on the theme of war from the perspective of the classic fantastic (Todorov, 2008), and the contemporary fantastic (Sartre, 2006; Bessière, 1974) in two novels, Terra sonâmbula (Couto, 1992) and Ventos do apocalipse (Chiziane, 1999) considering them as spaces for dialogic discussion, in continuous transformation and determined by history. (Bakhtin, 1988; Lukacs, 2006). Our comparative approach sought to tie the issues concerning the theory of alien to own in order to provide a better understanding of the Mozambican literature and its context. In addition, through this possibility of greater understanding, facilitate their dissemination.

Bhabha (2003) e Gayatry Spivak (2010). / This dissertation presents a panoramic study concerning the orality in African novel, particularly, in the book called Niketche: uma hist?ria de poligamia (2004), from Mozambican writer Paulina Chiziane, considered one of the first novelist from her country to publish in this genre. We investigated the form in which the narration embodies and articulates the three categories that features an important role to the sensitivity and the oral perception of the written text: the voice, the letter and the gesture. By the nature of the chosen corpus, such study permeated discussions about the role of the woman as a writer, weaving interpretations concerning the fictional, historic and cultural discourses about the women and associating the space of the artistic creation as a possible territory in which new forms of representation emerge concerning the feminine. The instruments that served as basis to our reflections are anchored in the postulates of the literary theory about the orality, such as the works of Paul Zumthor (2000) and Hampat?-B? (1980), as well as the cultural and post-colonial studies of Homi K. Bhabha (2003) and Gayatry Spivak (2010).

Esta pesquisa analisa a postura do Apóstolo Paulo frente à instituição da escravidão do Império Romano no período do Novo Testamento. Explica a escravidão como uma forma de dominação que representava um dos conflitos a serem superados pelas comunidades paulinas. Mostra que o pensamento teológico de Paulo foi forjado através de conflitos vivenciados ao longo de sua carreira como missionário, pastor e teólogo. Expõe os principais temas da teologia paulina no que tange o assunto da escravidão e liberdade. Para tanto, parte da experiência de conversão do apóstolo, a saber, o encontro com o Cristo ressuscitado, destacando a importância desse evento e implicações teológicas do mesmo. Toma o título de Kyrios como um dos principais eixos hermenêuticos para a compreensão da postura de Paulo frente às situações de dominação presentes na sociedade. Analisa a carta de Paulo a Filêmon como resultado de um processo histórico em que Paulo se vê na obrigação de posicionar-se diante da instituição da escravidão e a forma como esse posicionamento pode ser encontrado em sua teologia. Propõe uma atualização de sentido para carta a Filêmon, mostrando a aplicabilidade dos princípios utilizados por Paulo, principalmente no que diz respeito à agápe. / This research analyzes the attitude of the Apostle Paul against the institution of slavery in the Roman Empire in the New Testament period. Explains slavery as a form of domination that posed a conflict to be overcome by the Pauline communities. Shows that Paul's theological thinking was forged through conflict experienced throughout his career as a missionary, pastor and theologian. Sets out the main themes of Pauline theology regarding the issue of slavery and freedom. To this end, part of the conversion experience of the apostle, namely, the encounter with the risen Christ, highlighting the importance of this event and theological implications of it. Take the title of Kyrios as one of the main hermeneutic for understanding the attitude of Paul in the face of situations of domination in society. Examines Paul's letter to Philemon as a result of a historical process in which Paul finds himself compelled to place himself before the institution of slavery and how this position can be found in his theology. Proposes a sense to update letter to Philemon, demonstrating the applicability of the principles used by Paul, especially as regards agape.

In the course of the intradiegetic narration in the first person, we describe polygamy in a state of dramatic language sustained by concepts of literary theory and recent studies carried out by researchers of African Literature such as Coelho (1993), Leite (1988, 2004), Chaves (2005), Soares (2006), Lobo (2007), Noa (1997), Rosario (1989) and Santilli (2003). Chapter I, The Mirror A Reflection of Dialogue between Feminine and Masculine Love, centralizes the orality and vocality in discourse from Zumthor (1993,2000) under the aspects of Mozambican tongue and language represented in the polydiscourse of the Niketche dance, supported by Baudrillard (1992), Bettelheim (1980), Bachelard (2002), Genette (1995), Eco (1989), Segolin (1999), Urbano (2000), Bonicci (2000), Todorov (1968), Derrida (2005), Barthes (2006), among others. In Chapter II, Discursive Confluences between Feminine Faces/Voices, we demonstrate the discursive convergencies of female and male characters under the polyphonic theory of Bakthin (2002) which allowed us to establish an image of women oriented by caricatural and ludicrous behavior in group performance, founded on the matriarchal system, yet guaranteed by Casimiro (2004) and Tsemo (1992). In Chapter III, In the Legends of Western Orality Africanness, warranted by Perrone-Moises (1978, 2000) and by researchers of the said African Literature, we speak of the I-narrators as esthetical results of a ritualized and up-dated plot of the symbolic past. Lastly, Niketche, a dance of recreation, expresses the transition of the written language and the language of orality giving them a transforming character through body language, the place of the performance of the new writing of the memory, of Western tradition, and the testimonial and biographic change of female voices in a renewed textual universe / A principal questão investigada e comprovada pela leitura de Niketche: uma história de poligamia (2004), da escritora Paulina Chiziane, remete-se às analogias no diálogo plural, no espaço da experiência perceptiva e cultural geradora de imagens libertárias da consciência feminina no contexto poligâmico moçambicano. Na direção da narração intradiegética em primeira pessoa, descreveu-se, neste estudo, a poligamia em estado de linguagem dramática, tendo como suporte conceitos da teoria literária e estudos recentes de pesquisadores da literatura africana, como Coelho (1993), Leite (1988, 2004), Chaves (2005), Soares (2006), Lobo (2007), Noa (1997), Rosário (1989), Santilli (2003). Pretende-se problematizar o quão tênues são as fronteiras entre o real e o fictício na literatura, tendo como enfoque a intersecção entre a ancoragem factual e a narrativa literária. Embasados na experiência traumática, a guerra civil moçambicana, os romances Terra Sonâmbula (2007), de Mia Couto, e Ventos do Apocalipse (2006), de Paulina Chiziane retomam o fato histórico pela via da ficção, incluindo a voz dos subalternos, personagens que, de um modo geral, não ganharam destaque na escrita da história oficial do país. Para tanto, busca-se a compreensão de como se processa a experiência histórica e seu narrar. / Analyze the experience and its narrativity elucidating the relation between them is the goal of this work. The aim is to discuss how faint are the boundaries between the real and the fictional in the literature, focusing the intersection between factual anchorage and literary narrative.Based upon the traumatic experience, the Mozambican CIvil war, the novels "Sleepwalking Land" (2007), by Mia Couto, and Apocalypse Winds (2006), by Pauline Chiziane, resume the historical fact by way of fiction, including the voice of subalterns, characters in general that not gained prominence in writing the official history of the country .Therefore, it seeks to understand how to process the historical experience and how it could house other experience classes.

Este trabajo tiene como propósito analizar la novela El reino de este mundo de Alejo Carpentier (1949), centrándose en el personaje literario de Paulina Bonaparte. Nos preguntamos si Paulina Bonaparte representa la nueva élite de Europa y la fascinación de ciertos personajes de la población del Caribe por Europa en la novela El reino de este mundo. Con esta pregunta destacamos al personaje Paulina Bonaparte desde un punto de vista nuevo, que hasta ahora no ha sido enfocado de esta manera en los estudios literarios, por lo que sabemos. La hipótesis que se formula es que Paulina Bonaparte se representa como una sinécdoque de las nuevas élites europeas durante los primeros años del siglo XIX en el libro El reino de este mundo. Principalmente hemos utilizado extractos de la novela y de artículos académicos que apoyan nuestra hipótesis. También hemos estudiado la obra analítica Historia y utopía en Alejo Carpentier de Oscar Velayos Zurdo (1990). Podemos concluir que hay indicios que muestran que Paulina Bonaparte representa la nueva élite de Europa en la novela El reino de este mundo.
