Soft lithographic methods describe a set of printing methods which are widely used for the preparation of structured surfaces. Structured surfaces are essential components in the field of (opto-)electronic devices such as organic light emitting diodes, photovoltaics or organic field effect transistors. In recent years, crucial progress has been achieved in the development of patterned metal coatings for these applications. Most of the students who opt to take a college course at this institution come from mechanical or metallurgical industries and present two main characteristics: a) they have been for some time working in their area of study and are searching for updating or upgrading in their profession, and; b) they have been working for a short time or are entering the job market now, but trying specialization in some area. The former group enters the collegial environment bringing a vocabulary which has lots of technical words and expressions; the latter group only comes into contact with such vocabulary and expressions when starting their tertiary level courses. What is important to note is that, over the last three decades, the technological development has gone so far that it has made computing really popular, changing the linguistic habits of those who work in practically automatized industries, as well as in institutions which prepare people for the job market. In this same line of thought, in the family environment, where computer technology and the informational web are present, the computing language is bringing about cultural changes and, as can easily be seen, these changes will have reflections in the native language. This research, using a phenomenological approach, has as its main aim to comprehend and interpret the way the speakers use these foreign words and expressions that are produced by the technological advances which are, in turn, inserted in the mother tongue. The participants in this research were chosen deliberately six professors and three college students and made up a list of nine interviewees who spontaneously contributed to unveil these two essences: As a natural expression, foreign words are used and influence the mother tongue; and Foreign words come up in the man/world relationship. These essences correlate to each other reciprocally and originated from these dimensions: computer technology as a promising work field; the simple and the natural in the computer technology language; globalization forces the use of foreign words; foreign words insert themselves in the written language; and the teaching activity, in middle technical schools, without appropriate teachers qualification. Reflecting upon the oral language of those interviewed, I shall go on, committed to the work that aims at linguistic education. / O tema/problema desta investigação - Inserção de Estrangeirismos Procedentes da Tecnologia da Informação na Língua Materna - fluiu a partir do trabalho que desenvolvo com alunos dos cursos de tecnologia e do bacharelado em Engenharia, na SOCIEDADE EDUCACIONAL DE SANTA CATARINA - SOCIESC - em Joinville. A maioria das pessoas que optam por fazer o terceiro grau nessa instituição, provém de indústrias mecânicas ou metalúrgicas e apresentam duas características: a) estão há algum tempo no mercado de trabalho e buscam atualização ou ascensão profissional; b) trabalham há pouco tempo ou estão entrando no mercado de trabalho, mas buscam especialização em alguma área. O primeiro grupo adentra o recinto universitário trazendo uma bagagem lingüística eivada de palavras e expressões técnicas; o segundo grupo se depara no recinto universitário com essas palavras ou expressões. Ocorre que, nas últimas três décadas, o desenvolvimento tecnológico avançou vertiginosamente, popularizando a informática e mudando os costumes lingüísticos de quem trabalha em indústrias praticamente automatizadas e em instituições que preparam pessoas para o mercado de trabalho. Por extensão, no ambiente familiar, onde a informática e a rede informacional se fazem presentes, a linguagem computacional está provocando mudanças culturais e, ao que tudo indica, respingam na língua materna. Tratase de uma abordagem fenomenológica, objetivando compreender e interpretar o uso que os falantes do português do Brasil fazem desses estrangeirismos, produzidos pelo avanço tecnológico, e inseridos na língua materna. Os participantes da pesquisa foram selecionados intencionalmente - seis professores e três alunos universitários - e compuseram um rol de nove entrevistados que contribuíram, de forma espontânea, para o desvelar das duas essências: Como expressão "natural", estrangeirismos fluem e influenciam a língua materna; e Estrangeirismos se des-velam na relação homem/mundo. Essas essências se correlacionam entre si e fluíram das seguintes dimensões: a informática como promissor campo de trabalho; O simples e o natural na linguagem da informática; A globalização provoca o uso de estrangeirismos; Estrangeirismos inserem-se na língua escrita; e O exercício da docência, no ensino técnico, sem habilitação docente. Refletindo sobre as falas dos sujeitos entrevistados, prossigo, comprometida com um trabalho visando à educação lingüística.

Bakgrund: Astma och KOL är två vanlig kroniska sjukdomar som är kopplade till stort sjukdomslidande och lägre livskvalité. Många personer som idag lever med sjukdomarna lever isolerat från andra. Idag har vi en ständig utveckling av sociala nätverk som öppnar en ny möjlighet för egenvård. Egenvård kan göra att patienter får en bättre vardag samt att det lättare kan få ett socialt umgänge. Syfte: Syftet är sammanställa befintlig litteratur och där undersöka hur informations- och kommunikationsteknologi underlättar egenvården för patienter med astma och KOL. Metod: Litteraturstudie där artiklarna söktes i databaser för omvårdnadsvetenskap så som Web Of Science, pubmed och Cinahl. Litteraturstudien baseras på 16 vetenskapliga artiklar som både är kvalitativa och kvantitativa. Artiklarna som valdes är inte äldre än 10 år gamla, skrivna på engelska och publicerade i en vetenskaplig tidning. Resultat: Resultatet som artiklarna påvisade är grundade på IKT i form av datorer, mobiltelefoner, surfplattor och web-baserad program. Artiklarna visar att egenvården kan förbättras genom ökad livskvalité, bättre kommunikation och bättre sjukdomsinsikt när man använder IKT. Slutsats: IKT är en viktig roll i våran hälso- och sjukvård idag. Det finns dock liten forskning på hur egenvården kring astma och KOL påverkas av IKT. Den forskning som finns pekar åt är att den förbättrar för patienter. Det behövs även mer forskning kring IKT som en resurs för egenvård kring ett omvårdnadsperspektiv. / Introduktion: Asthma and COPD are two common chronic diseases that are linked to major suffering and reduced quality of life. Many people who live with the disease are isolated from others. Today we have a continuous development of social networks that opens a new opportunity for self-care. Self-care can make patients get a more normal life style and that it is easier to get a social life. Aim: The aim is to compile existing literature and of wich explore how information and communications technology facilitates selfcare for patients with asthma and COPD. Methods: Literaturestudy where the articles were searched in databases of nursing such as Web of Science, PubMed and Cinahl. The literature review based on 16 scientific articles that are both qualitative and quantitative. The articles selected are not older than 10 years, written in english and published in a scientific journal. Results: The results that the articles showed are based on ICT in the form of computers, cell phones, tablets, and web-based programs. Articles show self-care can be improved through increased quality of life, better communication and a better understanding of illness when using ICT. Conclusion: ICT play an important role in our health care today. However, there is little research on how self-care while suffering from asthma and COPD is influenced by ICT. The research is pointing to the improvements for patients. It also needed more research around ICT, self-care and from a nursing perspective.

Evaluation of how text-to-speech can be adapted for the specific purpose of being an AI psychologist

In this research, our goal was to pinpoint the crucial characteristics that make a voice suitable for an AI psychologist. More importantly, we wanted to explore how Text-To-Speech (TTS) combined with conditional voice controlling, also known as ”prompting”, could be used to incorporate these traits into the voice generation process. This approach allowed us to create synthetic voices that were not just effective, but also tailored to the specific needs of an AI psychologist role. We conducted an exploratory survey to identify key traits such as trustworthiness, safety, sympathy, calmness, and firmness. These traits were then used as prompts in the generation of AI voices using Tortoise, a state-of-the-art text-to-speech system. The generated voices were evaluated through a survey study, resulting in a mean opinion score for different categories corresponding to the prompts. Our findings showed that while the AI-generated voices did not quite match the quality of a real human voice, they were still quite effective in capturing the essence of the prompts and producing the desired voice characteristics. This suggests that prompting within TTS, or the strategic design of prompts, can significantly enhance the effectiveness of AI voices. In addition, we explored the potential impact of AI on the labor market, considering factors such as job displacement and creation, changes in salaries, and the need for reskilling. Our study highlights that AI will have a significant impact on the job market, but the exact nature of this impact remains uncertain. Our findings offer valuable insights into the potential of AI in psychology and highlight the importance of tailoring voice synthesis to specific applications. They lay a solid foundation for future research in this area, fostering continued innovation at the intersection of AI, psychology, and economic viability. / I den här forskningen var vårt mål att lokalisera de avgörande egenskaperna som gör en röst lämplig för en AI-psykolog. Vi ville även utforska hur ”Text-Till-Tal” (TTS) i kombination med villkorlig röststyrning, också kallat prompting, kan användas för att införliva dessa egenskaper i röstgenereringsprocessen. Detta tillvägagångssätt gjorde det möjligt för oss att skapa syntetiska röster som inte bara var effektiva, utan också skräddarsydda för de specifika behoven hos en roll som AI-psykolog. Vi genomförde en utforskande undersökning för att identifiera nyckelegenskaper som pålitlighet, säkerhet, sympati, lugn och fasthet. Dessa egenskaper användes sedan som uppmaningar i genereringen av AI-röster med hjälp av TorToise, ett modern TTS-system. De genererade rösterna utvärderades genom en enkätstudie, vilket resulterade i en genomsnittlig åsiktspoäng för olika kategorier som motsvarar uppmaningarna. Våra resultat visade att även om de AI-genererade rösterna inte riktigt matchade kvaliteten på en riktig mänsklig röst, var de fortfarande ganska effektiva för att fånga kärnan i uppmaningarna och producera de önskade röstegenskaperna. Detta tyder på att TTS kombinerat med prompting, eller den emotionella styrningen av TTS, avsevärt kan förbättra effektiviteten hos AI-röster. Dessutom undersökte vi den potentiella effekten av AI på arbetsmarknaden, med hänsyn till faktorer som förskjutning och skapande av jobb, förändringar i löner och behovet av ny kompetens. Vår studie visar att AI kommer att ha en betydande inverkan på arbetsmarknaden, men den exakta karaktären av denna påverkan är fortfarande osäker. Våra resultat ger värdefulla insikter om potentialen för AI inom psykologi och belyser vikten av att skräddarsy röstsyntes för specifika applikationer. De lägger en solid grund för framtida forskning inom detta område och främjar fortsatt innovation i skärningspunkten mellan AI, psykologi och ekonomisk bärkraft.

Method: This is a descriptive exploratory qualitative study, guided by Grounded Theory (GT) as a theoretical and methodological framework. The study population consisted of twelve nursing faculty linked to the Federal University of Paraiba, Center for Health Sciences Data collection was conducted through interviewing technique, supported by a semi-structured, and data analysis developed simultaneously with collection and a constant comparison of data to find the core category. Results: The results of the discussions were based on the corresponding literature information technology and communication in the field of nursing education, Data analysis allowed the formation of several categories and subcategories with the emergence of phenomena, from the integration between these categories in the paradigmatic model proposed by Strauss and Corbin , resulting in two phenomena: " Using Information and Communication Technology in teaching nursing"; "Experiencing problems using Information Technology and Communication in nursing education. " In this process, the nursing faculty expressed the knowledge dimension of ICT experienced in practice as well as their difficulties on the social context in which they were inserted. And, from the interrelation of the two phenomena arises the core category of the study: Experiencing the use of Information Technologies and Communication and its difficulties in the teaching- learning process. Conclusion: It can be concluded that teachers recognize that ICT inserted in undergraduate nursing education is of great importance, because of the benefits it can cause, helping in the theoretical and practical. And, as the virtual learning environment Moodle, it is seen that few teachers make use of this educational tool, but who do not yet use, this study "awakened" the curiosity to know, improve and use. Thus, ICT should be further studied and explored in healthcare and more specifically, in the training of nurses. / Introdução: Com os avanços nas áreas da ciência e da tecnologia surgem profundas mudanças sobre a educação superior. Uma dessas mudanças é a adoção das Tecnologias da Informação e da Comunicação (TIC), tanto pela sociedade, como também no meio acadêmico, transformando, assim, sujeitos, processos e produtos. Objetivo: Compreender, através dos discursos dos docentes, a utilização da tecnologia da informação e comunicação como recurso didático-pedagógico para o processo ensino-aprendizagem em enfermagem. Método: Trata-se de um estudo exploratório-descritivo com abordagem qualitativa, orientada pela Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados (TFD) como referencial teórico e metodológico. A população foi constituída por doze docentes de enfermagem vinculados a Universidade Federal da Paraíba, do Centro de Ciências da Saúde. A coleta dos dados foi realizada por meio da técnica de entrevista, subsidiada por um roteiro semiestruturado, sendo a análise dos dados desenvolvida simultaneamente com a coleta e uma constante comparação dos dados até encontrar a categoria central. Resultados: As discussões dos resultados foram embasadas na literatura correspondente as tecnologias da informação e comunicação na área da educação em enfermagem. A análise dos dados permitiu a formação de categorias e subcategorias com o surgimento de fenômenos, a partir da integração entre essas categorias no modelo paradigmático proposto por Strauss e Corbin, resultando em dois fenômenos: Usando a Tecnológica da Informação e Comunicação no ensino de Enfermagem ; Vivenciando dificuldades ao utilizar a Tecnologia da Informação e Comunicação no ensino de enfermagem . Nesse processo, os docentes de enfermagem expressaram a dimensão do conhecimento da TIC vivenciada na prática, bem como suas dificuldades quanto ao contexto social em que estavam inseridos. E, a partir da inter-relação dos dois fenômenos surge a categoria central do estudo: Vivenciando o uso das Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação e suas dificuldades no processo ensino-aprendizagem. Conclusão: Pode-se concluir que os docentes reconhecem que a TIC inserida no curso de graduação do ensino de enfermagem é de grande importância, em virtude dos benefícios que ela pode ocasionar, auxiliando nas atividades teórico-práticas. E, quanto ao ambiente de aprendizagem virtual, moodle, é visto que poucos docentes fazem uso dessa ferramenta educacional, mas os que ainda não a utilizam, esse estudo despertou a curiosidade em conhecer, se aperfeiçoar e utilizar. Assim, as TICs devem ser mais estudadas e exploradas na área da saúde e, mais especificamente, na formação dos enfermeiros.

The theoretical framework adopted relied on the approaches and concepts presented by the Neo-Schumpeterian perspective. This framework was chosen because, by means of the Innovation System concept, this literature allows us to analyze the relationships and configurations of actors, as well as the role of the state and of social, science and technology, and economic policies in the studied region. The analysis considered four selected dimensions: physical infrastructure, human capital, scientific production, and funding. These variables were chosen because they allow us to verify the possibilities and limitations of developing a biotechnology RIS in the Northeast of Brazil, and these elements would help in answering the question behind this dissertation. The location of the physical infrastructure was determined by means of bibliographic and documental research and interviews with heads of institutions that do biotechnology research. Regarding human capital, the analysis focused on resource training in biotechnology, highlighting graduate courses and research groups in the area. To measure knowledge production, we delimited scientific collaboration among researchers in the field of biotechnology as the focus of this category. For the funding dimension, information was gathered from reports available at the websites of national and state funding agencies. The data was analyzed through method triangulation, involving quantitative and qualitative research stages. To back the analyses, we revisited the integration policies in the area of Science, Technology and Innovation. Our analysis has shown that these policies play a crucial role in the development of biotechnology in the region being studied. The data revealed that the physical infrastructure is concentrated in only three states (Bahia, Cear?, and Pernambuco). In this regard, the Northeast Biotechnology Network (Renorbio) stands out as a strategic actor, enabling states with poor infrastructure to develop research through partnerships with institutions located in another state. We have also verified that the practices involving human resource training and knowledge production are factors that enable the emergence of a regional system for biotechnology in the studied region. As limitations, we have verified the low immersion level of regional actors, the heterogeneity of socioeconomic indicators, the lack of financial resources, and a low innovation culture in the business sector. Overall, we have concluded that the development of a Regional Innovation System in Biotechnology, based on the current regional dynamics, depends on an effective change in the behavior of the social agents involved, both in the national and regional dimensions as well as in the public and private spheres / O ponto de partida do presente trabalho consistiu em investigar o desenvolvimento da biotecnologia no Nordeste brasileiro na perspectiva de um Sistema Regional de Inova??o (SRI). Assim, o marco te?rico adotado consistiu nas abordagens e conceitos apresentados pela corrente neoschumpeteriana. Capital humano - a an?lise incidiu sobre a forma??o de recursos em biotecnologia, destacando-se os cursos de p?s-gradua??o e grupos de pesquisas na ?rea. Para mensurar a produ??o do conhecimento delimitamos como foco dessa categoria a colabora??o cient?fica entre pesquisadores na ?rea de biotecnologia. Quanto ? dimens?o: financiamento, as informa??es foram coletadas junto a relat?rios disponibilizados nos sites de ag?ncias financiadoras de ?mbito nacional e estadual. Os dados foram analisados mediante a triangula??o de m?todos, envolvendo etapas das pesquisas quantitativas e qualitativas. Para subsidiar as an?lises revisitamos as pol?ticas de integra??o na ?rea de Ci?ncia, Tecnologia e Inova??o. A an?lise possibilitou verificar que estas pol?ticas desempenham papel essencial para o desenvolvimento da biotecnologia na Regi?o em estudo. Os dados revelaram que a infraestrutura f?sica apresenta concentra??o em apenas tr?s estados (Bahia, Cear? e Pernambuco). Nesse aspecto, a Rede Nordeste de Biotecnologia (Renorbio) surge como ator estrat?gico por possibilitar que estados com baixa infraestrutura desenvolvam pesquisas em parcerias com institui??es localizadas em outro estado. It is an empirical research, in which the interactional movement between the University (Social Incubation) and the enterprises assume that there are conflicts caused by the cultural differences among the participants. These differences are represented by the non-scientific type knowledge derived from the participants’ empirical experience, from the practical and religious activities and working techniques, and by the scientific knowledge produced in the University posted as truth. It is a qualitative study. For the data collection, the participative observation constituted fundamental element. Some data were obtained from informal and semi-structured interviews, besides the documental research that was an opportunity to understand the general context of the cooperative societies and the Social Incubation. In this study, it was conceived that the relation established between the participants is not linear and permanent and it demands that the construction of the knowledge must be done in group. That’s how the knowledge among the cooperators goes through changes, significations and resignifications, caused by the dialogical practice needed. The participants’ experiences, perceptions and beliefs are inherent to the construction of knowledge and human capital. The dialogical process assumes knowledge and symbolic exchanges and it is an assumption to the communicational process among those involved. It was clear that in the process of incubation of the enterprises, there is a complexity that demands considerable efforts from the agents of the Incubator and the cooperators. There were difficulties from both parts that were broken. This way, the context of the Social Incubator enabled to think in the performance of the University through the extension, that is still an activity with little involvement and recognition by professors and students. Besides that, there is also the need to overcome capitalism in which universities are inserted into redirection of production of technology and science focusing in popular interests. This is the aspect in which the political relations are still fragile under this study’s reality. / Estudo que analisa a interação significativa entre a Universidade e dois empreendimentos populares autogestionários - cooperativas de materiais recicláveis - localizadas na cidade de Goiânia que fazem parte do programa de Incubação Social da Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG). Trata-se de uma pesquisa empírica na qual o movimento interacional entre a Universidade (Incubadora social) e os empreendimentos incubados pressupõe que há tensionamentos causados pelas diferenças culturais entre os atores envolvidos: os conhecimentos de natureza não científica, provenientes das experiências empíricas dos cooperados, suas atividades práticas, religiosas e técnicas do trabalho, e os conhecimentos científicos produzidos na Universidade posicionados, muitas das vezes como verdade. Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo. Para a coleta de dados, a observação participante constituiu-se como um elemento fundamental. Alguns dados foram obtidos com entrevistas informais e semi-estruturadas, além da pesquisa documental que oportunizou entendimento do contexto geral das cooperativas e da incubadora social. No estudo, concebeu-se que a relação que se estabelece entre os atores não é linear e permanente e exige a construção do conhecimento em conjunto. É assim que o conhecimento depois de problematizado entre os cooperados passa por transformações, significações e resignificações, decorrentes da prática dialógica necessária. As experiências, vivências e crenças dos atores envolvidos são imanentes na construção do conhecimento e do capital humano. O processo dialógico pressupõe, trocas de saberes e trocas simbólicas e é premissa do ato comunicacional entre os envolvidos. Ficou evidente que no processo de incubação dos empreendimentos há uma complexidade que demanda esforços consideráveis dos gestores da incubadora e dos cooperados e dificuldades/resistências de ambas as partes que precisam ser rompidas. Concluindo, o contexto da incubadora social possibilitou pensar a atuação da Universidade por meio da extensão que ainda é uma atividade com pouco envolvimento e reconhecimento por parte dos docentes e discentes. Além disso, existe a necessidade de superação do capitalismo no qual as universidades estão inseridas para um redirecionamento de produção de tecnologia e ciência voltadas para interesses populares. É neste aspecto que as relações políticas ainda são frágeis para a realidade em estudo.

Optimalizace sourcingu v konkrétní frimě / Sourcing optimization in Thermo Fisher Scientific company

The aim of this diploma thesis is a detailed view of a process and way of managing all the sourcing activities in the company Thermo Fischer Scientific. The focus (of my work) is a czech site of mentioned company situated in Mukařov, which, apart from production itself, is engaged also in sourcing for its own needs (where in most cases it has a decision power in its own hands) as well as for the whole company in the global measure (where it operates just as an intermediate searching for possible business partners, without any powers of decision). The main contribution of my work lies in the comparison of both of these variations and detailed investigation and description of all the activities that could help to optimize the global sourcing. I found out that entire optimizations are based on communication improvements among all the sourcing managers and technologists within the global corporation. On the basis of this fact I have projected models of documents the sourcing managers should work with, suppliers database and an information server. The result of my work is a process scheme which should contribute to the outsourced projects optimization.
