Method: The paper has been completed with the help of a document study and two complementary interviews. Theoretical perspective: Corporate Social Performance Theory, Shareholder Value Theory, Stakeholder Theory and the Triple Bottom Line Theory form the theoretical framework. Empirical result & Analyses: All clubs were engaged in some form of social and economic activities that can be considered to be CSR-related. Examples of social activities that the football clubs carry out is to visit the children's hospital, providing homework assistance for children, give lectures in schools, organize spontaneous football in disadvantaged areas, helping young people to get in touch with potential employers, visit prisons, invite refugees to football games and help people with disabilities into working life. Only two clubs (Helsingborgs IF and BK Häcken) are engaged in environmentally friendly activities. Only two clubs (Helsingborgs IF and BK Häcken) engaged in environmentally friendly activities. These activities are to improve waste management at the football stadium and clean sweat to clean drinking water. Conclusions: There are major differences in the extent of CSR work performed by the clubs. Four clubs (AIK, Djurgårdens IF, IFK Göteborg and Halmstads BK) have their own service for CSR managers. In addition to these four, five clubs (IF Elfsborg, Helsingborgs IF, BK Häcken, Malmö FF and GIF Sundsvall) have named CSR projects. These nine clubs can be considered to be in the forefront regarding CSR issues compared to the rest of the clubs.

ABSTRACT Title: Corporate Social Responsibility in Cooperative Enterprises: Folksam, Coompanion, HSB and Coop Konsum. Level: Final assignment for Bachelor’ degree in Business Administration Author: Rachel Mpambara Supervisor: Maria Fregidou-Malama Examinator: Akmal Hyder Date: 2012 - May Aim: The Aim of this study is to investigate what CSR is and how it is applied in cooperative companies such as: Folksam, Coompanion, HSB and Coop Konsum. Method: Qualitative case studies in cooperative companies were performed during this study. The research is based on interviews with six employees from the four companies. Results and Conclusions: My study shows that Coop Konsum, Folksam, HSB and Coompanion work with CSR activities to have a good image and trust from members and customers. The companies perform CSR activities such as taking responsibility for members and employees allowing them the right to participate and decide, environmental activities like making sure that suppliers follow environmental requirements, satisfy customers’ needs for example make sure that the customers get all important information they need to start their own business, get involved in ethical and social activities like no discrimination issues or helping poor people. The companies face challenges in the future but they will continue to work with CSR, to focus more on environmental and issues concerning the society. My conclusion is that CSR activities are found in the value specification of cooperatives therefore one cannot separate CSR from cooperative companies. Suggestions for Further research: The main limitation of the study is that I conducted six interviews with employees in the four companies. A deeper understanding would demand to perform more investigations, like doing interview with both employees and managers, in order to get more information in this study.

Responsabilité et engagement économique du consommateur dans l'achat de produits «Made in France » / Economic Responsibility and Commitment of Consumer in purchase of "made in France" products

Folcher, Pauline 11 December 2015 (has links)
Consumers today are constantly asked to consume responsibly ... buying products environmentally friendly or fair trade. For some time now, we even asked to favor products made in France to economically support the French manufacturers and, more generally, the country's economic health. But do consumers feel responsible and committed to the economic health of their country? If so, what is the influence on the formation of their preference for an industrial product "made in France"? Indeed despite the various surveys that say, they are willing to pay more for a domestic product, the largest gap between their intentions and actual behavior is no doubt. The purpose of this thesis will be, first, to conceptualize the consumer economic responsibility and engagement. This research also aims to identify the role of these concepts on the formation of consumer preferences for these products. For this, after an exploratory qualitative study, in vivo experiment is set up with a representative sample of 596 respondents. This research then will highlight the impact of the various components of economic responsibility of consumers (ERC) on their economic engagement, and, be joined, also, to identify the role of this commitment on the formation of preferences. But the economic dimension should not be disconnected from other societal concerns of consumers (environmental and social). We therefore analyze, too, the influence of these parallel concerns about the utility provided by the consumer to the domestic origin. Finally, the relation that the consumer with its territory will also be scrutinized, seeking to understand its role in the consumer's decision to commit to the economic health of the country.

França Júnior, Israel Batista 30 March 2017 (has links)
This paper aims at analyzing the social and economic responsibility of today's business community as an institution responsible for fostering and providing the state with the minimum resources necessary for the realization of fundamental rights in a social democratic bourgeois state responsible for a set of benefits Social relations established by the 1988 Constitution with the aim of providing a dignified life for all. For this purpose, we sought to discuss the concept of corporate social and economic responsibility based on the concept of distributive justice of John Rawls, the theoretical framework of the present study. This work is justified by the need to discuss how the compulsory social function of ownership of free enterprise and competition occurs as a way of preserving the dignity of the human person in a context where it is not accepted that the business society simply aims at profit, Because from the point of view of social responsibility, the company assumes a range of responsibilities that goes far beyond simply generating wealth for the investor and the simple duty to pay taxes. Therefore, in the first chapter we present some concepts that will contribute to the understanding of the meaning of the responsibility of the business society and its social and economic aspects in a capitalist system of liberal perspective, but with state interventionism in the economic domain. In the second chapter, we try to present different concepts of justice and how they are taken up and expanded by values that particularize each time and place. This resumption is made to situate the theory of distributive justice developed by John Rawls and his frame of references. And finally, in the third chapter, we try to make approximations of how corporate responsibilities are shaped in the perspective of Rawlsian justice, especially with respect to the possibility of demanding an action of the corporate societies within an ethical framework of a well-ordered society Which assures the State to develop various social arrangements in favor of the less favored, and it is not reasonable to require more coercively social and economic responsibility of the companies, besides what they deliberately resolve to contribute.

Corporate Social Responsibility : Ett ansvarsfullt ledarskap

Gustrin, Malin, Sljivo, Enida January 2011 (has links)
This thesis discusses the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility, which means that companies are taking a voluntary accountability towards the society with a view to improve it. Today's stakeholders and people in general have higher demands and expectations on businesses and its products or services than before. This is driving more and more companies to consider questions like voluntary responsibility so that they can maintain public confidence. Confidence towards the banking sector is particularly important to avoid financial crises. Our study focuses on leadership impact on CSR. We aim to examine whether leaders in major Swedish banks can use their leadership to influence CSR. This study is based on a qualitative research method and the deductive approach was applied. Our primary data was collected through four personal interviews with five respondents. We achieved our purpose by exploring managers'/leaders' attitudes about and interest in CSR. Thereby, we got an insight in whether leaders can create conditions for sustainable development. The four major banks that we have been studying are Handelsbanken, Nordea, SEB and Swedbank, all of them located in Halmstad. The result was analyzed based on the concepts of communication, business ethics/values and leadership. The study has demonstrated that leadership possessed by the leaders within major Swedish banks can be used to influence CSR, using three factors: communication, values and transformational leadership. This way, a leader may be able to create a solid base for CSR, increase understanding and also motivate employees' commitment and awareness of CSR.
