The research was articulated from the perception that there is a mismatch between the multiplicity of proposals that the current fashion displays and the qualifying standards stipulated by personal styling. Given this context, the dissertation presents the cases of breaks of rules on dressing as a possibility to expand the repertoire for the personal styling. Taking the bricolage as a methodological option, we designed a set of theoretical tools capable of dialoguing with the data collected in media reports, blog posts, individual interviews and TV interviews. Rather than gathering information from various sources, this research promotes an interaction between my positions on the directions of personal styling, the clues that reveal breaking rules on dressing and the point of view of authors from the fields of fashion, philosophy, cultural studies and visual culture, building a reflection on the theme. Given this panorama, I try to discuss how the stylists can position themselves nowadays, how they can expand their field of action and also how they can act taking into consideration their customers’ lifestyle. / A proposta desta dissertação encaminha-se para a observação dos mecanismos que orbitam em torno do ofício do personal styling no cenário contemporâneo. A pesquisa articulou-se a partir da percepção de que há um descompasso entre a multiplicidade de propostas que a moda atual apresenta e as normas classificatórias estipuladas pelo personal styling. Diante deste contexto, a dissertação apresenta casos de quebras de regras no vestir como uma possibilidade de ampliação de repertório para o personal styling. Tomando a bricolagem como opção metodológica, foi elaborado um conjunto de ferramentas teóricas capazes de dialogar com os dados coletados em reportagens, postagens em blogs, entrevista individual e entrevistas para TV. Mais do que coletar informações de fontes diversas, a pesquisa promove um entrecruzamento entre meus posicionamentos sobre os direcionamentos do personal styling, as pistas que evidenciam quebra de regras no vestir e o ponto de vista de autores dos campos da moda, filosofia, estudos culturais e cultura visual, construindo uma reflexão acerca do tema. Dado este panorama, procuro discutir como o personal stylist pode se posicionar atualmente, como pode expandir seu campo de ação e também como pode atuar levando em consideração o modo de vida de seus clientes.

A pesquisa inicia estudando as interfaces entre moda, arte e artesanato, ressaltando como este último pode ser considerado uma das representações das identidades locais e como os criadores de moda em Belém estão em processo de busca de suas raízes culturais em face dos impactos dos processos de hibridação surgidos da aceleração da história. Autores como Nestor Garcia Canclini, Zygmunt Bauman, Pierre Bourdieu e Gilles Lipovestsky forneceram o embasamento teórico que permitiu a percepção da autora de que o acesso à maior variedade de bens, facilitado pelos movimentos globalizantes, democratiza a capacidade de combiná-los, permitindo que o designer sempre apresente produtos novos, em sintonia com a efemeridade da moda. Metodologicamente, a pesquisa se desenvolveu com a análise qualitativa de quatro manifestações de moda autoral em Belém, cujas criadoras tiveram a ousadia de agregar o valor do artesanato com as fibras de tururi e curauá, o couro de peixe e um tipo de látex conhecido como encauchado da borracha para confeccionar roupas e acessórios de moda com características de originalidade. Ainda contribuem os ensinamentos de Stuart Hall, Lars Svendsen, Carol Garcia e Ana Paula de Miranda para que autora conclua que produzir moda é criar comportamentos e que no atual contexto mercadológico, o artesanato pode ser o grande valor agregado à moda autoral. / The present research makes the relationship between urban handcraft an authorial fashion production in the city of Belém, in the state of Pará, Brazil, after the researcher has discovered that the wish to create fashion products with local identity has led the people of the region to search new local resources to make clothes and accessories with characteristics that could make them different in today’s globalized world, and that the difference is linked with the local culture. The research starts with the investigation of the interfaces of fashion, art and handcraft, showing that this last one can be considered one of the kinds of representation of the local identities. It also shows how the local fashion designers are trying to find their cultural roots in order to face the process of hybridization caused by the acceleration of history. Authors like Nestor Garcia Canclini, Zygmunt Bauman, Pierre Bourdieu e Gilles Lipovestsky give the theoretical support for the researcher’s perception that the access to a wide variety of goods, facilitated by globalization can make it easier to combine them and help designers create new things. Methodologically, the research has been developed by the analysis of the work of four fashion designers who have dared to add the value of handcraft with some local resources like tururi fiber, curauá fiber, fish leather and a new kind of rubber called encauchado to make clothes and accessories that can have original looks. Other authors like Stuart Hall, Lars Svendsen, Carol Garcia and Ana Paula de Miranda also contribute to the researcher’s conclusion that to create fashion production is to create behavior and in today’s market context, handcraft can be the great value that could be aggregated to fashion.

The research has the overall objective to demonstrate how, when putting down on paper his project or when drawing, a stylist transforms his mental representation in a graphical representation ___ the fashion design that becomes language and memory device or memories ___ that by itself already works with time and awakens memories and/or oblivion, associating cultures and showing designer's identity. In this sense, an understanding of drawing as a visual record of fashionable it becomes a memory device , presents the language, memory , culture and identity that strengthens timeless way ( towards the transit times past , future or present, without reducing Cartesian duration of these ), with existing variables and overcoming the idea of objectification image . The research focuses both evocative and inspiring aspects of social and anthropological dimension of the design , as the technical aspect determining the achievement of these . Thus , this paper highlights , the universe of Fashion Design, the fact that the designers of the area generally look to the past references to the identity of this recreating times , and from there , the research investigates the production designer Vitorino Fields which demonstrates their parts inspiration from other eras. In this way, the work intends to contribute to systematize a knowledge concerning the analysis of fashion images within a broad perspective and based on specialized theory on the subject, linked to the substrates chosen since the title of the Thesis. Through the observation of designs shown here, it was sought to demonstrate the existing relations since the idea creation until the final piece manufacturing by the stylist.Thus, the research was cultivated in a way to show the Drawing's implicit or explicit sense relations from a documentary survey and a field research with semi-structured interview and the found data discussion. / Esse trabalho estuda o Desenho de Moda enquanto linguagem e dispositivo de mem?ria, identidade e cultura, a partir da obra do estilista baiano Vitorino Campos. A pesquisa demonstra como, ao desenhar (colocar no papel seu projeto), um desenhista, neste caso o estilista, transforma a sua representa??o mental em uma representa??o gr?fica e como este desenho de moda se torna linguagem e registro de mem?ria, ou mem?rias, pois evoca lembran?as e/ou esquecimentos. Este registro gr?fico est? intimamente associado ?s culturas, principalmente da moda, e representa a identidade do desenhista. Nesse sentido, o entendimento do desenho como registro visual da moda que se torna dispositivo de mem?ria, apresenta a linguagem, mem?ria, cultura e identidade que o fortalece de maneira atemporal (no sentido do transitar pelos tempos passado, futuro ou presente, sem se reduzir a dura??o cartesiana destes), apresentando as vari?veis existentes e superando a ideia de coisifica??o da imagem. A pesquisa se foca tanto nos aspectos evocativos e inspiradores da dimens?o social e antropol?gica do desenho, quanto no aspecto t?cnico determinante da realiza??o destes. Dessa forma, este trabalho destaca, do universo do Desenho de Moda, o fato de que os desenhistas da ?rea geralmente buscam no passado referencias para a identidade do presente, recriando tempos, e a partir da?, a pesquisa investiga a produ??o do estilista Vitorino Campos, que demonstra em suas pe?as a inspira??o de outras ?pocas. Por meio da observa??o dos desenhos aqui estudados foi realizada uma an?lise que partiu das rela??es existentes desde a ideia de cria??o at? a confec??o final da pe?a. A pesquisa buscou as rela??es de sentidos impl?citas ou expl?citas do Desenho, a partir da sistematiza??o de um conhecimento relativo ? an?lise de imagens de moda, de um levantamento documental, da pesquisa de campo com entrevista semiestruturada e da discuss?o e an?lise dos dados encontrados.
