Stegreifentwürfe: Entwurfsreihe in psychiatrischen Einrichtungen08 August 2024 (has links)

Previous issue date: 2015-10-26 / This study aimed to analyze how a narrative can be built from the interaction between two languages: verbal and visual. The work Psiquê (2010) Angela Lake, was the object studied throughout this research. The author, rescuing the classical greek myth of Eros and Psyche, recounts the story of lovers with innovative features and instigators of the imagination. The author Teresa Colomer (2003), in The formation of the literary reader: children's storytelling and current youth has allowed us to understand a little more about the Lake trajectory within the historical context of children and youth literature in Brazil. The words deserve a single chapter, where you can discuss the importance of hybrid genre and its ability to unite prose and poetry without losing the quality of text, so we were guided by studies of Octavio Paz (2012), in The Bow and the lira. The author discusses the importance of word and its plural ability to be more than mere linguistic signs. The illustrations have preserved the poetic, as raised the multiplicity of meanings in this way were studied, first, alone. The light theories Sophie Van der Linden (2011) in Order to read the picture book could analyze the images so that each of them could exhibit its potency. But as word and image can not be dissociated from this context, we developed a final chapter to show the union between the two media. We note from the reflections of Mircea Eliade (2012), in Myth and reality that Psiquê extinguishes the boundaries of literary genres, recovering and returning the poetic origins / O presente trabalho procurou analisar como uma narrativa pode ser construída a partir da
As palavras
O autor discute a

Previous issue date: 2010-02-10 / Pontif?cia Universidade Cat?lica de Campinas / This theoretical research aims to understand the process of psychosomatic integration considering the notions of soma, psyche and mind in the framework of psychoanalytic theory proposed by Donald W. Winnicott, adopting the understanding of his theory of personal maturation as interpreted by Elsa Dias and Zeljko Loparic. It aims to show that the author makes conceptual issues in psychoanalysis that modify the general approach of reflection on the psychoaffective organization of the human being, conceived by him as the object of his psychoanalysis. Instead of keeping the opposition body-mind, Winnicott suggests that the psycho-affective organization is given based on other poles, opposing the psyche and the soma and considering the mind a different aspect of the functioning of psyche. The explanation of these terms-concepts, as well as what he characterized as imaginative elaboration of bodily functions, in conjunction with the description that he makes of one of the initial task of maturation, the housing of the psyche in the body, provide useful information to understand the Winnicottian proposition whereby existence is essentially psychosomatic. Moreover, one can cite, as a matter of illustration, some psychosomatic disorders (especially anorexia and bulimia), which clarifies the way Winnicott considers this type of clinical problem. Roughly speaking, it aims to show that the cited author considers disorders involving the body as attempts to achieve a psychosomatic integration that was not satisfactory achieved in the process of emotional maturation.

Differential Equation Models for Understanding Phenomena beyond Experimental CapabilitiesJanuary 2019 (has links)
abstract: Mathematical models are important tools for addressing problems that exceed experimental capabilities. In this work, I present ordinary and partial differential equation (ODE, PDE) models for two problems: Vicodin abuse and impact cratering.
The prescription opioid Vicodin is the nation's most widely prescribed pain reliever. The majority of Vicodin abusers are first introduced via prescription, distinguishing it from other drugs in which the most common path to abuse begins with experimentation. I develop and analyze two mathematical models of Vicodin use and abuse, considering only those patients with an initial Vicodin prescription. Through adjoint sensitivity analysis, I show that focusing efforts on prevention rather than treatment has greater success at reducing the total population of abusers. I prove that solutions to each model exist, are unique, and are non-negative. I also derive conditions for which these solutions are asymptotically stable.
Verification and Validation (V&V) are necessary processes to ensure accuracy of computational methods. Simulations are essential for addressing impact cratering problems, because these problems often exceed experimental capabilities. I show that the Free Lagrange (FLAG) hydrocode, developed and maintained by Los Alamos National Laboratory, can be used for impact cratering simulations by verifying FLAG against two analytical models of aluminum-on-aluminum impacts at different impact velocities and validating FLAG against a glass-into-water laboratory impact experiment. My verification results show good agreement with the theoretical maximum pressures, and my mesh resolution study shows that FLAG converges at resolutions low enough to reduce the required computation time from about 28 hours to about 25 minutes.
Asteroid 16 Psyche is the largest M-type (metallic) asteroid in the Main Asteroid Belt. Radar albedo data indicate Psyche's surface is rich in metallic content, but estimates for Psyche's composition vary widely. Psyche has two large impact structures in its Southern hemisphere, with estimated diameters from 50 km to 70 km and estimated depths up to 6.4 km. I use the FLAG hydrocode to model the formation of the largest of these impact structures. My results indicate an oblique angle of impact rather than a vertical impact. These results also support previous claims that Psyche is metallic and porous. / Dissertation/Thesis / Psyche asteroid impact simulation initialization / Psyche asteroid impact simulation video / Doctoral Dissertation Applied Mathematics 2019

'Something real American' : David Foster Wallace and authenticityWilliams, Iain January 2016 (has links)
It has become something of a truism to contend that David Foster Wallace was concerned with irony; both its challenge to ethical conviction and the ability of the author to enact sincere communication in the millennial United States. However, this privileging of sincerity within Wallace Studies has resulted in neglect being shown to the first half of Polonius’ famous dialectic – ‘to thine own self be true’ – precluding analysis of Wallace that focuses on his relationship with authenticity. Similarly, critics have often sought to argue for Wallace’s panhuman universalism, to the detriment of the overtly nationalistic strain in his writing. This thesis aims to address these underrepresented areas within Wallace scholarship, arguing that his writing is fundamentally engaged with a debate over what it means to be ‘real American’. The phrase is taken from a 1996 interview with Salon.com’s Laura Miller, during which Wallace averred that his intention when writing Infinite Jest was to capture ‘something real American, about what it’s like to live in America around the millenium’ (Conversations with David Foster Wallace 59). This comment is central to an understanding of Wallace’s oeuvre, as it introduces his historical specificity and his pragmatic desire to explore ‘what it’s like to live’, whilst also alluding to his constant negotiation with epistemological and ontological questions over the ‘real’, all framed within an expressly nationalistic paradigm. The word ‘real’ is used in this sense both as an adverb to connote something that is authentically or intrinsically ‘American’, whilst it also serves as an intensifier – to denote something that is very American – implying a hierarchy of things that can be more ‘American’ than others. With regards to his immediate historical context, this entrenches Wallace firmly within the Culture Wars of the 1990s, and yet it also gestures further back in history, situating him within a fundamentally American literary tradition: the American Jeremiad. Wallace’s challenge was to attempt to engage with ideas of the real and the really American, despite the challenges to authenticity (and indeed the idea of a nation) that resulted from the permeation of myriad contemporary discourses into the national psyche, including advertising jargon, postmodern/poststructural ‘theory’, the language of psychotherapy, the discourse of political correctness, and the partisan rhetoric of politicians. The first two chapters will focus on Wallace's engagement with ostensible challenges to the 'authentic' subject, and the difficulty of authentically representing the self. Chapter one will focus on 'Octet' and Wallace's uneasy place within the so-called 'New Sincerity' paradigm, highlighting Wallace’s attempt to counter the discourse of ‘postmodern irony’ with an ‘other-directed’ sincerity, and yet exposing his conservative project of self-preservation. Chapter two will examine Wallace's often fraught relationship with psychotherapy; in particular the way that psychotherapeutic discourse has infiltrated American culture, precluding the singularity and authentic representation of individual experience. Chapter three will continue this exploration of the widespread adoption of specialist discourses, although this time focusing on the abstractions of postmodern/poststructural theory, and Wallace’s attempt to find ‘real American’ replacement cultural symbols that could be applied to both individuals and the nation as a collective. Chapter four will be concerned with Wallace's search for an efficacious philosophical model that is suitably 'American'; whilst also capable of incorporating the singularity of individual experience within a national collectivity. Finally, chapter five will focus on Wallace's more explicit engagement with politics, tracing the development of his political ideas. In doing so a picture of Wallace will emerge that highlights some of his contradictions; contradictions that he himself was aware of and drew attention to, as well as contradictions that run to the very heart of 'the idea of America'.

Structure d'attachement dans la dermatite atopique / Attachment in atopic dermatitisSage, Thierry 04 November 2011 (has links)
Atopic dermatitis is an inflammatory skin disorder which usually appears before the age of five, and heals naturally little by little after adolescence in over 90% of cases. Why this spontaneous improvement occurs is not clearly established for this multi-factor skin disorder, for which the etiopathology has yet to be determined (immune system maturity?).There is a clear relationship between this pathology and the psyche: major psychological repercussions affecting the quality of life, aggravation or triggering of skin reactions due to stress, alleviation of lesions using psychotherapy. Observation of patterns of attachment is important in the field of psychopathology, but is not often undertaken in the domain of organic pathology. We studied the patterns of attachment for 80 adults having suffered from atopic dermatitis during childhood, 40 of them had been cured since adolescence, the other 40 continued to suffer from outbreaks of eczema. Attachment was evaluated using a self-completion questionnaire (CAMIR by PIERRE HUMBERT) and the attachment interview was graded using the Q-SORT method, by KOBAK. We also measured the associated psychopathological symptoms using the SCL90-R scale, level of anxiety using SPIELBERGER’s state-trait-anxiety inventory (STAIY), and coping measurement using the WCC-R scale devised by VITALIANO. Total IgE was measured. Patients suffering from atopic dermatitis that began before the age of 3 years are not more insecure than patients whose skin disorder started later in life. This meant that there were possibly no repercussions on the pattern of attachment for cases of atopic dermatitis that had appeared in the first years of life, contrary to all reports regarding a chronic pathology appearing early in life. This implies that caring for the skin has a positive effect on the mother-child relationship. On the other hand, adults suffer from major repercussions of atopic dermatitis later on in life: increased sense of preoccupied insecurity in terms of representations of attachment, increased scores in all the psychopathological dimensions measured, and an anxious need for outside support. These repercussions are even more serious when IgE is high, but this is not solely connected with the gravity of the illness. Adults suffering from persistent atopic dermatitis are basically more insecure than those who are cured: if long-term stability in the pattern of attachment is considered, this study could place pattern of attachment as a possible predictive disposition factor in the evolution of atopic dermatitis. The security score of cured patients is all the greater when IgE is normal. The existence of an interaction between the attachment pattern and the system for adapting to stress has been suggested, since they are both dependent on development. The role played by IgE remains to be determined. In terms of health psychology, the pattern of attachment could be considered as a disposition factor likely to influence the evolution of a skin disorder.

junguiana e a poimênica.
junguiana, o cuidado pastoral e a própria religião. No desenvolvimento dessas
e da teologia da cruz enquanto vértices para uma efetiva cura da alma / This paper discusses issues related to the concept and practice of pastoral
care, with contributions from Jungian analysis for Christian guidance and
counseling, as well as studies the links between Jungian therapy and pastoral
care. To accomplish this, it is based on the assertion that the Christian
counseling and pastoral care are linked to the ministries of the church, in the
sense of diakonia, to the services that involve helping people and groups,
because it offers them the prospect of faith and revelation. It develops the idea
that analytical psychology can offer a suitable method for Christian needs,
considering that the Jungian approach enables both the transformation and
integration of psychic contents, as well as taking on the path of self-knowledge,
and both of these results also point to the benefits of spiritual and religious
guidance, showing that this is the main meeting of and relationship between
Jungian analysis, pastoral care, and religion itself. In developing these
perspectives religious and symbolic dimensions of the psyche and the theology
of the cross as vertices for effective healing of the soul were explored.

Le rapport à la langue de jeunes "issus" de l'immigration : de l'identité à l'origine / The relationship between the language and immigrant young people : from the identity to the originsBoudjedir, Sihem 23 February 2018 (has links)
This dissertation focuses on the relations between the subject and languages and in particular in the given socio-cultural context marked by a cultural and linguistic plurality. It explores the link between the subject and language(s) and more precisely, the way languages border on identity construction. We try to clarify the notion of a language, its appropriation, share and transmission from the psychological point of view and its functions such as family heritage from the cultural point of view. This thesis apprehends the subject in its singularity according to the method of clinical analysis of research interviews taking the narrow link between the and the culture for its starting point and is based mainly on the theory of psychoanalysis. The analysis of interviews shows that in the words of the studied subjects the link with the language has an effect on social and family anchoring. The language of the country, that the parents come from, appears as the ‘origin language’ having ‘affiliation’ as its function and enabling to create and maintain the link with the family origins. By establishing the kinship links in a movement that recreates them endlessly, the connection with ‘the origin language’ that is a part of genealogy line, assigns a place in the genealogy order and enables the openness to some other possible affiliations. Thus, the link with the language appears as a function that constitutes ‘family’ in terms of continuity and forms an external origin for the subject, but central for the identity construction and feeling of belonging.
