In view of this prerogative he was elaborated following two lines: a theoretical one and other practice. In the first line - besides her to look for to clear what is a plan of businesses and which your importance in an atmosphere of businesses more and more competitive and characterized by the relentless and continuous changes - it is suggested also a model and a susceptible to structure be adopted in the elaboration of this tool that can and it should be used as much as instrument for reception of resources as to support the administration process of any enterprise. The elementary desideratum of this primary line therefore it is to demonstrate that now if it is not just important to plan a business, more than this, it is necessary. A good plan of businesses appears consequently as an excellent option for those entrepreneurs, administrators and entrepreneurs that want not only to increase the chances of success of your enterprise, but still to plan this success. In the second line, that is the practice, he grows a plan of businesses of a hotel that should be installed still this year in Catalan's city, in Goi?s. It is aimed at with this I glide of businesses to demonstrate to Brasil Bank S.A. the viability technical, economical and financial of the enterprise, in order to get a financing in the order of R$ 500.000,00 (five hundred thousand real), to be invested in the construction of this hotel shimmering to assist to an unsatisfied real demand for units of lodging more appropriate to the needs of a clientele that she have been driving every time in larger number for that city goiana that is in franc development. Besides this glides of businesses it should be used as an efficient, effective and dynamics support tool to the administration of Hotel Empresarial de Catal?o.

This conflict revolved around the street shoe trade, which sought to prohibit the brotherhood. Within this context, we seek to address such a fellowship as a brotherhood of office, wich had the organizational model of the mechanical crafts of the Kingdom as a parameter, but it was so specific, as long as it were part of a slave society. On the other hand, the period in discussion is highlighted, drawing attention to the continuities and discontinuities that was contained in it. Thus, there is the commitment of these shoemakers confreres in maintaining an institution that forged a monopolistic structure to a certain sector of the retail trade, this institution which found its legitimacy as a reference an array of Iberian corporatism. Thus, referring to the values and codes of the Ancient Regime, as a commitment to dissociate his office of the slavery, or as trying to keep "black lining" and "free mulatto" under their control, defining hierarchical gradations leading into account the criterion of color. At the same time, major changes were underway in the Portuguese Empire and the city of Rio de Janeiro, whether political, administrative, social, cultural, or in the framework of ideas (the Enlightenment, liberalism). Thus, in the twenties of the nineteenth century, the council members had become more firmly against the intention of St. Crispin?s cobblers in the prohibition of the trade in footwear through the streets of the city, which points to the adaptation and dissemination of the liberal ideas within the court itself and among the elite that made up the City Council, despite the social principles in hierarchies make sense also for this social segment. To the brothers of the Brotherhood of St. Crispim and St. Crispiniano, they only had to fight within the legal and institutional mechanisms that shaped itself to new times, but still had a strong element of continuity with the values and practices of the Ancient Regime, reported by Portugal.

No. of bitstreams: 1 2016 - Joyce Mattos de Oliveira.pdf: 2259979 bytes, checksum: dca983fbb22cab52bfa67209c105ae2f (MD5) Previous issue date: 2016-03-31 / CAPES / Modern life has diminished the sleep time for the majority of the population, and the consequences of this reduction have been studied both in humans and animal models. In spite of this, only a few studies elucidate the effect sleep deprivation has on the thyroid function, as well as studies on any role exercise might have in the prevention of such alterations. The objective of this study is to assess the protective effect of the strength exercise on the thyroid function in rats that went through paradoxical sleep deprivation for 24 and 96 hours, as well as a rebound sleep for 24 hours. For this study male and female Wistar rats were used (200-250g), submitted to sleep deprivation using the modified multiple platforms, and the isometric exercise was offered by the inverted box proposed by Lac & Cavalie (1999). The animals were distributed in 6 groups: Control (C, males n=8, females = 13); Trained (T, males n=8; females n=13), Trained, with Sleep Deprivation of the paradoxical sleep for 24 and 96 hours (respectively TPSP24 e TPSP96 males n=10; females n=13); Trained with Sleep Deprivation for 24 and 96 hours, plus a rebound sleep for 24 hours (TPSP24R e TPSP96R males n=10; females n=13). All animals went through and adaptation to the strength exercise for 5 days, enduring 5 series of 30 seconds of strength with rest periods of 25 seconds between each series. After adaptation, an extra weight was added to the animal's tail. All animals were killed on the same day and their blood was collected for analysis of T3 (ng/dL), T4 (ug/dL), e TSH (ng/mL) using the radioimmunoassay technique. Ethics committee approval was granted by number UFRRJ N?003/2015. After the statistical analysis we observed a significant body weight loss, both in females and males, and a relative loss in hypophysis weight in males from group T. On the other hand, the relative weight of the adrenal was reduced in the T group of males, and increased in both the T and TP24 groups of females. In males, seric TSH levels have risen with the exercise, normalizing after the deprivation of 24 and 96 hours, and the rebound in the PS96 group. The PSP was able to induce a raise in the T3 level in the groups TP24 and TP96 in males ? no significant alterations were observed in females. As for the seric T4 in males, there was no alteration, although in females the 24 hours PSP was able to rise those values. This study indicates a protective effect by the isometric exercise, preventing TSH and seric T4 and T3 alterations induced by deprivation of the paradoxical sleep. As such more studies are necessary to clarify the mechanisms involved in such protection / A vida moderna tem diminu?do o tempo de sono da maioria da popula??o e as consequ?ncias dessa redu??o t?m sido estudadas em humanos e modelos animais.

Aiming to answer how the advisory and consulting processes are being operationalized in the training and professional practice of social workers in Rio Grande do Sul, the objective was to analyze the aspects related to the training and professional practice of social workers in the advisory and discussing challenges and possibilities. This is a qualitative study, guided by the dialectical-critical method, based on documental, bibliographical and empirical research, totalizing a sample of twenty-three (23) documents for documentary research, thirty-two (32) research productions and twenty-five (25) subjects participating in the empirical research (coordinators, teachers and students of the Bachelor's degree in Social Work). For the treatment and analysis of the data, the content analysis based on Pag?s (2006) was used. It is concluded that there are contradictions in the recognition of the importance of teaching the advisory and consulting processes now being denied, sometimes being placed in the background, during training, as well as in the way in which it is being addressed by UFAS. This reality reflects and may explain the incipient manifestation of professional practice in these processes. From the data, it is pointed out the importance of the work of social workers in these processes, and the subjects surveyed stressed the need for Social Work to reorganize itself to expand its work in these spaces, to strengthen the formation process and the materialization of the ethical- political, since these processes are in line with it. Finally, propositions are presented to contribute to overcoming the limits and materialization of the possibilities of acting in these processes.

Technological changes and outsourcing have made the market even more dynamic, requiring organizations to reinvent themselves and innovate. Business Model analysis allows companies to reflect about their current configurations, compare it with those adopted by competitors, innovate and instantiate future BMs. The Activity System (AS) perspective is an inter-relational array of activities that together build a Value Proposition. The literature review shows the absence of a systemic method for BM analysis. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to provide a method for BM analysis in AS perspective. Design Science Research was used to propose the method through the analysis of four companies, from two different sectors, with different configurations. The proposed method has three pillars: Dimension Analysis, Business Model Representation and Competitiveness Analysis. The main contribution of this research adds to the field of Business Models, through a prescriptive method for analysis using the perspective of the Activity System, relying on empirical research. Furthermore, executives of organizations and consultants can use this method as a pragmatic instrument to deepen their understanding of Business Models, instantiate future models or reinvent them. Moreover, this analysis process has a formative value to organizational strategists, since the strategic review in BM develops its capability of systemic and reflective vision.

However, little is known about the configuration of the Horse Agribusiness, particularly their contribution in generating income and jobs. Highlighting the need for studies aimed at the development of this activity and related economic sectors, since the breeding of horse in Brazil is approximately 5.8 million and 2.5 million heads in Argentina. There is a growing interest in scientific research in the production of horses. Agricultural activity in Brazil and Argentina, specifically the production of horses and their derivatives, has great relevance for the economy of both countries. Within this context, there is a chance that the knowledge of this chain is the main factor in the increase of production and generation of employment and income. Thus, this study aims to verify the asymmetries and similarities in the production of horses in southern Brazil (RS) and Argentina, analyzing the productive, health and trade aspects. This is a descriptive study, the multiple case study, which uses empirical research to investigate a contemporary phenomenon. The methodology used during this descriptive study comprised collection, tabulation and analysis of primary and secondary data, through field work and library research. The sample consisted of horses producers in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil and in Argentina, the intentional type non-probabilistic. The collected data were tabulated in a spreadsheet Excell Version 2010 and for the descriptive analyzes it was used the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS Inc. Chicago, Illinois, USA), version 15.0. To complement the statistical analyzes were performed nonparametric analyzes on the observed frequencies. The observed frequencies were evaluated in 2x2 contingency tables. Relative frequencies were compared using the chi-square (?2) test at 5% probability using the InStat statistical package. As a result, it was observed that there is a similarity in various aspects in the production and trade, whereas in the health aspects are asymmetry in certain respects. It was concluded that at the complex agribusiness horse there are several activities that resemble and other distinguished. Based on this study, regional policies could be implemented in order to develop best practices observed by optimizing the horse production in both countries.

Mobile Technology Deployment Strategies for Improving the Quality of Healthcare

Song, Won K. 01 January 2019 (has links)
Ineffective deployment of mobile technology jeopardizes healthcare quality, cost control, and access, resulting in healthcare organizations losing customers and revenue. A multiple case study was conducted to explore the strategies that chief information officers (CIOs) used for the effective deployment of mobile technology in healthcare organizations. The study population consisted of 3 healthcare CIOs and 2 healthcare information technology consultants who have experience in deploying mobile technology in a healthcare organization in the United States. The conceptual framework that grounded the study was Wallace and Iyer's health information technology value hierarchy. Data were collected using semistructured interviews and document reviews, followed by within-case and cross-case analyses for triangulation and data saturation. Key themes that emerged from data analysis included the application of disruptive technology in healthcare, ownership and management of mobile health equipment, and cybersecurity. The healthcare CIOs and consultants emphasized their concern about the lack of cybersecurity in mobile technology. CIOs were reluctant to deploy the bring-your-own-device strategy in their organizations. The implications of this study for positive social change include the potential for healthcare CIOs to emphasize the business practice of supporting healthcare providers in using secure mobile equipment deployment strategies to provide enhanced care, safety, peace of mind, convenience, and ease of access to patients while controlling costs.

The CEO/CIO Relationship Process Development: A Multiple Change Agency Perspective

Tseng, Chih-Yi 14 June 2002 (has links)
We trace the process of relationship development of the CEO¡]Chief Executive Officer¡^and CIO¡]Chief Information Officer¡^in one company in Taiwan over a 8-year period. In the process of corporation information technology makes policy and information system implementation, the both of change agency CEO and CIO can lead IT/IS project to successful or failure. Exploring the trust relationship building of process between CEO and CIO in the case, we hope provide research benefits that why or how to result in success or failure that a corporation information technology makes policy and information system implementation. In this research we use the process research model methodology that developed by Daniel Robey and Michael Newman in 1992 year and 1996 year, identify the 26 sequences events process in the AACL company¡¦s CEO/CIO for over 8 years, and define them as either encounters or episodes. We enrich and understanding the process of form of CEO/CIO trusts relationship, and other special phenomenon when an organization process information technology or information system changes. We use the change agentry for our exploring perspective, to analyze and theoretical argue the evolution of change agency¡¦s technological frames¡Bthe form of process of CEO/CIO in trust community¡Borganization¡¦s senior and junior staff in opposing phenomenon when organization changing, and how to build a model in champion or title of CEO/CIO. We conclude that the CEO and CIO, them as play a multiple change agency of role for driving organization¡¦s changing, however, the multiple change agency between CEO and CIO must go through an interact process for each other, they are sufficient building a robust trust relationship, let company¡¦s business benefits and technology benefits are really integration. This is my research why emphasize the important view that the multiple change agency CEO/CIO are need has a sufficient building robust trust relationship when organization process the information system changing.

Chief Information Officer : A business strategy resource?

Forsberg, Niclas, Wahlberg, Lars-Åke, Bengtsson, Johan January 2007 (has links)
<p>This thesis aims at describing the CIO role from the perspective of two interviews and the literature on the subject. Our research questions mainly focus on the actual work of a CIO and are answered by providing a framework on how to view the CIO and the influence of the CIO. Influence meaning both on business and IT strategy. We have answered what the CIO role implies and how it is used in different organizations. To do this we have scanned current literature and also conducted two interviews with CIO’s from completely different organizations and resources. A framework for understanding how the IT strategy and business strategy is linked with the CIO as a resource has been created and our interview findings are presented in this framework. We have also found that the CIO with little involvement in overall business strategy decisions has less influence on the IT strategy. This is ex-plained by the nature of the organization and the view of IT.</p><p>A CIO’s primary function could be to strategically align IT with business or to make sure that the IT systems runs flawless. These can be viewed as counterpoints but since the role today is changing from being operative to working more with strategic questions it is not a strange finding. The influence a CIO has in business strategy questions ranges from none to a lot, based on how the CIO role is defined by the organization. This is also well in line with the view of IT. When viewing IT as something that has the possibility to gain competitive advantage, IT gain more credibility, hence the CIO gains more influence on business strategy decisions. We also found that the CIO not only has the overall responsibility of IT in the organization, but also that s/he is supposed to work with questions of concern to the business. This forces the CIO to have an understanding of the end-customer, which in itself creates a better understanding for the business strategy. The CIO should work with questions that not only meet the current demand of the organization they support, but also future needs and potential opportunities where IT can be of specific interest.</p>
