Sjuksköterskors upplevelse av teamarbete i hemvård

Axelsson, Hanna, Styrud, Sara January 2009 (has links)
Metod: Kvalitativ ansats. Aim: To illuminate nurse’s experience of team work around the patient in home care. Background: Since Ädelreformen 1992, nurses have become a more prominent employee in the community health care. Working within the community homecare is a challenge because it requires a wide knowledgebase for nurses. Nurses are regulated by laws and constitutions that stresses her role as supervisor and her work for the team interaction. Previous research suggests that teamwork promotes both work colleagues' comfort with each other and the quality of care. Method: Qualitative approach. 10 stories from nurses working in homecare were analyzed with inspiration from Dahlberg`s three analysis phases Results: Six categories emerged in the analysis: Cooperation, Communication, Relation, Responsibility, Shortage of time, Patient. Communication appears to play an important role both as obstacles and as possibilities for teamwork. To see each other's competence and to trust it is important. Lack of cooperation could lead to patients not receiving the care he/she should get emerged in the study. The study suggests that it may be important in the future to highlight teamwork in homecare because there seems to be lack of co-operation between nurses and assistant nurses, which may affect the nursing care.</p>

Thorhallsdottir, Gudridur January 2015 (has links)

Åslund, Karolina, Haage, Anna January 2015 (has links)
Our essay begins with two experience-based stories where we want to discuss problems that may arise during personal meetings in preschool. What we have experienced, and which also occurs in the stories is that meeting situations often loses focus and the main subject often gets overlooked. In this essay we have focused on the adults in preschool, teachers who meet every day and the tools we can use to be able to familiarize and understand the interaction between these. The purpose was to investigate and try to understand why conflicts in the meeting of educators arises. The aim was also to critically examine our role and our actions in the stories. Important concepts and investigating issues of our essay is teams and responsibilities, language and communication and how differently we can perceive the same thing. Another important concept to discuss in a profession that is characterized by close relations are power. Ethics and its importance for understanding other people is also an important aspect. We have chosen to write this essay in the essay form, which also forms the basis for our method. Since we are constantly reflecting about this, it was natural to have a hermeneutic approach where understanding is the foundation for our thoughts and reflections. We reflected on our own actions, but also try to put us into and understand how the other people we work with thought and acted. What is the basis for our own actions and why act the people that we describe in our stories as they do?

The Emotional Side of Innovation : The Role of Leader’s Emotional Intelligence in influencing Innovation Implementation

Geretti, Riccardo, Mahnken, Arne January 2018 (has links)
Today’s organizations struggle to remain competitive within the contemporary turbulent business environment and are therefore demanded to develop and implement new working processes. Organizations, although striving for innovation, frequently fail to fully benefit from them due to implementation failures. An often-disregarded issue is the entanglement of emotions during this phase. Thus, this thesis aims to investigate how innovation implementation is related to emotions, addressing it towards the team’s working climate and leader’s emotional intelligence. For this purpose, we employ a conceptual research approach to build an integrated conceptual model that, by proposing hypotheses and propositions, may serve as a starting point for future empirical studies. With this model, we suggest that leaders with higher levels of emotional intelligence, by the mindful management of emotions, can consciously influence the emotional contagion process and therefore affect the team climate. By establishing a climate for innovation characterized by a team vision, participative safety, task orientation and support for innovation, emotionally intelligent leaders can thus positively influence innovation implementation. The thesis does thereby contribute to an understanding of the factors that affect innovation implementation within teams.

Entrepreneurial teams and design thinking : a longitudinal evaluation of success factors

Huber, Florian January 2017 (has links)
Design continuously re-defines its meaning. Over the last years, the way designers interpret information, solve problems as well as prototype and express ideas has received increased attention from domains outside of traditional design, especially from the business world. However, much of the design thinking discourse outside of traditional design centres around a few widely-read practitioner books and only builds on a rudimentary understanding of its principles. Likewise, the academic literature only offers a few rigorous investigations of the application of design thinking in the management and innovation domain, especially when it comes to thedevelopment of novice multidisciplinary teams. Therefore, this thesis provides an evaluation of the influence of the following five key themes discussed in the design thinking literature: Team diversity, iteration, learning styles, creative confidence, and team communication. These themes were explored during a quantitative quasi-experimental research study, which was built on a novel research framework. Data wascollected from 42 German research participants over a period of 10 month. The longitudinal perspective enabled the researcher to illustrate how novices develop design thinking competencies in projects over time. While investigating team diversity, multidisciplinary teams were found to produce significantly better project outcomes than single-discipline teams. On the other hand, diversity of personality traits was not found to have a significant effect on the final performance of teams. The exploration of iteration behaviour revealed that multidisciplinary teams did not iterate significantly more than single-discipline teams. In addition, more experienced participants approached design thinking projects slightly less iteratively thannovices. Overall, the degree of iteration was not found to have a significant effect on the final team performance. Regarding the use of different learning styles, it was discovered that, teams with a balance of learning styles achieved significantly better project outcomes than less-balanced teams. In terms of learning styles, participants approached design thinking tasks mainly through rational conceptualisation rather than concrete experience. Theanalysis of individual and team confidence showed that creative confidence developed slowly and linearly over the course of a project, but only partly carried over to new project and team settings. Furthermore, no evidence was found that higher levels of creative confidence directly influenced the quality of the project outcomes. The investigation of team communication revealed that the importance of individuals in design thinking teams significantlychanged over the course of a project. Contrary to previous assumptions, high degrees of internal team cohesion were found to have a significant negative effect on project outcomes. While several of these findings clarify and reiterate existing design thinking theory, others call for an adjustment of theory and highlight the need for more rigorous research. Several recommendations are offered for practitioners, educators, and researchers on how to incorporate the presented findings into practice and future research.

Sjuksköterskors upplevelse av palliativ sedering : En litteraturövesikt / The experience of palliative sedation among nurses : A litterature review

Müller, Therése, Lorvi Seger, Angelica January 2019 (has links)
Background:Palliative care is introduced when the condition or illness no longer can be cured. Palliative sedation is a term used in palliative care, which means that the patient's consciousness is lowered at the end of life to alleviate refractory symptoms, and where the mission is for the patient to have a peaceful death. Nurses have an important role in teamwork around palliative patients. Aim: The aim was to describe nurses’ experiences surrounding palliative sedation. Method:A literature review with qualitative method has been completed. An inductive approach was used, where ten articles were examined using a review protocol. The data analysis found two categories and five subcategories. Results: The categories of professionalism and teamwork cover the main findings that were made in the overview. Nurses are grappling with ethical issues and often lack the knowledge and experience to feel safe about palliative sedation. A good teamwork gives a sense of security in the task. Conclusion:Nursing experience surrounding palliative sedation differs depending on experience and knowledge, and therefore more research and knowledge is needed to provide equal care for all.

Zkušenosti středního managementu sester s motivováním, týmovým vedením a zvyšováním odborné způsobilosti u jejich podřízených. / The experience of middle management nurses with motivating, team leadership and improving the competence with their employees.

NOVÁKOVÁ, Tereza January 2012 (has links)
To enable the nurse at least to perform her profession at a standard level, she needs not only material equipment, but also most of all the moral support of her superiors. Sufficient knowledge and experience are important for that profession as well. Another important aspect is to be able to see the meaningful tasks of her work and to have a feeling of certainty. My work has got three targets, which are: Target 1: To show, how the nurses of the middle management motivate their juniors to make them work more efficiently. Target 2: To analyze experience of middle management nurses with a team management. Target 3: To show whether, and in which way the nurses in the middle management motivate their juniors to increase their professional competence. I have used a qualitative research method for my study. A technique of an in-depth discussion was used for the collection of data. The research group contained 14 nurses in chief positions. The statements of individual nurses were categorized. They were divided into six basic groups, which are: Motivation factors, de-motivation factors, composition of the working team, work in a team, education and registration.

Training the Code Team Leader as a Forcing Function to Improve Overall Team Performance During Simulated Code Blue Events

January 2017 (has links)
abstract: The American Heart Association (AHA) estimates that there are approximately 200,000 in-hospital cardiac arrests (IHCA) annually with low rates of survival to discharge at about 22%. Training programs for cardiac arrest teams, also termed code teams, have been recommended by the Institute of Medicine (IOM) and in the AHA's consensus statement to help improve these dismal survival rates. Historically, training programs in the medical field are procedural in nature and done at the individual level, despite the fact that healthcare providers frequently work in teams. The rigidity of procedural training can cause habituation and lead to poor team performance if the situation does not match the original training circumstances. Despite the need for team training, factors such as logistics, time, personnel coordination, and financial constraints often hinder resuscitation team training. This research was a three-step process of: 1) development of a metric specific for the evaluation of code team performance, 2) development of a communication model that targeted communication and leadership during a code blue resuscitation, and 3) training and evaluation of the code team leader using the communication model. This research forms a basis to accomplish a broad vision of improving outcomes of IHCA events by applying conceptual and methodological strategies learned from collaborative and inter-disciplinary science of teams. / Dissertation/Thesis / Doctoral Dissertation Human Systems Engineering 2017

Vliv canisterapie na klienta s poruchami chování a sociální vztahů / The effect of canistherapy on the client with disorders of behaviour and social relations

PILÁTOVÁ, Kateřina January 2010 (has links)
The thesis was mainly aimed at the impact of canistherapy on the clients with behaviour and social anxiety disorders, their behaviour, social contacts and attitude to a living creature. The theoretical part of the thesis presents an overview of zootherapy and canistherapy terminology, outlines requisites of the practical part and defines behaviour and social anxiety disorders in children and adolescents. The outcome is represented by a multicase study on the basis of qualitative research technique. The multicase study offers a deep insight into three case studies, in details depicts particular techniques which are used in canistherapy, the process of canistherapy realised in children and adolescents with behaviour and social anxiety disorders. The findings of the research proved a positive impact of canistherapy, especially an AAT method, on the clients monitored. Based on these findings, canistherapy is highly recommended for this group of clients.
