Une analyse de l’emploi et du salaire des diplômés universitaires en Chine à leur entrée sur le marché de travail

Ce mémoire a pour objectif de comprendre la situation de l’emploi et le salaire pour les diplômés universitaires en Chine à l’entrée du marché de travail pendant les dernières années. Après la revue de littérature, nous avons supposé trois hypothèses sur la compétence personnelle basée sur la théorie du capital humain. Dans cette recherche, les données retenues proviennent de deux sources : (1) les canaux officiels, y inclus les rapports diffusés et les statistiques publiées par le ministère de l’Éducation ou le Bureau national des Statistiques en Chine. (2) les canaux non gouvernementaux, soit les institutions d’enquêtes indépendantes et les organisations académiques en Chine. Nos résultats d’observation nous permettent de constater que les diplômés chinois sont exposés à une vive concurrence dans un marché où l’offre de travail y est excédentaire. Les caractéristiques personnelles, la qualité de l’enseignement, le niveau de scolarité et la discipline d’étude, peuvent affecter dans une certaine mesure l’emploi et le salaire de départ. Finalement, nous concluons ce mémoire avec des propositions de pistes de solution aux caractéristiques chinoises qui visent à réduire la difficulté d’emplois des diplômés. / The objective of current study is to understand the situation of employment and the entrance level salary for graduates in China of recent years. According to the literature review, we assumed three hypotheses regarding individual competence based on the theory of human capital. The data in this research came from two sources: (1) the official channels, including reports and statistics published by the Ministry of Education or the National Statistics Bureau in China. (2) non-governmental channels, including investigation and research work by the institutions independent in China. Our analysis showed that Chinese graduates were exposed in a oversupply labor market. However, some personal character in academic background, such as the teaching quality, education level and study subject, may have an impact on employment and entrance level salary to some degree. In the end we draw a conclusion with Chinese-style solution, which aims at reducing the problem of unemployment.

New assessment methods in business studies in the FET phase

Thesis (M. Ed. (Didatics)) / Assessment methods in Business Studies in the FET phase have had to change as a result of the implementation of OBE and the NSC in South Africa. In order to analyse how this has affected the education of learners, a case study, based on the IEB was analysed. Under the supervision of Umalusi, the IEB has developed new moderation systems in order to quality assure SBA (School Based Assessment), represented by learners’ portfolios which constitute 25% of the final promotion mark for the NSC. The guidelines and documentation for these moderation requirements are contained in the IEB Business Studies SAG (Subject Assessment Guidelines). This document forms the basis of the case study.The IEB, however, does not work in isolation and through their partnership with the DoE the experience gained through implementing new assessment methods in Business Studies as described in this study can be adapted for other subjects or schools in the public sector.

Dans un contexte de concurrence exacerbée pour les meilleurs jeunes diplômés du marché, les Graduate Programmes (GP) s’imposent progressivement au niveau international comme le modèle de référence dans la gestion de ces populations. Or, ces programmes de recrutement, d'intégration, de formation et de développement semblent négligés par la recherche en sciences de gestion. Pour combler cette lacune, nous mobilisons dans cette thèse le courant de la Stratégie comme Pratique (SCP) afin d’explorer en détail la dynamique de mise en place d’un tel programme dans une banque de financement de d’investissement française.Plus concrètement, nous étudions le contexte d’émergence de ce programme et les praxis et activités quotidiennes entreprises par les praticiens RH pour élaborer et déployer ces dispositifs. Nous explorons de même les pratiques qui constituent un GP du point de vue de la SCP et les apports, limites et conditions propices à un tel programme. Ce faisant, nous dressons un portrait approfondi d’un concept incontournable dans la gestion contemporaine des jeunes diplômés. Plus généralement, nous revendiquons l'intérêt d'accorder une place centrale à la SCP dans la compréhension de l’activité RH des organisations. / In the current context of extreme competition for the best young Graduates available on the market, Graduate Programmes (GP) are becoming the model of reference in the management of this population at an international level. However, these recruitment, integration, training and development programmes seem overlooked by management research. We mobilize here the strategy-as-practice (SAP) approach to explore in detail the dynamics of implementation of such a programme in a French corporate and investment bank.More concretely, we study the context of emergence of this programme and the day-to-day praxis and activities of HR practitioners in the design and implementation of this programme. We also explore the practices that constitute a GP from the SAP perspective and the benefits, limits and suitable conditions for such a programme. Doing that, we propose a sound portrayal of a key concept in Graduate management nowadays. We therefore claim the importance to be given to SAP in the study of corporate HR activities in the coming years.

Adaptace absolventů sociální pedagogiky na trhu práce / Adaptation of Social Pedagogy Graduates to the Labor Market

This diploma thesis focused on the situation of Social pedagogy graduates in the labor market. It has a theoretical-empirical character. The theoretical part focus on Social pedagogy as a science and its contemporary position within the Czech legislation. Further it lists study possibilities of Social pedagogy in the Czech Republic, defines the possible scope of social educators and deals with the topic of graduates' adaptation to the labor market in general. The empirical part is devoted to research with seven respondents. The method used in this thesis is in-depth interviews. The research identifies challenges the graduates were facing while finding a job and while performing their profession, what made the adaptation proces easier and vice versa more difficult. The research showed that despite no legal definition of social pedagogy as a profession, graduates had no problems to find a job. However, the perceived difficulty for them, for example, was an inaccurate idea of using the gained experience. Respondents also made recommendations to current social pedagogy students. Most often mentioned was a recommendation to find own specialization in the social pedagogy while still studying.

An integrated communication strategy as an enabling tool for increasing graduate employment potential

Text in English / In its proposal of a communication strategy that will be of use as an enabling tool for increasing graduate employment potential, this study contributes uniquely to the discipline of communication. It envisages that communication takes into consideration the involvement of the key stakeholders, namely: government, labour market, education system, and media. Amid unemployment challenges that affect the majority of the population, media is regarded as a powerful tool to reach the majority of the population. With specific regard to graduate unemployment, media-driven interaction with unemployed graduates is not as efficient as it should be. Factors contributing to graduate unemployment are identified as career choices, skills shortage, job opportunities, career development, work experience, skills development, entrepreneurial skills, internships, and access to the labour market. It is also important to note that media is regarded as tool for disseminating information about such factors. In order to address this problem, the study establishes an integrated communication strategy that will be of use as an enabling tool for increasing the potential of graduate employment. The role of such communication could be applicable in various ways, such as organisational communication, business communication, public communication, personal communication, interpersonal communication, etc. This study locates itself in the domain of public communication because information about unemployment issues is a matter of public concern. This study adopts mixed research methodologies, with a survey research design—in order to gather data from the graduate students at a University of Technology. The study found that while social and print media are highly preferred and used due to their accessibility, there is a need to stress their use with regard to employment search. The main concepts that contributed to the establishment of the strategy included strategic communication, unemployment and media. It must be here noted that, for purposes of this study, strategic communication was informed by a confluence of the constitutive model of communication, systems theory, and situational theory of publics. The phenomenon of unemployment is informed by unemployment approaches, on the one hand, and the Maslow theory of needs, on the other. Furthermore, the understanding of the concept of media is informed by mass communication approaches and media richness theory. This thesis expects that, as an outcome, such a communication strategy would increase graduate employment potential. Der italienische Mezzogiorno auf dem Weg in die europäische Wissensgesellschaft

Der Übergang Europas in die Wissensgesellschaft ist durch die massive Ausbreitung wissenschaftlichen Wissens und dessen Eindringen in den ökonomischen Produktionsprozess gekennzeichnet. Für die Teilnahme von Regionen an der Wissensgesellschaft ist die Ausbildung junger Akademiker und deren Integration in den regionalen Arbeitsmarkt von entscheidender Bedeutung. In dieser Perspektive wird in der vorliegenden Arbeit die Erwerbssituation und die regionale Mobilität italienischer Hochschulabsolventen aus dem Mezzogiorno betrachtet. Die Untersuchung erfolgt anhand von zwei methodischen Ansätzen. Im ersten empirischen Teil wird umfangreiches Datenmaterial, u.a. die Hochschulabsolventenbefragung des italienischen Statistikamts, ausgewertet. Hierbei zeigt sich, dass der italienische Mezzogiorno trotz vergleichsweise niedriger Absolventenzahlen von einer extremen Jungakademikerarbeitslosigkeit gekennzeichnet ist: Zudem verlassen viele junge Süditaliener vor Studienbeginn oder nach Studienende ihre Heimat, um in Nord- oder Mittelitalien eine Arbeit zu finden, so dass von einem regelrechten Brain drain gesprochen werden kann. Im zweiten empirischen Teil der Arbeit werden in einer hermeneutischen Perspektive sowohl die Erwerbssituation als auch die Mobilitätsbereitschaft von Hochschulabsolventen in Sizilien untersucht. Mit Hilfe von biographisch orientierten, themenzentrierten qualitativen Interviews wird der Versuch unternommen, die Handlungsrationalitäten zu verstehen, die sich hinter den hohen Arbeitslosenzahlen verbergen. Es wird gezeigt, dass die sozialen, kulturellen und institutionellen Rahmenbedingungen die Entstehung komplexer Aktivitätsnetze begünstigen, die den Verbleib in Sizilien auch bei einer unbefriedigenden Erwerbssituation ermöglichen und zu einem permanenten Hinausschieben der Wanderungsentscheidung beitragen. Für die regionale Entwicklung Siziliens, wie auch der übrigen Regionen des Mezzogiorno, kann sich aber gerade der Verbleib junger Hochschulabsolventen in der Unterbeschäftigung als Standortvorteil für wissensorientierte Unternehmen und somit als Entwicklungspotential erweisen. / Europe''s transition towards the Knowledge Society is characterised by major advances in scientific knowledge and its infiltration of the economic production process. To fulfil their role in the Knowledge Society, regions must ensure that young academics can be educated and integrated into the regional labour market. In this perspective the book analyses the employment situation and the regional mobility of young academics in the Italian Mezzogiorno using two different empirical approaches. The first part of this paper investigates the employment situation and regional mobility of young Italian academics using data sources provided by the Italian statistical office, Istat. Despite its comparatively small academic population, the Italian Mezzogiorno is marked by extremely high unemployment levels among young academics. Furthermore, a large number of young Italians from the South leave their home region before starting university or after graduation in order to find jobs in Northern or Central Italy. The second section of this paper draws on empirical evidence to analyse the employment outlook and high level of emigration among young Sicilian graduates from a hermeneutic perspective. With the help of biographical, problem-oriented qualitative interviews, the author attempts to understand the culturally embedded rationalities that inform statistical evidence. Sicily''s social, cultural and institutional framework is shown to promote the growth of highly complex networks of activity that encourage young unemployed graduates to remain in unsatisfactory work environments and constantly postpone their decision to migrate. On a more positive note, the continued presence of young underemployed university graduates may be considered beneficial to the regional development of Sicily, as well as other parts of the Mezzogiorno, if interpreted as a regional advantage for knowledge-intensive industries in their search for new locations.

In a complementary sense, the objective was to understand importance conferred by graduates in higher education and participation in ProUni of former scholarship holders in relation to the improvement of their lives, as well as a more specific look at those with families benefited by Bolsa Fam?lia Program (PBF). The survey is based on the answers provided by 274 graduate students who answered the questionnaire provided in Google Docs. Among the conclusions of the research, personal efforts to overcome the situation of social and economic vulnerability through the academic trajectory were highlighted, that by the references consulted allows us to think of novelty when using this reference of PBF in conjunction with the ProUni. Encouraged by an affirmative public policy, the graduates exposed the importance of programs designed to break the cycle of misery. The study showed the personal, professional and social evolution acquired by the members of the group that, in the face of difficulties, multiplied the results of their trajectories in a positive way, an occurrence not always observed in their parents. It was observed in the PBF group, with greater vulnerability, the perception of greater percentage participation of blacks and browns, groups with more social difficulties. In these groups, the difficulties of job placement in formal activities were greater, which values personal results in obtaining a better economic situation. The graduates of the PBF dedicated themselves to the degrees in a greater percentage than the group ProUni only, multiplying the transformations conquered with the teaching work. Also the courses chosen by the graduates in higher education were coherent with the chosen professional paths, where vocation was prioritized before social legitimation through graduation. The desired social and economic evolution occurred naturally after academic development. The satisfaction of the graduates PBF was also higher than that of the graduates only ProUni. Even with greater difficulties to overcome and lower initial life conditions, the group of PBF beneficiaries showed greater satisfaction and achievement of their objectives. This text aims to contribute to the understanding of the importance of programs that facilitate the insertion of individuals in higher education to break the intergenerational cycle of misery and raise the economically vulnerable population to better social levels. / Esta pesquisa analisou a situa??o de ex-bolsistas do Programa Universidade para Todos (ProUni) do Governo Federal brasileiro que frequentaram curso de educa??o superior em uma Universidade do interior do Estado de S?o Paulo, graduados a partir do ano de 2008 at? o ano de 2016. Em sentido complementar, objetivou compreender a import?ncia conferida ? gradua??o na educa??o superior e ? participa??o no ProUni dos ex-bolsistas em rela??o ? melhoria ou n?o de suas vidas, bem como um olhar mais espec?fico para aqueles com fam?lias beneficiadas pelo Programa Bolsa Fam?lia (PBF). A pesquisa est? baseada nas respostas disponibilizadas por 274 alunos graduados que responderam ao question?rio disponibilizado no Google Docs. Entre as conclus?es da pesquisa destacou-se os esfor?os pessoais para a supera??o da situa??o de vulnerabilidade social e econ?mica por meio da trajet?ria acad?mica, que pelas refer?ncias consultadas nos permite pensar em ineditismo ao utilizarmos o referencial dos benefici?rios do PBF em conjunto com o do ProUni. Incentivados por uma pol?tica p?blica afirmativa, os egressos expuseram a import?ncia dos programas destinados a quebra do ciclo da mis?ria. Mostrou-se no estudo a evolu??o pessoal, profissional e social obtida pelos integrantes do grupo pesquisado que, diante das dificuldades, multiplicaram os resultados de suas trajet?rias de forma positiva, ocorr?ncia nem sempre observada em seus progenitores. Notou-se no grupo do PBF, com maior vulnerabilidade, a percep??o de maior participa??o percentual de negros e pardos, grupos com mais dificuldades sociais. Nestes grupos as dificuldades de coloca??o laboral em atividades formais foram maiores, o que valoriza os resultados pessoais na obten??o de melhor situa??o econ?mica. Os egressos do PBF dedicaram-se ?s licenciaturas em percentual maior do que o grupo somente ProUni, multiplicando as transforma??es conquistadas com o trabalho docente. Tamb?m os cursos escolhidos pelos egressos na educa??o superior se mostraram coerentes com os rumos profissionais escolhidos, onde se priorizou a voca??o antes da legitima??o social por meio da gradua??o. A desejada evolu??o social e econ?mica ocorreu naturalmente ap?s o desenvolvimento acad?mico. A satisfa??o dos egressos PBF tamb?m foi maior que dos egressos apenas ProUni. Mesmo com maiores dificuldades a serem superadas e condi??es de vidas iniciais menos favorecidas, o grupo de benefici?rios PBF mostrou maior satisfa??o e realiza??o de seus objetivos. It aims to characterize, according to the socioeconomic and cultural origin, the graduated students of the Course in Pedagogy from a private Higher Education Institute which achieved low ranking in ENADE and also in the Institutional Evaluation of MEC. This institute is located in a city nearby São Paulo. It aims to identify where these students coming from this institute work as well. It also examines, through the offered wage weather there is a relation between the professional performance, their training and the prestige of the institute. The hypothesis was defined as: teacher education graduates from private institute with low classification is incomplete, due to the curriculum structured to speed up the course of Pedagogy, so the professional performance of these people becomes uncertain. For this purpose, we investigated the graduated students in Pedagogy from a private Higher Education Institute located in a city near São Paulo . As a methodological procedure, questionnaires were applied with semi structured questions to the graduated students in Pedagogy, graduated between 2007 and 2010. In the data analyses it was used concepts of capital cultural, social, economic and educational advocated by Pierre Bourdieu. It was found that the diploma gotten in the Pedagogy course of Higher Education Institute with low ranking, coming from popular classes failed to secure a social or economic rise in relation to the other social classes . But among its members (spouse, family), the cultural capital and the school history of these people has been expanded, creating a symbolic value to the diploma / O presente estudo é resultado de um trabalho preliminar de pesquisa realizada no decorrer de 2010. Tem como objetivo caracterizar, segundo a origem socioeconômica e cultural, os egressos do curso de pedagogia de uma Instituição de Ensino Superior (IES) privada de baixa classificação no ENADE e na avaliação institucional do MEC. Essa IES localiza-se em uma cidade próxima a São Paulo. Busca ainda identificar onde trabalham os estudantes oriundos desta Instituição. Analisa também, via salário oferecido, se há relação entre a atuação profissional dos egressos, sua formação e prestígio da instituição. A hipótese foi assim definida: a formação dos professores egressos dos cursos de Pedagogia das IES privadas com baixa classificação é incompleta, devido à grade curricular estruturada de forma a acelerar o curso de Pedagogia; portanto, a atuação profissional desses sujeitos torna-se insegura. Para tanto, foram investigados egressos do curso de Pedagogia de uma IES privada localizada em uma cidade próxima a São Paulo. Como procedimento metodológico foram entregues questionários com perguntas semiestruturadas aos egressos do curso de Pedagogia, formados entre 2007 e 2010. Na análise dos dados empregaram-se os conceitos de capital cultural, social, econômico e escolar defendidos por Pierre Bourdieu. Verificou-se que o diploma obtido no curso de Pedagogia dos egressos da IES privada com baixa classificação, oriundos de classes populares, não garantiu uma ascensão social ou econômica perante os demais grupos sociais. Porém, entre os seus (cônjuge, família), o capital cultural e a trajetória escolar desses sujeitos foi ampliado, gerando um valor simbólico ao diploma

We sought to verify how the social and scholastic trajectory of these graduates occurred, the choice of the course undertaken, Business Administration. This course made possible their professional and social insertion? For that, the social and school trajectory of five graduates belonging to the Business Administration course of the years 2010 to 2014 was verified and analyzed, being this the focus of the research. The research procedure to achieve this focus was the interview. The purpose of the analysis was to verify if the course of Business Administration really brought the contribution sought by these graduates, enabling social, professional and economic success. The objectives of this research were to characterize the subjects regarding their socioeconomic conditions, to investigate the social and educational trajectory of five graduates from the years 2010 to 2014 of the conclusion of the Business Administration course of the higher education institution Zumbi dos Palmares, and the reasons that led them to choose this course and this private institution and to verify from the perspective of the five graduates, if the course of Business Administration contributed to achieve professional, social and economic success. The authors employed in the work are Bourdieu and Lahire, and their remarkable concepts: cultural capital, social capital, social space and family configurations, respectively. In addition to them the concepts of Munanga, race, racism and racial prejudice. The five interviews answered the problem and the proposed objectives. Finally, the survey indicates that the five interviewees admitted that graduation in the Business Administration course contributed to their achieving a certain social ascension. On the other hand, it proves the idea that these graduates did not have the socioeconomic conditions to enter another course, because they were black, because they did not attend the best schools in basic education, therefore they did not have free choice of courses in Higher Education. These conditions lead them to attend the course of Business Administration, known as the course that quickly places the subjects in the job market / Este trabalho de investigação tratou de verificar a trajetória social e escolar de cinco negros egressos do ensino superior da Universidade Zumbi dos Palmares, especificamente do curso de Administração de Empresas. Buscamos verificar como ocorreu a trajetória social e escolar desses egressos, a escolha do curso realizado, Administração de Empresas. Este curso possibilitou sua inserção profissional e social? Para tanto, foi verificado e analisado a trajetória social e escolar de cinco egressos pertencentes ao curso superior de Administração de Empresas dos anos de 2010 a 2014, sendo este o foco da pesquisa. O procedimento de pesquisa para atingir esse foco foi a entrevista. Pretendeu-se com a análise verificar se realmente o curso de Administração de Empresas trouxe a contribuição almejada por estes egressos, possibilitando sucesso social, profissional e econômico. Os objetivos desta pesquisa foram os de caracterizar os sujeitos quanto as suas condições socioeconômicas, investigar a trajetória social e escolar de cinco egressos pertencentes aos anos de 2010 a 2014 de conclusão do curso de Administração de Empresas da Instituição de ensino superior Zumbi dos Palmares, e as razões que os levaram a escolher esse curso e essa instituição privada e verificar na perspectiva dos cinco egressos, se o curso de Administração de Empresas contribuiu para alcançarem sucesso profissional, social e econômico. Os autores empregados no trabalho são Bourdieu e Lahire, e seus notáveis conceitos: capital cultural, capital social, espaço social e configurações familiares, respectivamente. Além deles os conceitos de Munanga, raça, racismo e preconceito racial. As cinco entrevistas realizadas responderam ao problema e aos objetivos propostos. Por último, a pesquisa indica que os cinco entrevistados admitiram que a graduação no curso de Administração de Empresas contribuiu para que alcançassem certa ascensão social. Por outro lado, comprova a idéia de que estes egressos não tiveram condições socioeconômicas para adentrar em outro curso, por serem negros, por não terem freqüentado as melhores escolas na educação básica, portanto não tiveram livre escolha de cursos no Ensino Superior. Essas condições leva-os a freqüentar o curso de Administração de Empresas, conhecido como o curso que rapidamente coloca os sujeitos no mercado de trabalho
