Gestion avancée du Plutonium en REP Complémentarité des cycles thorium et uranium / Advanced plutonium management in PWR, complementarity of thorium and uranium cycles

Dans le but d'étudier les possibilités de gestion avancée du plutonium dans les réacteurs actuels, 8 stratégies de multi-recyclage du plutonium dans des REP sont étudiées. Suite à des études à l'équilibre, il a été montré que, en utilisant des assemblages homogènes, l'utilisation du thorium ne permet pas de réduire les inventaires de plutonium en cycle à l'équilibre ni la production d'américium. En répartissant les différents types de combustibles au sein d'un même assemblage, certaines stratégies thoriées permettent cependant d'obtenir des inventaires et des productions d'américium inférieur aux meilleures stratégies utilisant uniquement le cycle uranium. Cependant dans tous les cas, le faible taux de conversion des combustibles thoriés en REP conduit à l'impossibilité de faire baisser la consommation de ressources de plus de quelques pour-cent par rapport aux stratégies sans thorium. Afin d'étudier la transition, une participation active au développement du code de scénario CLASS a eu lieu. Elle a aboutie à la simulation de deux scénarios parmi ceux étudiés à l'équilibre avec CLASS. Ces simulations ont montrées des écarts avec les scénarios simulés précédemment. Les causes majeures de ces écarts ont été identifiées et quantifiées. / In order to study the possibility of advanced management of plutonium in existing reactors, 8 strategies for plutonium multi-recycling in PWRs are studied. Following equilibrium studies, it was shown that, by using homogeneous assemblies, the use of thorium cannot reduce the plutonium inventory of equilibrium cycle or production of americium. By distributing the different fuel types within the same assembly, some thoriated strategies allow however lower inventories and lower production americium best strategies using only the uranium cycle. However, in all cases, low fuel conversion theories in PWRs makes it impossible to lower resource consumption more than a few percent compared to strategies without thorium. To study the transition, active participation in development of the scenario code CLASS has been taken. It led to the two simulation scenarios among those studied in equilibrium with CLASS. These simulations have shown discrepancies with previously simulated scenarios. The major causes of these differences were identified and quantified.

HIL simulace manipulátorů nebo stroje / HIL simulation of manipulators or machines

The diploma thesis deals with HIL simulation (hardware in the loop). The thesis contains a manipulator created in the virtual software V-REP. The connection of real inputs and virtual outputs of the machine is realized by the microcontroller Arduino UNO. The first task deals with the control of the manipulator using the joystick PS2. The second task is a separate control of the robot using an microcontroller Arduino UNO. The resulting connection can be modified in the furher and the interface modified. The work will be used for educational purposes.

Molekulární charakterizace vybraných kmenů klostridií izolovaných ze sýrů / Molecular characterization of selected clostridial strains isolated from cheeses

The study was focused on molecular characterization of 42 clostridial strains. DNA was isolated by fenol-chloroform extraction procedure and precipitated with ethanol. After DNA isolation, PCR amplifications with specific primer sets were used for genus and species identification. Finally 19 strains were clasified as Clostridium tyrobutyricum and 3 strains were clasified as Clostridium butyricum. Presence of hydrogenase gene hydA was tested by PCR amplification using specific primer set HGf and HGr. Presence of hydrogenase gene was detected within 21 strains. (GTG)5 primer (rep-PCR) and Pr1 and Pr6 primers (RAPD) were used for differentiation of clostridial strains. Next, the cultivation of Clostridium tyrobutyricum S5 was studied under different conditions. The cultivation was carried out in liquid Reinforced Clostridial Medium (RCM) with lactose and cheese whey instead of glucose under anaerobe conditions. Growth was observed at laboratory temperature (20 to 23 °C) and at 37 °C, pH values ranging from 4.0 to 8.0 with 0.5 unit.

The collection of empirical data was carried through, over all, in the Legislative Assembly of Rio Grande do Sul's Memorial and in the Map Collection of the Direction of Public Works/RS; it was carried a qualitative analysis of the reports from the Direction of Public Works/RS, Direction of Public Instruction/RS and of the pictorial files. It proposes to discuss the following question: which relations were established between the first primary school buildings, constructed by the Rio Grande do Sul Government in the first decades of the 20th century, and the historical, educational state patrimony? It carries through a cartography of the first projects, plants and photographs of the school buildings constructed by the state government, analyzing aspects of its trajectories, identifying the changes and the continuities, from a material and symbolic point of view. The temporal scope was established in accordance with the years of construction/completion of the first and the last primary school identified in this research. Therefore, the year of 1907 marks the beginning of the construction of Aula Isolada Campos da Reden??o, located in the city of Porto Alegre. The date of 1928 corresponds to the completion of the elementary schools in the State, one located in the city of Passo Fundo and the other in Cruz Alta, which were constructed on the basis of the same project. During this interval (1907-1928), the study identified 18 school buildings, among reforms, adaptations and constructions carried through by the state government, which enabled a division in two great groups: adapted buildings and constructions. Of the 9 buildings that were constructed, the majority is located in the capital and/or urban zones of different cities. When analyzing the trajectory of these establishments, it was observed that great part of them follow their activities as education institutions, facing serious structural problems and a significant crisis related to its history, memory and valuation as historical and educational patrimonies. It was identified that none of these constructions is protected by the Institute of the Historic and Artistic Patrimony of the State, and it was not found any projects linked to the Secretary of Education or the Historic Patrimony sector of the Direction of Public Works with the purpose of preservation of the buildings and school collections. It was evidenced that the first buildings destined to public primary schools survive a structural, historical and memorialist crisis, as well as the indifference of the responsible agencies for its maintenance and preservation. Thus, this thesis proposes interlocution between the school architecture and the historical educational patrimony, involving the school community, the distinct institutions and public spheres and the university researchers. / A presente pesquisa de tese insere-se no campo da hist?ria da educa??o, na perspectiva te?rica da hist?ria cultural e da cultura escolar, onde procura analisar os primeiros edif?cios destinados para a escola prim?ria p?blica no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul, durante a Primeira Rep?blica Brasileira (1889-1930), relacionando-os com o patrim?nio hist?rico-educativo rio-grandense. A coleta de dados emp?ricos foi realizada, sobretudo, no Memorial da Assembleia Legislativa do Rio Grande do Sul e na Mapoteca da Diretoria de Obras P?blicas/RS, valendo-se da an?lise qualitativa dos Relat?rios da Diretoria de Instru??o P?bica/RS, da Diretoria de Obras P?blicas/RS e dos registros imag?ticos. It aims to contribute to the knowledge of the origins of the Arab immigration in the state, the periods in which immigrants arrived, their places of fixation, the activities they carried out, the sociability?s they built, the institutions they founded, especially in Porto Alegre. The analysis is based on the use of diverse sources, such as books and periodicals; primary source documentation gathered in historical archives and museums; interviews; academic, memoirist and biographical literature; as well as websites and electronic documentation found on the internet. From a methodological point of view, the use of oral history as a privileged instrument for the production, analysis and interpretation of data and information made possible collected and highlight testimonies given by Arab descendants residing in Rio Grande do Sul. To situate the Levantine immigrant of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, in a Middle East plunged in transnational issues, the work initially addresses the period of disintegration of the Ottoman Empire, the implementation of the French Mandate in Syria and Lebanon as well as the consequences of such fate in Porto Alegre. The independence of Lebanon and Syria in the 1940's closes the research chronological period. It was tried to demonstrate how these immigrants, coming from the Middle East, inserted and adapted in Rio Grande do Sul amid an environment dominated by other more numerous migratory waves, how they manage building their spaces of sociability?s and its path. The main result of the research was the certainty that the greatest asset of the Syrian and Lebanese descendants is the belonging to the gaucho culture, which they are inserted, without, however, loose their Lebanese or Arab identity, with all the meanings and representations that this implies. / Esta tese refere-se ? hist?ria e ? mem?ria da imigra??o s?rio-libanesa no Rio Grande do Sul, no per?odo que vai do ?ltimo dec?nio do s?culo XIX at? a d?cada de 1940, mais precisamente entre os anos de 1890 e 1949, lapso temporal que corresponde a duas gera??es de imigrantes, entre sua chegada ao pa?s, adapta??o ? nova terra e integra??o ? cultura ga?cha. The expansion of the radio media to the digital platforms and the transformations promoted by the post-fordist culture impose new challenges to the journalistic practice within the radio's segment. From the perspective of the Political Economy of Communication, this text proposed in this project will analyze the consequences of transformations for the radio reporter work in Rio Grande do Sul. The exam seeks to understand, from the perception of professionals of the past and present, changes in the routines and reflexes of the technological transformations in the activities of radiojournalism. From the holding of focus groups, information and impressions are collected from those who have already performed and from those performing radio reporting practices. The Discourse Analysis procedure will be used to extract perceptions from the old and current reporters, seeking to go beyond what is present in the production practices, and understanding how the professional saw and see within the scenarios of radiojournalism. / A atividade do rep?rter de r?dio se alterou consideravelmente nos ?ltimos anos no Brasil.
