La política exterior es un tema de relevancia constante, un asunto estatal fundamental y que, junto a la política de defensa, son las únicas políticas públicas que tienen una orientación predominantemente internacional. En los sistemas presidenciales, el presidente, sobre todo en Latinoamérica, ha tenido un lugar privilegiado en la definición y conducción de política exterior; pese a esto, aún falta mucha literatura actualizada al respecto. Es por lo anterior, que se desarrolla el siguiente análisis, bajo la pregunta general ¿Cuáles son los principales aspectos de la política exterior mexicana y chilena que los presidentes destacan ante el Debate General de las Naciones Unidas y en qué forma (frame) lo hacen? Con la particularidad de ser estudiado a través de dos teorías complementarias y actuales: el Foreign Policy Analysis y el Framing analysis. / Foreign policy is a subject of continuing relevance, a key state issue, and along with defense policy, are the only public policies that have a predominantly international orientation. The president has been privileged in setting the agenda of foreign policy in presidential systems, especially in Latin America; however, there are very few studies in Latin America explaining this issue. This analysis focuses in the following question: What are the main foreign policy’s aspects that the presidents of Mexico and Chile highlight in the General Debate of the United Nations General Assembly and by which frame they do it? This will be studied through important concepts of the Foreign Policy Analysis and Framing analysis approaches.

The aim of this thesis is to identify current trends of urbanization of Mexico City as an example, which is one of the most urbanized cities in the world. This paper examines the impacts of urbanization in terms of increasing social and health problems of people in Mexican capital. The theoretical part describes main concepts, current trends of urbanization in developing and developed countries, and its positive and negative impacts. The practical part is focused on a very characteristic of urbanization in Mexico City, on negative impacts which arise, and on measures that the city uses in order to reduce them. The methods that has been used on this topic were literature review, data analysis, comparison and observation. To process the data, official statistics were also used.

Filiando-nos ao posicionamento teórico da Semântica do Acontecimento, procuramos caracterizar a distinção entre a noção de referência e a noção de designação. Nesse sentido, designar na linguagem não tem a ver meramente com a identificação de um objeto no mundo. A significação de uma expressão referencial é constituída no funcionamento da língua, no confronto de dizeres e sentidos diversos e é esse espaço de constituição de sentido que produz a designação. Para Guimarães (2002), esses espaços são configurados por acontecimentos enunciativos e é aí que se dão as cenas enunciativas, que são modos específicos de acesso à palavra. Analisamos, assim, como se constituem os modos de referir o presidente Lula na época da eleição e, por assim dizer, como se constituem as expressões que designam esse sujeito. Os modos de referir recortados constituem a designação do sujeito em questão e, na medida em que as designações mobilizam dizeres e sentidos outros, identificam Lula nos acontecimentos estudados, particularizando-o. Tomamos, para isso, seqüências de textos extraídos de Veja, Época e Isto É Gente e procuramos mostrar como o espaço enunciativo que faz funcionar esses periódicos é um espaço de política do dizer, em que o dizer se distribui desigualmente. We are on the theoretical position from Semântica do Acontecimento, and we try to establish a distinction between the conception of reference and the conception of designation. Thus, refer in the language is not related to identify an object in the world. The sense of the referent in the language is constituted on language working, where there is a confrontation of several sayings and several senses, and this is the space where the designation is produced. According Guimarães (2002), the spaces of constitution of the sense are configured by acontecimentos enunciativos and the enunciative scenes happen there ¿ enunciative scenes are ways of specific access to speaking. We analyze how the ways of referring the president Lula in election time and, then, how the designative expressions of this person are constituted. The cutting ways of referring designate Lula and, more they make ready other sayings and other senses, more they identify Lula in those enunciations. For that, we took sequences of texts from Veja, Época e Isto É Gente and we tried to show how the enunciative space, where those magazines work, is a political space, where the speaking is not distributed equally. Neste caso, procuro desvendar para o leitor, formas e práticas de leitura iconográficas que ocorreram no final do século XIX comparando-as com as práticas de leitura de imagem do final do século XX. É importante destacar que trabalho as metodologias utilizadas para realizar as análises iconograficas. Bem como, traço um panorama que procura desvendar o estado das pesquisas que focalizam os temas sobre livros didáticos e sobre as ilustrações nos livros no Brasil. A partir do estudo teórico parto para as análises de livros didáticos de história, um do final do século XIX, um do início do século XX e um do final do século XX. Faço portanto, uma análise das diferentes práticas de leitura iconográfica indicadas por esses documentos. It is important to detach that work the used methodologies to carry through the iconographic analyses. Amparo Davila's writing style is characterized by circumventing the boundaries between the real and the fantastic and between the known and the unknown. The author creates a narrative that evokes horror in the reader by mixing the uncanny of the unknown with the reality of the world. This study proposes that the sinister in Davila's stories are created by abandonment. This abandonment is the peremptory element of Davilian narrative and can be seen and examined throughout the author's literary work. The abandonment wields a mechanism of loneliness, madness, hopelessness and chaos that eventually provokes the sinister. The element of abandonment disturbs the main character of the story and makes him fall into an abyss from which he or she cannot escape. This abandonment is not always obvious, since most of the time the abandonment is veil by a halo of gothic and fantastic elements. The present thesis has the task of breaking down the different types of abandonment that are presented throughout this narrative, its sinister function and the theoretical and historical interpretation of the various abandonments both personal and collective that Amparo Davila presents. The route of abandonment proposed in this thesis is explained in the following three stories: "El desayuno" (1961), "La quinta de las celosías" (1959) and "La señorita Julia" (1959).

La presente Tesis Doctoral, Tiempo vegetal. Referencias botánicas en la escultura mexicana contemporánea (1990-2010), aborda el estudio de las manifestaciones e implicaciones que el referente vegetal ha tenido y tiene en la escultura contemporánea mexicana. A través de la documentación aportada en este estudio, así como de las reflexiones en torno a las manifestaciones artísticas analizadas, se hace patente que la utilización de referencias botánicas en la práctica artística durante la última década del siglo XX y la primera del siglo XXI es, sin duda, un significativo indicio del interés que despiertan las relaciones entre Arte y Naturaleza en el contexto mexicano. Unas relaciones que ponen de manifiesto la importancia del constructo de lo natural y sus derivas conceptuales como un ámbito de investigación y creatividad dentro del arte contemporáneo. La investigación realizada se inicia con una aproximación al mundo vegetal y a las relaciones que histórica y culturalmente el ser humano ha mantenido con éste, para lo que se ha recurrido a autores que, procedentes de diversos ámbitos del conocimiento la han abordado. Desde Homero, Demócrito y Lucrecio hasta Goethe, Foucault y Guattari. Esta diversidad referencial nos ha permitido trabajar desde perspectivas interdisciplinares en áreas como la simbología, la mitología, la antropología, la estética y/o la sociología. Para ello, nuestro estudio ha partido de las reflexiones y aportaciones realizadas, entre otros, por Worringer, Dorfles, Tatarkiewicz y Deleuze o por Eliade, Cirlot y Bachofen. Si bien durante el periodo acotado en la tesis doctoral (1990-2010), la práctica escultórica mexicana presenta un creciente interés por la incorporación del elemento vegetal, existen antecedentes previos que nos han llevado a considerar la obra de autores que pueden calificarse como precursores en relación a esta temática, como son los casos de Helen Escobedo, Jan Hendrix o Marta Palau. / Abarca Martínez, I. Publicación a texto completo no autorizada por el autor. / Describe el sistema de pronombres personales del mixteco de las variantes lingüísticas de San Bartolomé Yucuañe y Magdalena Peñasco. Aporta el registro de datos lingüísticos específicos, con el fin de mostrar esa diversidad en la familia mixteca. Promueve la investigación académica y el valor de la lengua materna, ya que la mayoría de los hablantes de la comunidad de San Bartolomé Yucuañe piensan que su idioma no se puede escribir ni leer. Concluye que los pronombres en el mixteco de San Bartolomé Yucuañe involucran al hablante y al oyente, en el sentido de que antes de realizar el acto de habla se considera el género, la edad y la cercanía: familiaridad (tutear) o respeto (formal). Por otro lado, en la variante lingüística de Magdalena Peñasco los pronombres de primera y segunda persona sí consideran la familiaridad (tutear) y respeto (formal). Lo que vemos que no se considera en esta variante lingüística es el género ni grado de intimidad, que tampoco se aplica para los pronombres de tercera persona de dicha variante. Por tal motivo, se deduce que las variantes lingüísticas del idioma mixteco tienen sus propios rasgos culturales y lingüísticos, a pesar de ser un mismo idioma. / Tesis
