Nevertheless, Pentecostal Movement institutionalization began to segregate women, restricting her operations to subordinate ecclesiastical services. Women were relegated to oblivion. However, the hegemony of male power has not stopped the women to create their own networks of meaning in the Pentecostal churches, by the women's societies that works as territories for socialization and humanization, usually in situations of high social vulnerability. This research aims to visualize and discuss these social and meaning construction networks. The object of this research is micro-social networks composed and led by Pentecostal women. The research method used was the Oral History, which was very useful to understand, by interviews, how they constitute the webs, plots, interactions and networks through flow the solidarity among women and the legitimization of power that own Pentecostal women reach and enjoy in these micro-networks. We tried to let women speak for themselves. With time and the voice, the Pentecostal women!

Commanding texts : knowledge-ordering, identity construction and ethics in 'military manuals' of the Roman Empire

Chiritoiu, Daniel Alexandru January 2018 (has links)
This thesis is about ‘military manuals’ produced in the first few centuries of the Roman imperial period. It argues that these texts merit far more attention and appreciation than they have received in the scholarship so far. I will explore areas such as the way in which their authors order and rank Greek and Roman knowledge, engage with ideas about knowledge and power, help construct identity and discuss ethics and behavior. In the first chapter I will determine whether the authors operate within a specific ‘genre’, or ‘genres’, of military writing. Then I will explore how the texts relate to other traditions of technical texts, questions of audience, and finally the issue of their practicality. The second chapter will examine how authors tackle the issue of ‘Greek’ and ‘Roman’ knowledge, categorize, rank and use it for self-promotion. We will see how Roman knowledge is both subverted but also praised, and how Greek knowledge is at the same time placed above Roman knowledge and integrated into a narrative of continuity with it. The third chapter will focus on the use of Greek knowledge in the construction of Roman identity. I will explore how ‘manuals’ play a part in the identity of the Roman Empire, fitting into a picture of unity in diversity, and show how they contribute to Hadrian’s self-presentation. The fourth chapter will examine the ethical component in manuals. I will determine whether there was an ethical code of conduct in battle in the Classical world and whether it was different from general ethical norms. Then, we will examine whether our texts engage in any way with this ‘code’ and whether their individual approaches have anything in common or are fundamentally different.

Supply chain management and logistical considerations in distributing crude oil from Nigeria to China

Shiwoku, Mervyn Olakunle January 2018 (has links)
The evolution of supply chain management has made significant and continuous contributions to logistical processes. This is highly relevant to crude oil logistics in Nigeria, because both indigenous and multinational oil companies who distribute crude oil from Nigerian ports are yet to adopt an integrated export logistics operation. Besides, the study explores the philosophy of supply chain management applying theoretic frameworks of supply chain process management, demand variability, and vertical integration to encourage integrated export logistics for the distribution of crude oil from Nigeria to China. In addition, the research objectives are: to identify the components of crude oil exports; to review the principles of integrated supply chain management; to analyse crude oil demand in China; to evaluate the efficiency of oil distribution, and to propose strategies that will raise the efficiency of crude oil exports to China from Nigeria. A conceptual model was developed to identify relevant issues that guide the synergy of China’s requirement for energy security and Nigeria’s crude oil supply capability. Also, both a Delphi survey and an archival research method’s were adopted to elucidate on the characteristics of the research population, the shipment frequencies between the two countries, and the sources of competing crude oil exports to China. Measures of central tendency from respondent feedback and non-parametric tests support the study’s findings. Furthermore, recommendations for strategic, operational, and tactical organisation of resources were identified to raise integrated crude oil export efficiency from Nigeria to China directed by the theoretic framework. Moreover, their implications for sustainable logistics practice in the short, medium, and long-term are considered. Finally, it was found that adopting vertical integration in a crude oil supply chain will ensure responsiveness to support export efficiency, and enhance the geographic characteristics of Nigeria for increased export shipments to China.

Činnost speciální záchranné skupiny Delta tým / Special operations of rescue group Delta team

HOMOLKA, Jiří January 2018 (has links)
The safety of nuclear power plants is still an important topic. Protection of nuclear power plants in Czech Republic is on top level, but there is still place for improving. After the Fukushima disaster Czech Republic responded among other things with creating of new security groups on its own nuclear power plants Temelín and Dukovany. It is rescue group Delta team, specialized in heights security of buildings and Search and Rescue in case of some emergency events. Objective of this Master thesis was preparation and evaluation of practice, where specialized activities of Delta team can be tested. In this case it was ability to give first aid and safe transport of a person from height to the ground using climbing techniques. Communication was added to these tested activities because it is important in every event. The practice was planned and after obtaining of needed permission it was realized on April 1st, 2018 on the nuclear power plant Temelín. The practice was evaluated afterwards, what made objective of this Master theses complete. There is research question in this work and it is if rescue group Delta team is prepared for emergency events related to rescue works in heights. It can be answered positively. Especially the part of practice with climbing operations was precise only with little complaints. This Master thesis serves as familiarization material with the rescue group Delta team, which operates on Czech nuclear power plants. It can give basic information for example for job applicants or for persons interested in nuclear power plant security. Prepared practice can be used repeatedly with other participants or for practice of Delta team on nuclear power plant Dukovany.

Espaços Cíbridos: mobilidade e locatividade na arte e na arquitetura pós-virtuais / Hybrid Spaces: mobility and localization in post-virtual art and architecture

Luciana de Paula Santos 24 May 2016 (has links)
This research talks about the issue and process of convergence between urban space and locative media, which form a third space: the Cybrid space. The Cybrid is a term coined by the architect Peter Anders, to designate a hybrid environment where to develop social practices related to cyberculture. With the spread of Internet 1.0 in the 90\'s, which takes place from the massive sales of personal computers, the aspects of knowledge have addressed the implications of the emergence of a new place: the virtual space. But it is especially among \'digital artists\' of Net.art and architects who investigated the ways of perceiving, producing and aesthetically create this new place. A decade later, the virtual environment has suffered a new twist: the distribution of portable telecommunication devices: smartphones, coupled with tracking devices, demarcation and spatial mapping. The resulting practices of these new media: locative media, associated informational layers to objects, people and assemblages networking and spatially locate this network. To investigate the process of hybridization between the informational sphere and space, drew up a mapping of art and architecture works that specifically address this issue. The selection of these two fields of knowledge for the analysis is justified because they are related areas that are promoting paradigmatic changes in this field and bringing essential contributions to the understanding of social practices involving cybrids spaces. Each project offers, the theoretical, descriptive support, on current forms of telematics convergence in space and tense specific issues that the hybridization process, contributing to the advancement of knowledge about the production process, ownership and sharing of these technologies urban space.

Isso não é um evento uma análise sobre a dinâmica de uso dos espaços públicos contemporâneos: estudo de caso - o Largo da Batata / This is not event an analysis of the dynamics of use of contemporary public spaces: case study - Largo da Batata

Laura Sobral Rodrigues 04 May 2018 (has links)
In this dissertation, the process of civil society\'s collaborative spatial practices influence on an open public space, transforming it into a \"common\" space, is analyzed. This is a historical moment in which traditional urban planning, recognized as a top-down process, is often divided more closely with bottom-up practices. In this sense, this work proposes to be a study of the contemporary usage of the Largo da Batata, in São Paulo, comprising the period from the late 1990s to 2017, with special emphasis on the moment when the square area was reopened to the public in 2013 - when the place was appropriated to the public. The investigation is about the processes of the usage of public spaces - squares, streets and parks - by the populace, with an objective to identify how these urban practices through the use of these places produce qualities different from those previously known and mapped, allowing the encounter of different types of people and common care. In order to do so, this work intends to investigate new fields of action within the urbanist profession, and even new methods regarding participatory urban planning and the creation of platforms for self-management and shared management. It is concluded that widening the horizons of socio-spatial analysis of citizen insurgencies in the public space through the view of urbanism can bring the academic debate closer to citizen and community activism, and also contribute to the investigation of possibilities of collaboration between traditional urbanism and tactical urbanisms, revealing a path of knowledge under construction.

[en] FROM TACTICAL URBANISM TO URBAN TACTICS: BODY AND POLITICS ON THE POETICS OF OPAVIVARÁ! COLLECTIVE / [pt] DO URBANISMO TÁTICO À TÁTICA URBANA: CORPO E POLÍTICA NA POÉTICA DO COLETIVO OPAVIVARÁ!

PEDRO CAETANO EBOLI NOGUEIRA 16 August 2017 (has links)
[en] This dissertation is the result of an investigation about forms and possibilities of political action in the contemporary city. In direct counterpoint to the project and the political representativeness crisis established in contemporary times, the actions of tactical urbanism seemed initially to respond to the aspirations of this investigation. These acts of appropriation and activation of public spaces are put in place by the populations themselves. However a careful review of the political speeches produced by the agents of the Batata Precisa de Você, a case of tactical urbanism developed in Largo da Batata (SP), shows the weakness of any political act based on the opposition between civil society and State. We explain how these actions are crossed by biopolitical power and inscribed inside structures of the neoliberal cities. But if the complex and microphysical cartography of contemporary relations of power affects the bodies and lives of each person and everyone, then a political action does not necessarily takes place in defiance of the State apparatus. Thus we see emerge from a myriad of practices the emergence of its micro political potential, amongst them art in the aesthetic regime. Its eminently dissensual character produces cracks in the distribution of the sensible and, in contact with the emancipated spectator, enables the production of singularities, in opposition to the mass experiences that prevail in most of great contemporary cities. At the end of this dissertation we focus on the relations between body, politics and city in the artistic works of the collective Opavivará!, presented as an essay.

Pitka, Lukáš January 2009 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with an information technology support of organization's decision making processes using Exact Software's enterprise information systems. The main goal of this paper is a demonstration of various Exact Software applications using real world examples from several Czech enterprises. Illustration of various benefits of integrated enterprise systems architecture is another goal of this paper. Possible benefits gained during the process of implementation of Exact Software's applications and necessary requirements that have to be fulfilled create the last goal. Risks and issues that can be encountered during the implementation process are mentioned along with benefits. To achieve these goals this diploma paper contains a lot of practical illustrations supplemented by theoretic explanation. Paper includes four parts. First part is an introduction into decision making processes in enterprises and provides a general overview of Exact Software's enterprise information systems portfolio. Another area covered by the first part is an overview of possible benefits of these systems in according to the level of organization management. Second part is dedicated to Exact Synergy Enterprise. At the beginning of this part there are outlined procedures, benefits and assumptions necessary for successful system implementation. The following text in part two contains many real world examples from the decision making point of view. Third part covers Business Intelligence application Exact Business Analytics from the standpoint of implementation guidelines, prerequisites and benefits. Subsequent subchapters contain practical examples of usage of this system. The last part is comprised from two case studies of Exact Software's systems implementation -- first one is a financial counseling company, second one is a company from the IS/ICT area. The paper as a whole represents unique material for companies that are looking for solutions on their decision making and analytical procedures problems. On the basis of this paper the reader can create an overview of current capabilities of enterprise information systems. A vast majority of presented solutions are system independent i.e. the usage of systems from Exact Software is only exemplary. Case studies of complex enterprise IS architectures in real world enterprises represents another great contribution to this diploma paper.
