[pt] Por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica de caráter histórico, analítico e qualitativo, abordou-se a temática da teologia compreendida como hermenêutica da fé e suas implicações no método teológico de Joseph Ratzinger. O objeto formal dessa tese é o método teológico de Ratzinger sob a perspectiva da teologia compreendida como hermenêutica da fé, no contexto da relação entre hermenêutica, teologia e método. Da expressão hermenêutica da fé, é possível compreender as características do método teológico como praticado por Joseph Ratzinger. Portanto, essa pesquisa realiza uma análise histórica, dogmática e teológica sobre o desenvolvimento do método teológico, com o objetivo de situar o autor analisado no contexto da história da questão. Também se fez necessário recorrer a um percurso de caráter histórico e analítico sobre a compreensão da hermenêutica, com o intuito de captar de forma mais precisa o uso do termo hermenêutica pelo autor estudado. Por fim, com base no duplo percurso, essa tese analisa a obra de Joseph Ratzinger para definir o emprego particular que ele faz da expressão hermenêutica da fé e como tal substrato reflete-se em sua metodologia teológica, também delineada e analisada em sua compreensão da natureza da teologia. / [en] Through a bibliographical review of a historical, analytical and qualitative nature, the theme of theology understood as a hermeneutics of faith and its implications for Joseph Ratzinger s theological method was approached. The formal object of this thesis is Ratzinger s theological method from the perspective of theology understood as a hermeneutics of faith, in the context of the relationship between hermeneutics, theology and method. From the expression hermeneutics of faith, it is possible to understand the characteristics of the theological method as practiced by Joseph Ratzinger. Therefore, this research carries out a historical, dogmatic and theological analysis of the development of the theological method, with the aim of placing the analyzed author in the context of the history of the issue. It was also necessary to resort to a historical and analytical course on the understanding of hermeneutics, with the aim of capturing more precisely the use of the term hermeneutics by the author studied. Finally, based on a double path, this thesis analyzes the work of Joseph Ratzinger to define the particular use he makes of the hermeneutic expression of faith and how this substrate is reflected in his theological methodology, also outlined and analyzed in his understanding of nature of theology.

[pt] A fé cristã como possibilidade de uma verdadeira existência humana, busca fazer uma leitura do pensamento teológico de Joseph Ratzinger, sistematizando a temática da fé cristã e demonstrando a força e vitalidade que a tornam possibilidade de uma verdadeira existência humana nos dias de hoje. O cenário que faz fundo a este estudo é a questão da verdade e a crise da fé no contexto moderno. Diante da atual conjuntura cultural e teológica da fé cristã, o cristianismo encontra-se perante um verdadeiro dilema: a compreensão moderna de realidade, na qual o alcance cognoscitivo se limita ao sensível, ao que é fenomênico, onde a única realidade existente é a matéria, estabelecendo assim um reinado do factível e o predomínio de uma filosofia: o relativismo. A fé cristã, no entanto, vai além daquilo que a pura razão é capaz de reconhecer, vai ao encontro de Cristo, do logos, do sentido, da própria verdade. O ser humano não pode ser sustentado somente pelo que é visível e tangível, pelo mensurável, por isso a fé o impele a uma abertura decisiva para o Logos. Portanto, a fé cristã não é um sistema, uma ideia, uma entrega cega ao irracional, mas pertence ao âmbito da verdade, pois é a opção para a prioridade da razão e do racional. Crer é razoável. Assim, é possível compreender a função humanizadora da fé cristã e sua estrutura pessoal: a essência da fé cristã consiste em aceitar e viver a existência como relacionalidade, cuja fórmula central é Creio em ti e não Creio em algo. Nessa relação com Deus Pessoa se instaura a primazia do amor: ser cristão é humanizar-se pelo amor. Um Deus-Amor que atua de modo transtemporal e translocalmente, promovendo um encontro da fé com as culturas, não para privá-las de algo, antes para constituir um estímulo à busca da plenitude da verdade. Esta síntese do pensamento de Ratzinger sobre a fé cristã quer afirmar que, somente em Deus, o ser humano alcança o sentido da vida, uma real e verdadeira existência humana. / [en] The Christian faith as a possibility of a real human existence, seeks to make a reading of the theological thought of Joseph Ratzinger, systematizing the set of themes of Christian faith and demonstrating the strength and vitality that make it, currently, a possibility of human existence. The scenario that makes background to this study is the question of truth and the crisis of faith in the modern context. Given the current cultural and theological circumstances of the Christian faith, Christianity faces a real dilemma: the modern understanding of reality, in which the cognoscitive scope is limited to sensitive, phenomenal, where the only reality that exists is the matter establishing, thus, a reign of feasible and the prevalence of a philosophy: relativism. The Christian faith, however, goes beyond what pure reason is capable of recognizing, towards Christ, the logos, the sense, the truth itself. The human being can not be sustained only by what is visible, tangible and measurable, so faith impels a person to a decisive opening to the Logos. Therefore, the Christian faith is not a system, an idea, a blind surrender to the irrational, but it belongs to the realm of truth, it is the choice for the priority of reason and rational. Believing is reasonable. Thus, it is possible to understand the humanizing function of the Christian faith and its personal structure: the essence of the Christian faith is to accept and live life as relationality, whose core formula is I believe in You and not I believe in something. In this relationship with God Person is established the primacy of love: being a Christian is to humanize by love. A God-Love that acts so transtemporal and trans-local, promoting an encounter of faith with cultures, not to deprive them of something, rather to provide a stimulus to search for the fullness of truth. This synthesis of thought of Ratzinger about the Christian faith wants to assert that only in God, the human being attains the meaning of life, a real and true human existence.

[pt] Igreja em comunhão: a colegialidade episcopal na eclesiologia de Joseph Ratzinger, busca demonstrar que a unidade da Igreja requer a estrutura do colégio episcopal como representação das Igrejas e da sua comunhão interna, de tal modo que a colegialidade episcopal pode ser compreendida no ser da Igreja como expressão da Communio e garante da unidade. O trabalho parte da eclesiologia de comunhão de Joseph Ratzinger e sua compreensão sobre o ministério episcopal para desenvolver o tema da colegialidade episcopal a partir do Concílio Vaticano II e dos desafios pastorais da Igreja hoje. A pesquisa está dividida em cinco momentos: uma introdução biográfica e teológica para situar Joseph Ratzinger no contexto eclesial do século XX; a apresentação do problema histórico da autocompreensão da Igreja e a relação histórica entre primado e colegialidade; a teologia conciliar e o desenvolvimento teológico da eclesiologia eucarística de comunhão; a demonstração dos fundamentos cristológicos e pastorais do ministério episcopal; e, por fim, a colegialidade episcopal como princípio de unidade eclesial e suas principais implicações na práxis eclesial. Ao tratar do tema da colegialidade episcopal na eclesiologia de comunhão busca-se apresentar o valor do episcopado como instrumento apto a promover uma maior comunhão entre os prelados e, consequentemente, entre as Igrejas Locais, bem como maior autonomia na obra da evangelização. Destarte, a pesquisa busca demonstrar que a unidade da Igreja requer a estrutura do colégio episcopal como representação das Igrejas, pois a grande communio, cujo papa é o primeiro, pressupõe a existência da communio ecclesiarum. Aqui reside a fecundidade pastoral tanto do primado quanto do colégio episcopal. / [es] Iglesia en comunión: la colegialidad episcopal en la eclesiología de Joseph Ratzinger, intenta demostrar que la unidad de la Iglesia requiere la estructura del colegio episcopal como una representación de las Iglesias y de su comunión interna, por lo que la colegialidad episcopal puede entenderse en el ser de la Iglesia como una expresión de Communio y garantía de la unidad. El trabajo parte de la eclesiología de comunión de Joseph Ratzinger y su comprensión del ministerio episcopal para desarrollar el tema de la colegialidad episcopal desde el Concilio Vaticano II y los desafíos pastorales de la Iglesia en la actualidad. La investigación se divide en cinco fases: una introducción biográfica y teológica para situar Joseph Ratzinger en el contexto eclesial del siglo XX; la presentación del problema histórico del ser de la Iglesia y la relación histórica entre el primado y la colegialidad; la teologia conciliar y el desarrollo teológico de la eclesiología eucarística de la comunión; la declaración de las bases cristológicas y pastorales del ministerio episcopal; y, por último, la colegialidad episcopal como un principio de unidad eclesial y sus principales implicaciones en la práctica de la Iglesia. Para abordar el tema de la colegialidad episcopal en la eclesiología de comunión se busca presentar el valor del episcopado como un instrumento capaz de promover una mayor comunión entre los obispos y en consecuencia, entre las iglesias locales, así como una mayor autonomía en el trabajo de evangelización. Por lo tanto, la investigación pretende demostrar que la unidad de la Iglesia requiere la estructura del colegio episcopal como una representación de las iglesias, para la gran comunión, cuyo papa es el primero, supone la existencia de la communio Ecclesiarum. Aquí se encuentra la fecundidad pastoral tanto de la primacía papal como del colegio episcopal.

[pt] Bento XVI, em sua obra Jesus de Nazaré: Desde a entrada em Jerusalém até a ressurreição , publicada em 2011, afirmou que a preposição por é a palavra-chave para se entender o mistério de Cristo e o significado do seu seguimento, pois introduz na teologia o conceito de pró-existência. A presente tese tem como finalidade estudar como aparece e que lugar ocupa o conceito de pró-existência na obra cristológica de Joseph Ratzinger. Ao desenvolver o presente estudo em quatro capítulos expositivos, o autor se propõe no primeiro capítulo diversas considerações preliminares. No segundo capítulo, a pesquisa expõe a manifestação de Deus como pró-existente no decurso da história. No terceiro, são apresentados os fundamentos da pró-existência: em Jesus, e, a partir de sua revelação, no mistério trinitário. No último capítulo se desenvolve a pró-existência no sacrifício oferecido por Jesus na cruz. O trajeto proposto fundamenta as afirmações de Jesus de Nazaré . O vocábulo bíblico por introduz na teologia o conceito de pró-existência: a vida de Jesus se caracterizou como uma existência toda voltada para o Pai e vivida para a salvação da humanidade. Da revelação de Jesus Cristo se é conduzido a conhecer a pró-existência intratrinitária, e, ao mesmo tempo, a considerar a pró-existência do homem enquanto pessoa e cristão. O ápice da entrega de Cristo para o Pai e para a humanidade se deu no mistério da cruz. Sendo Cristo o constitutivo do ser-cristão, este, ao responder à oferta salvífica feita por Cristo na cruz, encontrará a si mesmo e a própria salvação. De modo concreto, o ser humano se descobrirá e será salvo, ao reproduzir em si a atitude fundamental que caracterizou a pessoa e o agir de Jesus: vivendo de forma pró-existente sua entrega confiante e obediente ao Pai, e, ao mesmo tempo, o amor solícito ao próximo. / [en] Benedict XVI, in his work Jesus of Nazareth: From the Entrance into Jerusalem to the Resurrection , published in 2011, stated that the preposition for is the key word to understand the mystery of Christ and the meaning of following him, as it introduces the concept of pro-existence into theology. This present thesis aims to study how it appears and what place the concept of pro-existence occupies in the Christological work of Joseph Ratzinger. Structured in four explanatory chapters, this research proposes several preliminary considerations in the First Chapter. In the Second one, the survey exposes the manifestation of God as pro-existing throughout history. In the Third Chapter, the foundations of pro-existence are summarized on Jesus and his revelation, in the Trinitarian mystery. The Last Chapter presents the pro-existence in the sacrifice offered by Jesus on the cross. The suggested path underlies the claims of Jesus of Nazareth . The biblical term for leads the concept of pro-existence into theology: Jesus life was distinguished as an existence all engaged towards the Father and lived for the salvation of mankind. From the revelation of Jesus Christ, one is led to know the intra-Trinitarian pro-existence, and, at the same time, to consider the pro-existence of man as a person and a Christian. The height of Christ s surrender to the Father and to humanity took place in the mystery of the cross. Since Christ is the constituent element of the Christian being, one will find oneself and one s own salvation in responding to Christ s saving offer on the cross. In a concrete way, the human being will discover oneself and be saved by reproducing in a fundamental attitude that characterized the person and behavior of Jesus: living in a pro-existing way his confident and obedient surrender to the Father, and, at the same time, a solicitous love towards others.

[pt] Esta dissertação expõe as principais teses cristológicas de Joseph Ratzinger, considerando-as em sua unidade e totalidade internas conferidas pelo conceito de cristologia espiritual. Para tanto, efetua-se um caminho analítico que oferece uma visão unificada dos diversos âmbitos da cristologia ratzingeriana. A dimensão analítica consiste na abordagem de cada momento da fórmula cristológica Jesus-Cristo-Logos . O primeiro momento diz respeito ao caráter histórico da cristologia, o qual é abordado diacronicamente pelo levantamento do status quaestionis da pesquisa crítica em busca do Jesus histórico , e sincronicamente mediante a teologia da encarnação que, em J. Ratzinger, não se desvincula da teologia da cruz. O segundo momento da fórmula concerne à profissão de fé bíblica no homem Jesus a partir da categoria Cristo , cujo contexto mais amplo é analisado mediante os seguintes títulos: profeta, Filho de Deus e Senhor. Por fim, o terceiro momento considera a cristologia do Logos no amplo arcabouço fornecido pela cristologia dogmática, tal como se desenvolveu até o século VII no terceiro Concílio de Constantinopla. A análise da cristologia dogmática tem como preâmbulo a discussão a respeito da legitimidade da linguagem do dogma, justificando a abordagem formal dos primeiros concílios que delinearam o dogma cristológico. A exposição analítica da cristologia de J. Ratzinger conduz à junção das teses – synthesis –, fazendo emergir a dimensão sintética como o corolário desta pesquisa. A hipótese levantada como ensejo conclusivo consiste no entendimento de que a unidade da cristologia espiritual ratzingeriana, conquanto seja fruto de um preciso enfoque metodológico, pode ser reduzida ao mínimo denominador comum pertencente aos três momentos da fórmula cristológica: a relacionalidade. A total relatividade, manifestada historicamente pelo fato da oração, pertence ao homem Jesus, ao Cristo professado e ao Logos da dogmática. / [en] This essay exposes the main Christological theses of Joseph Ratzinger, considering them in their internal unity and totality conferred by the concept of spiritual Christology . To this end, an analytical path is taken offering a unified view of the various areas of Ratzingerian Christology. The analytical dimension consists of approaching each moment of the Christological formula Jesus-Christ-Logos . The first moment concerns the historical character of Christology, which is dealt with diachronicly by raising the status quaestionis of critical research in search of the historical Jesus , and synchronously through the theology of the incarnation, which, in J. Ratzinger, does not separate from the theology of the cross. The second part of the formula concerns the profession of biblical faith in the man Jesus from the category Christ , whose broader context is analyzed through the following titles: prophet, Son of God and Lord. Finally, the third moment considers the Christology of the Logos in the broad framework provided by dogmatic Christology, as it developed until the 7th century in the third Council of Constantinople. The analysis of dogmatic Christology has as its preamble the discussion about the legitimacy of dogma s language, justifying the formal approach of the first councils that outlined Christological dogma. The analytical exposition of J. Ratzinger s Christology leads to the junction of theses - synthesis -, making the synthetic dimension emerge as the corollary of this research. The hypothesis raised as a conclusive opportunity consists in the understanding that the unity of the Ratzingerian spiritual Christology , although it is the result of a precise methodological approach, can be reduced to the minimum common denominator belonging to the three moments of the Christological formula: the relationality. Total relativity, historically manifested by the fact of prayer, belongs to the man Jesus, the professed Christ and the Logos of dogmatics.

[pt] O Tema da Democracia é discutido e pensando nas mais diversas rodas e mesas do saber. Desde a discussão sobre sua formação a sua maneira de existir enquanto forma de governo, muitos são os pensadores e estudos. A Igreja também, desde seu nascimento, é alvo de discussões sobre seu modo de funcionamento e seu governo, fazendo com que, ao longo dos séculos, seja pensada das mais variadas óticas e autores. Joseph Ratzinger, por exemplo, autor, Padre, exímio teólogo e Papa, então surge como figura central no presente texto. Sua maneira de entender a democracia, seu pensamento a respeito da autoridade eclesial, direitos humanos e garantias fundamentais da vida em sociedade são temas abordados na tentativa de elucidar questões que envolvem a relação Igreja e sociedade, governo terreno e governo divino e até mesmo seus preceitos históricos através do seu pensamento teológico. A tentativa de analisar a reflexão teológica sobre a democracia a luz do pensamento de Bento XVI é o objeto central desta apresentação. / [en] The Theme of democracy is discussed and thinking in the most diverse circles and tables of knowledge. From the discussion about its formation to its way of existing as a form of government, there are many thinkers and studies. Since its birth, the Church has also been the subject of discussions about its mode of functioning and its government, making it, over the centuries, thought of from the most varied perspectives and authors. Joseph Ratzinger, for example, author, priest, eminent theologian and Pope, thus emerges as a central figure in this text. His way of understanding democracy, his thinking about ecclesial authority, human rights and fundamental guarantees of life in society are topics addressed in an attempt to elucidate issues involving the relationship between Church and society, earthly government and divine government and even its precepts through his theological thought. The attempt to analyze theological reflection on democracy in the light of Benedict XVI s thought is the central object of this presentation.

[pt] O tema da presente pesquisa é a influência do pensamento de Romano Guardini na construção e desenvolvimento da teologia litúrgica de Joseph Ratzinger. Está inserida nas atividades de pesquisa do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Teologia da PUC-Rio, área de concentração Teologia Sistemático-Pastoral, linha de pesquisa Fé e Cultura, projeto de pesquisa A Teologia de Joseph Ratzinger e o Magistério de Bento XVI. Seu principal objetivo é investigar a existência de uma coerência interna entre o pensamento do intelectual veronese com o do teólogo bávaro de tal maneira que se possa verificar se a teologia litúrgica de Joseph Ratzinger está em continuidade com o pensamento de Romano Guardini sobre a sagrada liturgia. Assim sendo, após uma primeira reflexão, que busca reaver a personalidade e o pensamento de Romano Guardini a partir a apresentação de dados biográficos, do contexto histórico/teológico e da exposição e análise de sua clássica obra litúrgica O Espírito da Liturgia, o estudo se desenvolve em duas abordagens sucessivas: a apresentação e análise do princípios abordados no famoso escrito ratzingeriano O Espírito da Liturgia. Uma introdução e a análise comparativa entre os textos teológicos já citados, a fim de descobrir pontos de contato entre os pensamentos de ambos os autores, que examinam a hipótese de que parte do pensamento litúrgico de Joseph Ratzinger está construído sobre bases lançadas por Romano Guardini. O escopo desta pesquisa é contribuir para uma melhor divulgação e compreensão da teologia litúrgica de Joseph Ratzinger. / [en] The theme of this research is the influence of Romano Guardini s thought on the construction and development of Joseph Ratzinger s liturgical theology. It is part of the research activities of the Postgraduate Program in Theology of PUC-Rio, Area of Concentration Systematic-Pastoral Theology, research line Faith and Culture, research project Joseph Ratzinger s Theology and the Magisterium of Benedict XVI. The main objective is to investigate the existence of an internal coherence between the thinking of the veronese intellectual and that of the bavarian theologian in such a way that it can be verified whether Joseph Ratzinger s liturgical theology is in continuity with Romano Guardini s thinking about the sacred liturgy. Thus, after a first reflection that seeks to recover the personality and thinking of Romano Guardini from the presentation of biographical data, the historical / theological context and the exposition and analysis of his classic liturgical work The Spirit of the Liturgy, the study develops in two successive approaches: the presentation and analysis of the principles addressed in the famous ratzingerian writing The Spirit of the Liturgy; and the comparative analysis of the theological texts already cited, in order to discover points of contact between the thought of both authors, which examine the hypothesis that part of Joseph Ratzinger s liturgical thought is built on foundations laid by Romano Guardini. The scope of this research is to contribute to a better dissemination and understanding of the liturgical theology of Joseph Ratzinger.

[pt] O tema da presente pesquisa é a proclamação de Jesus sobre o Reino de Deus na teologia de Joseph Ratzinger e no Magistério de Bento XVI. Está inserida nas atividades de pesquisa do Programa de Pós Graduação em Teologia da PUCRio, área de concentração Teologia Sistemático-Pastoral, linha de pesquisa Fé e Cultura, projeto de pesquisa A Teologia de Joseph Ratzinger e o Magistério de Bento XVI. O que se pretende – como objetivo principal – é investigar como essa noção é interpretada nos textos desse autor, qual o significado que tal realidade assume em seu pensamento teológico e em seu Magistério e identificar sua importância para a compreensão da figura e da mensagem de Jesus. Com esse último elemento, na realidade, se toca em um aspecto da grande e importante questão que é a relação entre a proclamação do Reino de Deus por Jesus de Nazaré e as origens da cristologia. Com isto, se visa obter um melhor esclarecimento sobre como Joseph Ratzinger-Bento XVI interpreta o Reino de Deus e de que forma ele fundamenta e aplica essa sua interpretação. Faz ainda parte do escopo da pesquisa a identificação de elementos que distinguem sua interpretação da de outros autores e, ainda, se sua interpretação sofre alguma alteração na evolução de sua obra. Como é sabido, no contexto da discussão sobre o Jesus histórico, essa problemática constitui um aspecto essencial, inúmeros autores se debruçaram sobre ela e muitas foram as interpretações que dela se ofereceram, pelo menos, desde o século XVIII, com o advento da pesquisa histórico-crítica. / [en] This research has as its theme the proclamation of Jesus about the Kingdom of God in the theology of Joseph Ratzinger and in the Magisterium of Benedict XVI. It is part of the research activities of the Postgraduate Program in Theology of PUC-Rio, Area of Concentration Systematic-Pastoral Theology, research line Faith and Culture, research project Joseph Ratzinger s Theology and the Magisterium of Benedict XVI. Intending - as its main objective - to investigate, through the interpretation of the texts of this author, the meaning that the approached reality assumes in his theological thinking and in his teaching and to identify its importance in understanding the figure and message of Jesus. In this last element, we seek to emphasize the aspect of the great and important question that deals with the relationship between the proclamation of the Kingdom of God by Jesus of Nazareth and the origins of Christology. In order to gain a better understanding of how Joseph Ratzinger-Benedict XVI interprets the kingdom of God and how its interpretation is grounded and applied. It is also part of the scope of the research to identify elements that distinguish their interpretation compared to other authors and also if their interpretation suffers any change in the evolution of their work. As is well known, in the context of the discussion of the historical Jesus, this issue is an essential aspect, many authors have addressed it, and many interpretations have been offered to it at least since the 18th century, with the advent of historical and critical research.

[pt] A hermenêutica bíblico-teológica situada na metodologia teológica de Joseph Ratzinger, nomeada por ele hermenêutica da fé, é o tema principal dessa dissertação. Busca-se através desse aspecto do pensamento de Ratzinger encontrar perspectivas que proporcionem, no fazer teológico, uma relação saudável e frutífera entre Sagrada Escritura e teologia sistemática, tendo em vista o contexto da teologia contemporânea e os desafios hodiernos. Para analisar esse aspecto do pensamento de Ratzinger, foi necessário estudar e apresentar o que é o método histórico-crítico, pois a formulação da sua hermenêutica bíblico-teológica se deu no diálogo com ele. Posteriormente se analisou a importância da Constituição Dogmática Dei Verbum na sistematização da hermenêutica bíblico-teológica de Ratzinger. Buscando verificar esse aspecto de sua metodologia em uma área específica de sua teologia, optou-se pela cristologia, em especial no primeiro volume de sua obra Jesus de Nazaré. Nesse capítulo busca-se evidenciar a maneira como Ratzinger interpreta as Sagradas Escrituras no fazer teológico, com o objetivo de verificar se ele pratica sua hermenêutica bíblico-teológica. Também é dedicado um capítulo à apresentação das diversas análises feitas por alguns autores à proposta metodológica de Ratzinger para a composição do Jesus de Nazaré. Nessas análises, buscou-se focar a metodologia usada por Ratzinger. Foram apresentadas as recepções positivas, e também, algumas críticas. / [en] The main theme of this Master s Thesis is about biblical-theological hermeneutics based on Joseph Ratzinger s theological methodology, which he calls the hermeneutics of faith. Through this aspect of Ratzinger s thought, we seek to find perspectives in the theological making that provide a healthy and fruitful relationship between Sacred Scripture and Systematic Theology, which considers the context of contemporary theology and current challenges. Therefore, in order to analyze this aspect of Ratzinger s thought, it was necessary to study and present the meaning of historical-critical method, because the formulation of his biblicaltheological hermeneutics took place in the dialogue about this method. After this, the importance of Dogmatic Constitution Dei Verbum in the systematization of Ratzinger s biblical-theological hermeneutics was analyzed. In order to verify this aspect of his methodology in a specific area of his theology, Christology was chosen especially in the first volume of his book Jesus of Nazareth. In the first chapter, we try to highlight the way Ratzinger interprets the Holy Scriptures in his theological work. It has the aim of verifying if he practices his biblical-theological hermeneutics. There is also a chapter dedicated to present many analyzes made by some authors about the methodological proposal of Ratzinger to compose his book Jesus of Nazareth. In these analyzes, we sought to focus on the methodology used by Ratzinger. Positive receptions were presented, as well as some critical ones.

[pt] O tema da presente pesquisa é A Igreja, povo reunido por Deus para o seu Reino: um estudo comparativo entre Gerhard Lohfink e Joseph Ratzinger. Está inserida nas atividades de pesquisa do Programa de Pós-graduação em Teologia da PUC-Rio, área de concentração Teologia Sistemático-Pastoral, linha de pesquisa Fé e Cultura, projeto de pesquisa A Teologia de Joseph Ratzinger e o Magistério de Bento XVI. Efetivamente, o problema aqui explorado se situa entre os grandes temas do quadro eclesiológico e, com essa formulação temática, fundamentalmente pretendemos o seguinte: explorar tanto a compreensão sobre o significado da proclamação de Jesus do Reino de Deus, que emerge do pensamento de Gerhard Lohfink e Joseph Ratzinger, no contexto da pesquisa recente sobre Jesus, como também a hermenêutica – fundamentos e princípios, desenvolvimento das reflexões e implicações teológicas – elaborada por esses autores, no que se refere ao conteúdo da mensagem de Jesus, prestando especial atenção ao modo como interpretam a relação entre o Reino de Deus e a Igreja; destacar, por meio da comparação dos resultados obtidos durante a pesquisa, alguns aspectos comuns ao pensamento de Gerhard Lohfink – no contexto da pesquisa sobre o Jesus histórico e, mais especificamente, sobre sua proclamação do Reino de Deus na sua relação com a Igreja – com a compreensão que Joseph Ratzinger possui, sobre o tema; identificar consequências e implicações do tema para diferentes áreas da teologia; e aprofundar questões relativas ao tema, especialmente, em relação à cristologia, à eclesiologia e à pastoral, por exemplo, com alguma ênfase, quanto às relações do tema com a sinodalidade eclesial, o ecumenismo e o diálogo interreligioso. / [en] This research has as its theme The Church, a people gathered by God for his Kingdom: a comparative study between Gerhard Lohfink and Joseph Ratzinger. It is part of the research activities of the Postgraduate Program in Theology at PUC-Rio, in the area of concentration Systematic-Pastoral Theology, research line Faith and Culture, research project The Theology of Joseph Ratzinger and the Magisterium of Benedict XVI. In fact, the problem explored here is situated among the great themes of the ecclesiological framework and, with this thematic formulation, we fundamentally intend the following: explore both the understanding of the meaning of Jesus proclamation of the Kingdom of God, which emerges from the thought of Gerhard Lohfink and Joseph Ratzinger, in the context of recent research on Jesus, as well as the hermeneutics - foundations and principles, development of reflections and theological implications - elaborated by these authors, with regard to the content of Jesus message, paying particular attention to the way they interpret the relationship between the Kingdom of God and the Church; to highlight, by comparing the results obtained during the research, some common aspects of Gerhard Lohfink s thinking - in the context of research on the historical Jesus and, more specifically, on his proclamation of the Kingdom of God in its relationship with the Church - with Joseph Ratzinger s understanding of the theme; to identify consequences and implications of the theme for different areas of theology; and to delve into questions of theology; and deepen issues related to the topic, especially in relation to Christology, ecclesiology and pastoral care, for example, with some emphasis on the relationship of the topic with ecclesial synodality, ecumenism and interreligious dialogue.
