食品業在國內的發展受限於市場規模及通路的限制，一直無法能在業績上有所突破，加上近年來國際品牌大舉在國內市場推出新產品，一改以往以價格或是份量做為競爭的模式，讓產品逐漸走向特色化、精緻化。 本研究個案公司在食品業深耕數十年，對於市場的劇烈轉變需有明確的策略方向及策略執行的模式。本研究運用吳安妮(2003)所提出的策略形成系統4.7.4為策略形成系統，透過各面向的分析，為個案公司做全面性的策略診斷，最後擬定出策略主軸。 而在策略形成之後，本研究依據 Kaplan and Norton(1992)提出的平衡計分卡做為策略執行的工具，並展開策略地圖、定訂個策略議題的策略目標及未來評估的目標值。

土耳其於1952年透過北大西洋公約組織的框架與美國建立同盟關係，在這層合作關係下，土耳其內部卻存在著非常濃厚的反美主義。本研究的目的之一即了解此合作關係下為何存在反美主義情形。研究採用文獻分析法，同時蒐集美國、土耳其智庫民意研究數據，描述土耳其反美主義之變動情形，與了解土耳其對美國之認知。 本研究首先討論何謂反美主義與柔性平衡，並回顧冷戰至歐巴馬時期的土耳其-美國雙邊關係。研究發現土耳其國內在小布希與歐巴馬時期中仍有強烈反美主義之存在，且土耳其國內對威脅的認知與美國不同。本文選用伊拉克戰爭與聯合國安全理事會1929號決議為個案，說明土耳其在反美情緒下之柔性平衡。在國內層次擁有反美主義的狀態下，土國政治菁英需要回應民意需求，因此政府有誘因選擇在國際層次上柔性平衡美國，作為國內層次上民意壓力之宣洩口。將來國際間中等國家對美國的柔性平衡是否增加，甚至形成一集團平衡美國，為未來研究可關注的焦點。 / U.S.-Turkey alliance started from 1952 through the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. With this cooperative relationship, however, the existence of Anti-Americanism atmosphere in Turkey was high. One of the research purpose of this study was to realize how this partnership and Anti-American sentiment could coexist. In order to understand this condition, Document Analysis has been used to this study. Also, American and Turkish think-tanks’ public opinion researches served as a description to describe changes in Turkish Anti-Americanism and an illustration to illustrate the perceptions of Turkey. This study first discusses what are “Anti-Americanism” and “Soft Balancing”. It then reviews Turkish-American relations from the Cold War to Obama period. This study finds that in Bush and Obama years, strong Anti-American sentiment still existed in Turkey. Moreover, the two countries have very different perceptions of external threats. The Iraq War and United Nations Security Council Resolution No.1929 are case studies in this thesis. It elaborates how Turkey “soft balance” United States in the international level while strong Anti-American sentiments were intense in domestic level. The middle powers’ soft balancing strategies or the emergence of a potential Anti-U.S. alliance could be research hotspots to focus on in the future.

廠商的策略該與競爭者相似，或與競爭者不同？相似或相異都有其道理，與競爭者不同有助於發展競爭優勢以贏得市場競爭；然而與產業同儕相似可取得正當性，免於社會各界的質疑、挑戰與懲罰。策略平衡觀點主張廠商應平衡兩者，保持有點像又有點不像最有助於績效。本論文基於此，進行兩個研究試圖探討廠商該採取相似或相異的策略。研究一以大陸155個製造產業進行實證，結果發現僅有69個(44.5%)產業支持此觀點，進一步分析發現在低度競爭及多個策略群組存在的產業中，中等的相似性未必有好績效。研究二則探討當產業中存在兩群廠商，一群是既有的本地廠商，另一群是新進入市場的外商，對於急需當地社會接受(正當性)的外商而言，應與本地廠商相似，或與其他外商相似，亦或不同於兩群廠商？以大陸製造業外商的實證結果，外商在策略上應與本地廠商相似，並與其他外商維持中等程度的相似性，將最有益於績效。本論文不僅有助於策略平衡觀點知識基礎之鞏固、累積與發展，並提供了此脈理論未來的研究方向。 / Should firms behave differently from or similarly to competitors? Being distinctive helps develop competitive advantages and win competition. Being similar contributes to gaining legitimacy and protecting firms from public suspicions, challenges, and punishments. Strategic balance perspective argues that firms should take a balanced approach and maintain a moderate level of similarity to obtain better performance. Based on this perspective, this dissertation includes two studies to address some problems inhibiting the development of this stream of research. In study 1, we found that 69 of 155 (44.5%) manufacturing industries provide supportive evidence. Further analysis suggested that moderate level of similarity is not beneficial to firm performance in industries with low level of competition or with multiple strategic groups. In the second study, we focused on contexts where consist of two groups of firms, local firms and foreign firms. We examined the influences of positioning strategies for foreign firms who desperately seek local acceptance and found that foreign firms should be strategically similar to local firms and maintain moderate level of similarity to other foreign firms. This dissertation not only has contributions on consolidation, accumulation, and advancement of knowledge base of strategic balance perspective, but also has several implications for future research
