Každodennost v socialismu na Podblanicku / Everyday life in the period of socialism in the Podblanicko region

Lapáčková, Jana January 2013 (has links)
The topic of the thesis deals with everyday life in Podblanicko Region during the socialist era. This is a local research that tries to show the memories of rural people on the period of normalization, defined by the 70s and 80s of the 20th century, in terms of food, clothing and housing. The research deals with the strategies, tactics and improvisations of the inhabitants of this region in the period of socialism, among other things focused on the lack of required goods in shops, poor supply, searching for not very high-quality construction materials and fashionable clothes. Apart from individual expressions, it deals with community style that inherently belongs to the rural population. The era of socialism is strongly ingrained in the mind of the people who lived at that time. It is clear from many sources that before the year 1989 people in the countryside did not live just meaningless lives, remarked and emptied by a totalitarian regime. In many cases, they tried to ignore the regime or they just were not interested in it. In their everyday life they created values, which were more important to them. However, they were able to realize the values mostly only partially. In order to achieve the things they considered important, their ingenuity, strategy and tactics were essential. A life in the...

Krize a vytváření domova: Narativní výpovědi o finanční krizi na českém trhu s bydlením / Crisis and the construction of home: Narrative accounts of the Financial crisis on the Czech housing market

Samec, Tomáš January 2014 (has links)
This text deals with the Financial crises from the perspective of everyday lived experience. It presents the analysis of narrative accounts of lay people who were active on the Czech housing market during or after the Crises. Theoretically rooted in the in the framework of narrative analysis, the text widens the mainstream economical perceptions of Crises bringing the concepts of emotions, ethos and symbolic boundaries into account. On the behalf of the narratives of Crises, the narratives of the process of social construction of home proved to be significant for the narrator's identity construction and presentation. Text presents three main findings a) Crises is trope, which is used as such in the narratives b) moral evaluation, which might be coined as the bourgeois morality ethos prove their significance in the narratives c) housing choices being based both on "rational" and "irrational" factors i. e. emotions, moral evaluations. The main interpretation of the narrative accounts suggests the crucial importance of the narratives of social construction of home for the expression of being independent, capable, responsible and thus successful person. The ability to express the capability of securing what is culturally regarded as "good and ideal housing" to the family, represents ones ability to...

Každodennost žen-matek za normalizace z hlediska výchovy dětí a péče o rodinu / Daily Routine of Women/Mothers under the Normalization from the viewpoint of Child Education and Family Care

Kotasová, Eva January 2015 (has links)
The present thesis deals with the media image of women's everyday life in the socialist era. It focuses on the period of time between 1970 and 1975, i.e. on the so called early normalization. The aim of the study is to find out in what way the everyday life of the given period is interpreted by the magazine Vlasta. The main value of the analysis is that it reveals the idealistic presentation of the socialist women's way of life, and their common problems and worries. The analysis of the articles we perform is focused on family and home care, child upbringing both at home and in institutions, man's role in the family, physical and mental health, cosmetics, fashion, etc., i.e. all the aspects belonging to and forming everyday life. Through these topics, which are popular among women, the magazine discreetly created the ideal of the socialist woman. In the messages concerned with everyday life it was passing on the values, stereotypes and even ideological principles of the socialist society of that time. The main aim of the analysis is to create a complex picture of this everyday practice in Vlasta magazine. Key words Everyday life, woman, socialisms, normalization, Vlasta magazine, family care, home care, child care

Vliv akné na každodenní život žáků vybrané střední školy / The impact of acne on everyday life of students in a selected high school

Biňovcová, Anežka January 2022 (has links)
This diploma thesis entitled "The impact of acne on everyday life of students in a selected high school" is divided into two main parts. The first theoretical part is focused on the characteristics of the disease and on the impact of this disease on the quality of life of patients. There is a brief characterization of skin structure, it provides information about pathogenesis of acne and triggering factors, its clinical manifestations and clinical picture. In this part we can also find the diagnosis and treatment options for acne and an overview of other selected facial dermatoses. This part includes the effect of acne on patients' quality of life and an overview of the most common myths about acne. The second part is practically oriented. I used an online questionnaire to find out the impact of acne on everyday life of students in a selected high school. The results of my questionnaire survey show that 12 students (37,5 %) out of 32 respondents suffering from acne (100 %) reached the limit set by me, which determined whether their lives are affected by this disease or not. The first partial goal of the work was to determine the students' knowledge of this disease. I found out that the success rate (evaluated by the number of correct answers) of students in the knowledge part of the questionnaire...

Vardagliga livet under Covid-19 : Hur anpassningar till en pandemi har påverkat individer och hushåll

Högfeldt, Richard January 2020 (has links)
The purpose of this work is to review how households and individuals have adapted to today's pandemic by seeing how the everyday elements that exist have changed and where movement patterns have been re-evaluated and converted into a new form of patterns. Issues that will be highlighted are: - How has the movement pattern for the household changed from a “normal everyday” life to Covid-19? - How have households adapted to conflicts over the distribution of household space? - How has the individual adapted to the new everyday life? The essay will be based on an in-depth study of households everyday lives. Where a time-geographical approach will form the basis for the theory of work. This work will be based on three parts. The primary data will consist of time diaries and semi-structured interviews. Secondary data in the form of literature will also build up a background understanding. A description of individuals' movement patterns from the time diary will shed light on different results and a deeper understanding will be gained from the interviews that are presented. Individuals 'and households' everyday lives have changed drastically since Covid-19 started, where adaptations are a big part of how individuals design their new movement patterns in their new everyday life.

Patching Domestic Water Practices in Old Havana : A Minor Field Study / Vattenaktiviteter i hemmet  : En fältstudie om vatteninfrastrukturens påverkan i Gamla Havanna

Sukovich, Ninél January 2019 (has links)
Many citizens living in Old Havana, Cuba, do not have regular access to potable water in their homes. As a result, this thesis explores how the water infrastructure in Old Havana shapes the everyday lives of local residents. The empirical material in this study was collected during two months of minor field studies in Havana mainly through the qualitative research methods of interviews and diaries but also through observations. The results were analyzed through four main theoretical concepts: the social practice approach in technology, hydraulic citizenship, social practice theory and feminist theory. Results revealed that the local water infrastructure produces and reproduces social inequalities and domestic do-it-yourself practices. It was also revealed that women carry out most of the domestic water activities, largely due to prevailing machismo ideals and traditional gender norms. Consequently, women in Old Havana are generally more affected by water supply irregularities and malfunctioning infrastructure than men.

“Det ingick i livet” : Minnen om barndom och vardag i barnsomsorgen och omsorg om barn 1940–1950 / “It was part of life” : Childhood and everyday life in childcare and the care of children 1940–1950

Engfors, Margreth January 2022 (has links)
The purpose of the study has been to investigate how older people look back on their childhood and everyday life in childcare 1940–1950. Through oral history as the theory of choice, the memories and stories that have been collected through a survey and text discussion from 16 people via a forum on the internet has been analyzed. The results show that informants in their answers separated between formal and informal childcare. I have chosen to call the former childcare and the latter care of child. This contributes to an understanding of the different spheres children could move between and the resources available to families. The memories also described experiences about certain actors and the senses that appear to be important in everyday life, as well as the conditions and views of children that can be discerned in their childhoods. The collected stories give a personal touch and highlight everyday details that are sometimes missing in historical writings about Swedish childcare.

Geografilärares ämnesförståelse : Ämnesdidaktiska berättelser som reflektionsarena skapar kunskap om skolans geografi / Geography teachers' subject-specific understanding : Subject didactic stories as an arena for reflection creates knowledge about school geography

Magnusson, Patrik January 2023 (has links)
