Abstract: This work reclaims the teacher's continuing education project, between 1973 and 1992 at west Paraná, location and time of the construction project of Itaipu binational hidroeletric power plant. Most of this historical period is marked by dictatorship in Brazil. It's a historical narrative resulting from research and analysis of archive documentation, intertwined by theoretical reflections represented as appointments. I intended to preserve the meaning of historicity by attaching research methods and the exposure of actions which were organized, coordinated and supported by the Multinational Project of Education Brasil, Paraguai and Uruguai -MEC-OEA. Created at OEA's Office in Washington, with national coordination in Brasilia and local coordination in Foz do Iguaçu, the Project took place between 1975 and 1983, following the assumption that Itaipu's construction project would raise unpredictable social changes in the border area between Paraguai and Argentina, which should be eased by this intervention. In order to continue these actions, this Project gave rise to the Educational Association of West Paraná, ASSOESTE, in 1980. At the gaps of the political-military restrictions, there were real spaces for political will against hegemony to be in, strategically surviving to the forces correlation struggle, a zigzag game. Therefore, the Project dollars has brought to the region teachers of important university centers, opposed to the military regime. Among these reclaimed actions, we consider three leading lines: the struggle against political system, illegally but constantlyleaded, reaching the formation of ideological consciousness about the problems of social development and the following solution through the joint of regional forces (and not local forces); the capitalist production as mechanized production-intensive farms and its consequences to the environment, which were not sufficiently confronted neither by the cooperative ideology, neither by the formation actions, that were unable to realize its own manipulation; and, at last, the intervention in the educational processes, through teacher's continuing education - theme of this work - by the production of textbooks, particularly addressed to alphabetization and to the Social Studies field. Assuming that the narrator let the listeners to be able to extract the meanings of narrated phenomena, the researcher starts from narration to reflection, extracting from living experience lessons which can be used as goals - never rules - for future actions. As long as there are many lessons that changes according to the context of the narrative reflexive listening - which make them unlimited, I present the following lessons: a) zigzag playing forces to consider the other side, which leads to negotiations, whereas many moves are demanded and ruled by the partnership of the game: a bet is made considering that the leftovers bring more benefits to our defended point of view, even not being previously sure about the results; b) vulnerability of the structure: despite all political closure, control and order, underneath the smooth water there is an effervescent world opening gaps with leaking possibilities; c) the alterity's principle implies also on non replacement of evolved subjects: if there were another subjects, there would be another actions and another stories; d) the incommensurability of pedagogical intervention actions, which results can't be predicted in advance; e) the dollars of an external organization, even though having a pre established destiny, were important condition due to the financial support and continuity of tactical and non hegemonic actions in the formation processes; f) and at last, the very narrative, which in its own linearity pursue contents to another researches: there is others possible and completely distinct meanings. / Doutorado / Ensino e Práticas Culturais / Doutor em Educação

Cleaning machine : In cooperation with HRI Teknik and RobomaticCavdarovski, Martin, Borg, Christopher January 2017 (has links)
The following project is a collaboration with HRI Teknik and Robomatic AB, that found a possible market for improving cleanliness in grocery stores by improving the hygiene of costumer baskets. Bacteria and left over items in the basket builds up a health risk for the costumers, if not properly cleaned regularly. The dirt and bacteria from the basket is broth home thru the groceries coming in contact during shopping. The need has been strengthened by surveys for the two store managers and the customers of the grocery store. To reduce the spreads of diseases, the baskets should be cleaned better and more frequently by having the proper detergent and cleaning system. The aim of the study is to develop a concept of a cleaning machine for baskets used in grocery stores. This is done by a well- defined technical driven development process, considering all six steps. The supportive research concerning framework has laid as a foundation for the construction of the cleaning machine. Research proves that framework creates a robust and safe construction, absorbing tensile and compressive forces in the longitudinal direction. The outcome from the technical driven process and the theoretical study is a visual, three dimensional model of concept. The concepts main function is to be driven by a belt with hooks, which is hanging on the machine. The baskets are then hanged on the movable belt in order to get cleaned. During the project, resources as material, working place and expertise is provided to sufficient degree so a concept can be developed. Since the project has a limited period of time, it was recognized the project would not be able to get to the production stages. The concept and function need to be tested and investigated to solve the remaining details. This is left for further development beyond the project, and is laying at HRI Teknik and Robomatic AB.

Ett lyckat arbete enligt BBIC? : Socialsekreterares syn på dokumentationssystemet BBIC – Barns behov i centrum / A successful work according to BBIC? : Social workers’ view on BBIC – a Swedish child investigation systemSchyllander, Maria, Olsson, Julia January 2015 (has links)
A successful work according to BBIC? – Social workers’ view on BBIC – a Swedish child investigation system Maria Schyllander and Julia Olsson BBIC (Children’s Need In Focus) is a Swedish system used in child welfare investigations which was brought from the British method Integrated Children’s System, ICS. The aim of this thesis was to receive increased knowledge of attitudes towards the system from social workers point of view. Qualitative interviews with social workers working with child welfare investigations were performed and analysed using qualitative content analysis and theoretical concepts according organisation and the space of action. The main result showed that social workers were in favour of working with a system during the investigation, but that BBIC is time consuming due to the magnitude of the system. Organisational conditions and the space of action were important while working according to BBIC. Neither the space of action nor the organisation was adapted to BBIC and BBIC was not designed after the organisational conditions. BBIC as documentation and management systems in the social child care was perceived as a good foundation but in need for revision and change.

Zásada rychlosti v trestním řízení / The principle of promptness in the criminal proceedingsTikal, František January 2016 (has links)
RÉSUMÉ IN ENGLISH The topic of this master thesis is the principle of promptness in the criminal proceedings because this question is nowadays the subject-matter of numerous discussions, in which it is spoken about overloaded Czech justice system, about delays in court proceedings and about options, how to relieve the system of Czech criminal justice system. The aim of the submitted thesis is to evaluate critically the current legal institutes helping to make the criminal proceedings faster, mainly the investigation of crimes, and to contemplate its potential extension, without having caused any more significant limitation of the right of the accused to defence. Among other principles, which stay often contrary to the principle of promptness and which the legislators always must bear in mind, are the principle of material truth and the principle of contradiction. The thesis is divided into seven basic chapters. The first chapter is the introduction. The second chapter deals with the meaning of promptness of criminal proceedings for each particular subject of the criminal proceedings, mainly for the accused and the injured party. Third chapter presents the statistic data on the average length of proceedings in the Czech Republic and within the European Union: the average length of criminal proceedings leaded...

UNDERSÖKNING AV FEL OCHSTÖRNINGAR SOM PÅVERKARBYGGPROJEKT / INVESTIGATION OF FAULTS AND DISTURBANCES THAT AFFECTSCONSTRUCTION PROJECTSVAZIRI, JOSEF, MUHAMOUD HASSAN, YUSUF January 2014 (has links)
This paper will address different types of faults and disturbances that affect a building project. The construction process itself involves many participants who must cooperate in order to reach the set goals and thus keep the end time. From the time the developer has taken a decision to start a construction project until the construction project reached its final stage each participant has requirements to fulfil. In the three different stages of the construction project – planning, pre-construction and construction – different types of faults and disturbances occurs that affect the project negatively. There are always complications when a building project must be carried out on the basis of a complex interaction between different parties, people and companies. There have been done literature studies in order to understand how faults and disturbances affect today’s construction process. The literature studies have then been supplemented by interviews with site managers at NCC AB. This was done with the intention to be able to compare the theory with reality. Does the reality match with the theory or are there major differences between these two. The foundation for a successful construction project is usually a well-conducted planning. The construction industry as a whole has a bad planning level. The planning is done in order to minimize faults and disturbances. The interviews carried out have shown, despite a good planning, that no project is completely flawless; there is almost always something that needs to be changed, added or removed. Keywords: faults, disturbances, construction projects, construction management, construction process, investigation, production planning.

Only a Shadow : Industrial computed tomography investigation, and method development, concerning complex material systemsJansson, Anton January 2016 (has links)
The complexity of components fabricated in today's industry is ever increasing. This increase is partly due to market pressure but it is also a result from progress in fabrication technologies that opens up new possibilities. The increased use of additive manufacturing and multi-material systems, especially, has driven the complexity of parts to new heights. The new complex material systems brings benefits in many areas such as; mechanical properties, weight optimisation, and sustainability. However, the increased complexity also makes material integrity investigations and dimensional control more difficult. In additive manufacturing, for example, internal features can be fabricated which cannot be seen or measured with conventional tools. There is thus a need for non-destructive inspection methods that can measure these geometries. Such a method is X-ray computed tomography. Computed tomography utilizes the X-rays ability to penetrate material to create 3D digital volumes of components. Measurements and material investigations can be performed in these volumes without any damage to the investigated component. However, computed tomography in material science is still not a fully mature method and there are many uncertainties associated with the investigation technique. In the work presented in this thesis geometries fabricated by various additive manufacturing processes have been investigated using computed tomography. Also in this work, a dual-energy computed tomography tool has been developed with the aim to increase the measurement consistency of computed tomography when investigating complex geometries and material combinations. / MultiMatCT

The experimental investigation of buoyant flows in inclined differentially heated cavitiesEsteifi, Khaled January 2011 (has links)
Buoyant flows are present in nature and also in many engineering applications, from domestic heating to the cooling of nuclear power plants. This experimental study focuses on the effects of angle of inclination on buoyancy-driven flows inside tall, rectangular, differentially-heated cavities. The objective is to produce detailed local flow and thermal data, which will advance our understanding of the flow physics and also provide CFD validation data. It considers a 2.18m × 0.52m × 0.0762m cavity, resulting in an aspect ratio of 28.6, with its two opposing long walls maintained at constant but different temperatures, while all the remaining walls are thermally insulated. The Rayleigh number, based on the temperature difference and spacing of the long sides, is 0.86 x 106 for most cases and the working fluid is air (Prandtl number0.71). Experimental data for the flow and the thermal fields, using laser Doppler anemometry and Chromel-Alumel thermocouple traverses respectively, are presented for the cavity inclined at 60° and 15° to the horizontal, for both stable (the hot surface being the upper surface) and unstable (the hot surface the lower one) orientations. The 15° stable case is investigated at a higher Rayleigh number of 1.54 x106 and some additional data for the 15° unstable case are also presented at this high value of Rayleigh number. Comparisons with the measurements of Betts and Bokhari [1], for the same cavity at the vertical position, are also included. For moderate angles of inclination, the flow is two-dimensional and the effects of inclination are primarily confined to the fluctuating fields. For large angles of inclination, the flow becomes three-dimensional. In the unstable 15° angle of inclination case, a set of four longitudinal vortices are formed over the entire length of the cavity, with four counter-rotating re-circulation cells within the cross-section parallel to the thermally active walls. The enhanced mixing at 15° unstable inclination leads to uniform temperature in the cavity core and thus only minor deviations from two dimensionality in the thermal field. A modest rise in Rayleigh number, in the 15° unstable case, does not affect the mean motion, but causes an increase in the normalised turbulence intensities, which in turn leads to a more uniform temperature within the cavity core and a practically two-dimensional thermal field. The stable 15° angle of inclination case, surprisingly, leads to the formation of two longitudinal vortices and two re-circulation cells. The lack of mixing, in the 15° stable case, leads to more noticeable three-dimensional thermal field. The thesis includes a full set of flow and thermal predictions and also spectral analysis of thermal fluctuations, which show a significant effect of the angle of inclination on both the power density level and the ranges of frequencies involved.
