Nestandardní měnová politika centrálních bank: kvantitativní uvolňování. / The central banks' non-standard monetary policy: quantitative easing

Čáp, Daniel January 2011 (has links)
The thesis deals with non-standard monetary policies of three central banks throughout the global financial crisis. The reason for using non-standard measures was also liquidity trap when monetary policy becomes ineffective. An important milestone was collapse of investment bank Lehman Brothers in September 2008. The central banks carried out some non-standard measures before the collapse such as the emergence of new or expanding existing facilities. However, after the collapse there was panic at the financial and capital markets and market interest rate spreads rose. Central banks were forced to respond to expanding its balance sheet and reducing the monetary policy rate to zero. The main reason for increasing total assets was securities purchases by central banks. The measure, which is expanding the balance sheet is called quantitative easing. In the thesis I try to describe and compare the non-standard measures (with a focus on quantitative easing) taken by the three central banks (Bank of England, the Fed and the ECB) and answer the question whether the measures are effective and whether they can replace the standard monetary policy.

Samira Murad 25 June 2012 (has links)
Following the clue given by Proust himself on his essay on reading, recently, proustian critics have been paying a lot of attention to this theme in A la Recherche. In general, these interpretations analyse the figurations of reading in the text which, in turn, is used as a model for the reading of Prousts text. However, many of these analyses point out to incoherencies in Prousts theoretical discourse which can invalidate its status as a model for the reader. Revisiting some of the analyses on the topic and Prousts own essay On reading, this thesis tries to indicate that the understanding of the subject of reading should move beyond the discussion of its figuration in the text. In order to do that, we propose an analysis of the role of the reader a virtual textual dimension formed by the interpretive operations designed by the text itself. Controlled by the organization of the materials that form the text, these operations, once perceived by the reader, support many of the critical readings of Prousts text and so, they are, as it seems, the foundations for most of the readings of A la Recherche.

Saldivia Pereira, Leyla Tatiana 04 1900 (has links)
This master's thesis is about two works that the Uruguayan writer Eduardo Galeano wrote with the aim of “revealing the past of Latin America as it happened” and, in this way, giving representativeness and visibility to the historical experiences of the Latin American collective. The first work, Días y noches de amor y de guerra (1978) remembers the military dictatorships of the Southern Cone of the 70s, as well as those significant experiences that he had throughout his life, including the memory of those subjects whom he interacted with. The second is, the trilogy Memoria del fuego (1982, 1984 and 1986) in which he recreates five centuries of history from experiences considered by the author as subaltern. In this study we try, through a detailed analysis of the subjects highlighted by Galeano, as well as the narrative resources used, to see how the writer approaches the historical events that he narrates, paying special attention to the use he makes of his memory as well as the archival sources consulted. We believe that his life experiences and the regional context of social unrest and dictatorships have influenced the narrative articulation of these texts, going beyond their historical character, becoming at the same time literary, political, and, above all, personal documents.

Charakterizace mikropohybu a jeho vliv na systematické posuvy frekvence kvadrupólového přechodu iontu vápníku zachyceného v Paulově pasti / Characterization of micro-motion and its influence on systematic frequency shifts of quadrupole transition of Calcium ion trapped in Paul trap

Vadlejch, Daniel January 2020 (has links)
This thesis deals with the analysis of micromotion of a single charged calcium ion trapped inside the linear Paul's ion trap and the influence of residual micromotion on the systematic frequency shifts of the clock transition of calcium ion. The fundamental properties of the motion of an ion confined within linear Paul's ion trap are shown in general using a theoretical description. The micromotion component of the overall motion is especially emphasized. A model expressing micromotion in the axial direction of the trap is introduced on the basis of the results of the numerical calculation of electric fields inside the trap. The model is compared to the reality experimentally. Then, the photon-correlation method of detection of micromotion is introduced and subsequently used to minimize and to estimate a measure of residual micromotion in all spacial directions. According to the achievable measure of residual micromotion, the systematic frequency shifts caused by this micromotion are estimated. It can be seen that we are able to reach uncertainties of the relative frequency shifts due to micromotion below 10^20. We expect that uncertainty of total motional systematic frequency shift is in our case limited by thermal motion.

Rivera Amaro, Francisco 09 1900 (has links)
In Chile, the modernization process, which led to the expansion of capitalism and industrialization at the beginning of the twentieth century, had profound economic and social repercussions. However, the material culture associated with modern mining industries and their influence on indigenous societies suffers from a lack of archaeological studies. This dissertation focuses on twentieth century sulphur mining in the Quechua indigenous community of Ollagüe, located in the Antofagasta region of northern Chile. From the end of the nineteenth century, after the Chilean war against Peru and Bolivia (1879-1883), the region began a long process of capitalist expansion linked to various extractive mining activities. The mining camps, as new centers of work, generated a significant demand for products, services and labor, leading to a vast migration process and an increase in population. Studding the Andean landscape of Ollagüe, at 4,000 meters of altitude, the ruins of sulphur mining bear witness to the impacts of industrialization and capitalist expansion in the region. This dissertation examines the socio-cultural transformations generated by industrial mining in the local community through the study of three abandoned sulphur mining camps, Buenaventura, Station Puquios and Santa Cecilia. The vestiges of social spaces and material culture allow me to explore the identity of the mining workers and their families, as well as their living and working conditions on the heights of the volcanoes. Highlighting the specificities of Chile's modernization and capitalist expansion, this dissertation addresses industrial materiality in terms of continuity, fragmentation, and rupture. It aims to make visible and to valorize the modern material culture associated with the mining industries of the twentieth century. I argue that the process of modernization, industrial ruins and materiality of the recent past have generated spaces of memory that today are intertwined with the contemporary concerns of the local indigenous community.

Zadlužování českých domácností a jeho vliv na kvalitu života / Indebtedness of Czech households and its influence on quality of life

Rolincová, Martina January 2016 (has links)
Martina Rolincová Indebtedness of Czech households and its impact on quality of life Thesis Abstract The thesis "Indebtednesst of Czech households and its impact on quality of life," explores the phenomenon of over-indebtedness and thus, what impacts has this problem on life satisfaction of borrowers and their families. The main goal of this work is to describe these effects and instruments how Czech legislation responds to this negative phenomenon. Part of the work is a qualitative research among borrowers, their families and staff of non-bank credit institutions and agencies of discharge. Based on the analysis of this research and legislative background of this issue finds the author next to insufficient financial literacy also gaps in the legislation in protecting relatives against the consequences of wrong decisions of their family members.

Zum Verständnis morphosyntaktischer Merkmale in der funktionalen Varietät „Leichte Sprache“

Lasch, Alexander 22 November 2021 (has links)

Holá minulá příčestí v pre- a postpozici / Bare -ed participles as modifers

Marek, Jiří January 2021 (has links)
This thesis deals with the modification of nouns by bare past participles in the pre- and post- head positions and uses authentic examples from the written component of The British National Corpus. The aim is to describe the possibility of corpus excerption of this construction and to qualitatively compare participles in both positions using examples with context. In the first step, a simple search query was entered to retrieve bare past participles in the postnominal position with the result of 21,437 concordance lines which were then manually filtered. The resulting 14,529 lines were used to obtain a random sample of 400 lines which was again manually filtered. The resulting Sample 1 of 247 lines was described quantitatively in terms of the left and right context of the noun phrase and in terms of the head nouns. Sample 1 contained 118 unique participles, from which 10 were randomly selected for a qualitative description (Sample 2; 70 concordance lines per position, 140 lines in total). Sample 2 was then described in terms of the presence or absence of determiners, in terms of the types of definiteness, reference and restrictivity. An interesting feature is the presence of quantifiers, and the generally implied quantificational meaning of the construction. Semantics and the possibility to occur...
