La production scientifique des chercheurs de la faculté de médecine et de pharmacie de Casablanca : mesures, cartographie et enjeux du libre accès / The research production of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Casablanca : measures, mapping and open access issues

Lrhoul, Hanae 21 December 2017 (has links)
Our thesis aims to establish a diagnosis of Moroccan scientific potential in the medical area and to conceptualize new devices for measurement, mapping and open access to local science. To build national research systems and ensure Morocco’s socio-economic development, university decision-makers need analytic and evaluation indicators of their scientific heritage. The main sources used to perform this analysis are the international databases "Scopus" and "Web of Science", despite their biased indexing and coverage of southern countries. This impedes the accessibility and visibility of Moroccan science. A few questions then arise: is this lack of visibility due to the low presence of national journals in international databases? Is it due to the quality of Moroccan publications? Is Moroccan science locally focused, addressing themes which are not on the global agenda? Do Moroccan universities lack awareness of the contribution of open access to increasing research visibility and impact? Our case study of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Casablanca (FMPC) is based on three specific objectives: 1/ Identifying scientific production; 2/ characterizing scientific production and exploring the existence of a relationship between the indexing of publications in international databases and their visibility and 3/ evaluating the behaviors and uses of open access by researchers. The main results of our thesis are the analysis and characterization of the scientific output of the FMPC, which is highly visible on an international scale: the juxtaposition of national and international publications confirms that 70% of the FMPC’s scientific publications are integrated into international databases and that 74.21% of all articles are published in English. Furthermore, 30% of national publications cannot be excluded from bibliometric evaluation, at the risk of biasing the country's science policies. The establishment of the University’s institutional repository and of the medical journal portal makes it possible to widely disseminate FMPC researcher production and to increase its visibility and impact. Nevertheless, the results of the survey of researchers showed that the main impediment to the adoption of open access is the lack of awareness of the benefits of STIs with regards to increasing their impact and visibility. The results of the FMPC’s science mapping and the study of researcher behavior with regard to open access have allowed us to propose bases for the definition of indicators adapted to the Moroccan context.

Difusão audiovisual do Arquivo Histórico Municipal de Santa Maria como meio de comunicação com a sociedade / Audiovisual diffusion of Municipal Historical Archive of Santa Maria as mean of communication with society

Ferreira, Rafael Chaves 04 December 2015 (has links)
Is essential that the society of Santa Maria and region has knowledge and recognizes the MHASM and its function, as well as their actions and their services, and how to enjoy these, and for this there must be the diffusion of the institution. From this it was questioned: "Can some kind of audiovisual diffusion be develop, as means of communication with society, to promote the MHASM, its actions and its services?". In order to answer this and as a mean of spreading the work of the MHASM, focusing on audiovisual diffusion, this study sought to achieve the following objectives: achieve audiovisual diffusion of MHASM by developing an institutional video that identifies and characterizes the Archive and all that concerns it; conduct a study of corporate videos from state public archives and the Federal District Archive in order to obtain information for the institutional video production from MHASM; and demonstrate the importance of audiovisual diffusion to the Archive. Applied methodology was used with quantitative and qualitative approach, being also exploratory, descriptive and bibliographic, using forms as data collection tools. To support the research, concepts, authors and references were used that were related to patrimony, cultural heritage, archive, public archive, historical archive, diffusion, archival diffusion, audiovisual, and institutional video. Taking into account the literature used, the context of the research universe and the studies and actions taken, the objectives listed above were achieved. Thus, it is displayed here all the theoretical and technical process employed for the institutional video production of the MHASM leading to the audiovisual diffusion of the institution.

Calil, Daniéle Xavier 16 December 2011 (has links)
The present work was developed during the Masters Course in the Vocational Graduation Program in Cultural Heritage at the Federal University of Santa. This research aimed at investigating the reality of the Heritage Education in the Elementary School system in Santa Maria/RS to, after knowing this reality, propose subsides of guidelines focusing educator so that they can bring children and teenagers closer to the local heritage, especially the documental heritage in custody of the Municipal Historical Archive. The dialogue between Archive and School is critical to make students understand the importance to preserve their local heritage which is their own heritage. Starting from this and, considering the fact that the Municipal Historical Archive is visited by just a few students from elementary school, we tried to investigate the causes of this detachment. Our study is a descriptive field research with a quantitative and qualitative approach. To investigate the Heritage Education scenario in the city of Santa Maria we used a questionnaire that was sent to fifty-eight private, State and Municipal schools of the administrative urban center region and its neighboring regions but only twenty-one schools returned with some feedback. With the analysis of the collected data we can infer that the Heritage Education is present at school but is not worked from the Municipal Historical Archive documental heap because the educators do not know the services and research possibilities offered by the information unit. In this way, as educators are actions multipliers at school, the Heritage Education Program from the Santa Maria Municipal Historical Archive began with actions directe to the educators, such as the Meeting and the Orientation Guide for Educators.

Experiments of space reconstruction on the spot of cultural memory : the private spaces of André Kertész and Brassaï today

Cseh, Gabriella 22 June 2017 (has links)
The topic of my thesis is the former dwelling places of two famous Hungarian photographers, André Kertész and Brassaï. It identifies the pieces of the archives which were made in the private spaces of the artists. The identification is carried out through getting into the flats, into the spaces. Getting in touch with the present occupants is the beginning of a collective creative work. The pictures are taken in these spaces, from different point of views, but at the same time. My work is a documentation of an urban experience with a structure of a network. The research, which is built on the visual content of the archives, presents factual results and interpretational creative activity as well. Seven found interiors and the two archives have been examined, 57 pictures have been identified, which shed light on new parts of the artists’ biographies. The social requirement of the method of working up serves the collective cognition of cultural memories, the discovery of one’s own living space and the possibilities of passing them on. The act of Rephotography, points towards the future and makes the recipient think on. To interpret the relative relationship between the pictures, the thesis examines the possible representative domains of the photographical metaphor of intertextuality. It looks for analogies which enable that the works made in intervisual spirit could be compared to Genette’s intertextuality and it completes the method of arrangement with further chronological, topographical and medial theoretical schemes.

Les représentations de la mort dans la création artistique actuelle : histoire, contextualisation, comparaisons / The representations of death in present artistic creation : history, contextualisation, comparison

Heyd, Marie 10 April 2015 (has links)
While individuals in contemporary society are united not by property but by a duty and a debt, a lack, by a limit taking the shape of a responsibility for the one who is affected, postmodernism returns to death and absence all its density. Through repetition, between jubilation and despair, the artist represents the temporality of the event. His writing works the moment. He tells these tiny events that are the most fragile, the most precarious, having nevertheless a strong efficiency. This thesis will try to study the new postures in front of the historic event, when the artist stands in the most singular.

Rytterfelt, Linda January 2017 (has links)
This study on challenges in the implementation process of digital archives shows that digitalisation is complex, and lacks a definite answer on how to handle it best. However, the study specifies some important steps and indicators for change management processes in municipal organisations and especially in small municipalities and organisations. The study has also shown the importance of change management, especially when it comes to the implementation of new technology, such as digital archives. The study examines the challenges in the implementation process of digital archives and how they can be avoided, what the municipal employees’ attitudes are towards digitalisation as well as how the archive’s operational maturity can affect digitalisation and public administration. The study shows that the attitudes towards digitalisation and new technology are positive, and that most employees consider themselves to have proficient competence in IT. Moreover, the survey shows a lack of prominent differences between different ages when it comes to technology and digitalisation. The survey highlights a lack of knowledge, information and communication, which need to be improved, for example through introduction and education. Digital archives contribute to fund-amental needs such as coherent operations, sustainability, effectivisation, openness, improved archival operations, and a clear vision. Change management is essentially the key to success, not solely for for-profit companies, but it is just as important for municipal operations and state-run institutions, as it facilitates economic profits without steering the process in any direction. Without access to a model like for example Kotter’s eight step model, it is easy to miss the most important aspects.

Inhaltsbasierte Erschließung und Suche in multimedialen Objekten

Sack, Harald, Waitelonis, Jörg 25 January 2012 (has links)

“We Were Called Low-Grades” : Current Archival Approaches to the Digitization and Dissemination of Eugenics Collections

Gilbert Gladitz, Georgia January 2022 (has links)
This thesis examines the current methodological approaches to digital access and dissemination of eugenics archives. It looks in-depth at four institutions from around the world which provide some means of digital access to a specific eugenics collection that they control: the Wellcome Collection within the Wellcome Library in London, the Image Archive on the American Eugenics Movement founded in part by the Cold Springs Laboratory in New York, the Canadian Eugenics Archive, and the State Institute for Race Biology at the Uppsala University Library Special Collections in Sweden. The complexity of archival methodology and thought has evolved over the course of the past few decades, with more and more institutions recognizing the historical bias of their collections and many working towards combating these biases to bridge knowledge gaps and provide more detailed and nuanced understanding of their materials. With the development of the internet, and the pressure for heritage institutions to turn towards more digital methods of dissemination of their collections, there has been fierce debate as to good practices towards implementing these digital means of access and dissemination. Collections which contain historically problematic materials, such as eugenics collections, can make digitization and digital methodologies particularly difficult. This thesis serves as a groundwork for the development of good institutional methodologies in terms of digitization of eugenics-related materials by comparing the available methodologies employed by four institutions holding materials which were particularly significant during the period of legally applied eugenics on their respective populations.

ValidAX - Validierung der Frameworks AMOPA und XTRIEVAL: Vorhaben im Rahmen des Programms Validierung des Innovationspotenzials wissenschaftlicher Forschung - VIP : Schlussbericht

Berger, Arne, Eibl, Maximilian, Heinich, Stephan, Herms, Robert, Kahl, Stefan, Kürsten, Jens, Kurze, Albrecht, Manthey, Robert, Rickert, Markus, Ritter, Marc January 2015 (has links)
The project is completed! What now?

Legowski, Aris 20 April 2016 (has links) (PDF)
The Book of the Dead-Project Bonn started in the early 1990s. Prof Ursula Rößler-Köhler, who had previously laid the foundation for modern Book of the Dead studies by her work on BD chapter 17 applying the method of textual criticism, achieved a 10-year funding from the German Research Society (DFG). In 2004 the project was granted another 9-year funding by the Academy of Sciences and Arts of North Rhine-Westphalia. One aim of the project was to gather all available evidence of Book of the Dead manuscripts spread across collections around the world. Today, the archive comprises approximately 3000 records of BD sources. In 2012 the corresponding database, after undergoing a transfer from FileMaker to XML format in collaboration with the department of e-Humanities at the University of Cologne, was launched and made publicly available online. The data sets include various different kinds of information about the objects and the sets of BD spells and vignettes found on them. These are now easily accessible for statistic analyses such as evaluations of neighbouring spells and sequences or occurrences in specific locations or time periods. Furthermore, the database includes several metadata such as bibliographical information, translations of spells and a motif index. It is cross connected with other Egyptological databases such as Trismegistos and the Thesaurus Linguae Aegyptiae. After the project was completed at the end of 2012, the online database has been operating for a considerable amount of time with scholars using it and trying the several opportunities it provides. Now is the time for a first evaluation to actually see which functions of the database work well, which might have been ignored by users and what information the database could provide scholars with for their actual research. Naturally, there is a need for a continuous maintenance and update on new findings and the latest research. Furthermore it is important to understand which possibly missing functions or information the users wish to be included and if this is actually realisable. On the other hand, there might be opportunities for analyses that have not been fully understood and therefore have not been made use of. This presentation aims to address some of these issues concerning the BD online database and to gather ideas and possible collaborators for future BD project plans.
