The general objective of this study was to investigate the inclusive school culture from the perspective of deaf students who study in the context of regular education. Aside from the bibliographic sources recompiled and read, covered with importance by being able to provide actual and relevant informations, also was held semistructured interviews, with theoretical benchmark in Pierre Bourdieu (2013). The interviews happened in one of the classrooms of the school that has as proposal the bilingual education for deaf. The questions were made in Brazilian signals language (Libras) by the researcher – who has a degree in Mathematics as well as of Translator and Interpreter of Libras/Portuguese -.The interviews were made at the end of June, during July and beginning of August 2016. It is emphasized that in the moment of the interview only the researcher and the interviewed person remained in the room, in order to preserve the anonymity. The participants of this research were deaf students who studied from kindergarten until the elementary school in a school with a proposal of bilingual education for the deaf and that nowadays attend to an inclusive regular school. The participants of this research were deaf students who studied from kindergarten until the elementary school in a school with a proposal of bilingual education for the deaf and that nowadays attend to an inclusive regular school. Therefore, the results obtained along the research presented difficulty in the participants’ inclusion development based on the respect for their cultural and linguistic differences, in the inclusive state school, since the school did not reach to overcome the tendency of a homogenization culture present in the “school culture”. Thus, for inclusion of deaf students in the school environment, it is fundamental to adapt this environment so that the individuals in question feel part of a whole. It is necessary to elaborate the inclusion as a broad process, with ideological, social, cultural, political and economic dimensions, involving all the interpersonal relationship existing in the school and outside it. It is considered necessary to be cautious so that school inclusion is not caught in the trap of standardization, or rather, in the deaf student’s inclusion in the mainstream education being the sign language seen as a set of facilitating codes of communication, as teaching instrument, disregarding the cultural nature present in Libras / La educación inclusiva ha sido tema de discusión mundial desde la década de 1990, provocando el inicio de perspectivas y enfrentamientos de obstáculos en su proceso de concreción.

Postoje pedagogů k inkluzivnímu pojetí základního vzděláivání / Teacher's attitudes towards inclusive concept of basic education

Marešová, Barbora January 2017 (has links)
This thesis deals with the concept of inclusive education in primary schools. The aim of this thesis is to find out what positives and negatives teachers see in inclusive concept of basic education, and what recommendations could help the functioning of the inclusive education process. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the process of inclusion and inclusive education, including a description of concepts, principles and manifestations. In the theoretical part, an inclusive school environment, including actors of an inclusive process is also approached. The basis for the practical part is the survey, which aims at finding the attitudes, opinions and suggestions of primary school teachers on the issue. The results of the research show that the current concept of inclusive education is misunderstood by most teachers and, unfortunately, most of them disagree with this concept. They see the risk of burden not only for children and teachers, but ultimately also for the entire school system, which may lose its quality. In spite of this, they find certain benefits in inclusive education, mostly in the fact that children can learn mutual motivation, cooperation, necessary social skills, and try to perceive and respect differences, which will help...

Cesta k inkluzivní škole / Towards school inclusion

Marques, Karin January 2021 (has links)
Towards School Inclusion Abstract Since September 2016, the so-called inclusive amendment, i.e. Decree No. 27/2016 Coll., on the education of pupils with special educational needs, has been in force in Czech schools. The multiple-case study of three schools describes the process of change in different contexts prior to 2016. Three inclusive schools were selected based on measuring the level of inclusion and their public declaration of striving for inclusion. The data research sources were narrative interviews with current and former principals of the selected schools, their deputies, some teachers, assistants, parents and/or representatives of the municipality. IPA was used to analyze the data. The inclusive school is a product of a principal's vision and their transformative leadership. The key for a successful transformation was to change not only processes and structures but mainly the culture, thus common understanding of the goals. The central concept was communication and collaboration. The respondents perceived themselves as pioneers and communities sharing the same values. Creating conditions for respecting the needs and differences of each child and gaining community trust were the necessary steps for this transformation. It was important to raise sufficient funds, to work hard and to improve...

Asistent pedagoga v inkluzivní škole jako příležitost k efektivnímu vzdělávání žáků se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami / The teacher assistent in an inclusive school as an opportunity for the effective education of pupils with the special educational needs

Komárková, Ivana January 2019 (has links)
(in English): KOMÁRKOVÁ, Ivana., The teacher assistent in an inclusive school as an opportunity for the effective education of pupils with the special educational needs. Prague: Philosophical faculty, Charles University, 2019. x pp. Degree Thesis This thesis focuses on the role of teacher's assistant and his or her activity in the process of educating pupils with specific educational needs on the level of elementary schools . Every inclusive school offers the possibility of special personal support in the classroom provided by the teacher and his or her assistant working together as a team. This sort of educational method actually creates and entirely new educational situation and opens a new opportunity in the educational process. It demands an effective cooperation of both educationalists, because their attitudes determine the cooperative climate in the whole class community and also in the entire school community. The goal of this thesis is to describe the actual situation of the teacher's assistant in relation to the successful realization of the content of inclusive education in elementary schools. The thesis focuses especially on the cooperation between the teacher's assistant and other people involved. And also on mapping their needs related to successful fulfilment of the goals of inclusive...

Jama, Pateka Pamella 06 1900 (has links)
This study investigated the implementation of inclusive education in three schools of Mthatha district in the Eastern Cape Province, in accordance with the principles set out in Education White Paper 6: Special Needs Education—Building an inclusive education and training system. The qualitative method was used in this study, and data collection strategies were based on interviews and observations. The study established the following challenges that hampered the implementation of inclusive education in the three schools: • Lack of training or workshops for both principals and educators on inclusive education, which led to a lack of knowledge about the topic and ways to support learners experiencing barriers to learning in their schools. • Lack of access to the White Paper 6 document. These challenges can remedied by proactive assistance from the Eastern Cape Department of Education and the Mthatha District of Education authorities. / Inclusive Education / M. Ed. Danser avec Samuel Beckett / Dancing with Samuel Beckett

Clavier, Évelyne 05 July 2018 (has links)
This research analyses the relationship of Samuel Beckett (1906-1989) to dance and the relationship of two contemporary choreographers Dominique Dupuy (1930-) and Maguy Marin (1951-) to his works. The first part shows that Samuel Beckett was influenced by the modern dance he discovered between the two World Wars. His writing became more gestural and his discourse more political. Thus, to the healthy and glorious bodies promoted by the Nazi arts, he opposed in his first theatre the vulnerable bodies weakened by old age and disabilities, those of men whom the Third Reich wanted to make superfluous. In 1953, Lucky's dance in Waiting for Godot is a way of telling the unnamable of this violence. In 1981, the dance of Quad brings back the ghosts of the past to prevent the return of the worst. How to say? Dance, an art of the "non word", is part of this research that runs through Samuel Beckett's work. What one can't talk about is what one has to dance about. Secondly, this study shows how Samuel Beckett's works induce dances in which vulnerable beings resist and call for care. Dancing with Happy days, Act Without Words I and Worstward Ho allows Dominique Dupuy to question the possibilities of old age and transform its representations. Starting with Endgame, Maguy Marin wrote May B in 1981, a choreography miles apart from high-performance dance, which makes disabilities visible. Her work offers an updated reading of Samuel Beckett's work that takes into consideration the condition of disabled persons and allows us to envision the possibility of a more inclusive society. The last part shows that an ethical reading of Samuel Beckett's works and their choreographic projections can become the vector of inclusion practices and emancipation at school. This is the vocation of the Meeting Beckett project conducted in 2016-2017 in partnership with choreographer K Goldstein, with disabled pupils from an Ulis (Unité localisée pour l'inclusion scolaire) and 5th graders. Finally, we need to ask ourselves to what extent artistic practices can encourage new professional gestures at school and initiate an inclusive dynamic, capable of giving a place for everyone in society.

Brito, Maiane Vasconcelos de 27 February 2018 (has links)
The education of the deaf students currently faces a difficult definition regarding the model that best fits the educational needs of the student with deafness in Brazil. The relevance of the research resides in evidencing the discussions about the subject carried out by the deaf subjects according to the modality of education that contemplates better their community. To that end, we aim to analyze the discourses of the deaf about the role of the special, inclusive and bilingual school within the broader context of inclusive educational policy and the influence of this conjuncture of social transformation for the constitution of subjects and their identities. This research is situated in the field of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) (FAIRCLOUGH, 2003, 2016), more specifically in the Sociological and Speech Discourse Approach (PEDROSA, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016). This approach strongly dialogues with Sociology for Social Change - SMS - (BAJOIT, 2006). In order to do the linguistic analysis, a prerequisite for an ACD analysis, we focus on the Systemic-Functional Linguistics (ALMEIDA 2010) and in its system of evaluation work with its subsystems of attitude and gradation, observing in the speeches of the deaf as they evaluate the educational processes through the discussion of the theme. From SMS, we will classify the identities and types of subjects that constitute themselves through the work of relational management of themselves. The type of our research is qualitative-interpretative; with the purpose of collecting the data, we used videos of deaf people in the YouTube channel. The corpus of this research is constituted by 7 videos that resulted in 17 discursive cuts to be analyzed, in which the deaf stand in front of the special school, the inclusive school and the bilingual school for the deaf. The research raises a discussion about the modalities of education for deaf people and of which parameter should be followed so that the learning process for these communities is full. The results revealed that between the inclusion advocated by law and by many experts and bilingualism, the second method is unanimously defended by the deaf, for actually providing a social and political inclusion of the community. It is inferred that the deaf do not feel represented within the special model and the inclusive model, since their needs have not been fully met, although we have identified some attenuating positions, the subjects manifest without care in their difference. We conclude that through the position of the deaf on their education it was possible to identify the evaluation made by them and how this evaluation is favorable to bilingual school, in addition the deaf studies enabled us to know how each model is configured and how important each one to the context of change of discursive and social practices of the deaf subjects and in the educational scope to which it is inserted.

To achieve this objective, we studied the historical background of special and inclusive education in Europe and the United States, which have influenced actions to help disabled people in Brazil, from the 1960s on, when these types of education were included in public policies. We also studied the historical background of special and inclusive education in Goiás and Rio Verde. We looked into the perspective of the SRE administrators, headmasters, pedagogical coordinators and teachers of 4 general schools called Inclusive Schools. One of them is considered a Reference School, because it was the pioneer in inclusive education in town. This study had a qualitative research in a descriptive-reflexive approach as reference. Data were collected simultaneously through semi-structured interviews (with SRE/Rio Verde Administrators, Headmasters, Pedagogical Coordinators and Teachers), analysis of primary and secondary documents (such as Laws, Ordinances, Decrees and Resolutions which give guidelines to national, state and municipal inclusive education, and the political pedagogical project from those schools) as well as information gathered in non-scheduled meetings at the schools. The analysis was based in the theoretical reference of Vygotsky, Stainback & Stainback, Mantoan, Sassaki and Almeida, among others, which enabled the building of more knowledge about the Inclusive School and aspects related to disabled people in their multiple relationships with normal people, in the general school context. At the end, reflections were presented as a way to contribute to the improvement of the inclusive school process under way in the researched municipality.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissertacao Gisella.pdf: 1974844 bytes, checksum: 46121d1bb3f499e42e1471129fc6dc37 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2006-09-01 / This study seeks to understand the process of implementation and results of the Inclusive Education Proposal into the mainstream education system of the Goiás State. The Superintendence of Special Education, which is a sector of the State Secretariat of Education, is responsible for this proposal. By using a case study, this study looks at the Inclusive School of Reference (Escola Inclusiva de Referência EIR) located in the capital of the state, that is, the Goiânia city. Since 1999, the State Government of Goiás, implemented the Educating for Diversity State Programme that aims to disseminate and implement the national guidelines for inclusion. The Inclusive School of Reference is a central organization in developing this policy. Considering this, this study reviews the development of special education policy in the state of Goiás from 1990 as well as it describes and analyses how the inclusive education proposal happens into the school and in its classrooms. Data has been gathered by using observation, formal and informal interviews, documental analysis and other information collected in the school. A qualitative descriptive and reflective analysis of the data has been carried out by adopting the theoretical and methodological framework of the Phenomenology, by which the study tries to understand the school as a phenomenon in the field. Throughout the study, then, numerous questions have emerged, amongst these, what is an inclusive school of reference? Can the State of Goiás School of Reference be considered a reference? Why? Is Education, in its own rights, inclusive? Finally, perceptions and perspectives are enlightened by the study as a means to contribute to push inclusive education forward.
