QUALIDADE DE VIDA NO TRABALHO E SÍNDROME DE BURNOUT EM PROFISSIONAIS PÚBLICOS E PRIVADOS DE SANTA CRUZ DO SUL/RS / QUALITY OF WORK LIFE AND BURNOUT SYNDROME IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PROFESSIONAL SANTA CRUZ DO SUL / RS

Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico / Considering that work represents the main goal in people lives, the Quality of Work Life (QWL) and occupational health become relevant when work market is instable and insecure (COHEN, 2003). Regarding this, the biopsychosocial approach of QWL assessment understand the individual as part of the whole, comprehending its own potentials and biological, psychological and organizational aspects, which contribute to frame the human condition (LIMONGI-FRANÇA, 2007). Besides QWL, the Burnout Syndrome (MASLACH e LEITER, 1999; BENEVIDES-PEREIRA, 2010; ENACHE, 2013) has been treated as one of the harm aspects of the physical and mental health worker, also being related to the operational and organizational performance, which may be an important factor on the interpersonal relationships as well as on social contexts. The study has as main goal identifying the possible relations between the Quality of Work Life and the Burnout Syndrome. Regarding that, it was performed a survey applied to a sample of 575 public and private workers from Santa Cruz do Sul/RS. The research was developed based on a descriptive and exploratory approach, considering two theoretical models: (1) Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI-GS) developed by Maslach (1996); 2) Biopsychosocial Model (BPSPO-96) developed by Limongi-França (1996). The data shown the general characterization of the sample profile is mainly comprehended by women, married, graduated, and age from 26 to 35 years. Regarding to the professional profile it was noticed that the majority works in the private sector developing operational activities. Beyond understanding the levels of QWL and Burnout, this study sought signs that would enable the targeting of strategies that would minimize dissatisfaction and illness in the workplace. The main goal of the study was answered by applying the correspondence analysis technique. Can be highlighted that the results have evidenced a direct relationship between the aspects of Biopsychosocial Model of QWL and the dimensions of Burnout. However, it can be noticed that the biological and psychological aspects do not have any relation with the correspondence analysis with the Burnout. On the other hand, social and organizational aspects, in low levels, present relation with the Burnout in high level. In this sense, the results from this analysis have shown that generally the satisfaction with QWL aspects in low levels results in emotional exhaustion depersonalization in high levels as well as the Burnout Syndrome. It is evidenced that the contribution of this study is located at the identification of the relationships between the Burnout and the QWL aspects. It can be highlighted the need of a deeper analysis on the results, investigating different variables and different populations as well as specific occupations related to work experience, once the literature related to the triangulation of themes is still incipient in Brazil. As suggestions of future works, is pointed the reproduction of the study in different contexts as well as the application of the structural equation modeling, aiming to propose a model that explains the Burnout Syndrome in Brazilian works. / Considerando que o trabalho representa o principal foco na vida de muitas pessoas, a Qualidade de Vida no Trabalho QVT e a saúde ocupacional adquirem relevância à medida que o mercado de trabalho se apresenta instável e inseguro (COHEN, 2003). Neste sentido, a abordagem biopsicossocial de avaliação da QVT compreende o indivíduo como parte do todo, abrangendo suas potencialidades, os aspectos biológicos, psicológicos, sociais e organizacionais, aspectos esses que contribuem para a concepção integral da condição humana (LIMONGI-FRANÇA, 2007). Além da QVT, a Síndrome de Burnout tem sido tratada (MASLACH e LEITER, 1999; BENEVIDES-PEREIRA, 2010; ENACHE, 2013) como um dos aspectos associados à ocorrência de agravos à saúde física e mental do trabalhador, além do funcionamento e desempenho organizacional, podendo ter importante reflexo nas relações interpessoais e de contexto social. Este estudo teve como objetivo geral, identificar as possíveis relações entre a qualidade de vida no trabalho e a Síndrome de Burnout.. Desta forma, foi realizado um levantamento do tipo Survey, aplicado a uma amostra de 575 profissionais de organizações públicas e privadas de Santa Cruz do Sul / RS. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida a partir de abordagem exploratória e descritiva, sendo utilizados dois modelos teóricos: (1) Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI-GS) elaborado por Maslach (1996); (2) Abordagem Biopsicossocial (BPSPO-96) desenvolvido por Limongi-França (1996). Os dados revelaram que a caracterização geral do perfil da amostra é composta predominantemente por mulheres, casadas, com nível superior e idade de 26 à 35 anos. Em relação ao perfil profissional verificou-se que a maior parte dos respondentes atua em organizações do setor privado, desenvolvendo atividades de nível operacional. Muito mais do que compreender níveis de QVT e burnout, este estudo buscou sinalizações que possibilitassem o direcionamento de estratégias que minimizassem a insatisfação e adoecimento no ambiente de trabalho. A partir da técnica análise de correspondência o objetivo geral deste estudo pode ser respondido. Destaca-se que os resultados obtidos evidenciaram relação direta entre os aspectos da abordagem biopsicossocial de QVT com as dimensões do Burnout. Contudo, pode-se observar que, os aspectos biológicos e psicológicos não têm relação próxima na análise de correspondência com o Burnout. Por outro lado, os aspectos sociais e organizacionais em níveis baixos possuem relação próxima com o Burnout em nível alto. Neste sentido, os resultados desta análise demonstram que no geral, a satisfação com os aspectos de QVT em níveis baixos gera esgotamento emocional e despersonalização em níveis altos, bem como, a síndrome de burnout. Evidencia-se que a contribuição deste estudo reside na identificação das relações entre o burnout, com os aspectos de QVT. Ressalta-se a necessidade do aprofundamento dos resultados aqui obtidos, investigando outras variáveis, assim como diferentes populações, ou ocupações específicas relacionadas à experiência laboral, uma vez que, a literatura sobre a triangulação dos temas no Brasil, ainda é considerada incipiente. Como sugestão de estudos futuros, indica-se a replicação desse estudo em outros contextos, assim como, o uso da análise de equações estruturais, a fim de propor um modelo para a explicação da Síndrome de Burnout em profissionais brasileiros.

Perceptions of supply chain professionals on the relationship between supply chain challenges and business performance in the food industry in Gauteng province

From publicly owned companies to sole proprietorships, supply chain management is crucial in facilitating the effectiveness of all operations. In the food processing industry, supply chain management is regarded as important capital for both inbound and outbound logistical activities. However, implementation of supply chain management initiatives presents several challenges that hinder the effectiveness of the operations of most companies. The aim of this study was to investigate supply chain management challenges facing the food processing industry in South Africa and the effects of these challenges on business performance. Through a review of literature, seven challenges are identified, namely, human resources management, technology, facilities, supplier relationship management, customer relationship management, regulatory factors, logistics and transportation. A nine-section questionnaire was then developed using adapted measurement scales and distributed to 303 supply management professionals in food processing companies in Gauteng province. Respondents were selected using the non-probability convenience sampling technique. The collected data were analysed using the Statistical Packages for the Social Sciences (Version 23.0). After testing for validity and reliability, descriptive statistics were applied in testing perceptions of respondents towards the seven supply chain management challenges and business performance. Pearson correlations were used to test for the strength and direction of associations between supply chain management challenges and business performance. Regression analysis is applied in testing whether supply chain management predicted business performance. Application of Pearson correlations revealed negative associations between all seven supply chain management challenges and business performance. This implies that business performance decreases as the intensity of the challenges increases. Regression analysis indicated that, apart from regulatory factors, six of the supply chain management challenges predict business performance. Technology emerged as the strongest predictor of business performance. The study concludes by suggesting recommendations for limiting the impact of the identified challenges on business performance.

Development of a health education programme for self-management of Type 2 diabetes in Edo State, Nigeria

Philosophiae Doctor - PhD / Diabetes is a chronic, metabolic disease that requires lifelong medical management, health education and self-management. According to a World Health Organisation report, there is a global increase in the prevalence of diabetes and even more so in the low-and middle-income countries, specifically Nigeria, which has the highest number of people with diabetes in the African region of the World Health Organisation. As a global issue, the positive health outcomes of diabetes are tied to health education and self-management of the disease and using the health resources of nations. However, in the context of limited resources in Nigeria, there is a need for improvement of health education in self-management of Type 2 diabetes. Health education that is provided in some Nigerian health facilities is reported to be unstructured, without patients’ active participation, not tailored to the needs and the interests of the patients and limited collaboration between multi-disciplinary professionals. In this context, the aim of the study was to develop a structured health education programme for self-management of patients with Type 2 diabetes, to facilitate the quality of the lives of these patients .An adapted intervention mapping framework provided a structured process for development of an evidenced based programme. A mixed method approach was followed. In the first phase of the study an exploratory descriptive qualitative research design was followed. A purposive sampling approach was used in selecting (i) participants, who were patients with Type 2 diabetes and (ii) health-care professionals working in two health-care institutions in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. In phase 1, Step1 of the research was a situation analysis, which consisted of conducting 30 semi-structured interviews with patients; observation of nurses providing health education; and five focus group discussions with health-care professionals (nurses, dieticians and social workers). Qualitative data analysis was accomplished through using Tesch’s (1990) steps of analysis to identify themes and categories. The situation analysis revealed, firstly, that there was a lack in the knowledge and self-management of Type 2 diabetes among patients. Secondly, that the health-care professionals acknowledged their collective role in health education and were burdened with the patients who were non-adherent to self-management. The result also revealed the necessity to change from a traditional teaching method to a structured educational process that is patient-centred. The second phase of the research was the stage of developing the educational programme through collaboration with the stakeholders (health-care professionals and patients with Type 2 diabetes) using the findings from the data-analysis of the first phase supported with literature. In phase 2, Step 2 was to develop matrices from the data analysis in Phase 1 for the programme. Step 3 added theory-based intervention methods and practical applications to the preliminary program and in Step 4 the programme was described. This was followed in Step 5 by preparing health-care professionals for offering the programme to patients and implementing and evaluating the programme. The evaluation of the programme was by means of a quantitative pilot study in which a pre-post-test in a quasi-experiment was conducted with 28 patients and qualitative interviews after the program and post intervention interviews with the participants. The evaluation showed that the program was effective in meeting its objectives. In Step 6 a plan for the adoption, implementation, sustainability and evaluation of future implementations was developed.

O estudo foi desenvolvido por meio da união de pesquisas bibliográfica e exploratória, utilizando-se como instrumento para a coleta de dados uma escala Likert, aplicada a 40 profissionais da área da saúde do Município de Rio Claro, SP. Os dados foram analisados descritivamente, por meio da técnica de Análise de Conteúdo Temático. Os resultados indicaram que, no que diz respeito aos valores pessoais e profissionais atribuídos à temática do lazer, os profissionais tenderam para uma valorização desse aspecto. No entanto, notou-se a dissonância cognitiva, já que estes não incorporam, em seu cotidiano, a prática regular dessas atividades. / This study, of a qualitative nature, aimed to investigate the significance of leisure in the lifestyle of health professionals in the city of Rio Claro. The study was conducted by the union of literature review and exploratory research, using as a tool for data collection a Likert scale, applied to 40 health professionals of Rio Claro, SP. Data were descriptively analyzed, using Thematic Content Analysis Technique. Result indicate that, with regard to personal and professional values assigned to leisure, health professionals tended to positive appreciation of this aspect. However, it could be found a cognitive dissonance, since they do not incorporate in their daily lives, the practice of these activities.

However, routinely, caring for the other causes numerous and complex conditions of physical wear and psychic, therefore it is imperative that the caregiver, be it health professional or not, you can book a time to take care of themselves. It was from this perspective that emerged the training course for multipliers in workshops - "Caring for the caregiver" /ransom of self-esteem, which was created in order to provide a space for the care and health professional. Objective: To know the experiences of health care professionals in caring for themselves after their participation in a training course for multipliers in workshops - "Caring for the caregiver" /ransom of self-esteem; enumerating the main changes in personal and professional dimensions of these professionals, after their participation in the course; and identify the possibilities of care used by health professionals to seek other care practices. Method: Qualitative study of nature-comprehensive interpretative guided by assumptions of Thematic Oral History. It was performed in the city of Joao Pessoa - PB, with the public health professionals who participated in the course. We obtained the empirical material through recorded interviews with eight collaborators, and this material has been analyzed on the basis of thematic content analysis proposed by Minayo. Results: After the identification of vital tones and themes present in the testimonies, emerged two thematic axs: I - participating in the training course for multipliers in workshops - "Caring for the Caregiver" /ransom of self-esteem: a wake-up call for the pamper yourself in personal dimension and professional; and II - health professionals: discovering opportunities and care practices. From the reports of the collaborators, it was noted that the participation in this course brought positive effects in interpersonal relationships, opportunities for self-reflection, self-knowledge and the rediscovery of the self; in addition, they realized that they were not the solution to the problems of others and absorbs them made them evil. There was also an improvement of the symptoms related to occupational wear, such as stress, anxiety and extreme exhaustion. Among the practices of care performed, were cited especially the not allopathy, that meet human needs in an integrated way, as acupuncture, tai-chi-chuan, yoga, reiki, biodance, circular dances, Ayurvedic massage, in addition to the practice of sports, walking and other. Conclusion: In general, it was observed that the course has changed significantly the way in which the collaborators perceived and practiced self-care, in addition to awaken in them the desire to seek new practices of care. Thus, it is concluded that the course is in line with the principles of the SUS, since its focus is based on health promotion and disease prevention. / Introdução: O cuidar faz parte das necessidades básicas para a sobrevivência da vida humana, sendo frequente na maneira do homem agir e se relacionar. Porém, rotineiramente, cuidar do outro ocasiona inúmeras e complexas condições de desgaste físico e psíquico, portanto é imprescindível que o cuidador, seja ele profissional de saúde ou não, possa reservar um tempo para cuidar de si. Foi nessa perspectiva que surgiu o curso de formação de multiplicadores em oficinas - “Cuidando do cuidador”/Resgate da autoestima, que foi criado com o intuito de possibilitar um espaço de cuidado ao profissional de saúde. Objetivo: Conhecer as experiências dos profissionais de saúde em cuidar de si após a participação em um curso de formação de multiplicadores em oficinas - “Cuidando do cuidador”/Resgate da autoestima; elencar as principais mudanças ocorridas nas dimensões pessoal e profissional desses profissionais, após sua participação no curso; e identificar as possibilidades de cuidados utilizados pelos profissionais de saúde ao buscar outras práticas de cuidado. Método: Estudo qualitativo, de natureza compreensivo-interpretativo, norteado pelos pressupostos da História Oral Temática. Foi realizado no município de João Pessoa – PB, com os profissionais da rede de saúde que participaram do referido curso. Obteve-se o material empírico por meio de entrevistas gravadas com oito colaboradoras, sendo esse material analisado com base na análise de conteúdo temática proposta por Minayo. Resultados: Após a identificação dos tons vitais e dos temas presentes nos depoimentos, emergiram dois eixos temáticos: I - Participando do curso de formação de multiplicadores em oficinas – “Cuidando do Cuidador”/resgate da autoestima: um despertar para o cuidar de si na dimensão pessoal e profissional; e II - Profissionais da saúde: descobrindo possibilidades e práticas de cuidado. A partir dos relatos das colaboradoras, constatou-se que a participação nesse curso trouxe efeitos positivos nos relacionamentos interpessoais, oportunidades de auto-reflexão, de autoconhecimento e de redescoberta de si; além disso, elas perceberam que não representavam a solução dos problemas dos outros e absorvê-los lhes fazia mal. Houve também uma melhora dos sintomas relacionados ao desgaste ocupacional, como estresse, ansiedade e exaustão extrema. Dentre as práticas de cuidado realizadas, foram citadas principalmente as não alopáticas, que atendem às necessidades humanas de forma integral, como acupuntura, tai-chi-chuan, ioga, reiki, biodança, danças circulares, massagem ayurvédica, além da prática de esportes, caminhada e outras. Conclusão: De modo geral, observou-se que o curso transformou de maneira significativa a maneira como as colaboradoras percebiam e realizavam o cuidado de si, além de despertar nelas o desejo de procurar novas práticas de cuidado. Dessa forma, conclui-se que o curso está em consonância com os princípios do SUS, uma vez que seu foco baseia-se na promoção à saúde e prevenção de agravos.

In the prospect of this study this population represents a complex universe to treat the subject motivation, regarding the magnitude of intervenient variables involved in this process which goes all the way from the pedagogical techniques, through the expectations of teachers for their students, to the concern about educational materials, teacher training, improvement of the structural conditions of school and the classroom as a whole, and also the processes of: institutional management, leadership, interpersonal relationships, education policy, availability of resources, among other important issues to deal with in this thematic. The fundamental theories that gave support to the analysis were taken from reports of Herzberg (1972), Maslow (1971), McClelland (1971), McGregor (1973), Vroom (1964) and others who sought in their theories, to show that the actual Work is a great provider of motivation, satisfying the supreme need of growth of human beings; It all was discussed in this study, relating them to the work of professionals linked to the teaching of Paraiba. These authors also tried to demonstrate that the factors that cause satisfaction are determinants of positive human behavior, from answers given by the human intellect. In other words, the feeling of satisfaction is also a need, which serves as a centre of behaviour organization at any given time. In other words, the needs mobilize the resources that each person has, channeling them to reach certain goals or marks. The argument presented here serves to demonstrate that motivation also includes the achievement and the pursuit of growth that leads to the scope of personal satisfaction as part of the dynamics of personal performance in relation to work. This means understanding that the satisfaction with the work derives from the environmental conditions offered by the company and is caused by a motivational factor that result in a particular pattern of positive performance, or above the average performance. In the specific case of professionals in the area of education, for example, efficiency and quality are inseparable attributes and must be present in the effort of every professional, for their students to see the prospect of gaining citizenship as sign of the quality of work developed in each unit of education in this country. The conclusion to which it has been arrived with the analysis of the data is that: in the profile of professional motivational investigated prevails, the need for self-realization, as the wage policy in operation is not enough to supply their basic needs, it turns out that the recompense comes from work itself, the possibility of showing competence, to help educating people and making them able to take place as human beings and as citizens. / Tendo por objetivo conhecer os fatores motivacionais presentes no comportamento dos professores, enquanto população alvo da pesquisa, especificamente na rede de ensino fundamental pública do Estado da Paraíba, esse estudo abrangeu uma população composta por 874 profissionais, sendo 350 do quadro de pessoal temporário e 524 do quadro efetivo. Na perspectiva desse estudo, essa população representa um universo complexo para tratar a temática motivação, haja vista a dimensão de variáveis intervenientes nesse processo as quais abrangem: desde as técnicas pedagógicas, passando pelas expectativas dos docentes em relação aos seus alunos, até a preocupação com os materiais didáticos, a capacitação docente, o aperfeiçoamento, as condições estruturais da escola e da sala de aula como um todo; além dos processos de: gestão institucional, liderança, relacionamento interpessoal, política educacional, disponibilidade de recursos, dentre outras questões de relevância para abordar com profundidade essa temática. As teorias de base que deram sustentação à análise proposta foram extraídas dos trabalhos de Herzberg (1972), Maslow (1971), McClelland (1971), McGregor (1973), Vroom (1964) e de outros que procuraram, em suas teorias, demonstrar que o próprio trabalho é um grande liberador de motivação, satisfazendo as necessidades superiores de crescimento do ser humano, foram discutidas nesse estudo, relacionando-as ao trabalho dos profissionais ligados ao magistério da Paraíba. Demonstrando que as necessidades mobilizam os recursos que cada pessoa possui, canalizando-os para o alcance de determinados objetivos ou metas. O argumento aqui apresentado serve para comprovar que a motivação engloba também a realização e a busca de crescimento que leva ao alcance da satisfação pessoal como parte da dinâmica do desempenho pessoal em relação ao trabalho. No caso especifico dos profissionais da área da educação, por exemplo, o binômio eficiência e qualidade é indissociável, e deve se fazer presente no trabalho que, cada profissional para que seus alunos possam vislumbrar a perspectiva de conquista da cidadania como indicativo de qualidade do trabalho desenvolvido em cada unidade de ensino desse pais. A conclusão a que se chegou com a análise dos dados é que: predomina no perfil motivacional dos profissionais investigados, a necessidade de auto-realização, da possibilidade de mostrar competência, de contribuir para formar pessoas capazes de realizar-se como ser humano e como cidadão.

Thus, companies need to develop mechanisms to retain their professional knowledge, as these professionals in some organizations are the cornerstone for the development and manufacture of the final product. Thus, through the systematic review, we attempted to list the factors that aid in the retention of IT professionals and verify them through the case study of a software development organization and questionnaires with the academic computer science undergraduate. Based on the data collected was possible to measure factors that are considered essential for retention of IT professionals, which should be analyzed by the companies in order to maintain, when relevant its stable professional staff. / No estado de Santa Catarina, o setor de Tecnologia da Informação se destaca pelo seu constante crescimento, entretanto para mantê-lo são necessários profissionais altamente capacitados, de modo que a escassez de mão de obra atrapalha o crescimento desse setor. Portanto, as empresas necessitam desenvolver mecanismos para reter seus profissionais do conhecimento, já que esses profissionais em algumas organizações são a peça fundamental para a elaboração e confecção do produto final. Assim, através da revisão sistemática, buscou-se elencar os fatores que auxiliam na retenção dos profissionais de TI e verificá-los através do estudo de caso em uma organização de desenvolvimento de software e pela aplicação de questionários com acadêmicos da graduação de ciências da computação. Com base nos dados coletados foi possível aferir fatores que são considerados fundamentais para retenção dos profissionais de TI, os quais devem ser analisados pelas empresas a fim de manterem, quando pertinente seu quadro de profissionais estável.

O objeto de pesquisa consistiu na relação creche-família e o problema referiu-se à complementaridade creche-família. Promover uma reflexão sobre a relação creche-família, a partir do questionamento da ideia de complementaridade preconizada pela LDBEN 9394/96, visando contribuir com a discussão na área, constituiu-se no objetivo geral da pesquisa. Foram estabelecidos como objetivos específicos: pesquisar na literatura o conceito de complementaridade e os indicadores da sua presença na relação creche-família; identificar e analisar, através da literatura sobre o tema, fatores que podem interferir na efetivação da complementaridade, no atual momento histórico da família brasileira e da creche pública e investigar as relações que se estabelecem entre uma creche pública e as famílias das crianças atendidas, verificando se apresentam indicadores da presença de complementaridade. A análise realizada teve como suporte teórico as abordagens que consideram as inter-relações entre criança, família e Educação Infantil, além de referenciais que concebem a família como uma construção histórica, social e reconhece a diversidade de configurações familiares. A Educação Infantil enquanto espaço de acesso ao conhecimento sistematizado diferenciando-a da família, e a relação creche-família que contemple: conhecimento mútuo; diferenciação e clareza dos papéis de ambas as instituições; estabelecimento de laços de confiança por parte da creche com as famílias; compartilhamento da educação da criança; comunicação entre os profissionais e a família pautada no diálogo e participação da família e comunidade na creche. O estudo decorreu numa abordagem qualitativa, classificada como exploratória e descritiva que incluiu os procedimentos metodológicos: pesquisa bibliográfica, pesquisa documental, observações na creche e entrevistas com profissionais e famílias. Os dados foram analisados tendo como suporte a análise de conteúdo e triangulados com base em autores que discutem o referido processo. Dentre os resultados obtidos destacam-se: a discussão sobre a complementaridade escola-família comparece ainda de forma incipiente na literatura pesquisada. Embora a relação creche-família apresente indicadores de complementaridade, essa não vem se processando da maneira como preconizada na LDBEN 9394/96, pois prevê uma família idealizada. A figura materna evidenciou-se como a principal responsável pelo estabelecimento de relações com a creche, porém, o desempenho do seu papel mostrou-se comprometido devido à sua atual condição na sociedade. O estabelecimento de limites compareceu como um ponto nevrálgico nas relações creche-família, evidenciado uma concepção idealizada de criança. Dentre os desafios propostos pela pesquisa enfatiza-se a necessidade de que outros setores, além do educacional, atuem junto às famílias para que estas possam desempenhar seu papel educativo de forma compartilhada com a creche. / This text is about a study conducted along the Doctorate Course of UNESP Presidente Prudente-SP Graduate Program in Education and linked to the research line "Formative Processes, Childhood and Youth". The research object was the daycare-family relationship and the problem referred to the complementarity nursery-family. The overall aim of the study was promoting a reflection on the relationship daycare-family, from the questioning of the idea of complementarity advocated by LDBEN 9394/96, to contribute to the discussion in the area. The following specific goals were estabilshed: searching the literature for the concept of complementarity and the indicators of its presence in the daycare-family relation; identify and analyze through literature on the subject, factors which may influence the effectiveness of complementarity, in the current Brazilian family and public daycare historical moment and investigate the relationships established between a public daycare and the families of children attended by checking if they show the presence of complementary indicators. The analysis was theoretically supported by the approaches that consider the interrelationships between child, family and childhood education, as well as references that conceive family as a historical and social construct and recognizes the diversity of family configurations. Early Childhood Education as an area of access to systematized knowledge differentiating it from the family, and from the daycare-family relationship that includes: mutual knowledge; differentiation and explicitness of the roles of both institutions; establishing bonds of trust by the day care with families; sharing concerning the education of the child; communication between professionals and family guided by the dialogue and participation of the family and of the community in the daycare. The study took a qualitative approach, classified as exploratory and descriptive which included the following methodological procedures: bibliographical research, documentary research, observations in the nursery and interviews with professionals and families. Data was analyzed having as support the content analysis and triangulated with a basis on authors who discuss the referred process. Among the results it is possible to highlight: the discussion of school-family complementarity is still incipient in researched literature. Although the family-daycare relationship presents complementary indicators, this is not taking place the way advocated in LDBEN 9394/96, since it predicts an idealized family. The mother figure was evidenced as the main responsible for establishing relations with the daycare, however, the performance of her role proved to be implicated due to her current status in society. The establishment of limits appeared as a particular issue in daycare-family relations, evidencing an idealized conception of child. Among the challenges posed by the research the need for other sectors in addition to the educational one, to act with families so as they can play their educational role in a shared way to the nursery is emphasized.

Nas últimas décadas estudos fundamentados nas discussões originadas no movimento feminista têm investigado a forma como as instituições sociais, incluindo aí a medicina e as demais ciências da saúde, estabeleceram ao longo da história padrões de masculinidade e feminilidade, nutrindo o discurso sexista presente no senso comum e nas ciências. Papéis sociais são atribuídos aos gêneros especificando limites rígidos de comportamento e de controle social. A noção da predisposição feminina a distúrbios físicos e emocionais gerou especulações dentro de vertentes acadêmicas culminando na criação de especialidades médicas que prevenissem o adoecimento feminino; o masculino permeado por noções de resistência e força se tornou sinônimo de corpo saudável, ratificando a dominação masculina e o papel político e econômico dos homens. Estudos indicam que as relações de gênero influenciam negativamente sobre os cuidados com a saúde. Como objetivo de estudo esta pesquisa buscou investigar, por meio de entrevistas semi-estruturadas e análise de conteúdo, as concepções sobre gênero e suas relações no cuidado com a saúde nos relatos de 11 profissionais da sáude. Os resultados obtidos indicam que para os entrevistados as características tidas como de gênero são determinadas por fatores biológicos e sociais e irão influenciar na forma como homens e mulheres lidam com a sua saúde e doença. De acordo com os resultados há uma diferença significativa na interação com homens e mulheres sendo que as interações profissionais com o público feminino são entendidas como mais satisfatórias. Para os participantes a formação profissional não... / The historical and social process has built models of masculinity and femininity that culminate in standards and norms to be followed by individuals in their social interactions. In recent decades studies based on the discussions that originated in the feminist movement have been investigating how social institutions, including medicine and other health sciences, have established standards of masculinity and femininity throughout the history, nurturing this sexist discourse on common sense and sciences. Social roles are assigned to the genera specifying rigid boundaries of behavior and social control. The notion of the female predisposition to physical and emotional disorders has prompted speculation within academic strands culminating in the creation of specialized medical illness that would prevent the female, the male permeated by notions of endurance and strength has become synonymous of a healthy body, confirming the male domination and the economic and political role of men. Studies indicate that gender relations influence negatively on health care. This research concerned to study and investigate through semi-structured interviews and content analysis, conceptions of gender and its relationship to health care in reports of 11 health professionals. The results obtained indicate that for the interviewed subjects that the regarded characteristics of gender are determined by biological and social factors and will influence the way men and women deal with their health and disease. According to the results there is a significant difference in interaction with men and women being the professional interactions with the female audience perceived as more satisfactory. Abstrakt: Det innebär ofta en svår sorg för närstående när en älskad persons liv snart är slut, vilket också innebär att det liv man tillsammans har delat närmar sig sitt slut. I enlighet med en personcentrerad vård ska vårdpersonalen arbeta för ett partnerskap mellan närstående, patient och vårdpersonal. I palliativ vård tar närstående ofta ett stort ansvar för patientens omvårdnad, samtidigt som de befinner sig i kris och därmed har ett behov av stöd och information. Vårdinsatser till patienten baseras ofta på vilka behov närstående kommunicerat att finns. För att bedriva en personcentrerad vård är det därför av vikt att tydliggöra vilka erfarenheter närstående och vårdpersonal har av kommunikation i den palliativa vården. Syfte: Syftet var att sammanställa studier som beskriver hur kommunikation erfars av närstående och vårdpersonal i palliativ vård. Metod: En litteraturöversikt baserad på 15 vetenskapliga artiklar vilka samtliga hämtades i databasen CINAHL. Artiklarna var av kvalitativ- och kvantitativ design. Resultat : Det har positiv betydelse för patient och närstående att initialt redan vid ett brytpunktssamtal inkludera närstående. Strukturerade samtalsmodeller gynnande kommunikationen mellan närstående och vårdpersonal. Det ansågs svårt att strukturera hur en fungerande kommunikation ska se ut, eftersom kommunikation sker på individnivå. Konklusion: Kvaliteten på kommunikationen skiljde sig åt beroende om vårdpersonalen arbetade inom specialiserad palliativ vård eller inte. Vid otrygghet och oro hos de närstående smittade det av sig på patienterna. Vårdpersonal upplevde skillnader på vad patienterna själva önskade för insatser och vad närstående förmedlade att patienterna behövde. / Abstract: It often means a grievous grief for relatives when a beloved person's life is coming to an end, which also means that the life you have collectively shared is coming to an end. In accordance with person-centered care, health care professionals should work for a partnership between relatives, the patient and the healthcare professional. In palliative care, relatives often take a major responsibility for the patient's care, while at the same time they are in crisis and they also have a need for support and information. Care interventions to the patient are often based on the needs that the relative´s communicated. In order to carry out a person-centered care, it is therefore important to make clear what experiences the relatives and the health professionals have of communication in palliative care. Aim: The aim was to compile studies describing how communication is experienced by relatives and healthcare professionals in palliative care. Methods: A literature review based on 15 scientific articles, all of which were collected in the CINAHL database. The articles were of qualitative and quantitative design. Results: It has positive significance for the patient and the relative´s that initially already at a breakpoint communication include relative´s. Structured communication models between related and health professionals favored the dialog between them. It was considered difficult to structure how communication shall be performed, when communication takes place at an individual level. Conclusions: There were differences of the quality of communication depending on whether the healthcare professional worked in specialized palliative care. When relative´s felt insecure and anxious, it affected the patients. Health professionals experienced differences in what the patient wanted for arrangements and what the relative´s mediated that the patient needed.
