Análisis y Efectos de la Aplicación de Oracle Financial en Minera Las Cenizas

Calaf González, Francisco January 2007 (has links)

The Demography of Employment in a Swedish County Council: Estimation and Mapping of Manpower Statistics in Östergötland

Papandreou, Andreas-Nikolaos January 2006 (has links)
The changing requirements in the modern labour market have led to a new form of economic geography of employment, where skills, wages and the uncertainty of employment play a primary role in the spatial division of labour. The main purpose of this project is to investigate the use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) as a tool to illustrate employment and unemployment in Östergötland County for giving information on the development of the labour market. In addition, the use of GIS for population data analysis with the help of Oracle’s map viewer is closely examined. This descriptive thesis reveals that the labour market is characterized by the geographic extension of the market and its determination by how far the supply and demand forces go and the important role that GIS plays in illustrating the distribution of workforce in Östergötland’s labour market. GIS is an analytical tool for employer/employee demographics that can be used for visualization but also for analysis and pre-processing purposes with the use of graphic tools. With the use of thematic maps, GIS can visualise spatial data with labour data according to certain demographic criteria. GIS technology has ways of mapping thematically the local labour market demand and supply. In addition, it is capable of constructing a comprehensive workforce development system that can integrate the job seekers and employers. GIS can facilitate the development of visual web-based mapping systems that allow users to investigate and find employees within various industries.

On test oracles for Simulink-like models / Oráculos de teste para modelos Simulink-like

Paulo Augusto Nardi 12 December 2013 (has links)
Embedded systems are present in many fields of application where failure may be critical. Such systems often possess characteristics that hampers the testing activity, as large amount of produced data and temporal requirements which must be specified and evaluated. There are tools that support the development of models for analysis and simulation still in the design stage. After being evaluated, a model may be used as basis to the implementation. In this case, it is important to ensure that the model is consistent with the specification. Otherwise, a divergence will be propagated to the final code. Therefore, the model must be tested prior to the codification. Simulink is a standard development and simulation tool for models of embedded systems. Its wide application in the industry has promoted the creation of free-software alternatives, as XCos. In the literature, there are researches which seek to improve the testing activity for Simulink-like models. The proposed solutions usually focus on test case selection strategies. However, little efforts have been directed to the oracle problem, that is, the difficulty in evaluating if an execution agrees with the specification. The objective of this doctorate proposal is to provide an oracle generation approach for Simulink-like models which addresses the characteristics previously summarized. Specifically, it is proposed a process, methods, procedures and a tool that enable the partially-automated generation of oracles for such models. As a main contribution, it is expected an improvement in the evaluation process of embedded systems in terms of quality, cost and time / Sistemas embarcados estão presentes em diversas áreas de aplicação em que falhas podem ser críticas.

Evaluation of development platforms : building financial online applications

Svensson, Daniel January 2011 (has links)
CRM Treasury Systems AB is one of the Nordic Countries’ leading companies within treasury management. Their main product CRM Finance is a software program for financial administrators with roots back to the early 90s. Computer usage and software has changed considerably since then and the company is currently considering choosing a new technology to base future products upon. In this thesis Oracle ADF, Microsoft Lightswitch beta 1 and Silverlight with WCF RIA Services, are compared in order to select a suitable technology to base future applications on. The frameworks are used to implement a simple application with a small number of screens displaying database data in order to get to know the frameworks and capture the time required to get started. After the basic applications have been implemented in all the three frameworks and evaluated it is decided to continue by implementing a number of more advanced authorization and internationalization scenarios. It is decided to continue with only two of the selected frameworks due to lack of time once the simple application has been implemented successfully. Lightswitch beta 1 is chosen for discontinuation due to an uncertain future for the application as it is the first public available beta of the product. Based on the experience from the implementations performed, the time required for them as well as how the platforms fit the company’s requirements the .NET platform with Silverlight + WCF RIA Services is recommended as the base for future applications.

On adaptive estimation of a multivariate density under independence hypothesis.

Rebelles, Gilles 10 December 2015 (has links)
The results obtained in this thesis concern the non parametric estimation of probability densities. Primarily, we are interested in estimating a multivariate probability density which is anisotropic and inhomogeneous. We propose estimation procedures that enable us to take into account the regularity properties of the underlying probability density and its independence structure simultaneously. This allows us to reduce the influence of the dimension of the observation space on the accuracy of estimation and then to improve it. To analyze the performance of our methods we adopt the minimax point of view and we generalize a criterion of optimality for adaptive estimation. The use of the criterion we propose is necessary for estimation at a fixed point. Indeed, in this setting, there is a "penalty" for adaptation with respect to the regularity and to the independence structure. This is no longer true for global estimation. In the density model (with direct observations) we consider both the problem of pointwise estimation and the problem of estimation under $bL_p$-loss ($pin[1,infty)$). In the deconvolution model (with noisy observations) we study the problem of estimation with an $bL_p$-risk ($pin[1,infty]$) when the characteristic function of the noise decreases polynomially at infinity. Any estimator that we propose is obtained by a random selection procedure in a family of kernel estimators.
