A ação social dos trabalhadores de enfermagem diante das restrições para o trabalho / The social action of nursing workers in face of restrictions on work

Introdução: As restrições para o trabalho nos trabalhadores de enfermagem têm sido alvo de pesquisas nacionais e internacionais, evidenciando a magnitude do adoecimento da categoria bem como suas repercussões no âmbito individual e coletivo em diferentes contextos. Evidências científicas apontam para a fragilidade dos programas de retorno ao trabalho quando o trabalhador é reinserido no ambiente laboral após o adoecimento, traduzida pelo despreparo não somente dos profissionais na avaliação das incapacidades, como por parte das instituições que recebem o trabalhador com restrição física e/ou psíquica. Nesse aspecto, a presente pesquisa propôs compreender a ação social dos trabalhadores de enfermagem diante das restrições para o trabalho, desvelando a interface entre os trabalhadores com incapacidade e supervisores. Método: Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo a partir da fenomenologia social de Alfred Schütz, desenvolvido no Hospital Universitário da Universidade de São Paulo, que envolveu 06 trabalhadores de enfermagem com restrição, bem como 06 enfermeiros responsáveis por supervisionar o processo de trabalho. Após a aprovação do Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa (CEP) da Escola de Enfermagem da USP (EEUSP) e do Hospital Universitário da USP (HUUSP), foram realizadas entrevistas individuais com os trabalhadores de enfermagem, por meio de 02 questões norteadoras para cada grupo. Após a realização das entrevistas, os discursos foram transcritos na íntegra para posterior análise, segundo o referencial da fenomenologia social de Alfred Schütz e outros referenciais da temática em questão. Resultados: A análise resultou na construção de duas categorias expressas pelos enfermeiros que coordenam o trabalho: Vivenciando a incapacidade dos trabalhadores no cotidiano de trabalho (motivos porque) que contemplou o conflito e a discriminação entre os trabalhadores, a preocupação com a produtividade e com a segurança do paciente e o reconhecimento quanto às falhas de estrutura institucional. A categoria Projetando um cenário para o futuro (motivos para) englobou a preocupação do enfermeiro gerente com o aumento do contingente de incapacitados, o reconhecimento da responsabilidade gerencial, a necessidade de implantar programas de retorno ao trabalho e de vigilância, promoção à saúde e prevenção de agravos. Quanto aos trabalhadores com restrição também evidenciou-se duas categorias: Vivenciando a incapacidade laboral (motivos porque) que contemplou a exposição às cargas de trabalho como fator desencadeador da restrição, a vivência de sentimentos ambivalentes na organização do trabalho e a vivência da culpa pela restrição ao trabalho. A categoria Projetando um cenário para o próprio futuro (motivos para) englobou a espera de apoio e compreensão da equipe, as estratégias para reorganização do ambiente de trabalho e a necessidade de acompanhamento desse trabalhador que possui restrição. Considerações Finais: Os resultados evidenciaram a ação dos sujeitos diante da incapacidade, desvelando a interface entre os trabalhadores com restrição para o trabalho e os enfermeiros que coordenam o processo de trabalho, em que questões como a necessidade de implementação de Programas de Retorno ao Trabalho, envolvendo todos os trabalhadores e a capacitação dos gestores para o enfrentamento da problemática emergem na relação face a face. / Introduction: The restrictions for work in nursing workers have been the subject of national and international research, evidencing the magnitude of illness in the category as well as its repercussions in the individual and collective scope in different contexts. Scientific evidences point to the fragility of programs to return to work when the worker is reinserted into the work environment after illness, translated by the lack of preparation not only of the professionals in the evaluation of the incapacities, but also by the institutions that receive the worker with physical restraint and / or psychic. In this aspect, the present research proposed to understand the social action of nursing workers in face of restrictions for work, revealing the interface between workers with disabilities and supervisors. Method: This is a qualitative study based on the social phenomenology of Alfred Schütz, developed at the University Hospital of the University of São Paulo, which involved 06 nursing workers with restriction, as well as 06 nurses responsible for supervising the work process. After the approval of the Research Ethics Committee (CEP) of the USP Nursing School (EEUSP) and the USP University Hospital (HUUSP), individual interviews were conducted with nursing workers, through 02 guiding questions for each group. After the interviews, the speeches were transcribed in full for further analysis, according to Alfred Schütz \'s social phenomenology reference and other references of the subject matter. Results: The analysis resulted in the construction of two categories expressed by the nurses who coordinate the work: Experiencing the incapacity of the workers in the daily work (reasons why) that contemplated the conflict and the discrimination between the workers, the concern with productivity and with the Patient safety and recognition of failures in institutional structure. The category Designing a scenario for own future (reasons for) included the concern of the nurse manager with the increase of the contingent of the disabled, the recognition of managerial responsibility, the need to implement programs of return to work and of surveillance, health promotion and prevention of injuries. Concerning workers with restriction, two categories were also highlighted: Experiencing the work disability (reasons why), which included exposure to workloads as a triggering factor of the restriction, the experience of ambivalent feelings in the organization of work and the experience of guilt by the restriction to work. The category Designing a scenario for own future (reasons for) included the waiting for support and understanding of the team, the strategies for reorganization of the work environment and the necessity to accompany this worker with restriction. Final Considerations: The results evidenced the action of the subjects in face of the incapacity, revealing the interface between the workers with restriction to the work and the nurses who coordinate the work process, in which issues such as the need to implement return to work programs, involving all workers and the training of managers to face the problem emerge in the face-to-face relationship.

Qualidade de vida e bem-estar no trabalho: a autopercepção dos servidores técnico-administrativos em uma universidade federal / Quality of life and well-being at work: the self-perception of technical and administrative staff on a federal university

Quality of Life is a very important issue for everyone and a goal to be achieved at any stage or life condition. When it is related to work, it is necessary that this place promotes an environment that provides people the best health conditions. In this context, this study presents the results of research that found the self-perception of technical and administrative staff (TAE) CAL / UFSM regarding Quality of Life and Well-being at Work. This work consisted of a descriptive research with quantitative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires directly from respondents in their workplace. The analysis procedure was based on statistical data making use of simple descriptive statistics. Concerning the relations of self-perceived quality of life and well-being at work and the socio-demographic characteristics of TAE servants CAL / UFSM it was found that it is a mixed group of men and women, they are mostly over 50 years old, 47,6% are married , 28.6 % are single and 23.8 % are part of other situations, most of them have a college degree and more than a half are graduated, regarding the household income , it is above the market average , more than a half have a family income 4-7 times the minimum wage . In relation to the length of service, 33.3 % have less than 5 years and 35.7% over 20 years. 23.8% have had management positions for more than 8 years. It could be observed that the TAE Servant has personal preparation to work and is ready to produce, and prioritizes his personal life. He has the necessary commitment to the good development of everyday life activities. With reference to the relationship of self-perceived Quality of Life and Well -being at Work with the socio-demographic characteristics, significant results have not been observed. Only the male gender has identified significant difference in the personal well-being factor. Regarding the relationship between the construct of Quality of Life and Well-being at Work, it was found that healthy eating habits promote a greater social inclusion and satisfaction at work. / A Qualidade de Vida é uma questão muito importante para todas as pessoas e um objetivo a ser alcançado em qualquer estágio ou circunstância da vida. Quando relacionada ao trabalho passa pela necessidade de que este reproduza ambientes que proporcionem às pessoas melhores condições de bem-estar. Inserida nesse contexto, esta dissertação apresenta resultados de pesquisa onde verificou-se a autopercepção dos servidores técnico-administrativos (TAE) do CAL/UFSM quanto à Qualidade de Vida e ao Bem-Estar no Trabalho. Este trabalho foi realizado a partir de uma pesquisa descritiva com abordagem quantitativa. Os dados foram coletados por questionários aplicados diretamente aos respondentes no seu local de trabalho. O procedimento de análise foi baseado em dados estatísticos fazendo uso de estatística descritiva simples. Quanto às relações da autopercepção da Qualidade de Vida e bem-estar no trabalho com as características do perfil sociodemográfico dos servidores TAE do CAL/UFSM verificou-se que é uma turma mista entre homens e mulheres e que a maioria tem até 50 anos, 47,6 % são casados, 28,6 % solteiros e 23,8 % outros casos, a maioria tem curso superior e mais da metade tem pós-graduação, quanto à renda familiar, pode-se dizer que é acima da média do mercado, mais da metade possui renda familiar de 4 a 7 salários mínimos. Quanto ao tempo de serviço, 33,3 % possuem menos de 5 anos e 35,7 % mais de 20 anos. 23,8 % ocupam cargo de chefia há mais de 8 anos. Foi possível perceber que o Servidor TAE tem a preparação pessoal para ir ao trabalho pronto para produzir, e coloca em primeiro lugar sua vida pessoal. Tem a dedicação necessária para o bom desenvolvimento das atividades do dia a dia. Quanto à relação da autopercepção da Qualidade de Vida e Bem-estar no Trabalho com as características do perfil sociodemográfico não apresentou resultados expressivos. Apenas o gênero masculino identificou, a seu favor, diferença significativa no fator bem-estar pessoal. Quanto à relação entre o construto da Qualidade de Vida e o Bem-estar no Trabalho, verificou-se que hábitos alimentares saudáveis proporcionam uma maior inserção social e também uma satisfação no trabalho.

The primary objective of this work is to analyze employee satisfaction in achieving a balance between the professional and personal life and to develop recommendations for employer on that basis. The theoretical portion of this work defines the issues surrounding Work-Life Balance and tools that employees can use to harmonize the two with an analysis of applications in the Czech Republic and across the European Union. The practical portion of the study analyzes employee satisfaction in real-world cases. On the basis of both components, the study offers recommendations for policy improvements to foster better Work-Life Balance.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the correlation between quality of life in the work of managers of a federal judicial institution, presenteeism and Burnout Syndrome, work - related disorder related to absenteeism, early retirements and low productivity. This is a descriptive-exploratory case study, cross-sectional, under a quantitative evaluation, adopting multivariate statistics for data analysis. The following instruments were used: a questionnaire containing data on the sociodemographic profile and the professional profile; The QVP-35 questionnaire, to evaluate the quality of life at work; The MBI-GS inventory, to determine the occurrence of Burnout Syndrome; The SPS-6 scale, for the analysis of presenteeism. The data presented by 47 department managers of a Federal Judicial Institution, based in the city of São Paulo, were analyzed by means of Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), seeking to correlate the component dimensions of each of the questionnaires applied. It was observed that, in relation to the sociodemographic and professional profiles of the respondents, the relevant variable in relation to the presence or absence of Burnout Syndrome was schooling. Similarly, of the analyzed dimensions of QVP-35 versus Burnout Syndrome, the main associations were found with the variable "Work Related Discomfort". Among the significant correlations obtained between Burnout Syndrome and presenteeism, Emotional Exhaustion was evidenced as a preponderant element. The contributions of the research allowed providing important subsidies for the Administration of the Court, aiming at facing the problems identified and the formulation of quality of life policies at work with a preventive bias of health problems in the institutional scope. From the academic point of view, the research made it possible to advance in the consolidation of the approach to quality of life at work, presenteeism and Burnout Syndrome and to establish indications for new studies. / O adoecimento e sua relação com a falta de assiduidade ou presença no trabalho tem sido foco de diversos estudos, representando uma realidade que gera altos custos para as instituições tanto públicas quanto privadas e, principalmente, para o trabalhador. Diante disso, este estudo teve por objetivo avaliar a correlação entre qualidade de vida no trabalho de gestores de uma instituição judiciária federal, presenteísmo e Síndrome de Burnout, transtorno gerado em situação de trabalho e relacionado ao absenteísmo, aposentadorias precoces e baixa produtividade. Trata-se de um estudo de caso de caráter descritivo-exploratório, de corte transversal, sob uma avaliação quantitativa, adotando-se a estatística multivariada para análise dos dados. Foram utilizados os seguintes instrumentos: questionário contendo dados do perfil sociodemográfico e do perfil profissional; o questionário QVP-35, para avaliação da qualidade de vida no trabalho; o inventário MBI-GS, para determinar a ocorrência da Síndrome de Burnout; a escala SPS-6, para análise do presenteísmo. Procedeu-se ao exame dos dados apresentados por 47 gestores de departamentos de uma Instituição Judiciária Federal, sediada na cidade de São Paulo, por meio de Análise de variância (ANOVA), buscando correlacionar as dimensões componentes de cada um dos questionários aplicados. Observou-se que, em relação aos perfis sociodemográfico e profissional dos respondentes, a variável relevante em relação à presença ou não de Síndrome de Burnout foi a escolaridade. De modo similar, das dimensões analisadas do QVP-35 frente à Síndrome de Burnout, as principais associações foram encontradas com a variável “Desconforto Relacionado ao Trabalho”. Dentre as correlações significativas obtidas entre a Síndrome de Burnout e o presenteísmo, evidenciou-se a Exaustão Emocional como elemento preponderante. Os aportes da pesquisa permitiram fornecer subsídios importantes para a Administração do Tribunal, visando ao enfrentamento dos problemas constatados e à formulação de políticas de qualidade de vida no trabalho com viés preventivo dos agravos à saúde no âmbito institucional. Do ponto de vista acadêmico, a pesquisa possibilitou tanto avançar na consolidação da abordagem da qualidade de vida no trabalho, presenteísmo e Síndrome de Burnout quanto estabelecer indicações para novos estudos.

The thesis deals with understanding the interpretation of life story, important people and agency in life story of young adult being expose to an adverse effect of their family. The theoretical part is focused on life story and life story work, namely methods of create life story book. The thesis defined young adult in institutional and foster care, their needs and rights. The special chapter is life story work with traumatized children. The empirical part consist of analysis of four autobiographical narratives collected by the method of narrative interview, life story book and lifeline. The collected information are analysed with holistic-content, holistic-formal and categorical-formal analysis. This work includes feedback participants in research probe reconstruction of life story and life story work. At the conclusion of work are recommended other methods for further research.

Påverkan av post-COVID hybridarbetsmodell på anställdas arbetslivsbalans / Influence of Post-COVID Hybrid Work Model on Employees´ Work-Life Balance

Denna studie undersöker hur hybridarbetsmodellen påverkar anställdas arbetslivsbalans i Sverige efter Covid-19-pandemin. Det finns en brist på kvalitativa insikter i detta område, med särskilt fokus på deras personliga erfarenheter och upplevelser inom hybridarbetsmodellen. En kvalitativ studie genomfördes med hjälp av semi-strukturerade intervjuer med tio respondenter samt en tematisk analys med en induktiv ansats. Söktermer relaterade till COVID-19, hybridarbetsmodell, arbetslivsbalans, arbetar hemifrån, arbetar på kontoret, anställda och post-COVID-19 användes för att hitta relevanta studier. Resultaten visade att hybridarbetsmodellen förbättrar anställdas arbetslivsbalans genom att erbjuda flexibilitet, förbättrad arbetsmiljö, ekonomiska fördelar samt möjligheter för social interaktion och kommunikation. Hybridarbete minskar pendling och ger ökad flexibilitet, men introducerar även utmaningar som ergonomiska problem vid hemarbete och minskad social interaktion med kollegor. Utmaningar med att upprätthålla gränser mellan arbete och privatliv identifierades också. För att förklara förändringar i organisationer användes institutionell teori, medan resursbaserad teori användes för att förstå hur resurser kan bidra till en förbättrad arbetsmiljö. Studien bidrar genom att adressera hur arbetsgivare kan stödja anställdas balans mellan arbete och privatliv. Sammanfattningsvis visar studien att hybridarbetsmodellen, trots sina utmaningar, erbjuder betydande fördelar som kan bidra till förbättrad arbetslivsbalans och välbefinnande för anställda. / Purpose: This study aims to increase understanding of the impact of the hybridwork model on employees´ work-life balance in the post-COVID-19 era, while also identifying the advantages and disadvantages associated with this workmodel. Design/Methodology/Approach: A qualitative empirical study was conducted using semi-structured interviews analysed through thematic analysis with an inductive approach. The search terms included phrases related to the hybrid workmodel, work-life balance, work from home, work from the office, employees, and post COVID-19. Thorough screening of titles, abstracts, and full texts was performed to select studies that met the inclusion criteria.   Findings: The hybrid work model enhances employees´ work-life balance, encompassing various themes, including flexibility, the work environment, economic advantages, social interaction and communication, technological role, and challenges/boundaries between work and private life. Additionally, advantages and disadvantages were considered in this study. While these themes offer benefits such as flexible time and reduced absences from work and travel expenses, they also present disadvantages such as a lack of ergonomic furniture when working at home, weakened bonds between colleagues, concerns about maintaining a strong organizational culture, and potential decreases in collaboration and cohesiveness in team performance.   Research Limitations/Implications: This study is limited to ten (10) employees working in white-collar jobs in Sweden, and further research should include bluecollar workers and increase the number of respondents to gain deeper insights and understanding into the impact of the hybrid work model on employees´ work-life balance. Furthermore, the study solely focuses on the perspective and experiences of employees, and it could be beneficial to consider both the viewpoints of employers and employees in future research. Originality/Value: This study contributes to existing organizational policies and regulations by providing insights into how organizations can improve their support for employees to achieve a healthy balance between work and private life. By highlighting both the advantages and disadvantages associated with this workmodel in the post-COVID-19 era, organizations can better understand the importance of their role as employers in balancing employees' work life balance in the current hybrid work environment.

Les dimensions négligées de l'évaluation de la performance : les valeurs et la qualité de vie au travail

L’objet de cette thèse est l’élaboration d’un modèle logique de mesure du maintien des valeurs, ainsi que son opérationnalisation afin d’entreprendre l’évaluation de la performance des systèmes de santé. Le maintien des valeurs est l’une des quatre fonctions de la théorie de l’action sociale de T.Parsons permettant d’analyser les systèmes d’action. Les autres fonctions sont l’adaptation, la production et l’atteinte des buts. Cette théorie est la base du modèle EGIPSS (évaluation globale et intégrée de la performance des systèmes de santé), dans lequel cette thèse s’insère. La fonction étudiée correspond, dans l’oeuvre de T.Parsons, au sous-système culturel. Elle renvoie à l’intangible, soit à l’univers symbolique par lequel l’action prend son sens et les fonctions du système s’articulent. Le modèle logique de mesure du maintien des valeurs est structuré autour de deux concepts principaux, les valeurs individuelles et organisationnelles et la qualité de vie au travail. À travers les valeurs individuelles et organisationnelles, nous mesurons la hiérarchie et l’intensité des valeurs, ainsi que le niveau de concordance interindividuelle et le degré de congruence entre les valeurs individuelles et organisationnelles. La qualité de vie au travail est composée de plusieurs concepts permettant d’analyser et d’évaluer l’environnement de travail, le climat organisationnel, la satisfaction au travail, les réactions comportementales et l’état de santé des employés. La mesure de ces différents aspects a donné lieu à la conception de trois questionnaires et de trente indicateurs. Ma thèse présente, donc, chacun des concepts sélectionnés et leurs articulations, ainsi que les outils de mesure qui ont été construits afin d’évaluer la dimension du maintien des valeurs. Enfin, nous exposons un exemple d’opérationnalisation de ce modèle de mesure appliqué à deux hôpitaux dans la province du Mato Grosso du Sud au Brésil. Cette thèse se conclut par une réflexion sur l’utilisation de l’évaluation comme outil de gestion soutenant l’amélioration de la performance et l’imputabilité. Ce projet comportait un double enjeu. Tout d’abord, la conceptualisation de la dimension du maintien des valeurs à partir d’une littérature abondante, mais manquant d’intégration théorique, puis la création d’outils de mesure permettant de saisir autant les aspects objectifs que subjectifs des valeurs et de la qualité de vie au travail. En effet, on trouve dans la littérature de nombreuses disciplines et de multiples courants théoriques tels que la psychologie industrielle et organisationnelle, la sociologie, les sciences infirmières, les théories sur le comportement organisationnel, la théorie des organisations, qui ont conçu des modèles pour analyser et comprendre les perceptions, les attitudes et les comportements humains dans les organisations. Ainsi, l’intérêt scientifique de ce projet découle de la création d’un modèle dynamique et intégrateur offrant une synthèse des différents champs théoriques abordant la question de l’interaction entre les perceptions individuelles et collectives au travail, les conditions objectives de travail et leurs influences sur les attitudes et les comportements au travail. D’autre part, ce projet revêt un intérêt opérationnel puisqu’il vise à fournir aux décideurs du système de santé des connaissances et données concernant un aspect de la performance fortement négligé par la plupart des modèles internationaux d’évaluation de la performance. / The purpose of my thesis is to develop a logical model to measure the latency that we also call the values maintenance and its operationalization in order to evaluate health systems performance. Latency is one of the four functions of the general theory of action developed by T. Parsons. His theory is the basis of the EGIPSS model (Comprehensive and Integrated Assessment of the Performance of Health Systems), in which my thesis is inserted. The function of latency is viewed by Parsons as a sub-cultural system. This function reflects the intangible or symbolic universe in which the action takes its meaning. It connects the four functions of the system together. The logical model for measuring latency is structured around two main dimensions, individual and organizational values and quality of life at work. Through individual and organizational values, we measure the intensity and the hierarchy of values, and the level of concordance between individuals and the degree of congruence between the individual and organizational values. Quality of work life is composed of several concepts to analyze and assess work environment, organizational climate, job satisfaction, behavioural responses and health status of employees. The measurement of these aspects has led to the design of questionnaires and thirty three indicators. Thus, my thesis presents each of the selected concepts, as well as, their articulation and measurement tools that were built to assess the latency function. Finally, I present an example of the operationalization of the measurement model and the results of the evaluation which have been taken place in two hospitals in the state of Mato Grosso of south in Brazil. This thesis ends with a reflection on the use of evaluation as a management tool supporting performance improvement and accountability. This project involved a dual challenge. On the one hand, the conceptualization of the construct of maintenance of values from an extensive literature, but lacking of theoretical integration, and the creation of measurement tools to capture all aspects of objective and subjective values and quality of work life. Indeed, we find in the literature many disciplines and multiple theoretical approaches such as industrial and organizational psychology, sociology, nursing, theories of organizational behavior, organizational theory, which developed models to analyze and understand the perceptions, attitudes and human behavior in organizations. Thus, the scientific interest of this project arises from the creation of a dynamic and integrated model which synthesizes different theoretical fields addressing the issue of the interaction between individual and collective perceptions at work, the objective conditions of work and their influence on attitudes and behaviors at work. Esta tese de doutorado está centrada na trajetória de vida de Pierre Verger e procura analisar sua inserção no mundo da fotografia. Focalizando o início da carreira, o trabalho dá ênfase a um período pouco conhecido da vida do fotógrafo e, para tanto, a pesquisa privilegiou, a compreensão das ligações de Pierre Verger com o núcleo familiar, dos laços desenvolvidos no grupo de amigos artistas e das demandas do mercado de trabalho. A família proporcionou-lhe o primeiro mergulho no mundo das imagens através dos negócios do pai, mas Verger guardava restrições em relação às obrigações sociais que a posição familiar na sociedade burguesa lhe exigia. Com a adesão ao grupo dos amigos infreqüentáveis, cujos integrantes viviam de maneira muito diferente da qual estava acostumado, Verger estabeleceu uma rede de contatos, formou grupos de trabalho e viagens, dos quais resultaram, a sua iniciação como fotógrafo. O mercado foi cenário tanto de concorrências e disputas quanto também impôs e sofreu a imposição do gosto predominante do período e, desta forma, as imagens que circulavam publicamente provinham dos projetos individuais dos fotógrafos e das encomendas, sendo destinadas às demandas da imprensa, da publicidade, da moda, dos editores de livros e das exposições. Entre o desejo de se livrar dos moldes da família burguesa, a adesão ao grupo de amigos livres e as exigências do mercado, Verger encontrou um caminho para firmar-se como profissional através da produção fotografia de caráter documental e humanista, 14 anos antes de sua chegada ao Brasil. / This doctoral (PhD) thesis is focused on Pierre Vergers life trajectory and searchs to analyse his integration in the photography world. Standing out the beginning of his career this work puts emphasis on a time not much knowing of the photographer life and for this the reasearch has privileged the understanding of Pierre Vergers relations with the core family, with the relations among the group of artists who were his friends and with the market demands. The family provides him the first entrance in the images world throughout his father business. Verger had some restrictions referring to the social obligations that the family status demanded from him in the bourgeoisie society. Verger had settled several contacts when he joined to the not recommended friends who lived in a different way which Verger was accostumed. He settled work groups and travels which had as result his initiation as a photographer. Photography market was in great increase in the between-wars period and had imposed so much competitions and disputes as also the wishing for some subjects which became photographal and, in this way, the images when didnt come from individual projetcs were, more often, produced according to some orders from customers: press, publicity, fashion and book publishers. Among the wish of releasing from the bourgeoisie family, his participation to the not recommended groups of friends and the market demands, Verger had found a path to stand out as profissional throughout the documental and humanist photography production, 14 years before his arrival to Brazil.

Para tanto a pesquisa possui caráter exploratório e descritivo e tem como proposta discutir, quais os benefícios que a Ergonomia pode trazer para o ambiente da Biblioteca Central do CEFET/RJ e para os funcionários que nela estão inseridos de modo que se possa contribuir para que eles tenham um ambiente mais saudável e seguro e consequentemente mais Qualidade de Vida no Trabalho. A ferramenta utilizada neste estudo foi a Análise Ergonômica do Trabalho que propiciou através de sua análise corrigir e propor um ambiente mais adequado e como consequência uma melhoria na qualidade de vida do trabalho dos funcionários inseridos na biblioteca em questão. Para o alcance deste objetivo fez se necessário: identificar as condições de trabalho, detectar os possíveis riscos, conhecer as atividades e a percepção dos funcionários pertencentes a este ambiente em análise para identificar suas reais necessidades. Este estudo também fez comparação com os resultados e a realidade da biblioteca citada com as normas de ergonomia em vigência. Foi verificado após a análise que os principais fatores ergonômicos ligados ao desconforto estão relacionados com as condições ambientais (iluminação, ruído, temperatura e mobiliário). As contribuições desta pesquisa contemplaram: o ambiente laboral estudado na forma de propiciar melhor QVT, a Instituição na maneira de cooperar com resultados mais positivos e ao mundo acadêmico em geral. / This essay is based on a case study that uses based on Ergonomics, since the current scenario of working environments, face the accelerated changes in the work world, they produced negative effects such as increased incidences of disease and of departures at work. For both exploratory and descriptive character has research and its proposal to discuss, what are the benefits that ergonomics can bring to the environment of the Central Library at CEFET/RJ and for employees that are inserted so that it can contribute to them to have a safe and healthy environment and consequently more quality of life at work. The tool used in this study was the ergonomic analysis of the work provided by your correct analysis and propose a more suitable environment and an improvement in the quality of life of staff entered in the library in question. To achieve this goal made if necessary: identify working conditions, detect possible risks, learn about the activities and the perception of officials belonging to this environment under review to identify their real needs. This study also did comparison with the results and the reality of the library quoted with the standards of ergonomics in term. It was verified after the analysis the main factors linked to ergonomic discomfort are related to environmental conditions (lighting, noise, temperature and furniture). The contributions of this research involved: the working environment studied in the form of providing better QVT, the institution on way to cooperate with more positive results and the academic world.
