Analysing commercials' success from a social constructivist perspective

Löbler, Helge, Maier, Markus, Markgraf, Daniel 23 January 2018 (has links)
From a social constructivist perspective (SCP) we analyse TV-commercials’ success. We address the following questions: Does the customer co-create meaning, and, more specific, is a commercial more successful if a customer plays a co-creating role? If so, both the customer and her experience, as well as the commercial, play a significant part in explaining the commercial’s success. As independent constructs to explain commercials’ success we used storytelling, indicating the commercial’s part, and experiential conclusiveness, indicating the customer’s part. We found support that the customer and seller via the commercial co-create meaning and coordinate their activities.

Value co-creating activities in micro-level healthcare : A qualitative study of value co-creation in dental care

Mattias, Hjelm, Rauws, Sven January 2018 (has links)
This research paper explores the value co-creating activities from a micro-level healthcare perspective by investigating value co-creation in dental clinics. Previous research on the subject of co-creation of value has directed its focus to higher-level healthcare with advanced illnesses, chronic diseases and complicated processes with many interactions. This research paper expands the theoretical research and provides valuable practical insight for dental clinics by adding a perspective where there is a low level of interaction. Through interviews with dentists and a focus group discussion with patients it is concluded that the co-creating activities of: cooperating, colearning, collating information, integrating networks, providing options, and designing environments, are present on the micro-level healthcare. Furthermore, contrary to existing literature, it is concluded that the co-creation is commonly instigated by the dentist rather than the patient, and that the value co-creation can also be active on a psychological level, and not solely through physical interactions and activities.

Sampling och Friktion

Kimby, Adam January 2018 (has links)
This Bachelor Thesis examines sampling as creative process in relation to friction between users and creators. The goal of this thesis is to create an understanding of the relations involved in creative processes and explore sustainable manner of working with processes. To explore creative processes, sampling is interpreted in relation to music production and the musical culture involved in shaping of worlds. Sampling is the processes of creating from what already is in a way of involving the users and creators with the past, present and future. The friction of creative processes involves an understanding of innovation and originality that questions existing principles. Sampling in relation to friction is about boundaries, how do we involve ourselves in an accountable process and what is appropriation in relation to creative engagement?

The purpose of this thesis is to understand the relation between co-criation behaviour and destination image of sustainability from the experience consumption interpretation (utilitarian/hedonic). The analytical approach followed places emphasis that when consumers participate in the construction of experience by co-creating behavior, engage in sustainable practices, which influence the assessment of the experience and therefore the destanion image of the sustainability. The theoric framework exposes that the experiences can be defined as utilitarian, which is rational result, and hedonic, that generate emotional responses, and creative touristic clusters represent destinations that develops sustainability in tourism, because there are cultural and heritage elements. In addition, it is considered as co-created the activities that include the participation of tourists at the time of delivery of the service and the image of the destination is definied by tourist at the end of touristic activity. The research is epistemologically based on the interpretive paradigm and uses the discourse analysis as the main method, in a semantic-pragmatic level. Data collection includes interviews with Olinda historical area’ consumers, considered criative touristic cluster in this study, and the direct observation during consumer interaction with Craftsmen and their handcraft, folk dance and music groups and the visits to museum in Alto da Sé. The study results indicate that consumers who played co-creating behaviors recognized more aspects related to sustainability in defining the destination image of sustainability by comparing with those who were not interested in more interaction during their consumption activities. In addition, the factors set forth in reports to define the image of sustainability were the same used in the interpretation of experience as hedonic. This leads to the thought that the engagement provided by co-creating behavior led the individual to observe the sustainability practices as an important component for the formation of their hedonic experiences, even if unconsciously.

Exploring the Potential of Crowdfunding for EV-Charging Infrastructure Development : A Strategy for Collaborative Financing of EV Charging Points in Sweden / Studie på potentialen för crowdfunding för utveckling av elbil-laddningsinfrastruktur : En strategi för samfinansiering av elbil-laddningsstationer i Sverige

Brew, Anton, Zetterberg, Olivia January 2020 (has links)
All over the world, raising concerns about energy conservation and the environmental impacts of greenhouse gas emissions has promoted the development of a sustainable mobility transition. Successful electric vehicle (EV) deployment plays a vital role in this manner but is still facing obstacles, where public charging infrastructure is one of them. Additionally, digitization is transforming and introducing new industries worldwide, contributing with new constructs to be used in the evolving transition. Simultaneously, technology is surpassing the competition, and is one of the most potent transformational force affecting customer relations in the energy sector, leading to customers anticipating more from the power utility companies. To attain a long-termsustainable competitive advantage, firms have to retain, sustain, and nurture their customer base. To do so, corporations have comprehended the value of embracing customer-centric incentives, enabling them to capture more indirect business values. Furthermore, this thesis was done in collaboration with a power utility company, referred to as ‘Org X’ or ‘the CPO’. Influenced by the reasoning above, it investigated the opportunity to create indirect business values through a demand-driven roll-out of the national charging infrastructure with the use of crowdfunding. This was achieved by adopting an exploratory methodology approach, where a mixed inductive-deductive design was used. A multi-method qualitative data collection was made; consisting mainly of semi-structured-, and unstructured interviews with experts in the field. Thus, a profound perspective of the EV-charging market landscape was attained, which enabled adequate reasoning when proposing a strategy approach for the cause. Additionally, quantitative secondary data was used to develop a tool for an initial location evaluation, that is part of the recommended approach. This tool was also used to enhance the understanding of the national EV-charging market landscape, the customer segments, as well the potential market for a co-creating platform. The findings suggest that the perceived readiness level of crowdfunding charging infrastructure varies depending on what aspect that is being accommodated. A platform that connects stakeholders is encouraged by actors in the field, but crowdfunding through solely end-users is questioned as close proximity to the end-user’s location is a key-factor regarding motivation to fund a charging point. A ‘Tier based framework’, that facilitates this transition was therefore developed and evaluated. Additionally, the framework was considered in the market analysis case study, which further included a recommended implementation and communication approach. If used accordingly, this framework could bring both indirect- and direct business values to the power utility company in question, as well as the involved stakeholders.

Chang, Yuan Li Unknown Date (has links)
After the dot com foam, the dream to the internet company of a lot of people evaporated. The internet got back to more practical facing in 2000. The value in the internet is created and does not create something out of nothing, but the value of the internet creates the structure of breaking the value chain, but goes on in a kind of form created “Co-creation". The way probed into by the case in this research, further investigate representative BBS platform of virtual community of Taiwan, and use to probe into the following three questions: --In the virtual community, how with the platform, community, and developer create value? --Is commercial community different from in-commercial community in value co-creation? --From commercialization to commercialized course, what changes does the composition of virtual community have? Discover that shows, value creation activity among the virtual communities are dependent on the common experience network; create by way of value galaxy. And because the community makes up different content, it will face the different management topic and platform demand. Suitable stepping the platform can expand the common experience network among the virtual communities; offer more opportunities that value is created. Commercialization and in-commercialization virtual community are not different on the essence that value creates, but it will influence community members in activeness degree among them that the commercialized color of community platform is passed thick. Commercialize management of community under academic norm of network, can is it operate channel of funds less to obtain. But comparatively speaking a better development environment. From commercialization to commercialized course, the transformation of the property right needs appropriate planning, in idea; there should not be change by a large margin either in the managerial style and management, otherwise cause the reorganization, even loss of community members.

Children's voices on bereavement and loss

Van Duuren, Linda Anne 30 November 2002 (has links)
In South Africa the death of a significant caregiver is a haunting possibility. Violence, crime, road accidents, HIV/AIDS, cancer, diabetes and substance abuse are household words that describe some of the causes of "untimely deaths" of parents who still have young, school-going children. These children carry their bereavement with them to school. The challenge of standing with them lies not only with their caregivers, but also with staff and children in our school community. In co-authoring conversations with children in our school who have experienced bereavement and loss, this qualitative study used research as co-search to uncover children's preferred knowledges and spiritualities about coping, hope, care and communities of concern. This study used therapy-as-research and participatory action research-as-therapy in what developed into a network of caring communities for the participants, caregivers and therapist. / Practical Theology / M. A tale of two community health facilities : exploring differences

Molefe, Nsizwa Robert Jonathan 06 1900 (has links)
This study looks at two community mental health facilities. The one setting is that of a state aided organisation, while the other is a non-government organisation (NGO). These two settings are contrasted in terms of how they conceptualise the concept 'community', their physical settings and facilities, and the activities and processes at each setting. The differences in the day-to-day operational processes, and activities according to their respective philosophies - psychiatric medical model and ecological model - are explored and captured from the participants through utilising qualitative data gathering methods such as interviews, observations and the personal experiences of the researcher. The information obtained from each participant in both settings reflect how they think, feel and behave towards their work. This information contributes to an understanding of how community mental health clinics operate. Finally the recommendations are of how work could be done differently, making them both more community orientated. / M. A.(Clinical Psychology)
