<p> </p><p>Uppsatsen handlar om kristendomens syn på inkarnationen och dess betydelse för ikonen. Det är en studie av ikonens teologiska och historiska bakgrund, kopplad till kristologiska frågor som uppstod redan under den tidiga kristendomen. Synen på inkarnationen, Guds människoblivande i Kristus, är inom kristendomen skiftande även om det finns en gemensam trosbekännelse. Studien behandlar ikonens teologi och inkarnationsfrågan i samband med Gamla testamentets bildförbud och hur detta påverkar delar av den kristna tron. Under en längre period fanns ett stort motstånd gentemot heliga bilder inom kyrkan som till viss del påverkade brytningen mellan ortodox och katolsk kristendom. Kyrkans splittring kopplas här till inkarnationsläran och Bibelns bildförbud. Uppsatsen visar att skillnaderna i tolkningen av inkarnationen ledde till strider inom bildfrågan. Den visar även att en del av åsikterna inom kristologin, läran om Kristus, går att koppla till ett semiotiskt system, där likheterna med tankarna om inkarnationen och treenigheten går att sätta in i en modell för att synliggöra ikonens teologi.</p><p> </p>

Syftet med uppsatsen var att analysera Neil Gaimans skönlitterära bok Oceanen vid vägens slut och försöka finna kristen symbolik i form av treenigheten, och detta gjordes utifrån frågeställningen: På vilka sätt går det att finna biblisk och kristen treenighetssymbolik i boken Oceanen vid vägens slut? Metoden som användes var en kvalitativ text- och innehållsanalys med hermeneutisk ansats. Resultatet visade att tolkningen som gjordes av boken och kopplingarna till Bibeln pekar på treenigheten som en tydlig symbol i boken. Treenighetssymboliken i boken kopplades sedan till tre artiklar som under rubriken tidigare forskning berörde tolkning av de olika personerna inom den kristna treenigheten. Slutsatsen blev att det finns en symbolisk treenighet i de tre karaktärerna som utgör familjen Hempstock, och detta styrktes av karaktärer runt dessa, som också kunde kopplas till bibliska och kristna begrepp och företeelser.

<img src="http://www.diva-portal.org/cgi-bin/mimetex.cgi" /> Uppsatsens syfte var att definiera tidningen Missionsbanerets pacifism problematiserad utifrån andra världskrigets konflikter mellan stormakterna och mellan de totalitära staterna och Sveriges nordiska grannländer. Tidningen har kategoriserats efter sin hållning till pragmatisk respektive radikal pacifism utifrån konflikterna och dess hantering av pacifismens grundproblem, hur man ska handskas med en aggressiv motståndare som inte tar hänsyn till fredsbevarande arbete. Tidningen har även placerats in i ett större svenskt sammanhang. Följande frågor har använts i undersökningen: 1: Vilken syn hade tidningen på andra världskriget och krig i stort? 2: Vad var synen på andra världskrigets orsaker? 3: Hur betraktades stormakternas inbördes konflikter, deras medverkan i kriget och deras ideologier i förhållande till tidningens pacifistiska grundsyn? 4: Hur betraktades Finlands, Norges och (Danmarks) situation, deras krigsåtgärder och deras eventuella rättigheter till sina landområden i förhållande till tidningens pacifistiska grundsyn? Tidningens nummer har bearbetats mellan perioden 17 november 1938 till 27 september 1945 där de artiklar som haft anknytning till kriget och världsläget i stort utvalts till analysen. Resultaten visar att tidningen övervägande var en radikalpacifistisk tidning. Olika omständigheter gjorde emellertid att denna i vissa fall mildrades. Exempel på sådana var att tidningen godkände referat av kristna soldaters berättelser och vittnesbörd. Ett fåtal artiklar visar även på en syn att kriget kunde leda till något positivt till exempel genom att människor i sin nöd började söka Gud. När det gäller behandlingen av pacifismens grundproblem intog tidningen en radikalpacifistisk hållning inför konflikterna mellan stormakterna. I konflikten Finland-Sovjetunionen var hållningen mer åt det pragmatiskt pacifistiska hållet. Denna skillnad berodde förmodligen på en möjlig fruktan inför kommunismens eventuella utbredning, ett broderskapsförhållande till finländarna och en vilja att väcka förståelse hos läsarna för finlands folks nöd och behov. I ett svenskt sammanhang höll tidningen en moralisk linjen då tidningen sällan kompromissade med sin pacifism. Vidare gick tidningen emot normen i den svenska pressen om krigsmaktens betydelser för freden eller för landets intressen.

We encounter images and visual expressions on a daily basis. An image says more than a thousand words... but maybe the images can say too much? The school plays an important role in the development of democracy, gender equality, tolerance and respect of human rights. It is therefore important to have a discussion about the content of the textbooks and reflecting upon how these support the school's duty. I intend to investigate how images are produced in teaching materials for religious education, focusing on Christianity and Islam. The method of the essay is a semiotic content analysis. To reach the purpose, to investigate how and what images depicted in the teaching materials for religious education, four questions have been compiled: How does the image material look? What relationship does image and text have with each other, and how do they communicate? What is the balance between men and women? Are these different depending on the subject area? Do the textbooks show stereotypes or generalizing views through pictures? The result of the study shows that the analyzed textbooks have a relatively rich image content. Both books have religious phenomena as the main motive of the pictures. One of my most important issues in this analysis was whether the images had a reasonable caption or text link in the current text. Only 8% of the analyzed material had no caption or text attachment. The result also shows that both textbooks reinforce stereotypes. In Christianity, it became clear that 55% of the imagery shows stereotypical patterns, and in the texts about Islam, 60% show stereotypical patterns. A general view is that images contribute to learning and can help explain and illustrate a difficult subject. In particular, images are good for creating variation from the text, but using images must be done with care and caution, as images can easily contribute and reinforce stereotypic perceptions and prejudices.

This essay is about how five different Christian preschools handle various issues related to religion: how they work with religion on a daily basis and how they celebrate Christian holidays. My research material includes interviews made at two of the schools and an observation at another one.The one I have observed at is situated in a small town and the ones I have interviewed are situated in a suburb of Stockholm. The other three I have sent questionnaires by email which they have answered. Of these five Christian preschools one is connected to the Swedish church, one to the Salvation Army, two to the Mission Church and one did not have a clear connection. The three questions that I have tried to answer are: •How do educators/staff describe the integration of religion on the Christian preschools on a daily basis? •How do the educators/staff in the preschools in the study work with holidays? They pray before the meals, they use the Bible as part of their gatherings and they let the Bible’s Golden rule inform every activity to teach the children to treat each other well. One of the five preschools has decided not to celebrate holidays at all as part of their operation and let the children celebrate with their families. The other preschools use holidays as a starting-point to connect to the related stories of the Bible and as a basis for further talks with the children about the messages of these stories.

This essay studies how religiosity is formulated and discussed within the women´s suffrage movement, LKPR, in Sweden during the early 1900s. I have studied articles in journals written by central actors in the organization and applied a discourse analysis. This era in Sweden is characterized by political turbulence, and an increasing questioning of the Church of Sweden and how its doctrine is used by the state to legitimize a patriarchal social structure. I have also applied the “gender contract” as a theoretical perspective to show how the gender roles within the Church of Sweden not only created a framework for the women to stand within, but also to elucidate these actors’ approaches to these conditions and the complex situation they were in during the conflict where they were torn between state law, church frameworks and the dream of liberation. The work illustrates how voting rights activists used religion in their rhetoric to, among other things, call for activism, legitimize the political issue and demonstrate past values ​​depending on your gender and the roles you were thus assigned. With emotions such as love, despair, frustration and hope formulated in the scriptures, religion became one of the organization's tools in the political project.

I denna kvalitativa studie har fem Pingstvänner i åldrarna 18–30 intervjuats med syftet att dokumentera deras upplevelser av hur det är att leva som ung kristen i en frikyrklig församling 2020. Detta har gjorts med utgångspunkt i David Thurfjells teori om betydelseförskjutningen av begreppet kristen. Resultatet av studien bekräftar att begreppet kristen verkar genomgått en förskjutning, där den kristna identiteten ofta associeras med riter och dogmer. Detta kopplas även samman med arvet från kyrkan, där kyrkan trots att den tappat sin roll som maktinnehavare fortfarande definierar den rådande synen på kristendomen. Konsekvenserna av detta upplevs vara en splittrad identitet där Pingstvännerna ständigt ställs gentemot icke-kristnas och andra kristnas förväntningar på hur de ska leva, samtidigt som de själva ska navigera sig fram i hur de uppfattar att de bör leva utifrån sin tro.
