Content Management on the Internet: A look at K-12 schools access to resourcesWenrich, John Richard 22 October 1998 (has links)
The Internet presents a new phenomenon to educators and students in the K-12 environment. It's ease of use and ready access to material provides an overwhelming resource for use in the K-12 classroom. This study looked at content management of Internet resources in the K-12 school environment. Content management is defined as the methods of organizing access to the information available on the Internet allowing the teacher to effectively use resources in a classroom setting. Teachers have managed the material, or content, that they present to students for over a decade. Now that resources available on the Internet are also open to K-12 students, teachers must be aware of the need to manage Internet content, just as they would do for any other content being used in their classroom.
This study looked at middle school students in 6th and 7th grades. An experimental design was used to determine if K-12 access to Internet resources provides a higher degree of results when students are presented with managed resources, or when students have open access to Internet resources.
Analysis of the results of the study show that there is a significant difference in both the amount and the quality of material that was identified by the group with managed access to Internet content. / Ph. D.

Content Management System i intranät : Open Source CMS som intranät / Content Management Systems in intranet : Usage of Open Source CMS as intranetBjörnstad Pedersen, Rune January 2008 (has links)
These system solutions vary and tend to be either more or less sophisticated, but the overall purpose remains the same; distributing the organizations information to its members.</p><p>This essay is about intranet-development, and mainly devoted to explore a concept which has grown rapidly in recent years; Content Management System (CMS). I’m particular focusing on how to choose a suitable Open Source CMS, for implementation in a small organizations intranet.</p><p>The essay is the result of vast literature studies, mainly based on scientific articles from leading experts within their field. In addition I have also carried out a survey in a company intranet, in order to investigate the users’ attitude towards their CMS-intranet.</p><p>One of the most important results of the essay is my model of a modularized CMS-intranet, partially based on Knowledge Management-theory and the importance of appropriate references in order to interpret our surroundings, and logical categorization of information.</p>

Framgångsfaktorer vid implementering av Enterprise Content Management / Success factors when implementing Enterprise Content ManagementPettersson, Emelie January 2016 (has links)
Enterprise Content Management (ECM) is a relatively new research area, which still lacks research (Alalwan & Weistroffer, 2012). There is an expressed need to know how ECM systems can be implemented effectively in organisations, and this has formulated the research question: “Which success factors can be found when implementing Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems?”. By analysing previously published literature, to identify and compile the success factors that can be found in connection with implementation of ECM systems within organisations, a qualitative research method is used. In the analysis section two tables of identified success factors are presented. These have been divided in two categories, organizational and technological success factors, which can result in a successful implementation of an ECM system. Lastly, a discussion reflects upon the findings, on the implications this study brings into light and where future research is still needed.

Rückführung von User Generated Content in LernmaterialienLorenz, Anja 12 January 2012 (has links) (PDF)

Kooperationsunterstützung in einem Learning Content Management System (LCMS)Lorenz, Anja 12 January 2012 (has links) (PDF)

Συστήματα διαχείρισης περιεχομένου και σημαντικός ιστός / Content management systems and semantic webΝάκος, Κωνσταντίνος 24 January 2012 (has links)
Currently a large number of Web sites are driven by Content Management Systems (CMS), which manage not only textual content but also structured data. On the other hand, even though Semantic Web is beginning to materialize, it is still dwarfed by the traditional Web. The convergence of the two worlds could produce significant benefits and trigger a faster spread of the Semantic Web. In the current diploma thesis, prevalent CMS semantic enrichment tools and a series of Semantic CMS are thoroughly examined. Finally, an experimental web portal is developed using CMS Drupal’s version 7, which integrates Semantic Web features in its core (such as the automatic embedding of the emergent RDFa standard in the pages created).

Autentisering med OAuth 2.0 i SiteVision : Jämförelse mellan Java Portlets och WebAppsEdin, Andreas January 2018 (has links)
The aim of this project has been to explore alternative technical solutions for making own extensions in the CMS SiteVision. The purpose of these extensions is to retrieve data from an external API (Office 365) which requires OAuth 2.0 authentication. Additional, the alternative technical solutions have been evaluated and compared. The comparisons have been made based on criteria developed through interviews with professional IT-consultants. The purpose of the project has been to contribute to more efficient digitization, integration and individualization of datasystems. Within the project, an applied example (POC) has been created to show examples of how the technology can be used. In this example, Java Portlets have been used to implement the above functionality. WebApps in SiteVision have also been studied since this technology is an alternative to Java Portlets. The survey shows that it is fully possible to create a separate extension in SiteVision that performs authentication with OAuth 2.0 and then uses it to retrieve data from an external API. The results from the comparison between the two different Java Portlets and WebApps technologies show that there are pros and cons of each technique. The alternatives studied where comparable in performance. Individual circumstances can dictate which alternative is best.

Previous issue date: 2008-09-24 / This work involves the organization and content perspectives on Enterprise Content Management (ECM) framework. The case study at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte was based on ECM model to analyse the information management provided by the three main administrative systems: The Integrated Management of Academic Activities (SIGAA), Integrated System of Inheritance, and Contracts Administration (SIPAC) and the Integrated System for Administration and Human Resources (SIGRH). A case study protocol was designed to provide greater reliability to research process. Four propositions were examined in order to reach the specific objectives of identification and evaluation of ECM components from UFRN perspective. The preliminary phase provided the guidelines for the data collection. In total, 75 individuals were interviewed. Interviews with four managers directly involved on systems design were recorded (average duration of 90 minutes). The 70 remaining individuals were approached in random way in UFRN s units, including teachers, administrative-technical employees and students. The results showed the presence of many ECM elements in the management of UFRN administrative information. The technological component with higher presence was "management of web content / collaboration". But initiatives of other components (e.g. email and document management) were found and are in continuous improvement. The assessment made use of eQual 4.0 to examine the effectiveness of applications under three factors: usability, quality of information and offered service. In general, the quality offered by the systems was very good and walk side by side with the obtained benefits of ECM strategy adoption in the context of the whole institution / Esse trabalho envolve a perspectiva de organiza??o e conte?do do modelo Enterprise Content Management (ECM).
