Moderní podpora prodeje pomocí mobilních technologií / Modern sales promotion using mobile technologies

The diploma thesis deals to design and develop mobile application for sales promotion in retail chains. Mobile application is created on base of designed service for sales support, that subject and design is written in thesis too. Mobile application uses the most modern technologies, which are now available in mobile devices. This technologies ensuring identification of customer in store, share marketing information to customer and other possibilities gaining detailed information about shopping behavior of customer. Thanks to those data is possible analyze customer by different methods which are in thesis described too. Based on this analyses it can be streamlined sales, shopping and other retail processes. Main aim of thesis is make usable mobile application which promote sales in retail chain. Theoretical part of thesis deals to describe general marketing on which is based analytical marketing resp. Data-Driven Marketing. Next part of this chapters is defining of retail, explaining its specifics and showing interleave to modern technologies. Concrete possibilities of modern technologies is presented in last chapter of theoretical part which is primary focused on mobile application developing in IBM Worklight environment. Practical part of thesis is divided to two chapters where first chapter deals to description designing service for sales promotion. Description is built by architecture, data flows and design of communication interfaces. In second chapter is described design of mobile application based on the service, from user interface to technological architecture. In this part of thesis the mobile application is developed, provided as a OpenSource with all source codes and available online as a demo version. The main output of thesis is mentioned mobile application, which is detailed described in end of practical part. There is specified link to online available version of this application. Mobile application contains diverse functionality for customer and its aims to test usability of modern possibilities in real-life.

Aim of this master thesis is to determine whether the introduction of new functionality into mobile application based on existing competitive trends, can grant selected application a new position on the market. To evaluate the hypothesis we used data collection and feedback from users. Thesis shows introduces various aspects associated with product management in practice. The theoretical part defines the product management and mobile applications as products, product innovation and describes the methodology used within management of the product. The goal of the practical part is the selection process of the new functionality, which is corporate program, description of all aspects of the preparation of the functionality and consequently its development. Based on the data and the feedback from users we evaluate its contribution to the company Liftago and its new positioning on the market.

The app´s name is Digital Closet and its purpose is to organize your closet. Thesis includes a description of a mobile application in general and the well-known operation systems. Then one of the operation systems was set as a basic requirement for suggested application. This thesis also in part analyzes mobile applications at fashion industry. In conclusion, two surveys were conducted. First survey aimed at consumer market and the second one at clothing stores.

Lima ha tenido un crecimiento constante de consumidores que cuidan su salud y se alimentan sanamente, sobre todo en estos tiempos de pandemia la buena alimentación con frutas que suministran vitaminas y antioxidantes ayuda a mantener un cuerpo sano y vigoroso, nuestro producto se va a vender al consumidor final por medio de una aplicación y pagina web que va ayudar a que las personas lo encuentren con facilidad. Designing a Shared Listening Experience for an Audiobook Streaming Service : A UX and UI Project

This study, done in collaboration with Storytel, aimed to investigate whether a shared audiobook live listening experience would add value to users of the Storytel app and how such a feature could be designed in terms of User Experience and User Interface. The purpose was to determine the minimal viable product (MVP) and if live listening with others is interesting in itself or else, what is the most basic interaction type required in connection to the listening. The aim was also to design the optimal solution, beyond technical, time and/or prioritization constraints. The method used was a combination of the IDEO design process with three phases (Inspiration, Ideation and Implementation), and Holtzblatt and Beyer’s (2016) five steps of Contextual Design (Gathering User Data, Compiling User Data, Ideation with User Data, Defining the Product and Making it Real). To investigate user opinions and requirements, surveys were sent out to Storytel users and authors on the four markets Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and India, resulting in a total of 448 responses. Based on this data, an extensive design work in three phases was carried out to achieve the result of a final design prototype of a live listening feature inside the Storytel app. In order to validate the design choices continuously in each phase, 15 user tests were achieved, whereof 4 initial tests, 10 interactive user tests and 1 focus group interview. The results show that there is certainly an interest for such a feature among some users, and the interest is bigger if an author participates. In general, users on the Indian market are more interested in the feature than users on the European markets. Authors are more interested than the average user in live listening and interacting with its listeners. An important finding was that the feature must include an element of interaction to make it relevant and interesting to users, which is why a prototype including emoji reactions was proposed as an MVP. In this version, the possibility to discuss is linked to an outsourced forum such as Google Meet. For the optimal design, a chat was included inside the application as this was concluded highly desired by users.

Behovet av en mobilapplikation som stöd vid amning : En kvalitativ intervjustudie / The need for a breastfeeding application to support breastfeeding : A qualitative interview study

WHO rekommenderar helamning upp till sex månaders ålder och delamning upp till två årsålder eller längre. Enligt Socialstyrelsen helammades endast 13 procent av de barn födda år 2017 vid sex månaders ålder. Att utesluta amningsperioden ur kvinnans reproduktiva cykel, kan leda till negativa aspekter för både mamman och barnet senare livet. Den viktigaste faktorn för att etablera amning är stöd. Har de blivande föräldrarna förkunskaper resulterar det i en ökad ansträngning till att etablera amning. Dagens mammor är vana att enkelt kunna söka information och stöd på internet dygnet runt. Bristen på lämpliga appar som stöd vid amning har föranlett denna studie, vars syfte är att undersöka nyblivna mammors önskemål och behov av en applikation som stöd vid amning. Studien är en kvalitativ intervjustudie med halvstrukturerade intervjuer. Totalt utfördes 10 individuella intervjuer. Intervjuerna analyserades genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys med en induktiv ansats. Studiens resultat har utmynnat i tre kategorier: Amningsinformation underlättar amningen, Vikten av att få personlig kontakt med amningsvården samt Amningsberättelsen som stöd. Kategorin Amningsinformation underlättar amningen har delats upp i fyra underkategorier. Det centrala i resultatet är att nyblivna mammor har ett stort behov av lättillgänglig information, stöd och kontakt baserad på vetenskapligt baserad kunskap under sin amningsresa men även under graviditeten. Det naturliga sättet att söka information på idag är via smartphones eller datorer men risk finns att man utsätts för felaktiga råd. Genom en amingsapplikation baserad på vetenskaplig kunskap skulle nyblivna mammor enkelt få tillförlitlig information och stöd vilket kan bidra till längre amningsduration. / WHO recommends exclusive breastfeeding to six months of age and partial breastfeeding up to two years of age or longer. Only 13% of children born in 2017 were exclusively breastfed at the age of six months. Eliminating the breastfeeding period from a woman’s reproductive cycle can lead to negative aspects for mother and child later in life. The most important factors to establish breastfeeding is support and knowledge. Mothers of today are used to being able to easily search for information and support on the internet at all times. The lack of suitable apps as support during breastfeeding has resulted in this study, the aim of which is to examine the wishes and needs of new mothers with regards to an application as support during breastfeeding.The study is a qualitative interview study with in total 10 semi-structured interviews. The interviews were analyzed through a qualitative content analysis with an inductive approach.The findings of the study have resulted in three categories: Breastfeeding information facilitates breastfeeding, The importance of having contact with breastfeeding care and The breastfeeding story as support.The central finding is that new mothers have a great need of easily accessible information, support and contact based on evidence-backed knowledge during their breastfeeding journey but also during pregnancy. Today, the natural way to search for information is via smartphones or computers. Through a breastfeeding application based on scientific knowledge new mothers would have easy access to reliable information and support which can contribute to a longer duration of breastfeeding.

Digitalt stöd vid sårbehandling : Sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av att använda appen OneWound: En kvalitativ intervjustudie / Digital support in wound treatment : Nurses experiences with using the OneWound app

Bakgrund: Äldres behov av vård kommer att öka med en åldrande befolkning och fler kommer att drabbas av svårläkta sår. För att möta det stigande vårdbehovet behövs digitala verktyg vid sårbehandling, som kan bidra till trygghet, tillgänglighet och att vårdens resurser används effektivt. Specialistsjuksköterskor har ett utökat ansvar vid utveckling och implementering av digitala verktyg. Genom digitala verktyg ska vård ges utifrån individens behov men det är en utmaning att utveckla verktyg som är personcentrerade. Idag finns det verksamheter i Sverige som arbetar med sårbehandling via appen OneWound. Syfte: Att undersöka sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av appen OneWound vid sårbehandling. Metod: Kvalitativ intervjustudie med induktiv ansats som analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys, vilket mynnade ut i tre kategorier och åtta subkategorier. Resultat: Sjuksköterskorna utvecklades i sin profession genom teoretisk kunskap och användning av OneWound. Sjuksköterskorna kunde möta hinder vid implementering, vilket påverkade användningen. Påverkningsfaktorer beskrevs som personliga egenskaper, tekniska problem och brist på rutiner i verksamheten. Genom användning av OneWound med möjlighet till konsultation av sårexperter upplevde sjuksköterskorna trygghet, arbetsglädje och stöd viaappens funktioner samt vinster på individ- och samhällsnivå som bidrog till hållbar vård och en känsla av att erbjuda en vård av hög kvalité. Slutsats: OneWound tillfredsställde sjuksköterskornas behov av ny kunskap, struktur, och stöd vid sårbehandling. Utifrån ett omvårdnadsperspektiv ger studiens resultat en inblick i de utmaningar som finns vid sårbehandling och de positiva effekter som OneWound bidrar till. Forskning behövs för att utforska patientperspektivet samt hur OneWound erfars i förhållande till traditionell specialistkontakt vid svårläkta sår. / Background: The elderly’s need for care will increase with an aging population and more will suffer from wounds that are hard-to-heal. To meet the rising need for care, digital tools are needed in wound care, which can contribute to safety, accessibility and efficient use of care resources. Specialist nurses have an increased responsibility for the development and implementation of digital tools. Through digital tools, care must be provided based on the individual’s needs. However, it is a challenge to develop tools that are person-centered. Today, there are healthcare providers in Sweden that work with wound care via the OneWound app. Aim: To investigate nurses’ experiences of the OneWound app in wound care. Method: Qualitative interview study with an inductive approach that was analyzed with qualitative content analysis, which resulted in three categories and eight subcategories. Results: The nurses developed in their profession through theoretical knowledge and use of the OneWound app. The nurses faced obstacles during implementation. Impact factors were described as personal characteristics, technical problems and lack of routines. Through the use of OneWound with the possibility to consult wound experts, nurses felt safe, experienced job satisfaction and support through the app's functions as well as gains at the individual and community level that contributed to sustainable care and a sense of offering high quality care.  Conclusion: OneWound satisfied the nurses' need for new knowledge, structure, and support in wound treatment. From a nursing perspective, the results of the study provide an insight into the challenges that exist in wound treatment and the positive effects that the OneWound app contributes to. Further research is needed to explore the patient perspective and how OneWound is experienced in relation to traditional specialist contact when facing hard-to-heal wounds.

Uso de apps móviles para la producción de proyectos audiovisuales en la carrera de Comunicación Audiovisual – UPC

El uso de app móviles para facilitar actividades cotidianas es algo que en los últimos años se ha visto con mayor frecuencia en todas las generaciones. Pero aún existe un amplio panorama a investigar cuando se trata del uso de estas app móviles “mainstream” para uso académico. Esta investigación tiene como finalidad analizar el uso de app móviles en el proceso de preproducción, producción y postproducción de proyectos audiovisuales universitarios. Se investigarán las funciones y funcionalidad de las diferentes apps dentro de cada campo de acción al realizar un proyecto audiovisual. La estrategia metodológica que se utilizará será las entrevistas semi estructuradas. Estas recogerán la percepción de maestros y alumnos de la universidad UPC- Lima Perú pertenecientes a la facultad de Comunicación Audiovisual acerca de el uso de apps móviles en trabajos universitarios. Además se analizará la propuesta de enseñanza/aprendizaje “mobile learning”para contextos universitarios. Para ello nos basaremos en la perspectiva del mobile learning a partir de lo que mencionan autores como Mojarro (2019) y Zambrano (2009) entre otros. ¿Qué percepción tienen los maestros acerca de la misma ?, ¿Qué relación guarda con el uso de apps móviles ?. Son algunas de las preguntas que se resolverán. Además se impulsará la posibilidad a futuro de seguir explorando las ventajas del amplio espectro que tienen las funciones de las aplicaciones móviles. / The use of mobile apps to facilitate everyday activities is something that in recent years has been seen more frequently in all generations. But there is still a wide panorama to investigate when it comes to the use of these "mainstream" mobile apps for academic use. This research aims to analyze the use of mobile apps in the process of pre-production, production and post-production of university audiovisual projects. The functions and functionality of the different apps will be investigated within each field of action when carrying out an audiovisual project. The methodological strategy to be used will be semi-structured interviews. These will collect the perception of teachers and students of the university UPC- Lima Peru belonging to the faculty of Audiovisual Communication about the use of mobile apps in university work. In addition, we will analyze the teaching/learning proposal "mobile learning" for university contexts. For this purpose, we will be based on the mobile learning perspective from what is mentioned by authors such as. Mojarro (2019) and Zambrano (2009) among others. Aplicación móvil utilizando tecnología GPS para automatizar el proceso de ventas por emergencia para una empresa del rubro farmacéutico veterinario de la actividad hípica

En el mundo hípico, los caballos sufren frecuentes lesiones debido al esfuerzo que exigen las continuas competencias. Es por ello, que requieren atenciones veterinarias por emergencias con la visita o atención de un veterinario. Por lo anterior, estas atenciones se complican debido a que no se conoce la disponibilidad del veterinario, ni la distancia hacia el punto de origen de la emergencia, por ende, no pueden concretar las visitas, algunas emergencias se quedan sin atención poniendo en riesgo la salud y la vida del equino y en consecuencia se pierden ventas de productos y/o medicinas. Nuestro proyecto se basa en la automatización del proceso de Ventas por Emergencia gracias al desarrollo de una aplicación móvil que se encargará de que los clientes puedan emitir una alerta de emergencia veterinaria, a su vez, pueden visualizar en un mapa los veterinarios disponibles y con ello saber cuál es la distancia y tiempo aproximado de llegada hacia la emergencia, así como también, los veterinarios podrán emitir sus indicaciones médicas y los pedidos necesarios para ser atendidos en un corto plazo. Esta reducción de tiempos y aumento en la atención de emergencias que brinda la ejecución de este proyecto contribuye a optimizar la atención y la satisfacción del cliente, el incremento de las ventas y sobre todo el cuidado de la salud y la vida de los equinos que dependen de estas atenciones médicas veterinarias. / In the equestrian world, horses frequently suffer injuries due to the demands of continuous competition. That is why they require assistance from veterinarians due to emergencies or just routine appointments. These visits become complex because the veterinarian's availability is unknown or how remote the vet is from a location. As a result, veterinarians don't show up to the scheduled visits. In some cases, emergencies are left unattended, risking the health and life of the equine, missing on the selling of products and medication. Our project is based on the automatization of the process of emergency sales thanks to the development of a web and mobile application allowing clients to enter a vet alert. Clients can access a map and view all available veterinarians in the area to identify the distance and estimated arrival time to the emergency. The veterinarians can also forward their medical recommendations and any necessary short-term request. This reduction in times and increase in emergency care provided by the execution of this project contributes to optimizing customer service and satisfaction, increasing sales and, above all, the health and life care of the equines that depend on of these veterinary medical cares. / Tesis

La Municipalidad de San Martin de Porres junto con la subgerencia de transporte del distrito desarrollaron el aplicativo móvil Viajo Seguro SMP en abril del 2019. El problema de comunicación que se encontró fue una interfaz que no aportaba a la experiencia del usuario de mototaxis y tampoco solucionaba el problema de informalidad en el distrito. Teniendo en cuenta que en la actualidad circulan más de 8000 mil vehículos menores, de los cuales solo 2800 son formales. Este problema se vuelve relevante para el diseño gráfico porque encontramos fallas en el diseño de interfaz y también la necesidad de un sistema gráfico donde el usuario pueda identificar de manera visual una mototaxi formal. La propuesta de solución es una mejora al aplicativo, dándole la función principal de pedir una mototaxi, y creando todo un sistema gráfico que apoye a la identificación de vehículos formales. Los resultados arrojaron una mejor experiencia en el usuario, haciendo que sea una opción más rápida y segura. / The Municipality of San Martin de Porres together with the district's transportation submanagement developed the Viajo Seguro SMP mobile application in April 2019. The communication problem found was an interface design that did not contribute to the motorcycle taxi user experience and nor did it solve the problem of informality in the district. Taking into account that currently more than 8,000 thousand smaller vehicles circulate, of which only 2,800 are formal. This problem becomes relevant for graphic design because we find flaws in the UI design and also the need for a graphic system where the user can visually identify a formal motorcycle taxi. The solution proposal is an improvement to the application, giving it the main function of ordering a motorcycle taxi, and creating a whole graphic system that supports the identification of formal vehicles.
