[pt] DESTRAVANDO SOLUÇÕES CRIATIVAS PARA O PARADOXO LUCRO-PROPÓSITO: EXPLORANDO A INFLUÊNCIA DA LIDERANÇA HUMILDE NA CRIATIVIDADE VOLTADA PARA O BEM COMUM / [en] UNLOCKING CREATIVE SOLUTIONS TO THE PURPOSE AND PROFIT PARADOX: EXPLORING THE INFLUENCE OF LEADER HUMILITY ON CREATIVITY TOWARD THE COMMON GOODANA CAROLINA MARTINI BRAZ DE MELLO E SOUZA 15 September 2023 (has links)
[en] Amidst the cutting-edge challenge of reframing organizational success, it is
paramount to understand the role of leadership in influencing followers capability
of solving the paradox of purpose and profit dual-goal, as well as in leveraging
creativity toward the common good (De Cremer & Moore, 2020; Winkler et al.,
2019). By adding the ethical and moral dimensions alongside the economic goal,
organizations start to place purpose into organizational strategy, considering
multiple stakeholders interests (He & Ortiz, 2021; Moroz & Gamble, 2021).
Therefore, against this backdrop, the present research contends that in terms of the
leader s singular behaviors that may help followers navigate the sustainability
paradox, leader humility emerges as a relevant attribute to set the stage for creative
problem-solving to flourish and thrive. The first paper makes a concerted effort to
investigate the business intellectual structure of leader humility and
creativity/innovation, integrating past research findings into a synthetic framework
composed of three conceptual maps that extend prior academic work (Kelemen et
al., 2022). The second paper comprehends two experimental studies that address
cause-and-effect concerns on humble leadership and creativity through the paradox
perspective. The first study confirmed that leader humility is responsible for
followers creative problem-solving via a paradox mindset, and also for creative
process engagement; yielding a marginally significant effect on positive emotions.
The second study, in turn, confirmed that humble leadership is responsible for
promoting positive emotions and perspective-taking on followers, eliciting fewer
negative emotions when compared to the control condition.

[pt] LIDERANÇA TRANSFORMACIONAL E SUAS INTERAÇÕES COM FATORES SITUACIONAIS RELACIONADOS A METAS E TAREFAS / [en] TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP AND ITS INTERACTIONS WITH SITUATIONAL FACTORS RELATED TO GOALS AND TASKSPAULO CÉSAR DA COSTA CARNEIRO 05 September 2016 (has links)
No primeiro modelo,
A pesquisa
[en] This study investigated the interactions between leadership and factors of the organizational context related to goals and individual characteristics of the followers for the prediction of attitudes and behaviors favorable to organizational performance. Two theoretical models have been established. In the first model, hypotheses of moderation of the relationship between transformational leadership and affective organizational commitment by job enrichment and by personal need for structure have been tested. In the second model, hypotheses of moderation of the relationship between transformational leadership and work motivation by goal setting and by goal orientation have been tested. The data for the study have been collected through questionnaires answered by 194 employees of a Brazilian stateowned company of the energy sector. Hypotheses of moderation of the relationship between transformational leadership and affective organizational commitment by job enrichment and by personal need for structure have been confirmed. The study further identified mediation effects of the relationship between transformational leadership and work motivation by goal setting and job enrichment.

[en] CORPORATE CODE OF ETHICS AND THE ETHICAL DECISION-MAKING PROCESS / [pt] CÓDIGOS DE ÉTICA CORPORATIVA E A TOMADA DE DECISÃO ÉTICAANDREA CHERMAN 05 December 2003 (has links)
O
conseguem legitimar a conduta ética e incorporá-la no
comportamento dos funcionários, resultando na tomada de
decisão não ética. / [en] The Corporate Code of Ethics, its format and ethical
orientation, implementation framework and supporting tools
included in the ethics management program, have a strong
influence in the internal stakeholder ethical behavior,
and, consequently, it reflects on the Ethical Decision
Making Process in organizational daily activities. This
study evaluates whether the values expressed in the ethics
document, in fact, conduct the real practice in generating
ethical decisions in the relationship organization-
consumers. The analysis is done crossing three
perspectives: from the ethics manager, the code content,
values and supporting tools; from the lawyer advisory, the
perception about the code of ethics, as it is the area in
charge of mediating the conflicts with consumers; and
the practiced reality extracted from the public prosecuting
processes opened by consumers. This analysis was carried
out in four large companies, with different histories and
characteristics, but all pertaining to the same sector. The
Sector of Private Health Care System concentrates a large
number of consumers complaints, once the sector is built on
a conflict of interest basis. This study reveals that the
organizations, which adopt ethics supporting tools included
in a consistent program, obtain support to the code of
ethics and are able to legitimate the values among the
organizational members. It results positively on the ethical
decision making process. Those organizations that do not
adopt supporting tools in a consistent way are not able to
legitimate the ethical conduct and do not incorporate it to
the employees behavior, generating non-ethical decision-
making.

[pt] GESTÃO ESCOLAR, DESEMPENHO E EQUIDADE NOS ANOS FINAIS DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL: CONSTRUÇÃO E VALIDAÇÃO DE ÍNDICES / [en] SCHOOL MANAGEMENT, ACHIEVEMENT, AND EQUITY IN THE FINAL YEARS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: CONSTRUCTION AND VALIDATION OF INDICESJOAO CARLOS DE SOUZA ANHAIA GINO 03 July 2023 (has links)
fundamental.
[en] The main objective of this thesis was to construct, validate, and discuss the relevance
of indices that relate aspects of school management (principal s leadership,
principal s pedagogical self-efficacy, and management complexity) to the outcome
and equity of students results in the final years of elementary school. The research
was a quantitative study of exploratory nature, having as main samplethe schools of
the municipal network of Rio de Janeiro that offer 9th grade and were evaluated in
SAEB 2019. In a complementary way, analyses were carried out for schools that
offered 5th grade in the same system and for Brazil s 5th and 9th grade public schools
that participated in SAEB 2019. In methodological terms, three indices were
constructed using factor analysis: the Principal Leadership Index (PLI), the
Principal Pedagogical Self-Efficacy Index (PPSEI), and a Management Complexity
Index (MCI) for the municipal system of Rio de Janeiro, an alternativeto the index
created by INEP. Multivariate linear regressions were then performed using the
average math proficiency of students and its standard deviation in each school as
dependent variables and INEP s Socioeconomic Level Index (SELI) as control
variable. The main results indicated that the principal s leadership and the principal s
belief in pedagogical self-efficacy were positively correlated with student
proficiency and achievement inequalities. Management complexity, on the other
hand, showed a negative correlation: the more complex the school, the worse the
student achievement. It was not possible to find statistically reliable results for the
relationship between management complexity and equity in student achievement.
The models for Rio de Janeiro only showed statistical significance in some
coefficients for the 5th grade. All indices and respective coefficients were
statistically significant in the national models.
