POSTS INTERTEXTUAIS: UM ESTUDO DE LINKS NOS BLOGS LUIS NASSIF ONLINE, CONVERSA AFIADA E O BISCOITO FINO E A MASSA

A digital writing was incorporated in to web journalistics practices and to our everyday surfing for digital spaces. The links became part of the websites and blogs reading. Observe how these links, as mechanisms of intertextuality, organize themselves in posts blogs concerning to their disposition, direction and function in approaching of a specific event is the aim of this research. In order to do this, we constructed a theoretical trajectory toward to the discussion of blogs as spaces of digital writing that was formed by multilinearity, dispersion and textual openness, besides the intertextuality which constitutes the digital media language. In this context, the hypertext elements that structure the messages, links and their different uses present themselves as paths of intertexts and intertextuality organizers. Our conceptual overview also discussed the relations of blog with journalism starting from the contribution of Digital Journalism in Databases for the development of dynamic products that exploit content aggregation and memory until the specificities that shape blogs like personalization and subjectivity in textual style, the network content filtering function and the critical position in relation to media. The methodology used to study the posts links was content analysis with the creation of categories based on typologies already developed and the adaptation of others. Our empirical study was composed by 26 posts of Luis Nassif Online, Conversa Afiada and O Biscoio Fino e a Massa blogs. These posts were published between 21 and 28 October 2010 and refer to an alleged aggression against the ex-candidate of presidential election, José Serra, in an event that was popularly known as bolinha de papel case. Besides other results, the links mapping showed that the most of the linked texts of the posts regarded to external materials and the predominant functions of these links were highlight the references of used contents and complement the information exposed in the posts writings. / A escrita digital incorporou-se às práticas jornalísticas da internet e ao nosso cotidiano de navegação pelos espaços digitais. Os links passaram a fazer parte da leitura de sites e blogs. Observar como esses links, enquanto mecanismos de intertextualidade, se organizam nas postagens dos blogs, em relação a sua disposição, destino e função na abordagem de um evento específico foi o objetivo deste trabalho. Para isso, construímos um percurso teórico direcionado à discussão dos blogs como espaços de escrita digital formados pelos aspectos da multilinearidade, da dispersão e abertura textual, além da intertextualidade constitutiva da linguagem dos meios digitais. Neste contexto, os elementos hipertextuais que estruturam as mensagens da escrita digital, os links e seus mais diversos usos apresentam-se como caminhos para os intertextos, como articuladores da intertextualidade. Nosso apanhado conceitual também abordou as relações dos blogs com o jornalismo a começar pela contribuição do Jornalismo Digital em Base de Dados para a elaboração de produtos mais dinâmicos que explorem a agregação de conteúdos e a memória, até as especificidades que conformam o formato blog como a personalização e a subjetividade no estilo textual, a função de filtragem de conteúdos da rede e a postura crítica em relação à mídia. A metodologia empregada para o estudo dos links das postagens foi a Análise de Conteúdo com a criação de categorias de análise baseadas em tipologias já elaboradas e com a adaptação de outras. Nosso estudo empírico foi composto de 26 postagens dos blogs Luis Nassif online, Conversa Afiada e O Biscoito Fino e a Massa, publicadas entre 21 e 28 de outubro de 2010, referentes a uma suposta agressão ao então candidato à presidência, José Serra; evento que ficou popularmente conhecido como o caso da bolinha de papel . Entre outros resultados, o mapeamento realizado mostrou que a maioria dos textos linkados nas postagens referiram materiais externos aos blogs e que as funções predominantes desses links foram de referenciar os conteúdos utilizados e complementar as informações expostas nos textos dos posts.

A partir de données qualitatives et quantitatives, cette thèse examine les stratégies d’anticipationet de réaction que les firmes peuvent mettre en place pour faire face à la désapprobation publiqueet à la stigmatisation. Les audiences externes se reposent sur des catégories organisationnellespour se repérer dans une industrie. Ces catégories sont des combinaisons d’élémentslinguistiques, symboliques et substantiels qui façonnent la manière avec laquelle les évaluationssociales – positives et négatives – sont relayées par les audiences. Ainsi, le fait d’être associé àcertaines catégories peut accroître ou décroître le niveau de désapprobation, et il en va de mêmepour les associations hybrides. Pour décroître leur niveau futur de désapprobation, les entreprisespeuvent manipuler stratégiquement les associations catégorielles utilisées par les audiences.Spécifiquement, dans l’industrie des armes, les catégories qui comptent se situent au niveau desEtats d’origine des firmes, de leur portefeuille client et de leur production industrielle. Parfois, lesstratégies d’anticipation ne suffisent pas, notamment lorsque la firme est touchée par un scandale– une forme particulièrement stigmatisante de désapprobation. Cette thèse démontre qu’en cas descandale, les firmes utilisent également des stratégies de réaction qui modifient aussi leursassociations catégorielles au niveau de l’industrie, avec l’objectif de desserrer les liens qui lesassocient au scandale, et qui associent le scandale à leurs partenaires au sein de l’industrie / Using qualitative and quantitative data, this dissertation investigates the anticipation and responsestrategies used by firms to deal with public disapproval and stigmatization. External audiencesrely on organizational categories to make sense of the industry landscape. Categories arecombinations of linguistic, symbolic, and substantive features that shape how social evaluations,positive or negative, are conveyed. Thus, association to certain categories can increase or decreasedisapproval levels, and so can category straddling. To decrease future disapproval levels, firmscan manage strategically the categories with which audiences associate them. Specifically, in theglobal arms industry, the categories that matter most are located at the home country, customer,and output levels. However, anticipation strategies are not always enough. Firms can be targetedby corporate scandal, a very stigmatizing form of disapproval. The dissertation demonstrates thatin such cases firms implement response strategies that also modify categorical associations at theindustry level, with the aim of loosening the ties that connect the targeted firm to the scandal,and the scandal to the rest of the firm’s partners in the industry. The dissertation contributes tostrategy and organization theory, especially to research streams on industry evolution,categorization, and stigmatization

Em suas repercussões no religioso, está em curso uma desacomodação das heranças religiosas, que promove a busca reflexiva de sentido, que urde trajetórias de experimentação, cujos pertencimentos parecem só fazer sentido, se por convicção. Esta mobilidade religiosa subjetiva está no entre - números. O propósito do texto é o de dialogar com um pequeno grupo de blogueiros yogins, para também deles ouvir das recomposições em curso, já que a internet pode ser compreendida como um campo de estudos do religioso em desenvolvimento, desde que a ambiência seja entendida como parte integrada à experiência quotidiana contemporânea. O estudo privilegia as narrativas e as semânticas do campo, explorando os imaginários que ali se inscrevem. Ainda, sugere os blogs enquanto blogs-tapetinhos, outros cenários para a prática yogin, já que a tradição do Yoga é compreendida de forma plástica no tempo e, portanto, em permanente recomposição a partir da idiossincrasia de cada praticante. O que ali se ensaia, talvez teça uma espécie de nomos religioso, um viés de análise a partir de Peter Berger (1985), que sugere um tapetinho textual para meditar a senda e colocá-la em diálogo com o leitor do blog. Este blogdossel pode compor uma rede afinitária que constrói marcos de localização a partir do Yoga, para dali habitar e conversar com um universo religioso plural que convida à experimentação. Neste movimento, a auto-identificação religiosa assume apenas uma tendência limite, já que se sugere estar em pacto eletrônico yogin, outro viés de análise, agora a partir de Philipe Lejeune (2008), pois aquilo que faz sentido para si deve ser confirmado, ou validado de alguma forma pelo outro, e para que esta conversação aconteça, há protocolos próprios e selagens a pactuar. / This study dialogues with the multi-referential and post-modern cultural scenario, imperative of choices and of the visibility of these. In its repercussion within the religious, a non accommodation of the religious inheritances is ongoing, which promotes a reflexive pursuit of meaning, engendering trajectories of experimentation whose affiliations seem to only make sense if by conviction. This subjective religious mobility is in the in-between-numbers. The purpose of this text is to dialogue with a small group of bloggers: yogins, to hear from them, also, about the shifts in course, now that the internet can be understood as a field in development of the study of the religious, as long as the ambience can be understood as an integrated part into the everyday contemporary experience. The study gives priority to the narratives and the semantics of the field, exploring the imaginary which is dealt there. Moreover, blogs, as mat-blogs, suggest other scenarios for practicing yogin, since the tradition of Yoga is comprised of plastic form in time and, therefore, in permanent recovery from the idiosyncrasies of each practitioner. What is there performed, maybe weaves a kind of religious nomos, a bias of analysis due to Peter Berger (1985), suggesting a textual mat to meditate the pathway and put it in dialogue with the blog reader. This dossal blog can compose a network of affinities that build landmarks of location from Yoga, to dwell there and talk to a pluralistic religious universe that invites experimentation. In this movement, the religious self-identification takes only a trend limit, since it suggests being in an electronic yogin covenant, another bias of analysis, now from Philippe Lejeune (2008), because what makes sense for one has to be confirmed, or endorsed by any means by another one, and for this conversation to happen, there are proper protocols and seals to covenant.

Politics and power relations, especially those mediated, analyzed and criticized through the use of tools that are available in the Internet, undergo transformations in this process. If we add to this discussion the changes experienced by journalism, journalism professionals and what we understand by means of communication or media, we will have new materials for an analytical and critical enterprise in the fields of Social Sciences, Political Science and Communication. This study analyzes the profile of 4 journalists who use tools of the new information and communication technologies (blogs) for the production of information, criticism against the traditional media, interaction and fostering of the political debate with Internet users, and their contribution to the construction of a new democratic and public space. The professional history of the journalists-bloggers was analyzed, and also the structure and dynamics of their blogs. Through the analysis of interviews, the researcher attempted to capture these professionals thought concerning the media, politics and new information and communication technologies. The research s contribution, in methodological terms, is in the construction of the dialog between researcher and objects of study, aiming to characterize and identify, in its manifestations, a new type of journalism and journalists, political and media players, their role and place in the relations between communication and power in the networked society / Novas formas de fazer política estão surgindo no chamado ciberespaço, espaço de comunicação mediado pela rede mundial de computadores, localizado em algum ponto dessa realização do conhecimento humano chamada Internet. A política e as relações de poder, em especial aquelas mediadas, analisadas e criticadas utilizando-se ferramentas disponíveis na Internet se transformam nesse processo. Se acrescentarmos a essa discussão as mudanças porque passam o jornalismo, os profissionais do jornalismo e o que entendemos por meios de comunicação ou mídia, teremos novos materiais para uma empreitada analítica e crítica nos campos das Ciências Sociais, Ciência Política e Comunicação. Esta pesquisa analisa o perfil de 4 jornalistas que utilizam ferramentas das novas tecnologias de informação e comunicação (blogs) para a produção de informação, crítica à mídia tradicional, interação e fomento ao debate político com internautas, e sua contribuição para a construção de um novo espaço público democrático. Foram analisadas a trajetória profissional dos jornalistas-blogueiros, a estrutura e a dinâmica de seus blogs e, através da análise de entrevistas, procurou-se capturar o pensamento desses profissionais sobre mídia, política e novas tecnologias de informação e comunicação. Since the advent of the Internet, several genres have started to circulate in the virtual world and it has become necessary to understand their characteristics. The corpus of this study is composed of seven blogs, all of them written in Portuguese. Of these blogs, 251 posts and 5,521 comments posted in the months of January, February and March of 2005, totaling 215,926 words, were analyzed. The Systemic Functional Grammar of Halliday (1985, 1994) and followers (Eggins, 1994, Thompson, 1996, among others) was used to analyze the interpersonal metafunction, so as to characterize the interaction between bloggers and the users that access their blogs, aiming at a better understanding of how this communicational exchange occurs in the virtual universe. The corpus, classified as smallmedium (from 80 to 250 thousand words), according to Corpus Linguistics (Berber Sardinha, 2004), was submitted to the software WordSmith Tools (Scott, 1998) and to the tools it offers, such as Concord and WordList, used to analyze the six items that characterize, due to the frequency with which they are employed, the texts of this virtual interaction between the participants in the digital context: (1) forms of address, (2) pronouns, (3) names/nicknames, (4) emoticons, (5) items that show affection/kindness and (6) abbreviations. Results show that the interaction between bloggers and users is established when the author posts his/her text on-line and a reader accesses it, commenting on its subject. The role assumed by the blogger, therefore, is that of informant, either to give information about his/her own life, or about any other fact or event reported in his/her blog. The user assumes the role of reader/producer, for at the same time that s/he reads the text, s/he can participate in its production. The Internet blogs that compose the corpus of this research are, therefore, texts constructed jointly by bloggers and users / O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar os elementos interpessoais presentes em blogs, bem como caracterizar a maneira como ocorre a interação entre blogueiros e usuários, uma vez que, com o advento da Internet, diversos gêneros passaram a circular no mundo virtual e torna-se necessário compreender como estes se caracterizam. O corpus de estudo compõe-se de sete blogs, todos escritos em língua portuguesa, nos quais foram analisados 251 relatos (posts) e 5.521 comentários (comments) veiculados nos meses de janeiro, fevereiro e março de 2005, totalizando 215.926 palavras. Utilizou-se a Gramática Sistêmico-Funcional de Halliday (1985, 1994) e demais seguidores (Eggins, 1994, Thompson, 1996, dentre outros) para a análise da metafunção interpessoal, de forma a caracterizar a interação entre blogueiro e os usuários que acessam seu blog, para uma maior compreensão de como ocorre essa troca comunicacional no universo virtual. O corpus de estudo, classificado como pequeno-médio (de 80 a 250 mil palavras), segundo a Lingüística de Corpus (Berber Sardinha, 2004), foi submetido ao programa computacional WordSmith Tools (Scott, 1998), e às ferramentas nele disponíveis tais como Concordanciador (Concord) e Lista de Palavras (WordList) utilizadas para analisar os seis itens que caracterizam, pela freqüência com que são empregados, os textos dessa interação virtual entre os participantes no contexto digital, quais sejam: (1) formas de tratamento, (2) pronomes, (3) nomes/nicknames, (4) emoticons, (5) itens de demonstração de afeto/carinho e (6) abreviações. Com base em tais análises, os resultados apontam que a interação entre blogueiros e usuários fica estabelecida a partir do momento em que o autor deixa seu post on-line e um leitor o acessa, comentando sobre o assunto do post. O papel assumido pelo blogueiro, portanto, é o de informante, seja para dar informações sobre sua própria vida, ou qualquer outro fato ou acontecimento relatado em seu blog. O usuário assume o papel de leitor/produtor, pois ao mesmo tempo em que lê o texto pode participar de sua produção. Os blogs veiculados na Internet que compõem o corpus desta pesquisa são, portanto, textos construídos conjuntamente pelos blogueiros e pelos usuários

La blogosphère politique américaine : démocratisation de l'Information, pouvoir de mise en agenda et de mobilisation / The US political blogosphere : democratization of information, mobilizer and agenda setter

La thèse du présent travail est que certains blogs politiques américains sont non seulement une forme de journalisme citoyen mais aussi des atouts lors d'élections. Au vu de ce qui précède nous poursuivons un triple objectif : démontrer non seulement le pouvoir de mise en agenda de la blogosphère politico-journalistique aux États-Unis mais aussi la légitimité de celle-ci comme forme de journalisme postmoderne à la lumière du travail qu'elle effectue et de ses valeurs. Il vise en outre à prouver la capacité de mobilisation de la blogosphère politique américaine en périodes électorales notamment à travers une étude du blog de campagne de Howard Dean, candidat malheureux à l'investiture démocrate pour l'élection présidentielle de 2004. Pour mener notre recherche nous avons eu recourt à trois théories : La théorie des utilisations et satisfactions qui cherche à expliquer les raisons pour lesquelles les individus consomment un média particulier et les satisfactions qu'ils en tirent. La théorie du réseau nous a permis de saisir l'organisation et le fonctionnement de la blogosphère politico-journalistique mais aussi son pouvoir de mise en agenda. La dernière théorie qui nous a aidé dans notre travail est justement la théorie de la mise en agenda. Celle-ci a montré des similarités entre les médias sociaux comme les blogs politico-journalistiques et les médias traditionnels en terme d'influence sur respectivement la couverture médiatique et les conversations interpersonnelles. / The thesis of this work is that some American political blogs are not only aform of citizen journalism but also assets during elections. We have three objectives in the present work : demonstrating not only the agenda setting power of political and current event blogs but also its legitimacy as aform ofpost modernjournalism in light of what itproduces (news staries, reports...) and its values. This thesis also aims to show the mobilizing capabilities of political blogs via an analysis of Howard Dean's cyber campaign during the 2003 democratic primaries in anticipation of the 2004 presidential campaign. To undertake this work we will resort to three theories: the uses and gratifications theory that describes the reasons whypeople are attracted to aparticular media and the satisfaction they derive from it. Network theory that explains the formation and the functioning of networks. ltproved helpful to grasp the structure of political blogs and the way they manage to sway . the work of mainstream media. Eventually Agenda setting theory made easier the analysis of mainstream media's influence on interpersonal conversations and the transposition of this mode! on the fashion with which current events and political blogs influence mainstream media's coverage.

Zero shades of green? : a qualitative study about individuals’ responses to green exposure on social media

The use of social media has increased the need of interactivity and information sharing. Individuals are sharing thoughts about different issues. Today, environmental issues have become an everyday matter for many. This matter is manifested through opinion leaders and their blogs or accounts. These opinion leaders possess an incredible power to influence others, which they in many cases take advantage of to inform their readers about topics that matters. This thesis will study how individuals respond to opinion leaders’ publications of green product exposure on social media. The purpose is to deepen the understanding and analyze possible influences related to the individuals’ responses. Green consumption habits are being highlighted as important and green products are exposed through many opinion leaders’ profiles on social media, since they often have an influence on individuals purchasing decisions. To investigate consumer responses on social media a qualitative study has been implemented. This has been done through observations and the construction of a focus group with the aim to strengthen the observational results. The results have mainly showed that individuals often respond positively to opinion leaders’ posts of green products, but their positive responses are related to the opinion leader rather than highlighting the green attributes. These results have been discussed to arisen from the individuals strive to identify themselves with opinion leaders. Furthermore, additional theory has been used to analyze the comments and explain possible influences. The conclusion of this thesis includes proposals for future research related to this topic.
