A partir do ponto de vista de alguns teóricos do gênero epistolar, como Jelena Jovicic, Marie-Claire Grassi, Brigitte Diaz, Geneviève Haroche-Bouzinac e Vincent Kaufmann, analisa-se, em algumas cartas endereçadas a uma variedade de destinatários – como familiares e amigos, em sua maioria do universo literário – , de que maneira a experiência pessoal e a experiência literária, nas cartas do escritor gaúcho, realizam-se concomitantemente. A fim de se demonstrar de que forma a correspondência do autor constitui uma faceta de sua produção literária, investiga-se, primeiramente, a construção da identidade de escritor a partir do discurso epistolar, considerado não como locus da verdade, mas como um texto ficcional, no qual o epistológrafo lança mão de estratégias capazes de criar uma “verdade simulada”, conferindo maior verossimilhança a seu discurso. Na sequência, com o respaldo das teorias de Mikhail Bakhtin e José Luiz Fiorin, são analisadas as diferentes personae que o escritor constrói a partir das cartas – do filho, do amigo, do escritor, do amante – , determinadas sobretudo pelo destinatário, que faz com que o epistológrafo apresente variações temáticas e formais, assumindo, assim, diferentes máscaras sociais. Após a análise da constituição da identidade do escritor e de seus diferentes éthe discursivos, analisa-se, com base nas ideias de Vincent Kaufmann, de que maneira as correspondências situam-se num terreno fronteiriço, entre o homem e a obra, priorizando, em vez da comunicação, o afastamento, graças ao qual a obra pode acontecer. Empreende-se, na sequência, uma análise voltada para o conteúdo do discurso das cartas, com o objetivo de demonstrar como o texto epistolar possui grande valor na criação dos parâmetros de uma identidade artística, no acompanhamento de uma obra em suas várias etapas, da ideia à recepção pelo público, na constituição de uma rede epistolar que envolve diferentes figuras do universo literário, de escritores a editores, e no exercício de uma crítica literária, paralela à crítica institucionalizada, como ressalta T. S. Eliot em seus ensaios. Em seguida, tendo como ponto de partida a concepção formalista de literatura, com base sobretudo nas ideias de Roland Barthes e de Roman Jakobson, investiga-se, de um lado, de que forma, em suas cartas, o autor distancia-se do discurso corrente, por meio de operações linguísticas, sintáticas e estilísticas, e, de outro, de que maneira incorpora traços de outros gêneros, como a resenha crítica, a crônica e o monólogo. Por fim, demonstra-se como, articulando elementos aparentemente opostos – da conversação cotidiana e da linguagem literária – , o autor cria uma poética do prosaico epistolar. A partir desses aspectos, este trabalho distancia-se da abordagem desenvolvida com base nos textos epistolares do autor até o momento – centrada, sobretudo, em seu valor histórico, biográfico ou paratextual – e, tratando as cartas com autonomia, demonstra o valor literário, tanto em termos conteudísticos quanto formais, desses documentos tão heterogêneos. / This paper presents an analysis of Caio Fernando Abreu’s correspondence through the literary bias, based on a set of 77 missives gathered in the collection entitled Cartas (Letters), organized by Italo Moriconi in 2002. From the point of view of some theorists of the epistolary genre, such as Jelena Jovicic, Marie-Claire Grassi, Brigitte Diaz, Geneviève Haroche-Bouzinac and Vincent Kaufmann, one analyzes, in some letters addressed to a variety of recipients - such as family and friends, mostly from the literary universe – how both personal and literary experiences, in the letters of the Brazilian writer, take place concomitantly. In order to demonstrate how the correspondence of the author constitutes a facet of his literary production, one first investigates the construction of the writer’s identity from the epistolary discourse, considered not as locus of Truth, but as a fictional text, in which the epistolography writer uses strategies capable of creating a "simulated truth", providing a greater likelihood to his discourse. Next, with the support of the theories of Mikhail Bakhtin and José Luiz Fiorin, the different personae that the writer constructs from the letters are analyzed – the one of the son, the friend, the writer, the lover –, determined mainly by the recipient, who makes the epistolography writer present thematic and formal variations, thus assuming different social masks. After analyzing the constitution of the writer's identity and his different discoursive éthe, one analyzes, based on Vincent Kaufmann's ideas, how the correspondences are located on a frontier ground between the man and the work, prioritizing, instead of communication, distance, thanks to which the work can happen. An analysis of the content in the discourse of the letters is then carried out, with the purpose of demonstrating how the epistolary text has great value in the creation of the parameters of an artistic identity, in the following of a work in its various stages, from the idea to the reception by the public, in the constitution of an epistolary network that involves different figures from the literary universe, from writers to editors, and in the exercise of a literary criticism, parallel to institutionalized criticism, as T.S. Eliot emphasizes in his essays. Then, starting with the formalist conception of literature, based mainly on the ideas of Roland Barthes and Roman Jakobson, one investigates, on the one hand, how, in his letters, the author distances himself from the current discourse, through linguistic, syntactic and stylistic operations, and, on the other hand, how he incorporates traits of other genres, such as critical reviews, chronicles and monologues. Finally, it is shown how, by articulating apparently opposing elements – of everyday conversation and literary language – the author creates a poetics of the epistolary prosaicness. Based on these aspects, this work distances itself from the approach developed from the author’s epistolary texts up to the present – which focuses, above all, on its historical, biographical or paratextual value –, and by treating the letters with autonomy, demonstrates the literary value, both in terms of content and form, of such heterogeneous documents.

A presente tese dedicou-se à reunião e ao estudo da correspondência trocada entre o escritor paulista Mário de Andrade (1893-1945) e os rapazes ligados à revista Verde (1927-1929) de Cataguases (MG), a saber: Ascânio Lopes (1906-1929), Camilo Soares (1909-1982), Enrique de Resende (1899-1973), Francisco Inácio Peixoto (1909-1986), Guilhermino Cesar (1908- 1993) e Rosário Fusco (1910-1977). A pesquisa coligiu documentação epistolar inédita dos envolvidos, matéria esparsa em arquivos públicos e privados, tendo em vista a proposta de reconstituição da trama da sociabilidade intelectual e literária na década de 1920. Cumpriramse a transcrição fidedigna, a ordenação cronológica e a anotação exaustiva das cartas, em termos editoriais, segundo pressupostos da crítica textual e dos estudos da epistolografia, resultando em uma seleta que soma 122 cartas e compõe a primeira parte desta tese. Considerando-se o ineditismo das cartas reunidas, vislumbrou-se a possibilidade de uma nova perspectiva de estudo sobre os verdes. Portanto, o trabalho que acompanha o conjunto de cartas está dividido em três tópicos: (a) apresenta os sete correspondentes; (b) investiga em que medida essa documentação auxilia na reconstrução da trajetória do Grupo Verde; e (c) aborda, criticamente, as cartas elementos que propiciam reavaliar a organização dos rapazes como agrupamento de vanguarda, que favoreceram a observação do relacionamento epistolar deles com Mário de Andrade e que ajudaram a avaliar a participação desses escritores no Movimento Modernista brasileiro. / This thesis aimed to collect and study the correspondence between the writer Mário de Andrade (1893-1945) and Ascânio Lopes (1906-1929), Camilo Soares (1909-1982), Enrique de Resende (1899-1973), Francisco Inácio Peixoto (1909-1986), Guilhermino Cesar (1908- 1993) and Rosário Fusco (1910-1977), the writers related to Verde (Green), modernist magazine that was edited by Grupo Verde de Cataguases (Green Group from Cataguases), between 1927 and 1929. In order to restore the peculiarities of the literary and intellectual sociability in the 1920s, this research compiled unpublished epistolary documents and material dispersed in public and private archives. Guided by epistolary study and textual criticism principles, it has been done a trustworthy transcription, a chronological ordering and an exhaustive annotation of the letters. These procedures resulted in a selection of 122 letters that compose the first section of this thesis. Considering the uniqueness of the selected letters, it was able to glimpse the possibility of a new perspective regarding the study of the Grupo Verde de Cataguases. Therefore, the academic work which follows the correspondence was divided into three topics: (a) the introduction of the seven correspondents; (b) the analyse of the extension to which these documents will facilitate the reconstruction of Grupo Verdes trajectory; and (c) the discussion of the letters contents through a critical approach considering the selected letters as elements that allow the reassessment of these writers organization as an avant-garde group, which favor the observation of their epistolary relationships with Mário de Andrade and that help to clarify the Grupo Verde participation in the Brazilian Modernist Movement.

Durante as décadas de 30 e 40, o escritor Monteiro Lobato reuniu e preservou inúmeras cartas enviadas a ele por crianças leitoras, nelas estão registradas muitas opiniões sobre sua obra além de considerações sobre a vida das próprias crianças e como elas viam o mundo a seu redor. A presente pesquisa pretende analisar através dessa fonte documental qual era a recepção da obra infantil de Lobato, naquele período. Abordaremos ainda a circulação dos livros de Lobato assim como as maneiras de leitura praticadas na infância. Como forma de ampliarmos a percepção sobre a recepção da leitura ficcional no período, utilizamos também uma outra rica fonte documental: O jornal produzido pelas crianças freqüentadoras da Biblioteca Infantil Municipal, em São Paulo. Esse jornal intitulado A Voz da Infância veiculava resenhas e comentários de livros escritos pelas crianças, possibilitando assim uma compreensão mais abrangente da recepção da literatura infanto-juvenil, pois mencionava os autores mais lidos no período. / The writer Monteiro Lobato, during the 30s and 40s, reunited and preserved a number of letters sent to him by children who read his books. Those letters had registered many opinions about his work, beyond statements about those kids way of life and their environment. Analyzing this corpus this research wants to show how children realize Lobatos children books, in those days, besides this books circulation and the reading manners in childhood. To enlarge the perception of the literary reading reception in that period, we can use another documental source: a newspaper, named: A Voz da Infância, produced by frequently users, children who went to Biblioteca Infantil Municipal in São Paulo, Brazil. In this newspaper children wrote minutes descriptions and comments about books mentioning authors who had more books reads in the period, making possible a large perception about children literary reading reception.

Apresentar três lotes de correspondência inédita de João Guimarães Rosa, para responder ao problema de como os seus livros se recriaram em novos ambientes culturais, é trabalho que exige estabelecer o texto das cartas, redigir notas descritivas/ analíticas e notas explicativas. A recriação resulta da ação concertada de autor, editor e tradutor. A edição dos livros se mostra um negócio ou empreendimento de tipo especial, seja em razão da rede de relações pessoais e profissionais que envolve, ou do movimento de idéias, que simultaneamente capta e produz. Editar é operação que se dá no terreno das mediações entre dois planos, um que é do simbólico, outro da fabricação ou reprodução técnica. No trio de agentes, cada um de seu lugar e a seu modo busca o objeto livro que propicie a permanência da obra literária. Os lotes de correspondência, do arquivo que pertenceu ao escritor, agora ditos sub-séries, são: 1. com o editor francês Pierre Seghers (26/06/1957 a 10/10/1962), CE 1 a 15 (cx. 01), 17 documentos; 2. com o editor português António de Souza-Pinto (01/11/1960 a 27/01/1967), CE 16 a 64 (cx. 01), 56 documentos; 3. com o tradutor francês Jean-Jacques Villard (07/07/1961 a 25/04/1967), CT 1 a 47 (cx. 9), 48 documentos. Na cena das cartas aos três destinatários vê-se um autor que, além de cuidar da forma de publicação de seus textos literários no exterior, estende sua atenção ao paratexto, interno e externo ao volume. Entre essas atenções dispensadas por via epistolar despontam diferentes personas de João Guimarães Rosa. / Presenting three batches of unpublished correspondence of João Guimarães Rosa in order to answer how his books were recreated in new cultural environments, is a task that demmands establishing the text of the letters and composing descriptive/analytical notes and explanatory notes. The recreation of the books results from the orchestrated action of author, publisher and translator. Publishing books reveals itself as a special kind of business or enterprise, either because of the personal and professional network involved or because of the movement of ideas simultaneously captured and generated. Publishing takes place in the grounds of mediation between two spaces, one symbolic and the other of manufacturing or technical reproduction. In the triad of agents -- author, publisher and translator -- each one of them in its way and from its place seeks the book that will engender permanence of the literary work. The batches of correspondence, from the file which belonged to the writer , now designated sub-series, are: 1. letters to the French publisher Pierre Seghers (06/26/1957 - 10/10/1962), CE 1 - 15 (box 01), 17 documents; 2. letters to the Portuguese publisher António de Souza-Pinto (11/01/1960 - 01/271967), CE 16 - 64 (box 01), 56 documents; 3. letters to the French translator Jean-Jacques Villard (07/07/1961 - 04/25/1967), CT 1 - 47 (box 9), 48 documents. In the letters sent to the three addressees, we see an author who, in addition to taking care of the form of publishing his literary texts abroad, extends his attention to the paratext located inside and outside the volume. Amid this care, dispensed through epistles, different personas of João Guimarães Rosa arise.

[pt] Esta dissertação tem o objetivo de fazer uma leitura do Modernismo Brasileiro através da correspondência recíproca de Mário de Andrade e Manuel Bandeira. Busca compreender a construção do movimento sob o olhar atento desses dois poetasmissivistas e perceber como esse intercâmbio epistolar proporcionou a formulação de teorias e conceitos hoje considerados canônicos, mas que na época suscitaram polêmicas e rupturas recebendo, por esta razão, a alcunha de vanguardistas ou futuristas. / [en] This dissertation aims to do a reading about the Brazilian Modernism through teh reciprocal correspondence exchanged by Mário de Andrade and Manuel Bandeira. It searches to understand the construction of this literary movement under the attentive looking done by these poets and messengers, as well as to perceive how this epistolary interchange proportioned some theories and concepts that are considered canonic nowadays, but formerly suscitated polemics and ruptures among the artists.

Essa tese propõe-se a investigar a relação de Cláudio Santoro com o meio musical durante toda sua trajetória como compositor, utilizando como fontes, na primeira parte do trabalho, as cartas trocadas com o musicólogo Francisco Curt Lange, com o pianista Heitor Alimonda e uma entrevista com a pianista Jocy de Oliveira sobre as cartas e sua experiência junto ao compositor. O discurso desses interlocutores expressa a troca do compositor com o meio, indicando que o percurso composicional de Santoro está relacionado aos diálogos com seu tempo e com obras musicais de sua contemporaneidade. Desse contato apreende-se as principais correntes estéticas e estilos composicionais a que a obra de Santoro esteve ligada. Na segunda parte da tese foram apresentados alguns reflexos desses diálogos em obras do repertório pianístico de Santoro através da análise musical. / This dissertation investigates the relationship between Cláudio Santoro and the musical environment along his trajectory as composer. The first part of the work examines the correspondence exchanged with musicologist Francisco Curt Lange and pianist Heitor Alimonda, and an interview with pianist Jocy de Oliveira about these letters and her interaction with the composer. These discourses express the composer\'s interchange with the music milieu, showing that Santoro\'s compositional style is related to dialogues with his time and musical works of his contemporaneous. From that contact one can distinguish the main aesthetic tendencies and compositional styles related to the work of Cláudio Santoro. The second part of this dissertation investigates, through musical analysis, the influence of these dialogues on some piano works of Cláudio Santoro.

Esta dissertação apresenta a edição de texto fidedigna e anotada da correspondência do polígrafo Mário de Andrade (1893-1945) com intelectuais, escritores e instituições culturais do Uruguai, Peru, Chile e Colômbia. O conjunto, reunindo 26 interlocutores, congrega 171 documentos, conservados na Série Correspondência do Fundo Mário de Andrade, do Instituto de Estudos Brasileiros da Universidade de São Paulo (IEB-USP) e no Acervo Curt Lange, na Biblioteca Central da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). O estudo e a anotação da correspondência tiveram como objetivo evidenciar as redes de sociabilidade estabelecidas por Mário de Andrade, fornecendo, assim, aos pesquisadores informações acerca das dinâmicas de criação, publicação e circulação de obras no âmbito sul-americano. A edição pretende complementar o escopo da pesquisa de Patrícia Artundo, concretizada na Correspondência Mário de Andrade & Escritores/ Artistas Argentinos (Edusp/IEB, 2013). / This dissertation presents the reliable and annotated edition of the correspondence of the polygraph Mário de Andrade (1893-1945) with intellectuals, writers and cultural institutions from Uruguay, Peru, Chile and Colombia. The gathered data, bringing together 26 interlocutors, congregates 171 documents, conserved in the Serie Correspondence of Mário de Andrade\'s Fond, at the Institute of Brazilian Studies of University of São Paulo (IEB-USP) and in Curt Lange\'s Fond, at the Central Library of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). The correspondence\'s study and annotation had as objective to evidence the sociability network established by Mário de Andrade, providing, thus, to the researchers information about dynamics of creation, publication and circulation of works in South American circuit. The edition aims to complement the scope of Patrícia Artundo\'s research, accomplished in Correspondência Mário de Andrade & Escritores / Artistas Argentinos (Edusp/IEB, 2013).

In Czech historiography Queen Kunhuta has been quite neglected. Her figure has not been investigated in monographs or specific studies. She can be somehow included within the group of defamed queens, which is especially rich in the Middle Ages. This negative image of the queen finds its origin in medieval chronicles, which blamed Kunhuta for her love affair with Záviš of Falkenštejn, who was accused of being one of the promoters of the defeat of Otakar II. Kunhuta's negative portrayal has been very stable and despite its rehabilitation in the most recent studies, it probably influenced scholars' disinterest in the part she performed as a political agent. The documentary material preserved shows that her active role in Bohemian society of the thirteenth century deserves more attention. She was involved in various administrative and political tasks. The first chapter of the thesis should provide an approach to the study of the queen, which mediates between a partial point of view and Kunhuta's multi-faceted image. It should introduce a figure to whom is linked a letter collection, which represents the main theme of the present dissertation (i.e. the letter collection of master Bohuslav, probably a chaplain and notary of the queen).
