Rizikos grupės mokinių mokymosi motyvacijos ypatumai / The Aspects of Motivation for Learning in School Learners' Risk Group

Tarbūnienė, Lina 16 June 2005 (has links)
Children who have stopped attending school and do not have firm educational, cognition and activity motivation are disappointed about possibility to study, and the losses of learning they themselves and the society experience are long-lasting: their illiteracy makes it harder for them to participate in the society’s activities, social and economic insecurity as well as the probability to belong to socially isolated groups grow. The aim of the research was to state the reasons which weaken pupils’ motivation to study and encourage non-attendance and reluctance to learn. The object of the research was pupils of the 5th – 10th forms who belong to the risk group: 1) those who do not attend school; 2) those who attend it badly; 3) those who are unsuccessful in their studies. The following tasks were set during the research: 1) having analyzed pedagogical-psychological literature to present the concept of the motivation to study, to clarify the reasons for reluctance to learn; 2) to investigate the peculiarities of the motivation to study characteristic of the pupils of the 5th-10th forms; 3) to analyze and compare the differences in the motivation to study in these groups; 4) to compare the reasons for the reluctance to learn. Theoretical and empirical methods as well as the method of mathematical statistics were used in the investigation. The investigation was carried out together with other MA students, 667 informants were questioned. As... [to full text]

Fors, Oskar, Björklöf, Fanny January 2015 (has links)
In this study we aim to investigate what employees at a callcenter see as prospects, opportunities and barriers of learning within a company. To answer the purpose of this essay, two questions were formulated; "What opportunities for learning does employees experience in the company?" and "How can learning in the workplace improve for the sellers?". First, we present what previous research has highlighted regarding workplace learning and learning within the callcenter industry. Afterwards we present ten semi-structured interviews with leaders and sellers within a telecom company in Stockholm. The material from the interviews was analyzed on the basis of previous research and theories in socio-cultural learning. The result shows that there are many conditions and opportunities for learning within the company and that the learning promoted in the workplace, is largely shaped in adaptive oriented way. To further promote the learning of the employees requires a development of their acting-space and the organizational culture within the business.

Jaunesniojo mokyklinio amžiaus vaikų ir jų motinų psichologinių ypatumų sąsajos lyties ir šeimos sudėties aspektu / Typical psychological relation between junior schoolchildren and their mothers on the bases of sex and family status

Gaigalienė, Irena 06 June 2005 (has links)
A family is the first educational institution where a child acquires his basic social standards. A family is also the most important institution for human socialization having a great influence on the development of a child‘s personality. Parents form the biggest part of a child‘s environment the development of a child‘s personality greatly depends on them. The aim of this work is to analyse the typical psychological relation between junior schoolchildren and their mothers on the bases of sex and family status. 400 people (200 children aged 9-11 and their 200 mothers) took part in a survey. 5 questionnaires were used for assessing children‘s psychological feelings, inside calmness, self - assessment, worries about school and motivation for learning. For assessing their mothers‘ psychological feelings, inside calmness and self – assessment 3 questionnaires were used. While carrying out a survey there were given 3 hypotheses which turned to be partly approved. A significant relation was defined between girls‘ inside calmness and their mothers‘ psychological feelings as well as between their self – assessment, whereas the same kind of relation between boys and their mothers was not confirmed. There was also defined a significant relation between boys‘ worries about school and their mothers‘ psychological feelings. A second hypotheses which states that in a two – parent family there is a closer relation between the children‘s inside calmness, psychological mood at school... [to full text]

Edukace a aktivizace seniorů v sociálních zařízeních / Senior's Education and social mobilization in social facilities

Volfová, Alena January 2013 (has links)
The thesis is focused on Education and motivating seniors in social institutions and it aims to map the possibilities of education for older people. First the theoretical part deals with the current theme of aging, attitudes of the society to the elderly people and also a range of institutional education for seniors. It also points to the fact that the loss of self-sufficiency and social placement into a residential facility must not forcibly terminate social human activity. The author describes the possible pitfalls of seniors' position in the constitutional device, the phase of adaptation and education. Second the practical part compares the qualitative conditions, features of educational work and the satisfaction of seniors with activation - educational programs in various types of residential facilities. The important finding is that a proportionately larger capacity of facilities in increasing the range of educational programs and the satisfaction of educators with creative work. Most of the interviewed seniors are satisfied with educational programs and particularly welcomes a common form of education, aimed at the enhancement of cognitive functions.

Souza, Rosa Andrea Lopes de 02 October 2014 (has links)
This dissertation, set in search of \"History, Philosophy and Culture in Science Education\" line, addressed the insertion of an episode of the History of Science in Biology teaching of basic education. The research, characterized by an inclusive approach of the History of Science in teaching Biology, was guided by the following objectives: 1) develop the study of a historical episode involving the journey of the English naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace (1823-1913) to Brazil in the nineteenth century; 2) develop an empirical study of using episode of the History of Biology in teaching and learning content biology through the development, validation, implementation and evaluation of an instructional sequence; 3) investigate the effects of using of an episode of the History of Biology on motivational and emotional aspects of learning content for students of Biology. A trip to the Amazon Wallace was analyzed according to the methodology of research in History of Science, using primary and secondary sources. The initial training of the researcher and the motivations for the provision of travel were investigated according to the context of the scientific expeditions of the nineteenth century. We also discuss the major contributions he has developed, particularly on Amazonian palm trees. This study generated a material that can serve as a subsidy to the teacher who wishes to address this historical episode in the classroom. From this episode, we created a teaching sequence based on the studies of Wallace on the Amazon palm trees. Palm trees studied by Wallace served as the basis for students to carry out activities related to biological classification, the use of dichotomous keys for identification and development of a phylogenetic classification matrix. The teaching learning sequence consisted of eight lessons developed with different strategies of teaching and learning, using a specially designed instructional materials for each class. After the validation process, the teaching learning sequence was applied to two groups of 2nd year of High School, a public school in São Paulo, in the first half of 2013. Triangulation of data obtained through the recording and transcription of the classes as well as application of two validated questionnaires in the literature was performed: one designed to assess motivation and to review other students\' situational emotion. The data analysis led to the development of a graphical representation mapping the motivational and emotional dispositions of students during interactions of teaching and learning instructional sequence. As the results of empirical research that can contribute to the area of teaching natural sciences in that historical approaches are inserted, are evidence that the students responded positively to learning of scientific considered complex and current content away from their daily lives, such as the phylogenetic classification, after this study have been caused from the studies of Wallace in the Amazon. This research also contributes to the dissemination of a methodology for investigating motivational and emotional aspects of learning content students in Biology. Finally, set some parameters on the contribution of the History of Science in teaching Biology.

Modelos didáticos encontrados no fazer pedagógico de professores de biologia : representações docentes

Cunha, Luciene Costa Santana da 22 June 2016 (has links)
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / The study of didactic models may represent a useful tool to reflect on educational planning, it allows to establish a link between the theoretical aspects of the teaching and learning process and the intervention in the classroom itself. This study was based on didactic models proposed by Garcia Perez (2000) in his studies, they are: traditional, technological, the spontaneist and research at school (alternative). The main objective of the research was to find out what the teaching models used by biology teachers from public schools and their importance in the cognitive development of students. We have the following questions: Will have teachers a teaching / educational reference model? If so, which ones? Are these teaching models being used in the classroom allow students to take ownership of knowledge? As a theoretical framework, we try to address the main characteristics of the teaching models proposed by García Pérez, because this researcher is a world reference in this subject. We also approach on the implementation of educational models in the teaching of biology; on motivation for learning; about developments in the teaching of biology; teacher training; educational planning; and educational evaluation, citing authors such as: Garcia Perez; Myriam Krasilchik, Develay, Carvalho and Gil-Pérez, Libâneo, Bachelard, Charlot, Luckesi, among others. The methodology used is to qualitative research, which has a descriptive character of a case study. The following techniques and collection instruments were used: exploratory research; semi structured interview; observation and questionnaires. For this purpose, were used as research subjects six Biology teachers from two schools of the state of Aracaju. It was observed using the collected data that many of the teachers had knowledge about teaching models and these are present in the syllabus of these teachers. As for the schools surveyed, it was observed lack of some resources and infrastructure for the development of educational practices of these teachers. Regarding the pedagogical procedures, we found a similarity of teaching models used by them, especially when they working in the same school teachers. It can be concluded from this that all models have importance in the teaching practices and that they are not used in full in the teaching of these teachers.

Motivace romských dětí ke vzdělávání a učení / The motivation of Roma childern to education and learning

Procházka, Martin January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of the Romani children and their motivation for learning. It is based on a widely believed idea that motivation of the Romani ethnic group in general is different from the vast majority of population. In practice this problem may manifest itself when the children in question are unwilling to learn, they disrupt the educational process, they refuse to go to school and discontinue their further education as such. The theoretical part of the paper is focused on describing Romani people and their particularities connected with the family environment in which the Romani children are brought up and which strongly forms their attitudes. It also determines the amount of motivation for learning as a starting point for success in terms of education. Motivational factors depend on the value of education in the broader socio-cultural context of the Romani minority. The practical part of the thesis is based on the ethnographic research. The purpose of the research has been to analyze motivation of the Romani children for education. The method of observation has aimed to find the answers for the following research questions: To what extent does socio-cultural and completely different historical background reflect the Romani children's motivation for learning? Which are...
