(in English): This thesis focuses on the first book of Historia Langobardorum (History of the Lombards), a historiographical work written by Paulus Diaconus (Paul the Deacon), a Benedictine monk and Lombard historian. The thesis consists of three parts - an introductory essay, a translation of the book and a commentary. An edition of the Latin text is attached as an appendix. In the introductory essay, having given the necessary facts, I summarise previous research on Historia Langobarorum and discuss Paul's use of sources with focus on some of the questions connected to this topic (especially the question of Paul's knowledge of the Lombard oral tradition). In the following part of the essay, the book is analysed within the conventions of so-called origo gentis-genre. The emphasis is laid especially on the legendary elements that are dominant in the initial passages of the narrative. The translation is accompanied with a commentary in which the information provided by the text are set in a broader cultural and historical context.

Christianity is the largest religion worldwide and the Bible remains the most read book in the world. Thus, the Bible has had a great influence on the worldwide views of women, and continues to influence these views in modern society. With this in mind, one can through studying the views on women and the female characters in the Bible and obtain a grander understanding of society today and its views on women.  This study incorporates a quantitative analysis of gender proportions in the Pauline letters, as well as a qualitative analysis of Pauls’ statements on women and the problematics of translation in regard to his letters. The readers are also presented with previous research focusing on similar matters, as to entice their interest, and enable them to form their own opinions. The result, in its essence, presents that women are grossly underrepresented in the Pauline letters, in both numbers and space. The study also points to the probability that Paul’s androcentric opinions may have been strengthened by the continuous translations and countless copies of the texts. Lastly, the study presents a discussion on what can and is desirable to do to ensure that women are correctly represented in historical texts relating to early Christianity

Aspekte der protestantischen Spiritualität Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdys, eruiert unter dem Schwerpunkt der Genese seines Paulus-Librettos

Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdys christliches Selbstbild steht heute gemeinhin außer Frage. Jedoch ist nach wie vor von Interesse, auf welche Weise er seine protestantische Spiritualität ganz konkret auslebte und welcherart seine Glaubensüberzeugungen waren. Diesen Fragen widmet sich diese Staatsexamensarbeit, wobei neben dem Konfirmationsbekenntnis aus dem Jahr 1825 und weiteren schriftlichen Quellen (vornehmlich die Korrespondenz mit Julius Schubring) insbesondere der Entstehungsprozess des mendelssohnschen Oratoriums Paulus Beachtung findet. Die Forschungsfrage lautet: Inwiefern lassen sich aus der Analyse des Konfirmationsbekenntnisses sowie des Entstehungsprozesses des Oratoriums Paulus von Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Schlüsse auf dessen protestantische Spiritualität ziehen? Es werden folgende Hypothesen überprüft: 1. Das Konfirmationsbekenntnis sowie der Entstehungsprozess des Oratoriums Paulus legen nahe, dass Mendelssohns protestantische Spiritualität weniger in der schlichten Bibelgläubigkeit des Pietismus als vielmehr in einem aufgeklärten, eher rationalistischen Protestantismus bestand. 2. Im Libretto des Paulus können Anhaltspunkte der Theologie Friedrich Daniel Ernst Schleiermachers nachgewiesen werden, die darauf schließen lassen, dass Mendelssohn diese teilte und infolgedessen als ein Anhänger Schleiermachers bezeichnet werden darf.:1. I denna uppsats har jag studerat Konflikten i Antiochia, utifrån två aktuella perspektiv på Paulus - ”Nya Perspektivet på Paulus” och ”Paulus inom judendomen”. Syftet har varit att definiera och klarlägga den huvudsakliga innebörden i de två respektive perspektiven samt att utifrån den förståelsen göra en jämförande analys med hjälp av den valda perikopen. Jag har också sökt analysera vilka konsekvenser perspektiven kan få för vår förståelse av Paulus. För att avgränsa uppgiften har jag utgått från ett urval av forskare inom respektive perspektiv. Dessa är för NPP: E. P. Sanders, James D. G. Dunn och N.T. Wright. För PIJ har jag främst utgått från material av Mark Nanos och Magnus Zetterholm. För att kunna göra perspektiven rättvisa presenterar jag också en kort beskrivning av det ”Traditionella Perspektivet på Paulus” eftersom det är det perspektiv som i lite varierande form har varit det dominerande genom historien. Jag har också gjort några förhoppningsvis förtydligande utvikningar kring hur det gick till när judendom och kristendom skiljdes åt samt ett kort avsnitt kring begreppet bordsgemenskap. Slutsatsen i uppsatsen är att perspektiven förvisso skiljer sig åt på flera punkter men att de till övervägande del ligger nära varandra. Detta är särskilt tydligt vad gäller de vetenskapliga drivkrafterna och metoderna som respektive perspektiv använder sig av.

Because of the new Education Act (Hasner's reform), the second half of the nineteenth century was a very important time for education. I introduce a primary school teacher living at that time, his way to 'success' and whether the image, which surrounded him, corresponded to the reality. Using the Bourdieu's theory of capital, I investigate the individual aspects of the life of Vincenc Paulus (1840-1913), the school director in Chrast. He was the educator of the public, an amateur historian and archivist, an organizer of an ethnographic exhibition, a founder of a local museum, an active official of teachers' association Budeč chrudimská, and a member of municipal committee. Hence, it seems that he met the contemporary ideas about a publicly, and especially culturally active teacher and educator; who carries out all the work selflessly and enthusiastically, thinking only of the welfare of teachers, his pupils, local citizens, the municipality, the nation, the State and the Church. Convinced of the importance of his mission, he withstands any "slights" with patience and with belief in the future awards; and pays attention to avoid any unnecessary conflicts in order to protect his most important work - the education. This situation leads to its rejection by many students. One of the causes leading to that rejection is related to the inadequate approach in the teaching process, as it lacks contextualization within social cultural framework. The present research tends to suggest possible ways to explore and use the emákhuwa cultural artifacts for pedagogical purposes in the teaching of Mathematics as a way of contextualization of the learning process in local context. This view is supported by the fact what the author is a emákhuwa descendant who has noticed that some of emákhuwas artifacts incorporate some mathematical elements which could be explored within the school learning context. This research is supported by studies in the field of ethnomathematics and mathematics education. Several researches in this field include published works of Paulo Gerdes and Ubiratan D´Ambrósio. These authors as well as many others, point out that learning from resources, which are linked with peoples cultural background will enable them to appreciate. The learning of mathematics more sense of reality and to build more confidence and secure in the learning process. This research shows the possible ways of incorporating local artifacts in the teaching of Mathematics discussed by students who are talking up the Bachelors Course in teaching Mathematics of UP Nampula / Da minha experiência pessoal como aluno e como professor de Matemática durante vários anos, constatei que a Matemática no ensino secundário geral (da 8a a 12a classes) é considerada, pelos alunos, como uma das disciplinas escolares mais difíceis de aprender. Aponta-se, como um dos motivos das dificuldades dos aluno a falta de contextualização social e cultural do seu processo de ensino e de aprendizagem. A presente pesquisa fazer uma abordagem sobre as possibilidades de exploração didáctica dos artefactos culturais do povo Amákhuwa, de Nampula, no ensino da Matemática, como forma de contextualização da aprendizagem. Esta pretensão apoiase no facto de, na minha vivência como m´mákhuwa, ter verificado que alguns artefactos culturais emákhuwas incorporam alguns elementos matemáticos que podem ser explorados no ensino escolar. Esta pesquisa encontra o seu suporte teórico em estudos realizados nas áreas da etnomatemática e da educação matemática, particularmente nas obras de Paulo Gerdes e de Ubiratan D Ambrosio. Estes autores, como tantos outros, defendem que uma aprendizagem com recursos às realizações culturais dos povos dá à Matemática mais sentido de realidade e torna os alunos mais seguros e confiantes na aprendizagem. As discussões nos workshops, realizados com os estudantes do Curso de Bacharelato e Licenciatura em Ensino da Matemática da UP- Nampula, mostram as várias possibilidades do uso destes artefactos na sala de aulas

<p>Syftet med uppsatsen är att titta närmare på skillnaderna mellan den judiska och den kristna bilden av och resonemangen avseende Messias, så som de kom till uttryck i medeltidens mest berömda disputation i Barcelona år 1263.</p><p>Det är intressant att försöka förstå hur en medeltida judisk lärd såg på Messias och hur en dominikan försökte få honom på andra tankar om Messias. Dessutom har ämnet större aktualitet idag än tidigare, eftersom antalet och storleken av de messianska judiska församlingarna i världen, de flesta naturligtvis i Israel, växer. I de messianska församlingarna behöver det judiska och det kristna inte längre vara åtskiljande utan förenande faktorer.  </p><p>Disputationen i Barcelona var en sista uppflammande påminnelse om den tid som varit, den sista gången som den rika judiska kulturens representant fick någorlunda fritt framträda och uttrycka sig. Enligt Maccoby var Barcelonadisputationen den mest högklassiga, relevanta och bäst återgivna av alla disputationer.
