No. of bitstreams: 1 arquivototal.pdf: 1163383 bytes, checksum: b0009473023a1ae6fdd1988ad3d7c9e4 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2015-05-28 / The study has presented a research work about the ethnical-racial information of African origin and of African descendants, due to the understanding that the articulation of this kind of information with the theoretical fundaments of the Science of Information has the purpose of rescuing, spreading and adding value to the knowledge about African ancestry and its descendants. The proposed general goal is to analyze the ethnical-racial information in the perspective of African-rooted and African-descendant ethnics, parting from Discursive Semantics, aiming at the conceptualization of the themes approached in this context. The specific goals were: a) mapping the sources of information; b) identifying descriptors; and c) elaborate the glossary of ethical-racial information. The research intended to afford visibility and due importance to the ethnocentric informational flow for considering that knowledge of the terminology of the field is an inherent necessity to all researches/scholars; initiatives towards constructing a glossary of ethnical-racial information are non-existent; ethnical-racial information is little scarcely available in the academic environment; and, that studies which allow the insertion of the afro-centric culture in the Eurocentric current panorama are incipient. The corpus of this research ha as an ally the web environment to reach the informational sources, searching the keywords History of Africa and black people in Brazil, which and without Boolean operators or hyphen. As a selective criteria was the results until the 10th page of the search engine Google, university library websites, Digital Libraries of Theses and Dissertations (BDTDs), institutional repositories, directories of electronic periodic publications, etc. The methodological path had a qualitative analysis, and, for data analysis, documents were approached from the Discursive Semantics perspective, in an attempt to connect the expression or significant of words or expressions with the content or meaning for the indexation of words and linguistic expressions to be collected. The semantic procedures of thematization and figurativization of Greimasian base were the ones responsible by extracting the figures of natural language and for attributing themes to the identified figures. The process of discursivization employed for obtaining positive results of this research work, since the moment of indexation, has shownefficacy in the proposed task, in a way that the figures and the themes became effective as descriptors and, ultimately, formed a glossary of ethnical-racial information. The research highlighted Discurs Semantic as a method capable to execute the task of analyzing and representing ethnical-racial information of African origin with the intent of contributing in a practical way to disseminate and add positive value to this kind of information. It’s also important that this research can serve as an incentive to guide new works for the studies that search solutions with the intent of reduce the effects of the invisibility of ethnical-racial information of African origin, considering that the same way the black person which, despite all the progress, is still far from being free of inequalities, the ethnical-racial information also needs to circulate freely I the academic context, based in the principle of heterogeneity. / O estudo apresentou pesquisa sobre a informação étnico-racial de matrizes africana e afrodescendente por entender que a articulação desse tipo de informação com os fundamentos teóricos da Ciência da Informação tem a finalidade de resgatar, disseminar e agregar valor ao conhecimento da ancestralidade africana e seus descendentes. Propôs como objetivo geral analisar a informação étnico-racial na perspectiva da etnia de raízes africana e afrodescendente, a partir da semântica discursiva, visando à conceituação de temas abordados nesse contexto. Os objetivos específicos foram: a) mapear as fontes de informação; b) identificar descritores; e c) elaborar o glossário da informação étnico-racial. A pesquisa pretendeu oportunizar visibilidade e importância devida e adequada ao fluxo informacional etnocêntrico por considerar que é uma necessidade inerente a todos os pesquisadores/estudiosos o conhecimento da terminologia de suas áreas de atuação; que inexistem iniciativas no sentido de construção de glossário de informação étnico-racial; a informação étnico-racial é pouco difundida no ambiente acadêmico; e, que são incipientes os estudos que permitem a inserção da cultura afrocêntrica no panorama atual de hegemonia eurocêntrica. O corpus da pesquisa teve como aliado o ambiente da web para chegar às fontes informacionais, utilizando na busca as palavras-chave História da África e do negro no Brasil, com e sem operadores booleanos ou hífen, quando optou-se por adotar como critério de seleção até a 10ª página do buscador Google, sites de bibliotecas universitárias, Bibliotecas Digitais de Teses e Dissertações (BDTDs), repositórios institucionais, diretórios de periódicos eletrônicos etc. O percurso metodológico teve abordagem qualitativa e, para a análise dos dados, abordou-se os documentos na perspectiva da Semântica Discursiva, na tentativa de conectar expressão ou significante das palavras ou expressões com o conteúdo ou significado para a indexação dos vocábulos e expressões linguísticas a coletar. Os procedimentos semânticos de tematização e figurativização de base greimasiana foram os responsáveis por extrair as figuras da linguagem natural e por atribuir temas às figuras identificadas. O processo de discursivização empregado para obtenção de resultados positivos da presente pesquisa, desde o momento da indexação evidenciou eficácia na tarefa a que se propunha, de modo que as figuras e os temas se efetivaram como descritores e formaram, por fim, o glossário, apresentado em forma de quadros e denominado Glossário de informação étnico-racial. A pesquisa destacou a Semântica Discursiva como um método capaz de realizar a tarefa de analisar e representar a informação étnico-racial de matriz africana com a intenção de contribuir de forma prática para disseminar e agregar valor positivo a essa espécie de informação. É importante, também, que esta pesquisa possa servir de incentivo ao direcionamento de novos trabalhos para estudos que busquem soluções na intenção de diminuir os efeitos da invisibilidade da informação étnico-racial de matriz africana, tendo em vista que, assim como o negro que a despeito de todo avanço ainda está longe de ser livre de desigualdades, a informação étnico-racial também necessita transitar de forma livre no contexto acadêmico, baseada no princípio da heterogeneidade.

It highlights the institutional repositories available in digital environments as storage means of the university community scientific production as well as data dissemination and promotion of open access to scientific information. It deals with thematic representation of information and points out the use of controlled vocabulary as instrument for facilitating data retrieval. It aims at analyzing the contribution of the use of controlled vocabulary in data retrieval of REI/UFPB documents. The research approach is classified as qualitative. As to the development methodology, the elaboration of a controlled vocabulary in the Science of Laws area; the TCC indexing related to the Law course of UFPB/campus I, year 2011; the submission or insertion of the TCC in the UFPB Institutional Electronic Repository; and finally, data collection for analysis with the representatives of the researched sample, constituted by students from the undergraduate course in Law/campus I of the Federal University of Paraíba, were proposed. Data collection was characterized by the presentation of the REI/UFPB to the research participants and by the use of questionnaire. The result of research data analysis revealed that, from the users´ answers, the use of controlled vocabulary contributes to the information retrieval of the available TCC at the REI/UFPB. The students evaluated positively the controlled vocabulary and the Institutional Electronic Repository (REI) of the UFPB. On the other hand, they made up some suggestions for the improvement of this information retrieval system. / Analisa o uso do vocabulário controlado na recuperação da informação de Trabalhos de Conclusão de Curso (TCC) da Graduação em Direito da Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB), disponibilizados no Repositório Eletrônico Institucional da UFPB (REI/UFPB). Destaca os repositórios institucionais disponibilizados em ambientes digitais como meios de armazenamento da produção científica da comunidade universitária, bem como de disseminação da informação e de promoção do acesso aberto à informação científica. Aborda a representação temática da informação, e destaca a utilização do vocabulário controlado como instrumento para facilitar a recuperação da informação. Objetiva analisar a contribuição do uso de vocabulário controlado na recuperação da informação de documentos do REI/UFPB. A pesquisa apresenta-se como uma abordagem qualitativa. Na metodologia de desenvolvimento do trabalho propôs-se a elaboração de um vocabulário controlado na área das Ciências Jurídicas; a indexação de TCC do curso de Direito/Campus I da UFPB do ano de 2011; a submissão ou inserção destes TCC no Repositório Eletrônico Institucional da UFPB; e por último, a coleta de dados para análise com os representantes da amostra da pesquisa, constituída por alunos do curso de graduação em Direito/Campus I da Universidade Federal da Paraíba. A coleta de dados caracterizou-se pela apresentação do REI/UFPB aos participantes da pesquisa e pela utilização de questionário. O resultado da análise dos dados da pesquisa revelou, a partir das respostas dos usuários, que o uso do vocabulário controlado contribui para a recuperação da informação de TCC disponibilizados no REI/UFPB. Os alunos avaliaram de forma positiva o vocabulário controlado e o Repositório Eletrônico Institucional da UFPB, por outro lado, elencaram algumas sugestões para a melhoria desse sistema de recuperação da informação.

When the indexing language does not correspond to the necessities of representation of the contents of the documents, carried out by the indexers and the requests of bibliographical searches through the users' subject, it affects the performance of those processes, compromising the accomplishment of searches and services. The proposal is to carry through an evaluation study of the alphabetic indexing language use of the online collective catalogs, with a main focus on the technologies of representation and information retrieval, in the perspective of the university libraries and in the socio-cognitive context of indexers and users. This essential research has required imminent recognition, description and cultural patrimony s communication concerning its cultural relevance, contradictorily, fledgling political and patrimony research. Several questions have sustained analysis: Which assumptions, criteria, categories, implementation procedures and analysis must be included in the movable cultural property and integrated religious scientific methodology patrimony adequately directed in the SI [Information Science] and cultural patrimony areas? Which have been the identification support, classification and religious qualitative analysis? The state of art has brought theoretical contributions related to the Information Science, Terminology, Semiotics and Aesthetics since the inventory processes of material culture in focus, Christian art well as information and its representation as interdisciplinary scientific objects. It has been concluded that the inventory as an important information assets source by the access to material and cultural patrimony well as memory preservation. Moreover, the patrimony has been identified as a social representation instrument by its non technical-descriptive utterance structure, indeed, as an information and knowledge representation instrument, by the information presupposes recognition with a interdisciplinary scientific purpose which has required scientific methodology construction linking Information Science and Cultural patrimony. / Investigamos os processos teórico-metodológicos para a construção e análise do inventário do patrimônio religioso paraibano colonial, em desenvolvimento no Programa de Pós-Graduação de Ciência da Informação da Universidade Federal da Paraíba Campus I em nível de mestrado, na área de concentração Sociedade, Informação e Conhecimento e na linha de pesquisa Memória, Organização, Acesso e Uso da Informação, justificadas pela intenção de incorporar a preservação da memória, representação da informação e de conhecimento, usos e impactos da informação. A pesquisa justifica-se pela eminente necessidade de identificação, qualificação e comunicação do patrimônio cultural dada a sua relevância histórica e cultural e, contraditoriamente, as incipientes políticas e pesquisas sobre os inventários deste patrimônio. Algumas questões orientam nossa análise: Quais pressupostos, critérios, categorias, procedimentos de execução e análise deve conter uma metodologia científica de inventário de bens culturais móveis e integrados religiosos que articula adequadamente as áreas da CI e de patrimônio cultural? Quais instrumentos existentes para a identificação, classificação e análise qualitativa do patrimônio religioso? Como referencial teórico-metodológico nos apoiamos nas contribuições da Ciência da Informação, Terminologia, Semiótica e Estética uma vez que os processos de inventariação da cultura material em foco, arte cristã bem como a informação e sua representação constituem objetos científicos interdisciplinares. Defendemos que o inventário pode ser uma importante fonte de informação patrimonial, de acesso ao patrimônio cultural material e de preservação da memória. Numa pesquisa qualitativa produzimos um inventário enquanto instrumento de representação social e consideramos que o mesmo não deve se constituir em uma técnica nominativo-descritiva, mas em um instrumento de representação da informação, tendo como pressuposto o reconhecimento da informação patrimonial como objeto científico interdisciplinar que requer a construção de metodologia científica que articula Ciência da Informação e Patrimônio Cultural.
