This dissertation aims to discuss the relationship between the populational dynamics and the use of water resourses in the urbanized area of the County of Serra, in Espírito Santo, focusing in the transformations that took place in the demographic structure and its relation to the water consumption. The analysis of such relation refers the second half of the twentieth century. Thus, the primary objective of the research consists in characterizing and analyzing the populational dynamic and the consumption of water in Serra, pointing out the current and future interrelationship between the demographic components and the domestic water use. In order to reach the proposed objective, our work plan has seeked, initially, to trace the theoretical framework in various areas of knowledge, trying to explore the theoretical approximations between both fields - Population and water resources. Then we have examined deeply the evolution and the current demographic frame, as well as the patterns of water consumption in the county, intending, in an analytical effort, find out similarities through the correlation of demographic aspects and the domestic water use. Among the outcomes, we would like to highlight the interrelationship between the population growth rate in the urbanized area of Serra County and the consumption of water in the domestic sphere, since it can be noticed the same trend of evolution in the population growth rates and the absolute values in water use in the period analyzed. The future scenario of population dynamic and the water consumption indicate that Serra population keep on growing in the next decades, although with lower rates in each period. Around 2040 the population of Serra must reach its level of saturation, that s to say, the growth will become stable. The scenario of water consumption, instead, will follow a trend of growth until the same decade, but with rates higher than those of the population, this one already in a slowdown

Diallo, Mamadou Alpha January 2015 (has links)
In this first part of the survey, which began with a brief introduction, went through a literature review, before describing historical processes and tentative regional integration shows that despite of being presented as complementary organizations of economic integration and monetary West Africa, namely ECOWAS, UEMOA and ZMOA represent particular interests both internally and externally, and thus the dream of real political and economic unity takes to materialize.

The Lgbtt And Women

Kurbanoglu, Elcin 01 June 2010 (has links) (PDF)
This thesis investigates two social movements in Turkey, the women&rsquo / s and LGBTT movements comparatively and in the light of available NSM theories. While brief histories of both movements are presented and all active LGBTT associations and groups in Turkey are introduced in the thesis, the main focus of the study is the LGBTT movement. Based on in depth interviews with 17 LGBTT activists, the evolution of this movement is traced and its current profile as well as its relationship to different branches of the women&rsquo / s movement are analysed in detail. The activities of the two movements during the legislative reforms in the 2000s are also examined. While findings of the thesis point to differences between the LGBTT and women&rsquo / s movements in Turkey, the interface of both movements with the state constitute a critical explanatory factor of their trajectories. The thesis also argues that the extent to which NSM theories can be used to explain these movements in the Turkish context is limited.

Arizona Water Policy: Changing Decision Agendas and Political Styles

Cortner, Hanna J., Berry, Mary P. 16 April 1977 (has links)
From the Proceedings of the 1977 Meetings of the Arizona Section - American Water Resources Assn. and the Hydrology Section - Arizona Academy of Science - April 15-16, 1977, Las Vegas, Nevada / It is argued that Arizona has traditionally and persistently pursued a style of politics in which state government is a reactor rather than an initiator, and that its role has been subordinate to the federal government and local and private water users. The lack of adequate water policies has led to an inability to respond to new conditions and demands, such as conflicts among traditional water users, Indian claims, rising water costs, energy developments and environmental concerns. Past themes of administrative fragmentation and lack of concern over water and water planning have been responsible for these deficiencies. There is some evidence that the customary decision-making process is changing and the state is establishing its own water planning capability.

Inter-relações entre linguagens no ensino de arte

Nunes, Sandra Conceição 13 December 2010 (has links)

No. of bitstreams: 1 Sandra.pdf: 1302327 bytes, checksum: 04e3e1a41f8d3383958f4bc6ca8798bb (MD5) Previous issue date: 2010-12-13 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This research aims at investigating the possibilities of an interrelation between different approaches in Arts education, particularly between Drama, Visual Arts and Music. Although the Brazilian curricular Parameters emphasize the importance of students having access to distinct artistic approaches, only few schools actually have teachers of different Art subjects; and even when that is the case, the interrelations are hardly established. This is a theoretical study that analyzes epistemological and methodological aspects and the results of three stages of the Transdisciplinaridade e intersemioses no ensino de Arte ( Transdisciplinarity and Intersemiosis in Arts Education ) research, the TRANSARTE Project: experiences with the same goals, performed in different institutions and periods of time. Participating in the second stage of this Project, TRANSARTE II, and experiencing as a teacher the amazing results were determining aspects for carrying out this research. The possibility of joining distinct kinds of knowledge enabled the search for theoretical foundations related to interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity, as well as Discursive Semiotics. It was possible to observe that the students were able to interrelate approaches when provided with proper conditions to do so. It was likewise verified that the teacher is the main actor in this process, for their actions are decisive in forming a study group as well as in the actual classes, as the interrelating approaches at school mean group work, along with at least one teacher of each area. According to the data analysis of the three stages of the Project, it is pertinent to suggest it as an alternative to Arts education in City schools in Florianópolis, including the school where the TRANSARTE II Project took place / Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo verificar possibilidades de inter-relação entre diferentes linguagens no ensino de Arte, mais especificamente, entre Artes Cênicas, Artes Visuais e Música.

Salazar Torres, Mariano Ignacio Noé 26 April 2021 (has links)
The Project presented below is a High-Performance Swimming Center that is developed as an integrated element and urban landmark within the city. Located in the southern cone of Lima, in the district of San Juan de Miraflores, which due to the number of sports complexes in its extension has the vocation to be an important sports focus. However in the city of Lima there is no adequate infrastructure for the training of high-level athletes in their various disciplines, swimming being one of the most affected. It is in this way that the conception of the project arises, as a solution proposal for the development of sport at its highest level of demand and competitiveness. It seeks to be the main sports venue for national and international competitions and expand the practice of aquatic disciplines, providing specialized training for the development of high-level athletes from the beginning. The main focus of the architectural project is to create spatial interrelations through a flexible interior space that incorporates program views, multiple uses and spatial quality that allows the building to display its interior and thus achieve contact between the different users creating defined circuits according to each one. / Tesis

NGOs engaged in these parallel activities and individuals in the official initiating process are central to this research. The purpose of this study is to analyze how Swedish NGOs and their related networks influenced environmental discourses during and following the UN conference on the human environment in Stockholm 1972. The purpose is also to analyze how they in turn were effected by the conference process and the context in which NGOs function. This study is concerned with how social movements became engaged in official global meetings and the effects of this process. It is a study of the interrelations between intergovernmental discourse framing and activist influence. To understand this we take in consideration what motivated the actions of relevant actors, how actors selected strategies to obtain there purposes and how diverse frames of understanding emerged.
