It ascertains that the poetical discourse present in his work indicates the elaboration of contention and resistance concerning the inequality lived by his group, which uses the popular Christian religiosity as reference. The memory, orality, re-signification of concepts instituted by Church´s ortodoxy as well as the approach of pertinent themes to the members of this group are emphasized as elements of his resistent poetry. The analytical interpretation of the poems is based on the literary theory of Alfredo Bosi, the idea of identity metamorphosis developed by Ciampa as well as the analysis of Culture developed by Renato Ortiz and Clifford Geerts. Patativa makes use of the Christian Catholic religious imaginary as source of sense and meaning. He reveals to the popular culture typical forms of understanding the religiosity and the idea of Divine Providence. Furthermore he recreates, re-elaborates, re-invents and re-signifies these popular ways of attributing sense and meaning to the reality. When translated into utopia the contesting aspect present in Patativa´s poetry denotes a form of resistance. His poems manifest prayer, prophecy, value and critical conciousness of past and present, as well as hope based on popular Christian faith. The poetical discourse reveals itself as prophetic. This work contributes to the discussion about religiosity and Brazilian popular culture regarding the elaboration of a popular poetical hermeneutics. Besides, it propitiates a conception of the popular literature under models until then proclaimed as erudite. Its main conclusion is that the popular poetry of Patativa corroborates the constitution of a northeastern identity when it brings back the memory, the values, as well as the group´s self steem. Considering the identity process as a metamorphosis, which includes environmental and inner circumstances, the discourse produced by the poet is manifested as creative hermeneutics which brings sense to the world / Este trabalho é fruto de uma pesquisa bibliográfica e teórica sobre a poesia de Patativa do Assaré; constata que o discurso poético constituído em sua obra aponta para elaboração de uma forma de contestação e resistência diante das desigualdades vivenciadas pelo seu grupo, que toma por referência a religiosidade cristã popular. Como elementos dessa poética resistente ressaltamos a memória, a oralidade, a ressignificação de conceitos instituídos pela ortodoxia da Igreja, bem como a abordagem de temas pertinentes aos membros desse grupo. A interpretação analítica dos poemas tem como referências a teoria literária de Alfredo Bosi, a idéia de metamorfose identitária desenvolvida por Ciampa, bem como as análises da Cultura desenvolvidas por Renato Ortiz e Clifford Geertz. Patativa recorre ao imaginário religioso cristão católico como fonte de sentido e significado, revelando formas típicas à Cultura Popular de compreensão da religiosidade e da idéia de Divina Providência; não somente revela, mas recria, reelabora, reinventa e ressignifica essas maneiras populares de atribuir sentido e significado à realidade. O aspecto contestatório presente na poesia de Patativa significa uma forma de resistência ao traduzir-se em utopia; seus poemas revelam-se prece e profecia, valorização e consciência crítica do passado e do presente, bem como esperança no futuro com bases na fé cristã popular. O discurso poético se mostra assim discurso profético. O trabalho contribui com a discussão sobre a religiosidade e a cultura popular no Brasil ao considerar a elaboração de uma hermenêutica poética popular, além disso, propicia uma consideração da literatura popular sob moldes até então proclamados como eruditos. Sua conclusão principal é que a poética popular de Patativa corrobora a constituição de uma identidade nordestina ao resgatar a valorização da memória, dos valores, bem como da auto-estima desse grupo; considerando o processo identitário como metamorfose que inclui condições do meio e condições internalizadas, o discurso elaborado pelo poeta revela-se como hermenêutica criativa, como forma de significar e doar sentido ao mundo

The research consisted of a bibliographic study through which a number of his poems were selected and analised. On observing his process of creating verses, memory, voice, language, and subject, we came to the following findings: his poetic work is all marked by orality. His poems were created and kept in his mind as if they were created to be told in a public solemnity. His poems were only put on paper after some time. It is worth stating that this trace of orality is perceived not only when their poems were told in public, but also when they were put in written form. This feature of orality through the writing is responsible for a kind of dynamics, which gives a really meaningful value to the combination and harmony of the verses. It is observed that the writing does not interfere with the origin of the poet’s work. The writing function is to register and disseminate it. The poet’s ability of producing orality is also clearly observed through origin, elaboration, and memorization of his verses. The country is the place where he produces his verses. Therefore, we can realize how the social dimension, beauty, language and the relations between nature and culture are strong in his poetry. This means that the country provides him with a kind of poetry which aims at showing the unfair conditions of living of those who live there. To sum up, his poetry is universal for its quality; and constitutes a strong voice that vibrates representing the country. / Este trabalho tem como objetivo investigar o processo criativo do poeta Antonio Gonçalves da Silva, conhecido por Patativa do Assaré. Observando sua forma de criar os versos, a memória, a voz, a linguagem, a temática, verificamos que sua trajetória poética está marcada pela oralidade até mesmo quando sua obra chega a livro. Uma oralidade que convive com a escritura, sem que uma aniquile a outra, mas atuando com dinamicidade e atribuindo valor significativo na conjugação dos versos. É no contexto oral que Patativa se insere, sua poesia é feita para ser dita, portanto, a voz se mantém ouvida, vigorosa e produtiva. O suporte da escrita não interfere na gênese da obra, servindo como meio de garantir permanência e maior difusão. Analisamos a presença da oralidade nas fontes, na elaboração, na memória dos versos, como elemento constitutivo de sua produção poética. O lugar do fazer poético de Patativa é o sertão, onde podemos observar a relação natureza e cultura, a dimensão social, a beleza e a linguagem. É um sertão de poesia, que tem a intenção de mostrar em que condições vive o homem sertanejo. Percebemos que é esse o sentido maior da poesia de Patativa, uma poesia feita para todos, uma voz que vibra em nome do outro, numa linguagem que caracteriza o sertão.

A hipótese aqui desenvolvida é de que a literatura de cordel seja entendida como um recurso lúdicodidático que possibilita aproximar os alunos dos textos literários, fazer presente a leitura literária na escola e, através dela, formar os educandos para o letramento literário. A análise e a interpretação dos dados aqui apresentados são fundamentados, inicialmente, em obras que abordam questões essenciais sobre o ensino de literatura, sobre o letramento literário, sobre a literatura de cordel, sobre Patativa do Assaré, sobre o uso da poesia popular na formação de leitores e sobre sequência didática. Para tanto, o trabalho divide-se em quatro partes. O primeiro capítulo analisa a literatura na sala de aula com seus problemas e suas perspectivas. O segundo capítulo discute o letramento literário, contrapondo o cenário ideal e o cenário real. O terceiro capítulo trata da poesia popular de tradição oral e sua relação com a cultura, com a cultura popular e com o folclore. O quarto e último capítulo discute especificamente a poesia na sala de aula, enfatizando a poesia popular de Patativa do Assaré na formação de leitores, bem como apresenta uma sequência didática básica como proposta de intervenção em letramento literário para o 9º ano do ensino fundamental. Na conclusão são traçados os paralelos entre o letramento literário e a literatura popular, ressaltando seus pontos de contato e indicando que esta última pode ocupar um importante lugar na formação de leitores literários. / This thesis deals with the theme of literary literacy through critical reading of popular poetry Patativa do Assaré in the classroom. The hypothesis developed here is that the literature of twine is understood as a ludic didactic resource that allows students to approach literary texts, to present the literary reading in school and, through it, to train students to literary literacy. The analysis and interpretation of the data presented here are initially based on works that address essential questions about literature teaching, literary literacy, cordel literature, Patativa do Assaré, the use of popular poetry in Formation of readers and on didactic sequence. To this end, the work is divided into four parts. The first chapter reviews the literature in the classroom with their problems and prospects. The second chapter discusses the literary design, opposing the ideal scenario and the real scenario. The third chapter deals with the popular poetry of oral tradition and its relation with a culture, with a popular culture and with folklore. The fourth and last chapter specifically describes a poetry in the classroom, emphasizing a popular poetry of Patativa do Assaré in the formation of readers, as well as present a basic didactic sequence as a proposal of intervention in literary text for the 9th year of elementary school. In conclusion are the parallels between the literary literacy and popular literature, highlighting their points of contact and indicating that the latter can occupy an important place in the formation of literary readers.

The study asks how young people in conflict with the law perceive the experience of hospitalization in their lives. And advocates the thesis that the imprisonment repressive socio along the lines developed in the Educational Center Patativa Assaré (CEPA) precludes the achievement of autonomy and therefore the social rehabilitation of these young people. The scope of the study was to understand the life history of juveniles in conflict with law in internal CEPA considering their perceptions about the meaning of the experience of deprivation of liberty in their trajectories. Aiming at this goal include: discussion was held about the history of assistance to children and adolescents in Brazil to identify changes and continuities characteristics of the current childcare system; problematized the concept of punishment adopted by the State and attendance system socieducativo in Ceará especially given the CEPA, and was related to the perceptions of young people about the hospital with their life stories. To develop the study used qualitative research in the form of a case study in actual field with seven young people under socio hospitalization. Data collection occurred through methodological triangulation (MINAYO, 2005) which used: oral history, recorded and transcribed in full, the field journal, and the medical records as a source of information. Data analysis was conducted by: a technique for generating structure of discourse (FLICK, 2009), which enabled the reading of narratives and communicative validation through appreciation of young people confronting the reports and court reports, contained in records, with accounts who use oral language, and content analysis (Bardin, 1997/2004), to verify the most significant categories in the speech. The results showed negative perception of hospital experience, considered a waste of time. It is suggested to strengthen measures in an open environment, effective public policies to guarantee rights and fighting vulnerable promoting autonomy and support to childcare egress system and develop strategies proposed by the theory of restorative justice. / A presente pesquisa reporta-se a um estudo doutoral efetuado, em Fortaleza-CE, com um grupo de jovens institucionalizados em unidade socioeducativa em cumprimento de medida de internação pela prática de ato qualificado como infração. O estudo questiona como os jovens em conflito com a lei percebem a experiência de internação em suas vidas. E advoga a tese de que o aprisionamento repressivo nos moldes socioeducativos desenvolvidos no Centro Educacional Patativa do Assaré (CEPA) impossibilita o alcance da autonomia e, por conseguinte, a recuperação social desses jovens. O escopo do estudo foi compreender a história de vida de jovens em conflito com a lei internos no CEPA considerando suas percepções acerca do significado da experiência de privação de liberdade em suas trajetórias. Visando contemplar esse objetivo: debateu-se acerca da história da assistência à criança e ao adolescente no Brasil para identificar as mudanças e permanências características do atual sistema socioeducativo; problematizou-se o conceito de punição adotado pelo Estado e o sistema de atendimento socieducativo no Ceará, especialmente, oferecido no CEPA; e relacionou-se as percepções dos jovens acerca da internação com as suas histórias de vida. Para o desenvolvimento do estudo utilizou-se pesquisa qualitativa sob a forma de estudo de caso em campo real com sete jovens em cumprimento de medida socioeducativa de internação. A coleta dos dados se deu por intermédio de triangulação metodológica (MINAYO, 2005) que utilizou: história oral temática, gravada e transcrita na íntegra; o diário de campo; e os prontuários, como fonte de informações. A análise dos dados foi realizada mediante: a técnica de estrutura geradora do discurso (FLICK, 2009), que possibilitou a releitura e validação comunicativa das narrativas através da apreciação dos jovens; a confrontação dos laudos judiciais e relatórios, contidos nos prontuários, com os relatos oralizados; e a análise de conteúdo (BARDIN, 1997/2004), para verificação das categorias mais significativas nas falas. Os resultados apontaram percepção negativa da experiência de internação, considerada perca de tempo. Sugere-se fortalecer medidas em meio aberto, efetivar políticas públicas para garantia de direitos e combate a situação de vulnerabilidade promovendo autonomia, bem como de apoio ao egresso do sistema socioeducativo e desenvolver estratégias propostas pela teoria da justiça restaurativa.
