Illustration of Czech popular music sheet covers in the first half of the 20th century Abstract This diploma thesis focuses on the visual form of popular music sheet covers published in selected publishers in the first half of the 20th century, especially on small formats of the twenties to forties. Many Czech as well as several foreign artists influenced by various artistic tendencies took part in the artistic processing of the covers. The creation of a large part of them is closely connected with illustration, poster creation and advertising activities. Some artists have been creating covers systematically and we can find their work in several publishers, but for some this activity was only a short episode in their work. The resulting prints of music sheet covers obtained in the institutions that collect them are documented and evaluated here - especially the Music Department of the National Library and the Czech Museum of Music belonging to the National Museum in Prague. In some cases, this section also records the original illustrations stored in the Museum of Applied Arts in Prague, which were very helpful in identifying the artistic practices. Explicit polynomial bounds for Arakelov invariants of Belyi curves / Bornes polynomiales et explicites pour les invariants arakeloviens d'une courbe de Belyi

On borne explicitement la hauteur de Faltings d'une courbe sur le corps de nombres algèbriques en son degré de Belyi. Des résultats similaires sont démontré pour trois autres invariants arakeloviennes : le discriminant, l'invariant delta et l'auto-intersection de omega. Nos résultats nous permettent de borner explicitement les invariantes arakeloviennes des courbes modulaires, des courbes de Fermat et des courbes de Hurwitz. En plus, comme application, on montre que l'algorithme de Couveignes-Edixhoven-Bruin est polynomial sous l’hypothèse de Riemann pour les fonctions zeta des corps de nombres. Ceci était connu uniquement pour certains sous-groupes de congruence. Finalement, on utilise nos résultats pour démontrer une conjecture de Edixhoven, de Jong et Schepers sur la hauteur de Faltings d'un revêtement ramifié de la droite projective sur l'anneau des entiers. / We explicitly bound the Faltings height of a curve over the field of algebraic numbers in terms of the Belyi degree. Similar bounds are proven for three other Arakelov invariants: the discriminant, Faltings' delta invariant and the self-intersection of the dualizing sheaf. Our results allow us to explicitly bound these Arakelov invariants for modular curves, Hurwitz curves and Fermat curves. Moreover, as an application, we show that the Couveignes-Edixhoven-Bruin algorithmtime under the Riemann hypothesis for zeta-functions of number fields. This was known before only for certain congruence subgroups. Finally, we utilize our results to prove a conjecture of Edixhoven, de Jong and Schepers on the Faltings height of a branched cover of the projective line over the ring of integers.

Relational Structure Theory / Relationale Strukturtheorie

This thesis extends a localisation theory for finite algebras to certain classes of infinite structures. Based on ideas and constructions originally stemming from Tame Congruence Theory, algebras are studied via local restrictions of their relational counterpart (Relational Structure Theory). In this respect, first those subsets are identified that are suitable for such a localisation process, i. e. that are compatible with the relational clone structure of the counterpart of an algebra. It is then studied which properties of the global algebra can be transferred to its localisations, called neighbourhoods. Thereafter, it is discussed how this process can be reversed, leading to the concept of covers. These are collections of neighbourhoods that allow information retrieval about the global structure from knowledge about the local restrictions. Subsequently, covers are characterised in terms of a decomposition equation, and connections to categorical equivalences of algebras are explored. In the second half of the thesis, a refinement concept for covers is introduced in order to find optimal, non-refinable covers, eventually leading to practical algorithms for their determination. Finally, the text establishes further theoretical foundations, e. g. several irreducibility notions, in order to ensure existence of non-refinable covers via an intrinsic characterisation, and to prove under some conditions that they are uniquely determined in a canonical sense. At last, the applicability of the developed techniques is demonstrated using two clear expository examples. / Diese Dissertation erweitert eine Lokalisierungstheorie für endliche Algebren auf gewisse Klassen unendlicher Strukturen. Basierend auf Ideen und Konstruktionen, die ursprünglich der Tame Congruence Theory entstammen, werden Algebren über lokale Einschränkungen ihres relationalen Gegenstücks untersucht (Relationale Strukturtheorie). In diesem Zusammenhang werden zunächst diejenigen Teilmengen identifiziert, welche für einen solchen Lokalisierungsprozeß geeignet sind, d. h., die mit der Relationenklonstruktur auf dem Gegenstück einer Algebra kompatibel sind. Es wird dann untersucht, welche Eigenschaften der globalen Algebra auf ihre Lokalisierungen, genannt Umgebungen, übertragen werden können. Nachfolgend wird diskutiert, wie dieser Vorgang umgekehrt werden kann, was zum Begriff der Überdeckungen führt. La structure des représentations des algèbres de Temperley-Lieb affines sur la chaîne de spins XXZ

Ce mémoire révèle la structure des représentations des algèbres de Temperley-Lieb affines aTLN(β) sur les espaces propres CN(q,v,d) (du spin total Sz) des chaînes de spins XXZ périodiques. En particulier, on y démontre que ces représentations, introduites dans Martin/Saleur et Morin-Duchesne/Saint-Aubin, admettent toujours une structure similaire à celle des représentations de Feigin-Fuchs de l’algèbre de Virasoro Vir et que les différentes possibilités, pour la structure d’un Vir-module de Feigin-Fuchs, sont toutes réalisées par un espace propre donné. On introduit aussi une pléthore d’applications aTLN(β)-linéaires entre différents espaces propres en considérant une action naturelle de l’extension de Lusztig LUqsl2 sur les chaînes XXZ périodiques et on caractérise entièrement le noyau ainsi que l’image de ces applications à l’aide de longues suites exactes et d’une décomposition de Clebsch-Gordan généralisée. Finalement, on identifie l’image du morphisme iNd(q,v) défini par Morin-Duchesne/Saint-Aubin et on donne également une nouvelle réalisation explicite pour les couvertures projectives de la catégorie modLUqsl2. / This master’s thesis reveals the structure of the representations of the affine Temperley-Lieb algebras aTLN(β) on the eigenspaces CN(q,v,d) (of the total spin Sz) of the periodic XXZ spin chains. In particular, we show that these representations, introduced by Martin/Saleur and Morin-Duchesne/Saint-Aubin, always admit a structure akin that of the Feigin-Fuchs representations of the Virasoro Vir algebra and that the different possibilities, for the structure of a Feigin-Fuchs Vir-module, are all realized by a given eigenspace. We also give a plethora of aTLN(β)-linear maps between different eigenspaces by considering a natural action of the Lusztig extension LUqsl2 on the periodic XXZ chains and we then fully characterize the kernel and image of these morphisms by means of long exact sequences and a generalized Clebsch-Gordan decomposition. Finally, we explicitly give the image of the intertwiner iNd(q,v) defined by Morin-Duchesne/Saint-Aubin and we also introduce a new explicit realization for the projective covers in the category modLUqsl2.

Polyfunkční struktura v Brně / Multifunktional Building Brno

The topic of this diploma thesis is to revitalise of one city block and to maximise of its utilisation with combination of many different functions on this concrete area. This work is based on pre-diploma project in previous semester. This project ensures many possible functions for the inhebitants and also reflects natural differentiation between privat and public usage with impact on high quality of living space and appropriate public transport. Designed build-up area is situated betveen Veveri, Kounicova and Pekarenska streets in Brno. Patterns of this area are essential for the treatment of this project when both diagonaly and verticaly crosses whole area. Substance and space treatment reflects nearby structures and is naturally connected to it. Main substance of object is divided to three blocks via communications which crosses the area. Innerblock is sedated with green vegetation, connected to transit parter with shops and services. On the parters roof there is green walk-designed cover for inhabitants and after there are higher houses. Whole building complex is closed with rambling fractional roof covers with terraces of storeyed flats. This space structure is horizontally divided by its functions. In this project there are underground garages, shops and services, administrative spaces and space for rent and mostly flats for living. Fundamental look of the building is created by external rendering covering most of building which is connected to nearby structures. Shopping mall and separate blocks and also entrances to buildings and terraces/balcony are formed by taking off the substance by which leads to its fractionalism.

Theoretical part of this thesis deals with basic terminology and utilized valuation methods. Short locality characterization and relevant real estate market are described in the practical part. Main focus of the practical part is actual valuation of immovable property using methods described in theoretical part. After that, calculated and estimated prices are evaluated and analyzed.
