En el presente trabajo, se ejecutó un plan de negocios de mascarillas faciales a base de arcillas cosméticas y agar agar, creado por cinco estudiantes de la facultad de Negocios de la Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC). El proyecto se desarrolló en base a la necesidad que tienen las mujeres en encontrar productos cosméticos con ingredientes naturales que no contengan productos químicos que puedan dañar su piel y que sean amigables con el medio ambiente. Al analizar el mercado de belleza, pudimos apreciar que el crecimiento de este sector es constante y la tendencia a consumir productos de belleza naturales está en proceso de crecimiento. Luego de evaluar las necesidades y requerimientos de nuestro público objetivo, desarrollamos las fórmulas de las tres versiones de mascarillas, usando insumos naturales que cumplen diferentes funciones como purificar, regenerar y limpiar profundamente la piel. El objetivo de este proyecto es poder comercializarlas. Al finalizar nuestro proyecto de ventas, se analizaron los diferentes planes presupuestales del área de RRHH, de operaciones, marketing y de Responsabilidad Social Corporativa, para tener una proyección, en términos monetarios, de lo que necesitamos para llevar a cabo nuestra idea de negocio. Con ello, seremos capaces de saber si es aceptable invertir en él o en todo caso, aprender y crear nuevas ideas de negocio. Los objetivos planteados en este proyecto han sido alcanzados a plenitud, como también los datos encontrados facilitaron el logro de estos. / In the present work, a business plan for facial masks based on clays and agar agar was executed, created by five students from the Business School of the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC). The project was developed based on the need for women to find cosmetic products with natural ingredients that do not contain chemicals that can damage their skin and that are friendly to the environment. When analysing the beauty market, we could see that the growth of this sector is constant and the trend to consume natural beauty products is growing. After evaluating the needs of our target audience, we developed the formulas for the three versions of masks, using natural inputs that fulfil different functions such as purifying, regenerating and deeply cleansing the skin. The objective of this project is to be able to commercialize them. At the end of our sales project, the different budget plans for the HR, operations, marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility areas will be analysed to have a projection of what we need to carry out our business idea. In addition, to better examine our model, the total project was evaluated to see if it would generate value and if it is profitable. With this, we will be able to know if it is acceptable to invest in it or in any case, learn and create new business ideas. Therefore, the objectives set out in this project have been fully achieved, as well as the data found facilitated their achievement. / Trabajo de investigación

El presente trabajo de investigación evalúa la implementación de un modelo de negocio basado en la producción y venta de mascarillas naturales compuesta de bentonita y arroz. El proyecto de negocio en cuestión tiene el nombre de Nature Scense, el cual está dedicado a satisfacer las necesidades más exigentes de las personas que cuidan su piel con productos totalmente naturales, libre de químicos y con la máxima eficiencia que se pueda tener. Con el fin de confirmar si el emprendimiento puede ser rentable a largo plazo, se llevaron a cabo experimentos para la validación del modelo de negocio; asimismo, se procedió a realizar entrevistas a clientes potenciales y personas expertas en el tema, pertenecientes a las ramas de dermatología y cosmetología. Por otro lado, se elaboraron diversos planes estratégicos como plan de operaciones, recursos humanos, marketing, responsabilidad social, financiero y de financiamiento, los cuales involucran a todas las áreas de la organización y se proyectaron acciones, estrategias, objetivos y metas a corto, mediano y largo plazo que aseguren el éxito del negocio a futuro. A continuación, se expondrá el análisis completo del siguiente trabajo de investigación que incluye el proceso de ideación, validación del modelo, desarrollo de plan de negocio, conclusiones, recomendaciones, bibliografía y anexos. / This research work evaluates the implementation of a business model based on the production and sale of natural masks composed of bentonite and rice. The business project in question is called Nature Scense, which is dedicated to satisfying the most demanding needs of people who take care of their skin with totally natural products, free of chemicals and with the maximum efficiency that can be had. In order to confirm whether the venture can be profitable in the long term, experiments were carried out to validate the business model; Likewise, we proceeded to conduct interviews with potential clients and experts on the subject, belonging to the branches of dermatology and cosmetology. On the other hand, various strategic plans were developed such as operations, human resources, marketing, social, financial and financing responsibility that involve all areas of the organization and actions, strategies, objectives and goals were projected in the short, medium and long term that ensure the success of the business in the future. This thesis deals with the influence of TV series and their strong heroines on female audience. The aim of this work is to find out whether selected female characters influence the general view of the femine beauty ideal, whether the viewers were in any way inspired by strong female characters and whether these series have opened up some social issues. These goals were formulated into three research questions, which will be answered in the conclusion. The work is divided into three main parts - theoretical, methodological and practical. The theoretical part aims to acquaint the reader with the theoretic basis needed to understand the researched issues. The methodological part presents research methods with all its advantages and disadvantages. The last practical part is focused on research and interpretation of the obtained data. A qualitative method is used to achieve the results, specifically the grounded theory, which is used for the analysis and subsequent interpretation of data obtained from interviews.

In this thesis I explore sunscreen use-practices, imaginaries, and material flows. I aim to understand how young people in the globally-immersed UK use sunscreens and how they makesense of them. Specifically, I follow Donna Haraway’s practice of implosion, employing theconcepts of care and toxicity to explore how sunscreens are employed to protect particularbodily ideals, aspects of embodied subjectivities and material-discursive boundaries. In following these various forms of protection, I ask what normative discourses, ecologies andbodies are, in turn, made vulnerable. The main corpus of my study comes from interviewconversations with eight people. Their stories highlight how sunscreens mediate understandings of skin, places, bodies, and social relations. I analyse sunscreen advertising from 1979to 2019 to investigate harmonies and conflicts between the cultural imaginaries curated bysunscreen companies and the stories which emerged from these interview conversations. Ialso put these materials into conversation with sunscreen discourses from the biological sciences, asking how these cultural works infuse sunscreen practices and material-semiotics.This thesis is an exploratory journey which encounters tanning, ageing, beauty, ‘race’,smells, places, intimacies, sun-burns, skin cancers, bodily boundaries, ‘Endocrine Disruptors’, toxic ecologies, and emplaced knowledges. It traverses disciplinary boundaries, following attitudes from the feminist and environmental post-humanities in bringing togetherapproaches, methods and theorising from many varied fields of scholarship usually locatedin the humanities, social sciences, and ‘natural’ sciences. As such, this thesis is a wide-ranging, thick description of how sunscreens are used in desires for protection and what is contingently and consequently made vulnerable.

A conversation between Art Nouveau and Digital design

The study contrasts the architecture of the Art Nouveau period  1880-1915 with contemporary curvilinear computational designs created 1980-2015. This is done by examining similarities and differences in design context, methods, philosophy and forms. The study includes an analysis of the curved lines used in Art Nouveau architecture as well as comparative study of  the two periods’ building compositions, façades and ornamentation. The thesis tries to answer the following questions: Is it possible to identify significant forms or geometric markers in  the Art Nouveau architecture of the period 1890 to 1920? How do such markers differ from post 1980 computational curvilinear architecture? Is it possible to reinterpret Art Nouveau architecture today in a relevant way? / Denna studien kontrasterar Art Nouveau/ Jugendstil perioden 1880-1920 med dagens datorstödda design diskurs med fokus på den böjda linjen. Studien undersöker skillnader och likheter i kontext, metod, filosofi och form mellan de båda perioderna. Studien inkluderar en analys av den kurvatur som används inom Art Nouveau / Jugendstil och undersöker vidare byggnadskomposition,  fasader och ornament i de båda tidsperioderna. This master thesis deals with feminist literary analysis of the works of writer Michal Viewegh, specifically his two prose novels Román pro ženy and Román pro muže using a method called resistant reading with a critical gender analysis and subsequent final comparison. This thesis consists of two parts, from the theoretical - methodological, which outlines the theoretical basis for the next analytical part. The key concepts are in the first part the researches of literary critics on Michal Viewegh, theories of Judith Fetterley, Elaine Showalter and Janice A. Radway. Furthermore, there are the theoretical basis of gender, and how gender stereotypes are constructed. This section is mainly based on the theorists Blanka Knotková - Čapková, Annis Pratt, Claire M. Renzetti and Daniel J. Curran and founder of analytical psychology Carl Gustav Jung. In describing femininity and masculinity are central lines theories of Naomi Wolf, Simone de Beauvoir and Pierre Bourdieu, Michael Kimmel and Robert Bly. The analytical part is the critical uncovering of gender stereotypes and power discourse. The conclusion is made by the final critical comparison of both novels. El presente trabajo de investigación tiene el fin de estudiar y analizar qué tan viable es nuestra aplicación, y qué tan satisfactorio puede ser para los usuarios. My Own Style nació a causa del aumento de los servicios online por parte de los consumidores; más aún por el COVID-19, en el cual las personas no podían asistir a los locales presenciales para recibir productos y/o servicios, y descubrieron nuevas aplicaciones recibiendo la misma calidad del servicio, o inclusive mejor. También se encuentran los trabajadores, emprendedores que les perjudicó la pandemia, como los del rubro de belleza: estilistas, peluquerías, los cuales se quedaron sin ventas, sin abrir su local en varios meses; es por eso que muchos de estos se innovaron y comenzaron a ofrecer sus servicios en línea. Descubrimos una gran oportunidad para unir a los estilistas con las personas que desean recibir un cambio de look; y con eso crear una aplicación que permita a los estilistas ofrecer sus servicios a domicilio y los clientes recibir este servicio. Además, que la comunicación esté presente en todo momento, y puedan elegir al estilista de su preferencia, recibir una grata experiencia desde la comodidad de su casa y reduciendo tiempos y el contagio por el COVID-19. Para llevar a cabo nuestro proyecto, hemos realizado distintos experimentos para validar el problema, modelo de negocio, solución y experiencia del usuario. There are also the workers, entrepreneurs who were harmed by the pandemic, such as those in the beauty sector: stylists, hairdressers, who were left without sales, without opening their premises in several months; that's why many of these innovated and started offering their services online. We discovered a great opportunity to unite stylists with people who want to receive a change of look; and with that create an application that allows stylists to offer their services at home and customers receive this service. In addition, that communication is present at all times, and they can choose the stylist of their choice, receive a pleasant experience from the comfort of their home and reducing times and contagion by COVID-19. To carry out our project, we have carried out different experiments to validate the problem, business model, solution and user experience. El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como finalidad el poder implementar una aplicación que pueda conectar a expertos en belleza; manicuristas, estilistas, maquilladores, masajistas, entre otros, con mujeres que constantemente contraten estos servicios de belleza a domicilio. De esta manera, los expertos en belleza podrán encontrar en la aplicación, una fuente de ingresos segura, que le ofrezca la oportunidad de poder tener mayor alcance en Lima Metropolitana y así incrementar sus ventas. Por otro lado, para poder sustentar el presente proyecto, se analizaron los segmentos a los cuales nos estamos enfocando, con la finalidad de validar el problema, validar la solución y su modelo de negocio respectivo. Por ende, posteriormente a haberlo estudiado a detalle, podremos determinar si la idea de negocio planteada será viable o no. Adicionalmente, respecto a lo mencionado anteriormente, el presente proyecto de investigación se encontrará disponible para todos aquellos lectores e investigadores que deseen utilizarlo como ejemplo y guía.
