Glaser, Ulrika January 2017 (has links)
The context of this study is the ongoing change and development of vocational professions in Swedish pre-schools, the objective of which is to increase the quality of education. Amongst the different professions are the development leaders. The highly-qualified development leaders focused on in this study all work in development teams in the municipality of Malmö. The teams consist of eight professionals, each one with their own specific field of competence. The aim of this study is to contribute to increased knowledge and understanding of how certain development leaders articulate discourses on their own practice. In addition to that, I discuss how the development leaders construct their professional subject in the light of the dominant discourses. The empiric material consists of five interviews carried out with as many development leaders. As part of the interviews the development leaders were asked to visualize their ideas of the task and profession. The findings were analyzed against a theoretical framework consisting of discourse theory and post structuralism. Furthermore, a multimodal, social semiotic perspective has been used in order to understand the narratives of the verbal and visual data. The intention of combining the two semiotic resources is to present a diverse and complex material which provides multiple presentations of how the professional subject is being constructed. The results show that the development leaders construct their professional subject mainly in relation to knowledge and learning. To be accepted by the staff of the pre-schools, the development leaders construct a professional subject characterized by humility, self-distance, sense of humour, flexibility and the ability to listen. The development leaders also express that certain values, pedagogical theory and philosophy are important in constructing their professional selves. Through the subject positions taken, the development leaders participate in the construction of discourses on development leaders in Swedish pre-schools. In constructing the discourses and their professional subjects, the development leaders take part in the formations of knowledge and learning in Swedish pre-school.

No. of bitstreams: 1 arquivototal.pdf: 1415164 bytes, checksum: 2f58a213a9e7bdb669024f2f4dcca146 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2016-11-17 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / This PhD thesis analyses the process of construction of alternative musician subjects who act in the Antenor Navarro Square, located in the Historic Center of João Pessoa/PB (Brazil), through the social interactions established between them and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). We advocate that the social interactions allowed by the ICT generate a musician subject in an ongoing process of deterritorialisation and reterritorialisation, with the working capacity of making music and the political condition altered by the possibility of manipulating the music structure. Therefore, it is seen the possibility of generating a sufficiently strong tension capable of affecting more consolidated instances of music production, promotion and distribution in the Phonographic Industry, affecting them on a scale that goes from the micro relations established through the web to the more traditional relations – such as those experienced in the Square. These observations were possible through the study of artistic trajectories of five artists in the alternative culture that operate in the Historic Center of João Pessoa end who envision the cyberspace as a locus of experimentations, shared experiences, and cheap and quick means of promotion. Through the life histories of the musicians, we tried to demonstrate how they travel between the Network and Antenor Navarro Square to give vent to their political actions. They are new agents, since they negotiate culture through their music labor. They are, as well, different musicians, since they are autonomous and connected to the digital structure of their object.

[en] THE PLOT OF THE BEAST: THE DAILY CONSTRUCTION OF THE GENOCIDE OF BLACK PEOPLE IN RIO DE JANEIRO / [pt] A TRAMA DA BESTA: A CONSTRUÇÃO COTIDIANA DO GENOCÍDIO DO NEGRO NO RIO DE JANEIRO

CELSO DE MORAES VERGNE 10 February 2017 (has links)
[en] Brazilian history refers to persistent nation events, facts and proposals that evidence rejection to the black population, in spite of their incorporation as subordinate person. There are theories that could enter into conflict, but that harmonize in Brazilian cultural experience; thus there are theoretical positions that point to the elimination of negroes by mixing, which cohabit with eugenic proposals of racial purification, accepted by public personalities such as Monteiro Lobato and Roquete Pinto. In Rio de Janeiro, for instance, we have always cohabited with extermination practices that remain until the present times, especially in needy neighborhoods of the capital, in slums and at the Baixada Fluminense. However, the practice of extermination is only the extreme limit of a social rejection and of a consent to the elimination of negroes and paupers. I relate the practice of consented and refed genocide in day to day relations of inhabitants of the metropolis to the consent of elimination. Death is the final outcome of rejections lived by the negro population, often also reproducer and complaisant to these eliminations. This work, as of a bricolage analysis of the metropolis, as of scenes captured from the daily life, seeks presenting the deadlocks of daily life, between desire and affection, which constitute us as subjects, who end up supporting the practice of negro genocide in an atmosphere of supposed racial harmony.

[en] PROPOSAL RELATING TO THE PROCESS OF LEARNING MATHEMATICS THROUGHOUT THE CONSTRUCTION AND APPLICATION OF TANGRAM: FROM EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TO SCHOOL II / [pt] PROPOSTA PARA O ENSINO DA MATEMÁTICA ATRAVÉS DA CONSTRUÇÃO E APLICAÇÃO DO TANGRAM: DA EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL AO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL II

PAULA BURKARDT MOREIRA 06 October 2016 (has links)
[en] The main focus of the project consists of showing how the process of learning mathematics can be more interesting throughout Tangram, the notorious Chinese puzzle. The project was developed within three levels of education: Early Childhood Education, Elementary School I and Elementary School II, with students from public schools in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Regarding these three segments, the trigger component of this work ws the reading of one of the legends concerning the rise of the Tangram, which stimulated the curiosity of the learners and permitted an approach amongst teacher and students. In the following moment, the classmates built the Tangram, each segment distinctively, guided by the contents respecting each phase of learning. Afterwards, some activities were suggested in relation to the learning of Algebra and Geometry. The use of technological resources also operated as a facilitator for learning, evoking interest and curiosity of the students in the formation of knowledge. Furthermore, the project also looked forward to open new means for educators that through the Tangram and other games can therefore achieve enhanced outcomes in the mission of demystifying math and bring it closer to students by making it more acceptable overtime.
