[pt] A presente dissertação tem como objetivo analisar a importância da Prestação de Serviços à Comunidade como modalidade de Pena Alternativa e seus benefícios, tanto para os apenados como para a comunidade e a sociedade. Para tanto, iniciamos a discussão traçando um quadro sócio-histórico dos tipos de penalidades desde a Antiguidade até os dias atuais mostrando suas reais funções políticas e econômicas nas mais diversas sociedades. Seguimos analisando as Penas e Medidas Alternativas apresentando seu processo de implantação nas leis brasileiras e a diferenciação entre as duas expressões. Apresentamos como são aplicadas as Penas e Medidas Alternativas e como se deu o processo de instalação da Prestação de Serviços à Comunidade na Central de Penas e Medidas Alternativas da comarca de Duque de Caxias, local onde foi realizada a pesquisa de campo. Assim, constituem-se como elementos norteadores da pesquisa os limites e as possibilidades relacionados ao cumprimento e a efetivação da Prestação de Serviços à Comunidade, assim como são analisadas as instituições parceiras que participam diretamente da realização dessa modalidade de pena. Por fim, analisamos a contribuição do Serviço Social na Prestação de Serviços à Comunidade, apresentando o processo histórico de sua inserção no Sistema Judiciário, e procuramos analisar como essas penas são monitoradas no dia-a-dia e qual a postura do Serviço Social frente a essa temática. / [en] This dissertation aims to analyze the importance of the Community Service Penalty as a form of Alternative Penalty and its benefits, as for inmates as the community and society. For this, we started the discussion by drawing a picture of social and historical types of penalties since the ancient history until the present day, showing their actual political and economic functions in diverse societies. We analyze the Sentencing Alternative Measures showing its implementation process in Brazilian laws and the distinction between the two expressions. We present how the Sentencing Alternative Measures are applied and how was the installation of the Community Service Penalty on the Sentencing and Alternative Measures Centre in the town of Duque de Caxias, where the field research was conducted. Therefore, the guiding elements of the research are the limitations and the possibilities related to the accomplishment and the effectiveness of the Community Services Penalty, as well as the analysis of the partner institutions that participated directly in the realization of this type of penalty. Finally, we analyze the contribution of Social Service over the Community Service Penalty, presenting the historical process of their integration into the Judicial System, how these sentences are monitored daily, and what is the attitude of the Social Service about this theme.

[pt] A discussão acerca da violência é assunto recorrente nos dias atuais. O objetivo deste trabalho é observar como se dá a intervenção do profissional que atua diretamente com o fenômeno da violência física contra crianças e adolescentes. O profissional em questão é o Assistente Social do Poder Judiciário. O estudo debate o fenômeno partindo do pressuposto de que suas múltiplas manifestações fazem parte da sociedade brasileira desde o período colonial e que o recurso à violência é resultado de uma construção histórica que justifica a utilização do disciplinamento físico quando o objetivo é garantir comportamentos e corpos dóceis adequados às normas sociais. Sendo o sujeito produto de sua história, a idéia de que é necessário fazer uso de práticas violentas no sentido de fabricar a obediência e a subordinação, acabou perpassando não só as instituições responsáveis pela manutenção da ordem, mas também os detentores de micropoderes, como a família. Numa discussão que intenta perceber as formas de atuação do serviço social em relação à violência contra crianças e adolescentes, são levantadas hipóteses muito mais que encontradas respostas acerca desse fenômeno que sempre esteve presente em nosso cotidiano, porém, só recentemente, entrou na agenda de preocupações e interesse de diversos atores. Nesse sentido, a presente pesquisa, através da análise de relatórios sociais constantes nas ações processuais referentes à violência contra crianças e adolescentes do Serviço Social de uma Vara de Família, Infância e Juventude do estado do Rio de Janeiro, bem como de entrevista com Assistentes Sociais e Psicólogos da referida Vara, busca caracterizar a atuação do profissional de Serviço Social frente a questão da violência familiar contra a infância e a adolescência. Numa tentativa de reconstruir a trajetória da violência no Brasil, bem como traçar um paralelo entre violência do mundo da rua e violência do mundo da casa, procura também, localizar os espaços ocupados pela infância ao longo do tempo, assim como discutir sobre as providências tomadas pelos poderes constituídos para sua proteção ao longo da história. Busca ainda, apresentar as transformações ocorridas na família brasileira como também suas percepções acerca do fenômeno em tela. Por último, procura mostrar o processo evolutivo da profissão de Serviço Social, assim como o papel desempenhado pelo Assistente Social na esfera do Poder Judiciário, mais especificamente na Vara de Família, Infância e Juventude. / [en] The quarrel concerning the violence is recurrent subject in the current days. The objective of this work is to observe how is the intervention of the professional who directly acts with the phenomenon of the physical violence against children and adolescents. This professional is the Social Worker of Justice. The study debate the phenomenon presupposing that its multiple manifestations composes Brazilian society since its colonial period and that the recourse to the violence is effect of a historical construction that justifies the use of the physical discipline when the objective is to guarantee both behaviors and docile bodies adjusted to the social rules. Human being is product of its history, the idea of being necessary using violent practices to make obedience and subordination, ended up influencing not only the institutions responsible for the maintenance of the order, but also the holder of micro powers, as the family. In a quarrel that tries to perceive the ways social worker acts in relation to the violence against children and adolescents, hypotheses are raised much more that found answers about of this phenomenon that always was present in our daily life. However, only recently, it entered in the agenda of concerns and interest of many actors. In this direction, the present research, through the analysis of social reports constant in procedural actions referring to the violence against children and adolescents of the Social Service of a Pole of Family, Infancy and Youth of the state of Rio de Janeiro, as well as of interview with Social Workers and Psychologists of the referred Pole, it search characterize the performance of the professional of Social Service in what concerns to the familiar violence against infancy and the adolescence. In an attempt to reconstruct the trajectory of the violence in Brazil, as well as tracing a parallel between violence of the world of the street and violence of the world of the house, it also look for to locate the spaces occupied for infancy for the long of time, as well as arguing on the steps taken for the constituted powers for its protection for the long of history. It still search to present the transformations occurred in the Brazilian family as also its perceptions concerning the phenomenon in question. Finally, it look for to show the evolution of the profession of Social Service, as well as the role played for the Social Worker in the sphere of Justice, more specifically in the Pole of Family, Infancy and Youth.

[pt] A crescente expansão das atividades sociais efetivadas pelas Organizações Não-Governamentais (ONGs) têm sido constante nas sociedades contemporâneas. Este modelo de intervenção social traz como pano de fundo a redefinição do papel do Estado, aliado ao predomínio da lógica mercadológica e suas conseqüências sociais. No Brasil, o cenário não é diferente, na medida em que o Estado legitima a ação dessas ONGs por meio do estabelecimento de parcerias que possibilitam que suas responsabilidades sejam desenvolvidas através da efetivação de ações sociais coordenadas pelas ONGs. Nesta dissertação buscou-se traçar o perfil das Organizações-Não-Governamentais localizadas na cidade de Manaus/AM, assim como dos profissionais de Serviço Social que atuam nessas organizações, com o objetivo de coletar dados que possibilitassem conhecer os desafios e possíveis limites impostos a esses profissionais. Neste sentido, foi feita uma pesquisa com as assistentes sociais que desenvolvem seu trabalho junto a ONGs que mantêm convênio com a Secretaria de Estado de Assistência Social do Amazonas. Para dar suporte teórico às propostas neste trabalho, foi realizado um levantamento bibliográfico e documental acerca do tema. Os resultados encontrados levam a concluir, ainda que preliminarmente, que o Serviço Social não ficou imune às mudanças societárias em curso, desde a década de 1990. Antes, sofre diretamente, seja nas requisições que lhes são direcionadas pelas mudanças na fatia do mercado de trabalho que lhe cabe, pelos impactos gerados pelas relações que se estabelecem entre Estado, mercado e sociedade, que vai se (re) construindo na atualidade. / [en] The increasing expansion of the social activities accomplished by the Not-Governmental Organizations has been a constant in the societies contemporaries, this model of social intervention brings as deep cloth of the redefinition of the paper of the State, social ally to the predominance of the marketing logic and its consequences. In Brazil the scene is not different, in the measure where the State legitimizes the action of these ONGs by means of the establishment of partnerships that they make possible that its responsibilities are repassed and thus developed through to take the effect of social actions co-ordinate by the ONGs. In this thesis the objective is to trace the profile of Organization-Not-Governmental of Manaus AM, as well as of the professionals of Social Service who act in these ONGs, in order analyzing the limits and the challenges taxes to these professionals. For in such a way, a research with the Social Assistants will be made who develop its work next to ONGs that they keep accord with the State secretary of Social Assistance of Amazon (Brazil). To give theoretical support to the constant reflections in this work, a bibliographical and documentary survey concerning the subject was carried through, object of this study. Thus, one concludes briefly that the Social Service was not immune to the society changes, but that it suffers directly, either in the solicitations that are directed to them, either for the changes in the slice of the work market that fits to it, the impacts generated for the relations that if establish between State, market and society, that goes if (reverse speed) constructing in the present time.

[pt] Esta dissertação é fruto de estudo junto aos Serviços Residenciais Terapêuticos (SRTs) do Instituto de Psiquiatria da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (IPUB/UFRJ) e a presença do Serviço Social nos mesmos, com ênfase nos aspectos do funcionamento daqueles dispositivos e a atuação profissional na perspectiva da contribuição para com os objetivos da Reforma Psiquiátrica Brasileira. A pesquisa tem foco na busca pela desinstitucionalização e sua articulação com a autonomia dos usuários dos SRTs, além de questionar a necessidade e a viabilidade da ampliação do número destes Serviços. A inserção do Serviço Social é problematizada em relação as discussões correntes na profissão sobre a atuação na área da Saúde Mental e aos princípios do Código de Ética Profissional (1993) e da Lei de Regulamentação da Profissão (1993), assim como em relação aos pressupostos da Reforma Psiquiátrica Brasileira. A pesquisa qualitativa foi desenvolvida através de observação de campo, leitura de documentos e efetivação de entrevista semi-estruturada com os diversos atores institucionais: usuários e profissionais. Os achados permitem observar avanços importantes no histórico dos SRTs e sua importância enquanto dispositivos da Rede de Atenção Psicossocial, tanto do ponto de vista dos usuários quanto dos profissionais envolvidos. As dificuldades básicas a serem enfrentadas, seja em relação à autonomia dos usuários, seja quanto à ampliação do número destes dispositivos, foram relativizadas ao processo de desinstitucionalização. No que diz respeito ao Serviço Social nos SRTs do IPUB, evidenciou-se sua inserção desde a implantação dos referidos dispositivos, assim como na sua atual coordenação e assistência direta aos usuários. As atividades desenvolvidas estão afins com o compromisso ético-político contemporâneo à categoria profissional e a legislação vigente, além de ter o reconhecimento de sua importância profissional por parte dos atores envolvidos. / [en] This dissertation is the result of the study together with Therapeutic Residential Services (SRTs) of the Institute of Psychiatry of Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (IPUB/UFRJ) and the presence of Social Work in the same, with emphasis on aspects of the operation of those devices and professional performance in terms of contribution to the objectives of the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform. The research has focused on the search for deinstitutionalization and its articulation with the autonomy of users of Therapeutic Residential Services, in addition to questioning the necessity and the feasibility of increasing the number of these Services. The insertion of the Social Work is studying problems in relation to the current discussions in the profession about acting in the area of Mental Health and the principles of the Code of Professional Ethics (1993) and the Law of Regulation of the Profession (1993), as well as in relation to the assumptions of the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform. The qualitative research was developed through field observation, reading documents and execution of semistructured interviews with the various institutional actors: users and professionals. The findings make it possible to detect major advances in the history of Therapeutic Residential Services and its importance as a Psychosocial Attention Network devices, both from the point of view of users and professionals involved. The basic difficulties to be faced, whether in relation to the autonomy of users, as the extension of the number of these devices have been relativized to deinstitutionalisation process. As regards the Social Work of the Therapeutic Residential Services of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro insertion since the deployment of such devices, as well as in its current coordination and direct assistance to users. The activities are related with the ethical-political commitment to contemporary professional category and the legislation in force, in addition to the recognition of the importance of professional activity on the part of actors involved.

[pt] A presente dissertação traz uma reflexão sobre a prática do Serviço Social em sua relação com o campo da saúde mental, a partir do discurso dos assistentes sociais inseridos nos serviços de saúde mental do município de Niterói. O estudo, de cunho qualitativo, buscou conhecer como vem se desenvolvendo a prática do Serviço Social na Saúde Mental, suas especificidades, desafios e contribuição para um campo que se reconhece como interdisciplinar. Para tal, reportamo-nos para a história da profissão e sua relação com este campo de atuação, refletindo sobre os marcos teóricos do Movimento da Reforma Psiquiátrica brasileira e suas implicações na prática profissional. Com apoio na Sociologia das Profissões, procurou-se compreender o processo de profissionalização do Serviço Social, os desafios e entraves enfrentados por seus profissionais no campo em questão. A analise realizada evidencia que os profissionais entrevistados consideram que o Campo da Saúde Mental lhes exige uma atitude de maior flexibilidade para com suas intervenções, o que não deixa de ter seu preço, na medida em que implica em uma indefinição quanto à posição ocupada pela profissão no referido campo. / [en] This present dissertation brings forward a reflection about the practice of Social Service and its connection with the mental health field, taking as a starting point the speech of social workers that are involved in mental health services in the city of Niterói. This study, of quantitative purpose, has sought to know how the practice of Social Service has developed in Mental Health, its specifications, challenges and contribution to a field that is known for its interdisciplinary quality. To accomplish it, we refer back to the history of the profession and its relation with this field, reflecting on the theoretical marks of the Brazil`s Movement for Psychiatric Reform and its implications in professional practice. We have sought to understand the process of the professionalization of Social Service, the challenges and hindrances faced by their professionals in the Mental Health field with the help of the Sociology of Professions. The analysis undertaken shows that interviewed professionals consider that the Mental Health field demands a more flexible attitude in their interventions, which indicates they have to pay a price, given that it means to not have the position they occupy defined in the referred field.

[pt] Este estudo constitui-se num esforço de reflexão sobre o tema da humanização no que tange a sua relação com a prática do assistente social que atua no cenário da assistência hospitalar. Atualmente o tema da humanização vem se mostrando como um tema de grande relevância pública nas práticas de saúde no Brasil ao indicar uma necessária e premente reflexão sobre a qualidade das relações estabelecidas entre profissionais e os sujeitos que demandam cuidados de saúde. Tal reflexão situa-se no âmbito da ética, exigindo um re-pensar sobre os comportamentos de despersonalização e alheamento em relação ao outro, historicamente enraizados na cultura institucional hospitalar. Sendo o assistente social um profissional que lida na relação direta com os sujeitos no cotidiano da assistência hospitalar, o debate da humanização apresenta- se como um desafio, tendo em vista a qualidade de sua ação como expressão do seu compromisso ético com a construção de relações recíprocas, livres, democráticas, justas e solidárias. Deste modo, o entendimento da humanização da prática do assistente social que se pretende expressar neste estudo tem como fundamento a visão compreensiva da ação profissional com-os-outros como possibilidade de desvelar novas formas de ser e estar no mundo. A reflexão sobre a dimensão relacional da prática do assistente social é, deste modo, o eixo central deste estudo. Busca-se conceber a humanização da ação profissional como um processo ético- político-pedagógico que envolve a permanente construção de atitudes que possam levar ao reconhecimento das demandas do outro através do respeito à autonomia inerente a sua condição de pessoa-sujeito. O estudo apresenta uma pesquisa realizada com sete assistentes sociais que atuam num hospital público. O objetivo da investigação foi compreender os principais motivos que orientam os assistentes sociais em sua prática cotidiana quando da relação com o tema da humanização. / [en] This study is constitued in a effort refection on the theme of the humanization in what it concern your relationship with the social worker practice that acts in the scenery of the hospital assistence. Nowadays this theme becaming with great public relevance in the practices of health in Brazil. It happened when it had indicated a necessary one and prassing reflection about the quality of the established relationships among the professionals and subjects that demanded cares of helth. Such reflection location in the ambit of the ethics, demand to rethink of behaviors alienation in relation to the other, historically deep-rooted in the institutional hospitalar culture. Being the social worker, a profissional that get a direct relationship with the subjects in the daily of the hospital assistance, the humanization debats come as a challenge ,tends in view your expression quality action of your ethical commitent with the construction of reciprocal relations like freedom, democraticy, fairly and solidarity. This way the understanding of the social worker humanization practice that is needed to express in this study have the compreensive vision about the professional action as a possibility to unveil new forms of be and to be in this world. The reflection about the relational dimension of the social worker practice, is this way, the principal theme of this study. It is looked for conceive the professional action humanization as an ethical-political-pedagogic process that permanently enfold the attitude developiment that can take the recognition of wich other demands through the respect to your inherent autonomy and the condition of the subject-person. The study presents the research acconplished with seven social workers that acts at the public hospital. The principal investigation meaning was understand the principal reasons that guide the social workers in your daily practice in relation with the humanization theme.

[pt] O estudo desenvolvido teve como proposta contextualizar a experiência de uma Assistente Social em um Centro Social durante 04 anos, no bairro de Vila Isabel, Rio de Janeiro. Dentre os achados do estudo destacaram-se a valorização das relações familiares entre crianças, seus pais e demais membros adultos da família numa perspectiva dialógica. E a importância de possibilitar a convivência fraterna entre os membros da família, crianças, adolescentes, adultos e idosos, resgatando laços familiares. Por fim, foi mostrada a relevância da criação e execução de um projeto social de atendimento à criança voltado ao desenvolvimento infantil através de atividades lúdicas. / [en] The study developed had as its aim to contextualize a Social workers experience at a Social centre, during 04 years, at the district of Vila Isabel in Rio de Janeiro. Among the findings of the study it was highlighted the valorization of the family relationships between children, their parents and other adult members of the family in a dialogical perspective. And the importance of making it possible for the members of the family – children, adolescents, adults and the elderly, to fraternally live together, rescuing family bonds. Finally it was shown the relevance of creating and carrying out a social project for children’s assistance, which is directed to infantile development through ludic activities.

[pt] Esta tese tem como proposta proceder a uma análise compreensiva dos modos de caminhar a vida dos cuidadores dos idosos assistidos no Setor de Geriatria do Hospital Universitário da UFRJ. Os idosos são entendidos como aqueles com dependência total ou parcial e que por isso necessitam de cuidados. Os cuidadores são aquelas pessoas da família que ofertam cuidados a esses idosos. E, cuidado é o modo encontrado para definir dedicação, zelo, carinho, observação. O pressuposto é que esses cuidadores têm sua capacidade de cuidar diminuída por perderem o controle em função da sobrecarga de trabalho, foi apreendido que não contam com a solidariedade da família nem com o apoio do poder público na medida em que não há políticas públicas relacionadas ao cuidado domiciliar e ao cuidador familiar. O objeto é o mundo da vida dos cuidadores, e, neste, todas as circunstâncias que perpassam ou podem perpassar essa vida diante do cotidiano do cuidado, compreendido como um das tarefas mais estressantes quando circunscrito no universo das doenças do idoso, notadamente aquele que se dá em função das doenças que provocam o déficit cognitivo. Para compreender esse mundo da vida foram utilizados dois modos de obtenção de informações, a entrevista e o grupo focal. Participaram das entrevistas doze sujeitos e das reuniões sessenta e seis. Foram utilizadas questões orientadoras para as entrevistas e as sessões grupais. Aqui empregamos como método de conhecimento a pesquisa qualitativa. Utilizou-se o método compreensivo de análise, onde as narrativas forneceram a teia para se tecer a compreensão do modo de caminhar a vida desses cuidadores, modo este que precisa ser transformado para melhorar a qualidade do cuidado que é oferecido e a segurança daquele que recebe. A pesquisa revelou que a problemática que envolve os cuidadores traz novos elementos para pensar o papel dos mesmos na sociedade, mostrou que os cuidadores familiares constantemente se viram diante de múltiplos desafios, foi revelado por meio das narrativas o quanto os cuidadores são estressados, pelo acúmulo do trabalho doméstico com o cuidado, pois nunca descansam, não têm tempo para cuidar de si, estão sempre impossibilitados para um momento de lazer. A pesquisa mostrou que a ausência de instituições para acolhida às pessoas que demandam por cuidados faz com que a responsabilidade máxima incida sobre a família e, geralmente, sobre um dos seus componentes, que geralmente pertence ao sexo feminino. / [en] This thesis proposal is to undertake a comprehensive analysis of ways to walk the life of caregivers of elderly assisted the Division of Geriatric, University hospital URFJ. The elderly are understood as those with partial or total dependence and therefore they need care. Caregivers are those family numbers that offers care to these elderly people. And way care is found to define dedication, zeal, affection, observation. The assumption is that theses caregivers have reduced their ability to care for losing the affection due the heavy workload, it was learned that don’t have solidarity of the family or with the support of the public to the extent that there isn’t public policy of care related to home care and family caregivers. The object is the world of life of caregivers, and, in all the circumstances that may underlie or pervade this life before the daily care, understood as one of the most stressful when circumscribed universe of diseases in the elderly, especially those who gives depending on the diseases that cause cognitive impairment. To understand this world of life were used two ways of obtaining information, interviews and focus groups. Twelve subjects participated in the interviews and meetings sixty-six. We used guiding questions for interviews and group sessions. Here we use as a method of understanding the qualitative research. We used also the comprehensive method of analysis, where the narratives provided the web to weave the understanding of how to walk the life of caregivers, so this needs to be changed to improve the quality of care and safety that is offered it receives. The research revealed that the problems involving caregivers brings new elements to think about the role of the same society, showed that family caregivers constantly found themselves faced with multiple challenges, it was revealed through the narratives as the caregivers are stressed, the accumulation domestic work with care, because they never rest, do not have time to take care of themselves, they are always unable for a moment of pleasure. Research has shown that the absence of institutions to welcome people to demand for care makes the maximum liability focuses on the family and usually on one of its components.

[pt] O presente estudo buscou conhecer e refletir sobre o trabalho do assistente social no campo educacional, evidenciando as incidências das mudanças no mundo do trabalho na atuação desses profissionais no Núcleo de Apoio Psicossocial de Ensino Municipal de Itaboraí (Napem) Estado do Rio de Janeiro. A pesquisa realizada pauta-se nos eixos trabalho, serviço social e educação, buscando entender como esses elementos se relacionam e se apresentam na sociedade brasileira atual e no trabalho dos assistentes sociais no campo educacional, tomando o município de Itaboraí como campo de pesquisa empírica. Assim, aborda o trabalho no processo de produção capitalista dos séculos XX e XXI, situa o serviço social na divisão social e técnica do trabalho e sua legitimação na sociedade brasileira, bem como as influências das mudanças do mundo do trabalho para estes profissionais. A pesquisa de campo esteve voltada para a atuação dos assistentes sociais no Napem, onde realizam trabalho com os alunos que apresentam dificuldades de aprendizagem, evidenciando cotidiano profissional, a articulação como outras políticas públicas e o trabalho com as famílias, bem como as possibilidades de respostas para as demandas apresentadas, foram objeto de análise. Para a execução da pesquisa utilizou-se de levantamento bibliográfico, a pesquisa documental realizada na Secretaria Municipal de Educação de Itaboraí e de documentos do Napem. Outros elementos importantes que possibilitaram informações para a coleta de dados foram a observação participante e a entrevista semiestruturada com os assistentes sociais, o que permitiu relacionar os elementos teóricos com o trabalho desses profissionais no campo da educação no município estudado. / [en] This study aimed to know and reflect on the work of the social worker in the educational field, showing the impact of changes in the workplace in the performance of these professionals in Psychosocial Support Center for Municipal de Itaboraí Education (Napem) State of Rio de Janeiro . The survey is guided on track work, social work and education, seeking to understand how these elements interact and are presented in current Brazilian society and in the work of social workers in the educational field, taking the Itaboraí as empirical research field. Thus, discusses the work in the capitalist production process of XX and XXI, puts the social service in the social division and work technique and its legitimacy in Brazilian society as well as the influences of changes in the world of work for these professionals. Field research has focused on the role of social workers in Napem where do work with students who have learning difficulties, showing daily work, the articulation with other public policies and working with families as well as the possibilities for answers to the demands presented were object of analysis. For the implementation of research used is literature, documentary research conducted at the Municipal Itaboraí Education and Napem documents. Other important elements that enabled information to data collection were participant observation and semi-structured interviews with social workers, allowing relate the theoretical elements with the work of these professionals in the field of education in the city studied.

[pt] Este estudo refaz, num primeiro momento, o percurso do serviço social na justiça de família do Rio de Janeiro, desde a perspectiva normativa, que marcou o início da inserção da profissão no judiciário, até os nossos dias. Tendo como referência a prática profissional da autora no campo em análise, o resgate histórico aponta para um redirecionamento do serviço social, acompanhando as mudanças na legislação. Num segundo momento, a pesquisa focaliza as famílias que litigam na justiça, tendo como perspectiva as transformações ocorridas na organização familiar, nas últimas décadas. Ao abordar as famílias em litígio no contexto de transformações sociais mais amplas, propõe a ruptura com os padrões normativos que marcaram a prática do serviço social com famílias. O resgate da fala de pais e mães que buscam a justiça ante os impasses surgidos após processos de separação ou ruptura permite vislumbrar em que medida estes mesmos impasses refletem as transformações contemporâneas que afetam os fundamentos do laço familiar. Assim sendo, a postura normativa que marcou o serviço social cede lugar à perspectiva da garantia de direitos, que hoje caracteriza a profissão. / [en] Initiallly, this study retraces the path of Social Work in family courts in Rio de Janeiro, since the times of the normative perspective, that first marked the insertion of the profession in the Judiciary, up to the present time. Having as fieldwork the professional practice of the author, the historical acccount points to new directions for Social Work practice, in line with changes taking place in legislation. In a second step, the research focuses on families that litigate in the courts, having in perspective the changes that took place in family organization over the last decades. When approaching families in litigation in the context of broader social changes the study proposes a break-up with the normative standards that have characterized family Social Work. By capturing the speech of fathers and mothers that look for the courts in the face of impasses occurring after separation processes, the study helps to unveil to what extent these very same impasses reflect contemporary changes that affect the foundations of family ties. As such, the normative approach that has marked Social Work yields in the face of a perspective that favors the guarantee of rights that presently characterizes the profession.
