Evaluering van 'n bestuursopleidingskursus

De Jager, Willem 11 1900 (has links)
A management training course was' evaluated for effectiveness by using two specially compiled in-basket exercises equivalent in complexity. Outcome evaluation was performed so as to determine whether learning transfer took place, ie whether management skills in the application of the management dimensions planning, organising and control do manifest in the work context afterwards. Significant differences were found between the experimental group and the control group in the application of the management dimensions planning, organising and control. These differences were investigated by means of the "Univariate procedure ... A management training course can therefore be effectively measured with the behaviour assessment approach by using two groups, where only one group is exposed to a management training course. It can thus be ascertained whether a change in management behaviour has taken place as a result of learning transfer. / Industrial and Organisational Psychology / M.Com. Dopady zníženia sadzby DPH na vybrané potraviny na Slovensku v roku 2016 / Impacts of 2016 VAT cut on selected groceries in Slovakia

Tóth, Michal January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze the impact of the reduction of VAT on selected groceries in Slovakia in 2016. I am comparing the composition of the consumer basket and shopping lists of end-consumers before this legislative amendment and thereafter and consumer preferences, on which products they would like to have reduced VAT rate. Then I am also analysing the impact on the consumer prices of groceries with recured tax rate and on the groceries, which composition is similar, but they are encumbered with standard tax rate. The comparative analysis has shown that the tax reduction is reflected in the final price of approximately 96 %. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics and the system of value added tax, historical development in Slovak law and impacts of the tax rate cut abroad. Conclusion interprets the results of comparative analysis and questionnaire.

Durkáč, Ondřej January 2015 (has links)
Senior policy of the state is largely focused on the active life of seniors (eg national strategy to support positive aging for the period 2013-2017 ). From this pont of view is generally expected to stay seniors longer in their natural environment and any subsequent use of social and health services, residential care homes for the elderly. Another phenomenon is the senior policy burden on the state budget in raising funds for the payment of pensions. One means of this policy mainly at regional level is to support seniors through discounts and other advantages Senior Pas project. The author draws a comparison of the consumer basket of the general population in the age structure from 55 years and above users Pas Senior Discount Network , which is primarily intended to support active living. The theoretical part focuses on the description and benefits, deficiencies discount networks in general and the discount network designed primarily for seniors. Thesis will also undertake an excursion to the neighboring countries, especially Austria and Germany, this excursion could give a number of inspiring suggestions in monitoring the functioning of these networks. In the practical part, thesis will devote particular network Senior Discount waist and through a questionnaire survey of members of the network. Thesis will be noticing all the available factors affecting the selection and use of discount networks in relation to age, place of residence, gender and other attributes/parameters. Thesis will help to answer the question whether discount network tends to increase the active life of seniors primarily or secondarily through capital cost savings for common services and goods. Author of acquired knowledge and experience will provide recommendations for fulfilling the mission and good functionality of discount network Senior Pas.

Future grocery : A study of the e-commerce grocery basket business in Sweden

Fallgren, Karl, Sundborg, Håkan January 2013 (has links)
The era of the Internet has become increasingly important in our daily life. Internet channels are rapidly growing into sophisticated businesses. This thesis purpose is therefore to conduct an initial study on a newly approaching e-commerce business, namely the grocery basket business. As there has not yet been much research in this field the overall aim is to contribute to the research in this business area. There are many who argue that in relation to the Internet and e-commerce fields there are two other important fields: business model and supply chain. A qualitative approach is used, based on triangulation methodology including a multiple case study and a survey. The cases are two different types of e-commerce companies: brick-and-clicks and pure-players. An empirical investigation covering twenty interviews and a questionnaire with one thousand respondents has been conducted. Findings supported by the interviews and the questionnaire reveal much knowledge about the grocery basket business. This are analyzed in relation to literature of business model and supply chain and according to the two cases of companies in the business. The study concludes that there is a great deal of challenges facing the grocery basket business in both fields of business model and supply chain. In both cases it is a challenge to retain customers, flexibility for customers, competition and supply chain development. Regarding brick-and-clicks a major challenge is to make their physical channel and online channel work together. Regarding pure-players a major challenge is their dependency of wholesalers. In addition, recommendations to these acknowledged challenges are benchmarking on other successful grocery companies and/or other successful e-commerce companies. Additional recommendation for pure-players is that they should cooperate with a brick-and-mortar company. Finally, the study shows some decent potential in the business to reduce emissions. This by providing eco-friendly products with pre planned recipes to fit with the products, and having fewer products in stock.

Pricing a basket option when volatility is capped using affinejump-diffusion models

Krebs, Daniel January 2013 (has links)
This thesis considers the price and characteristics of an exotic option called the Volatility-Cap-Target-Level(VCTL) option. The payoff function is a simple European option style but the underlying value is a dynamic portfolio which is comprised of two components: A risky asset and a non-risky asset. The non-risky asset is a bond and the risky asset can be a fund or an index related to any asset category such as equities, commodities, real estate, etc. The main purpose of using a dynamic portfolio is to keep the realized volatility of the portfolio under control and preferably below a certain maximum level, denoted as the Volatility-Cap-Target-Level (VCTL). This is attained by a variable allocation between the risky asset and the non-risky asset during the maturity of the VCTL-option. The allocation is reviewed and if necessary adjusted every 15th day. Adjustment depends entirely upon the realized historical volatility of the risky asset. Moreover, it is assumed that the risky asset is governed by a certain group of stochastic differential equations called affine jump-diffusion models. All models will be calibrated using out-of-the money European call options based on the Deutsche-Aktien-Index(DAX). The numerical implementation of the portfolio diffusions and the use of Monte Carlo methods will result in different VCTL-option prices. Thus, to price a nonstandard product and to comply with good risk management, it is advocated that the financial institution use several research models such as the SVSJ- and the Seppmodel in addition to the Black-Scholes model. Keywords: Exotic option, basket option, risk management, greeks, affine jumpdiffusions, the Black-Scholes model, the Heston model, Bates model with lognormal jumps, the Bates model with log-asymmetric double exponential jumps, the Stochastic-Volatility-Simultaneous-Jumps(SVSJ)-model, the Sepp-model.

Bop, Bineta 08 1900 (has links)
The nuclear pore complex is the only entry and exit point for the nucleocytoplasmic transport. The nuclear basket, one of its main components, was shown to be involved in gene regulation and could play a major role in quality control of mRNA export. However, little is known on how the basket functions in nuclear export and gene regulation. The main structural component of the basket, TPR (Translocated Promoter Region), is thought to be the main actor in the quality control function of the basket. It is yet to be establish by which mechanism this protein ensures the selection of competent mRNPs for export. With all these involvement of the basket in quality control, export, and maturation, one question remains: What is the basket really doing, what defines quality control, how the nuclear basket can identify RNAs that aren’t competent for export, and what are the roles of the different proteins that make up the basket. Recently it was shown that TPR is present in two populations, one in the nucleoplasm and another bound at the NPC. Our preliminary studies using FRAP (Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching) and single molecule microscopy shows that the nucleoplasmic TPR molecules aren’t exchanging with the baskets anchored at the NPC and present different subpopulations based on diffusion. Analysis of preliminary proteomics studies from our laboratory revealed an interactome with an unexpected enrichment of proteins involved in mRNA maturation notably splicing and 3’ end processing factors. These results imply complex interactions of the new fractions of TPR and lead us to ask these following questions: What is the function of the basket protein TPR when it is not associated with the NPC, and does nucleoplasmic TPR participate in nuclear RNA metabolism, potentially linking nuclear processes to quality control at the NPC? My project focused on investigating the functions and dynamics of the nuclear basket protein TPR using fluorescent live-cell and single-protein imaging techniques. We were able to identify the dynamics and localization of the different populations of TPR based on the diffusion profiles of their trajectories, which can be divided in 5 categories: Directed, Brownian, Restricted, Confined and Butterfly. Our data suggest that the confined population might be linked to chromatin association of TPR, whereas the Brownian would represent the free diffusing TPR molecules in the nucleus. We further found that the Directed and Restricted trajectories could be linked to RNA maturation as these two subpopulations of TPR are most affected when transcription is inhibited. Moreover, in absence of transcription, TPR forms granules in the nucleus, suggesting its implication during active transcription. Altogether, our study shows that the nucleoplasmic fraction of TPR is subdivided in heterogenous diffusive fractions that could play several roles in the metabolism of RNA and quality of export

Construction and Evaluation of Basket Options using the Binomial Option Pricing Model / Konstruktion och Evaluering av Korgoptioner med Binomialmodellen

Nordström, Robin, Tabari, Sepand January 2021 (has links)
Hedge funds use a variety of different financial instruments in order to try to achieve over-average returns without taking on excessive risk - options being one of the most common of these instruments. Basket options is a type of option that is written on several underlying assets that can be used to hedge risky positions. This project has been working together with the hedge fund Proxy P to develop software to construct basket options and to analyze their use as a hedging strategy. Construction of basket options can be performed through the use of several different mathematical models. These models range from complex continuous models, such as Monte Carlo simulations, to simple discrete models, such as the binomial option pricing model. In this project, the binomial option pricing model was chosen as the main tool to determine some quantities of basket options. It can conveniently handle both European and American options, independently of whether these are put or call options. The quantities calculated, the option price and option Delta, are dependent on the volatility and the initial price of the underlying. When evaluating the basket option there are two key assumptions that need to be studied. These key assumptions are if the weights and the initial price of the underlying change with each time step, or if they are held constant. It was found that both the weights and the price of the underlying should change dynamically with each time step. Furthermore, in order to evaluate the performance of the basket options used as a hedge, the project used historical data and measured how the options neutralized negative movements in the underlying. This was done through the use of the option Delta and the hedge ratio. What could be concluded was that the put basket option can serve as a relatively inexpensive hedge and minimize the risk on the downside in a sufficient matter.

Robitaille, Sophie 18 April 2018 (has links)
