Možnosti a meze využití metody mystery shoppingu při měření kvality veřejných služeb / The possibilities and limits of using the method of mystery shopping in the measurement of the public services quality

Hankovský, Jakub January 2016 (has links)
Thesis on the topic of the possibilities and limits of using the method of mystery shopping in the measurement of the public services quality is intended to introduce the method of mystery shopping and to evaluate the possibility of its use in the public services quality measurement through its application. Quality is a broad term which is associated with many definitions. Public services have many specifics compared to the private ones, dominated by the lack of profit and focus on meeting the public interest. Even the definition of quality and performance standards in the public sector differs from those in the private sector. Mystery shopping, which is heavily used in measuring the level of service quality in the private sector occurs rarely in the common practice of public services. The public sector is declaratively for several decades focused on the quality of its services. We can identify a clear commitment to achieving quality perceived from the perspective of actual customer which is represented by the approach of good governance, promoted by the UN, to the National Quality Policy and Strategy of national policy to quality strategy Smart administration. Strategy and objectives are accompanied by a number of methods to standardize, manage and measure the quality of public services, which are...

Mystery writers in foreign settings: The literary devices and methods used to portray foreign geographies

Engar, Amy Kimball 14 March 2005 (has links) (PDF)
A sense of place is important to the construction, believability and success of regional mystery novels. Authentic representation of place is challenging if an author is not originally from the area being portrayed. Despite this, some authors are able to depict foreign places more comprehensively and realistically than others. Professor Gary Hausladen of the University of Nevada, Reno identifies: narrative description, dialogue, iconography, and attention to detail as the basic literary devices that convey sense of place. This thesis questions the manner in which successful mystery novelists writing about foreign places meet Hausladen's model. Specifically, do they use all four of the literary devices, which are most commonly used, which are consciously used, and what research methods and resources do they use to incorporate the literary devices. Primary and secondary data are collected through interviews and literary analyses. It is found that these authors use all four of the prescribed literary devices, that some of the literary devices are more challenging to use than others, that place establishing literary techniques are important to the authors and that the authors seek to incorporate sense of place through diverse types of intensive research.

[en] FOR A BRIDAL THEOLOGY OF MERCY: THE MYSTERY OF MERCY FROM APONIUS COMMENTARY TO THE SONG OF SONGS / [pt] POR UMA TEOLOGIA NUPCIAL DA MISERICÓRDIA: O MISTÉRIO DA MISERICÓRDIA A PARTIR DO COMENTÁRIO DE APÔNIO AO CÂNTICO DOS CÂNTICOS

FABIO MAGNO DE CASTRO ARAUJO 22 February 2021 (has links)
[en] A close look at the whole history of salvation reveals that mercy is precisely the common thread of salvation, because it is the main divine attribute. Therefore, it is a central theme for the Christian faith. From the theological point of view, its right understanding has an enormous relevance for the pastoral and spiritual life of the missionary disciples of Jesus Christ. Our focus on this theme is based on the Aponius work, which presents a peculiarity in relation to other comments about the biblical book of the Song of Songs. In fact, more than emphasizing the spousal covenant between God and humanity, in the web of love between the spouses of the biblical poem, Aponius sees a prefiguration of the history of salvation. As a very unknown author, our first part of the research focuses mainly on the Aponius person and his work. Similarly, we also focus on the influence that his Commentary had on some later authors. Then, we turn to the hermeneutics of the Song of Songs, considering the way in which this biblical book was interpreted both by Jewish tradition and by the Fathers of the Church. The purpose of this part is to reveal the characteristics of Aponius exegesis, in which our author inserts his doctrinal and spiritual expositions. Finally, our thesis focuses on the chosen theme, starting from the Trinity as a source of mercy and emphasizing the action of the merciful Christ-Spouse, who, in the Pascal mystery, marries the Church forever, making it a sacrament of mercy. As a member of the Bride Church, each Christian is called to experience this nuptial mystery in himself and to be a witness of divine mercy.

What We Hide

Bowcott, Ashley 01 January 2015 (has links)
What We Hide is a collection of memoir essays that explores the themes of mystery and deception in personal relationships, specifically within familial and romantic ones. Though the essays in the collection explore the decades from early in the narrator's childhood through her move to Florida for graduate school, the narrator's keen discernment of the world around her and her curiosity for what experiences shape a person's character remain constant. Many essays explore the extent of her father's alcoholism and the consequences of it, as well as the narrator's obsession over the possible sources of his addictions. Other essays examine the narrator's relationships with men beginning when she enters high school and question the extent to which her strained relationship with her father both excuses and/or explains the way she deceives and allows herself to be deceived in these relationships. What We Hide is endlessly implicating and looks for the accountability of these situations from all sources. The narrator delves into the sneakiness of her parents' courtship, the accusations that become commonplace during their divorce, the ways in which the narrator lies to family, friends, and boyfriends for her own selfish motives, and how each of these experiences shapes subsequent ones. What We Hide uses personal experience, emails, and newspaper articles to demonstrate the vulnerability, contradictions, and complications that are inherent in all of us as humans and how these weaknesses manifest themselves in the relationships with those we are closest with.

The Player’s Agency In Mystery Storytelling

Berglund, Jonas, Nilsson, Emil January 2023 (has links)
Many games today lack the player’s agency in storytelling. This can be a sign of bad game design or just that the developers don’t want the player to miss any piece of the story, leading to the unfolding of narrative not being in the hands of the player. In the process the player’s agency is lost through cutscenes that force the player to see the story unfold in front of them instead of being actively involved. This article discusses how mystery storytelling techniques can give the player more agency in the unfolding narrative. This places a lot more responsibility on the player to understand and connect narrative information and in turn converts the player into an important part of the unfolding of the story. / Många spel idag saknar spelarens agens inom storytelling.

[pt] A MÍSTICA LITÚRGICA CRISTÃ: A MISTAGOGIA HOJE À LUZ DA CONSTITUIÇÃO SACROSANCTUM CONCILIUM / [en] THE CHRISTIAN LITURGICAL MYSTICISM: THE CURRENTE MYSTAGOGY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE THEOLOGY OF MYSTERY PRESENT IN THE CONSTITUTION SACROSANCTUM CONCILIUM

VITOR GINO FINELON 12 June 2020 (has links)
[en] Liturgical theology has been interested in bringing together the concepts of mystery, mystagogy and mysticism. Our research wants to contribute to advance current debates. Therefore, we researched the notion of mystery according to the theology developed in the second, fifth and sixth articles of the Constitution on the sacred liturgy of the Second Vatican Council. Conciliar theology understands mystery as the salvation of the Father, accomplished by the Son, communicated by the Holy Spirit, through the church in its double mission: proclamation and celebration. Then we present the work of retrieving and updating the mystagogical experience over the last few years. The current mystagogy is approached in catechetical (mystagogical catechesis and christian initiation), liturgical (liturgical theology) and spiritual (liturgical mystic) view. Finally, we relate the understanding of the phenomenon of Christian mysticism in line with the theological-pastoral notions of the concept of mystery and mystagogy. Christian liturgical mysticism is one in which the initiates experience in their lives the communicative-therapeutic force of Christ s paschal mystery. The conclusion is that the mystery-mystagogymystical trinomial, because they are inseparable, needs to penetrate and be consolidated in ecclesial theology and praxis.

[pt] TEOLOGIA DO RITO: A AÇÃO RITUAL COMO LUGAR DA EPIFANIA DO MISTÉRIO DE CRISTO / [en] THEOLOGY OF THE RITE: THE RITUAL ACTION AS PLACE OF EPIPHANY OF THE MYSTERY OF CHRIST

GUILHERME DA COSTA VILELA GOUVEA 27 January 2020 (has links)
[en] The rite has its preponderant place in the liturgy of the Church. It belongs to the world of active mediations of religious attitude, ranging from the simplest gesture to the most elaborate celebration. Rites are therefore all actions oriented to religious expression, and in its genesis is the sacred, the divine, that which is pointed out as a mystery. The irruption of God in history through the incarnation and redemptive action of his Son, Jesus Christ, will enable the Christian liturgical rite to be a differentiating element of every other ritual form, that of always making reference to a full reality, that is in level of event which has already been effected, and he is aptly the image of that event, in the very likeness that binds it, brings the sign of the reality to which it refers. From the liturgical theology of the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy Sacrosanctum Concilium, we try to understand how the liturgical rite, in its prime function of announcing and realizing, becomes the epiphany of the Paschal Mystery of Christ. In him, the mystery of Christ manifests itself in a clear and luminous way, giving the Church a profound experience.

Cognitive rationality and indeterminism in the contemporary detective novel, with special reference to the work of Umberto Eco, Carlo Emilio Gadda and Stanislaw Lem

Van der Linde, G. P. L. (Gerhardus Philippus Leonardus) 06 1900 (has links)
The study examines cognitive rationality as to()l for problemsolving within the context of a movement from determinism and monolithic universal Reason towards indeterminism and plurality. It is contended that theories of literature do not provide an adequate conceptual framework, and therefore, extensive use is made of pluralist fallibilism (Popper, Helmut Spinner) and chaos theory. The philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche is viewed as a decisive influence in the shift towards plurality and scepticism. In chapter 2, Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories, a novel by Agatha Christie and Gaston Leroux's Le mystere de Ia chambre jaune are discussed as examples of optimistic rationalism. Chapter 3 indicates that Eco's II nome della rosa emphasizes the conjectural nature of truth and objective knowledge, underpinned by a 'soft' rationalism which amounts to monopolistic pluralism. Chapter 4 analyses the defeat of cognitive rationality by the complex interaction of a multiplicity of independent causal series. The detectives' relationship with the feminine exemplifies the interpenetration of rationality and the instinctual, while the mystery of the feminine is a metaphor for impenetrable complexity. Chapter 5 shows that hypotheses concerning random complex systems remain inconclusive. However, as the trajectory of a complex system can be regulated, so reason can be viewed as the underlying regulative pattern (strange attractorl for an infinite proliferation of hypotheses. Thus, despite .shifting conceptions of rationality and order, all the detectives in the study accept objective truth as regulative principle and are involved in a search for objective knowledge / Afrikaans & Theory of Literature / D.Litt. et Phil.
