The law 12.594 ? SINASE ? from 2012, establishes, for married adolescents, the privilege of a conjugal visit. This law is founded on the guarantee of family and couple bonds maintenance. The hypothesis is that this right will promote a discussion about adolescents? sexuality and body. However, the assurances of the Children and Adolescent Statute (ECA), constructed on the full protection principle, are not totally exercised. This open the topic to discussions and practices based on the irregular situation of the Youngsters Code. The methodology used was the intervention research claimed by Ren? Lourau, established on the institutional analysis theories. The device concept, by Deleuze, was chosen to think the intimate visit more than just a right, but as an instrument to cause debates about youngsters? sexuality, which has little relevance in the social-education institution. The data collected from the interviews was interpreted considering the analysis of implication, because it is the assumption of the non-neutrality. From May to June, 2015, 08 adolescents were identified as able to conjugal visit. First, they were listened in two group of four. Then the interviews were made individually using a semi-structured questionnaire. The field diary helped on the discussion about the effects of some institutionalized praxis reflected on the imprisoned juveniles? subjective. As results, it is possible to highlight the DEGASE standard characteristic and it difficulty in manage the differences. From the adolescent?s point of view, the intimate visit might be face naturally, although, they were worried about some possible violation of their pairs during the process. Even though there is difficulty in accept the homoaffective relationship, the institution is open to dialogue. Despite the fact that it has some limitations and, for security, the homosexual adolescents are placed in, so called, ?safe? places. The discussion about gender face the heteronormative logic, potentialized by the common sense that prison is ?place for males? / que a sustenta ? a conviv?ncia familiar e a garantia da continuidade do v?nculo entre o casal. Nossa hip?tese ? de que esse direito promova discuss?o em torno da sexualidade e do corpo do adolescente. As garantias trazidas pelo Estatuto da Crian?a e do Adolescente (ECA), embasadas no princ?pio da prote??o integral, ainda n?o s?o exercidas de forma plena. Deixando espa?o para pr?ticas e discursos baseados na situa??o irregular do antigo C?digo de Menores. A metodologia utilizada ? a pesquisa-interven??o defendida por Ren? Lourau dentro do arcabou?o da an?lise institucional. Escolhemos o conceito de dispositivo de Deleuze para pensar a visita ?ntima para al?m de um direito, mas como instrumento que provoque debates a respeito da sexualidade do adolescente, que na institui??o socioeducativa, tem tido pouca relev?ncia. O material das entrevistas foi interpretado levando-se em considera??o a an?lise da implica??o, pois ela ? o pressuposto da n?o neutralidade. No per?odo de maio a julho de 2015 foram identificados 08 adolescentes com perfil para a visita ?ntima. Inicialmente, eles foram ouvidos em 02 grupos de 04 adolescentes. Em seguida, foram realizadas entrevistas individuais com apoio de question?rio semiestruturado. O di?rio de campo auxiliou na discuss?o sobre os efeitos da institucionaliza??o de determinadas pr?xis que repercutem nas subjetividades dos adolescentes privados de liberdade. Dentre os resultados encontrados, destacamos as formas normatizadoras da institui??o e sua dificuldade em lidar com o diferente. A visita ?ntima, do ponto de vista do adolescente, deve ser encarada com naturalidade. Surgiram preocupa??es com supostas viola??es de suas companheiras no decorrer do processo da visita ?ntima. Apesar da resist?ncia ? rela??o homoafetiva, existe a possibilidade de di?logo sobre essa quest?o. No entanto, a institui??o tem limita??es e acaba, em nome da prote??o, isolando os homossexuais nos m?dulos conhecidos como ?seguro?. A discuss?o de g?nero esbarra na l?gica heteronormativa, potencializada com a cren?a de que a cadeia ? ?lugar para macho?.

<p> The mother-daughter relationship holds a special place in the lives of African American women, given the rich history of women of African descent and the complexities of female relationships. However, few studies have discussed the evolution of this relationship and what it means in the lives of African American mothers and daughters. Using relational-cultural theory (RCT) and Black feminist theory, this qualitative grounded theory study described the experiences and evolution of the African American mother-daughter relationship. A sample of 10 mother-daughter dyads was interviewed together about their relationship. Research questions addressed how African American mothers and daughters define, maintain, and value their relationships with one another. Interviews were recorded, transcribed, coded, and analyzed. Themes generated from the data included the relationship undergoing ups and downs, including changes and fluctuations as the pair maintains an enduring bond; unconditional love; legacy; ongoing support; care; learning and spending time together; the role of communication; being available; and mutual acceptance. The results provide insight into the unique evolution of the African American mother-daughter relationship and provide a theoretical foundation for understanding how this relationship develops, evolves, and is maintained. Mental health clinicians who read this study may gain greater awareness of and sensitivity toward African American mother-daughter relationships, as well as insight into how these fluid relationships function. By applying this knowledge to their practice, they may support clients' healthy personal development and interpersonal growth.</p>

Object of the research is training of social educators. Through the analysis of this objective, the main research problem - training of a social educator as a vocational adviser – is considered. It consists of the following problem questions: what are the main operational characteristics and competences of a social educator as a vocational adviser, what should the structure of a social pedagogy study programme aimed at developing competences of a vocational adviser look like in order to ensure the interaction between all the parameters of a study programme and create the conditions for preparation of a specialist able of providing vocational guidance services and which factors of a social pedagogy study programme aimed at developing competences of a vocational adviser determine the acquisition of competences. Goal of the research: on the basis of the social pedagogy study programme, to justify (both from the theoretical and empiric point of view) a competences development model of a vocational adviser. <p> The primary purpose of this study was to examine successful instructional practices that promote high academic achievement for at-risk students in juvenile detention centers, and possibly lead to a reduction in recidivism in the juvenile justice system. A case study was conducted at 2 Los Angeles juvenile detention centers, known as "The Sports Camp" and "The Vocational Camp." Qualitative research methods provided data triangulated from a document and artifact examination, interviews, and observations. Analysis of the data suggests that, contrary to popular belief, there are successful instructional practices that positively impact student academic achievement. However, the findings also indicate that extenuating circumstances prevent some students from taking advantage f their educational opportunities. Although the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is committed to improving educational outcomes for incarcerated youth, there are no magic formulas or solutions. Therefore, multiple strategies will be needed to significantly improve educational outcomes for students in this nontraditional school setting.</p>

<p> There is a distinct possibility there may be many people of color who are in leadership positions or applying for leadership positions that believe racial stereotyping creates barriers for opportunity and can hinder one's chances for success. The purpose of this research is to explore strategies used by leaders of color to overcome the threat of racial stereotyping in the Las Vegas hospitality and gaming industry, as it pertains to barriers, opportunities, and success. There are four research questions the researcher explored through leadership, strategies, assimilation and performance. The sample size consisted of twelve leaders of color in the Las Vegas hospitality and gaming industry. Leaders of color were defined as African-American, males and females, and Hispanic-American, males and females. The researcher utilized qualitative interviews as the primary instrument and chose a semi-structured interview format. The researcher asked predetermined questions while still exercising the freedom to seek clarification with follow up and improvised questions. The twelve interviewees were asked seven questions relevant to the four research questions to provide an in-depth analysis. The results of this study concluded that leaders of color have cultivated strategies to overcome the threat of racial stereotyping in the workplace. Although each leader of color in this study had never officially chronicled a professional strategy that is in direct correlation with the threat of racial stereotyping, all of the leaders have been living by a subliminal game plan that is either reactive, proactive or both. The leaders of color in this study were given, and took advantage of the opportunity to disclose what works for him or her in respect to their existence, relationships, and motivation to overcome the threat of racial stereotyping in their respected workplaces.</p>

A vigente política brasileira sobre drogas aloca, aos que as consomem ou aos que as comercializam, ao patamar da ilegalidade – ainda que preveja a diferenciação de fronteiras imprecisas, entre consumo e tráfico. A conjuntura proibicionista proporciona a existência de complexas redes sociais, entre os que mais lucram, e não são identificados como tais, e os que são passíveis de punição/correção. Estes últimos são os que se encontram na porção final da rede de vendas de drogas, em geral ocupada por jovens pobres, fato denunciado no contexto das medidas socioeducativas descritas por este trabalho. Esta dissertação é o resultado de um processo cartográfico junto a jovens em cumprimento de medidas socioeducativas em meio aberto por envolvimento no comércio de drogas, a partir da inserção em grupos de Prestação de Serviços à Comunidade e de Liberdade Assistida. Apresento aqui os elementos vivenciados no período da pesquisa, relacionando-os com as noções de criminalização das juventudes, biopoder e de medicalização do social, analisando como estes se expressam na contemporaneidade e como são trabalhados e (re)produzidos no contexto socioeducativo. Demonstrar como estes conceitos se articulam e constituem a produção de discursos na relação com jovens envolvidos/as com a rede de comércio de drogas, com as políticas públicas para crianças e jovens ao longo do tempo e com as instituições responsáveis pelas medidas socioeducativas em meio aberto foram as pistas percorridas por esta cartografia. Neste contexto é coerente questionar, serão os jovens que estão em conflito com as leis, ou as leis que estão em conflito com os jovens? / The current Brazilian substance misuse policy allocates to those who consume or to those who sell, the illegality – although providing a differentiation, yet of blurred boundaries between consumption and trafficking. The prohibitionist scenario provides the existence of complex social networks among those who profit from, and are not identified as such, and of those whom are punishable. The latter are those who are in the final portion of the drug sales network, generally occupied by poor young people, a fact reported in the context of socio-educational measures described in this work. This dissertation is the result of a social cartography process with young people in fulfilment of educational measures for involvement in the drug trade, part of the integration in Service Delivery groups to Community and Assisted Freedom. I present here the experiences during the research period, relating them to the criminalization of youths, biopower and the medicalization of social, analyzing how these are expressed in contemporary society and how they are worked out and (re)produced in the social and educational context. To demonstrate how these concepts are linked and constitute the production of discourse in relation to young people involved with the drug trade network, with public policies for children and young people over time and with the institutions responsible for social and educational measures were the hints used by this cartography. In this context it is relevant to question: is it the youths who are in conflict with the laws, or are the laws in conflict with the youths?

Este estudo analisa, discute e avalia o compromisso institucional da Universidade com o quefazer público e ao encontro da educação social e do bem viver, considerando situações desiguais das vulnerabilidades humanas e – também, por isso – escolhe construir pistas por uma Pedagogia Universitária Comunicacional. Identifica e caracteriza o compromisso em ser transparente com os quefazeres públicos na integração e intercâmbio das instituições com a sociedade. Revela, destaca, afirma e indica a Comunicação em Outras Linguagens como possibilidade importante para melhorar os processos interativos e de diálogo entre as pessoas. Mesmo consagrada pela excelência acadêmica, a instituição de ensino aprende com o tempo, sua trajetória, ao olhar para dentro de si e, para além dos elos visíveis com a sociedade. A marca histórica dos cem anos do Movimento Estudantil de Córdoba (Manifesto de 21 jun 1918) serve para lembrar que muitas daquelas demandas, por liberdade e ressonâncias do coração humanizado, não foram resolvidas pelas universidades e seguem como necessidades sociais e aspirações acadêmicas. Metodologicamente, trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa em educação, de caráter descritivo exploratório e documental, com recursos da fenomenologia e da dialética, focando as universidades públicas federais localizadas no Rio Grande do Sul. A partir da prática docente experimentada, com a política educacional e a legislação pertinente, é Tese ensaística e exploratório-descritiva, baseada na pesquisa de documentos, na autobiografia e na observação militante. O autor tem 22 anos de docência na UFRGS, 41 anos de vida acadêmica, premiações, reconhecimentos, pedras, muita poeira, chuvas, sóis, girassóis e luas, ânimos, desânimos, reanimações e pronunciares de palavras da esperança num outro mundo possível, aqui e agora. Even consecrated by academic excellence, the educational institute learns by the time, its way, when looking internally and, beyond the connections with society. The historic signal from the One hundred years of Cordoba’s student movement (act from Jun 21, 1918) is used to remember that, many of those demands, was not resolved by the universities. Methodologically, is a qualitative research in education, of exploratory and documentary descriptive character, with resources from phenomenology and from dialectic, focused on the public federals universities localized in Rio Grande do Sul. Starting from experienced teachers practice, with the educational politic and the appropriated legislation, is essay’s thesis, based on documental research and exploratory-descriptive, in the life’s history, in the historiography and militant observation. The author has 22 years teaching at UFRGS, 41 years in academic life, many awards, stones, many dust, rains, suns, sunflowers and moons, moods, dismays, resuscitations and pronunciations of “words of hope” on another possible world, here and now. Looking for “university”, I have found “Universality”, this way are the contexts of this universe. The university needs contribute and influence, indicate the ways, suggest alternatives, build thoughts, search situations, plan results and analyze contexts, encouraging and focusing to the social welfare. Therefore, the thesis that the university’s knowledges crave for a Pedagogic Education, in and out of the teaching institute, that come they to the light that make they more available, more operable and more compatible, related inside they and identified with the interests and necessities from society. I Choose the term “University” (First capital letter), by the hope that this don’t turn to be a simple institute, minimal and indifferent and, although, tested, at this “liquid times”, by the people’s feelings. It is Like: I wrote ‘communication’ or ‘Communication’. The ‘university’, sometimes, dependent, submissive, uncompromising, controlled, controller, undergoes attempts and pressures to stay retained in her box, files and drawers. Esse trabalho debruça-se sobre um desafio necessário do tempo presente: analisar e compreender o envolvimento de adolescentes em atos infracionais. Começa por situar a temática do envolvimento de adolescentes do sexo masculino em atos infracionais com privação de liberdade no contexto da Doutrina da Proteção Integral; tema imbricado em múltiplas questões, conceituações, propostas em disputa, hierarquia de saberes, representações culturais e sociais, que produz diversos posicionamentos nos diferentes campos do conhecimento. A partir da idéia de que a internação engendra uma repercussão grave e que poderá gerar crises singulares nas histórias de vida dos adolescentes, propõe-se a escutar vozes tramadas no interior de uma Unidade de Internação para jovens do sexo masculino. Trata-se de um estudo que utilizou narrativas autobiográficas como instrumento de levantamento do corpus empírico para a compreensão de um tema relevante para a educação contemporânea, sobretudo pela escassez de pesquisas que discutam o tema a partir das vozes juvenis. No empreendimento de análise da polifonia da subjetividade, dialoga com o pensamento do filósofo francês Michel Foucault, quando problematiza a forma pela qual os seres humanos se tornam sujeitos. Nesse sentido, outros autores são chamados para dar conta das múltiplas problematizações e para superar uma razão ingênua ou que simplesmente levasse a produzir efeitos de certeza sobre o envolvimento de jovens em práticas consideradas infracionais pela legislação vigente. Ainda são colocados os problemas e as análises da rede de atravessamentos que o sujeito vive, nem sempre visíveis, que tecem o cotidiano do adolescente privado da liberdade, e fazem da internação um lugar de produção de subjetividade. / This paper concerns with the necessary challenge of the present time: the analysis and understanding of the involvement of teenagers in acts of infraction. It begins by positioning the theme of the involvement of male teenagers into infractional acts with privation of freedom within the context of the Doctrine of Integral Protection; theme that brings multiples questions, concepts, proposals in dispute, hierarchy of knowing, cultural and social representations, which produce several positions in the different fields of the knowledge. From the idea that the internment causes a grave repercussion and could generate singular crisis in the life history of the teenagers mentioned, it is proposed the listening of voices inside a Internment Unity for young male people. This is a study where autobiographical histories were used, as instrument for the statement of empirical corpus in order to understand a relevant theme on the contemporary education, over all by the lack of researches that discuss the theme from the “young voices”. It undertakes the analysis of the poliphony of the subjectiveness, it dialogues with the thoughts of the French philosopher Michel Foucault, when he renders the way by which human beings become citizens. In this direction, other authors are called to take care of the multiples questions and to overcome an ingenuous reason or that simply lead to produce effects of certainty over the involvement of the young people in practices considered as crime by the present law. Here are still mentioned some questions and analysis on the transversions net that the citizen lives, not always visible, that weaves the quotidian of the teenager – deprived of freedom - and makes of the internment a place of production of subjectiveness.

Starting from experienced teachers practice, with the educational politic and the appropriated legislation, is essay’s thesis, based on documental research and exploratory-descriptive, in the life’s history, in the historiography and militant observation. The author has 22 years teaching at UFRGS, 41 years in academic life, many awards, stones, many dust, rains, suns, sunflowers and moons, moods, dismays, resuscitations and pronunciations of “words of hope” on another possible world, here and now. Looking for “university”, I have found “Universality”, this way are the contexts of this universe. The university needs contribute and influence, indicate the ways, suggest alternatives, build thoughts, search situations, plan results and analyze contexts, encouraging and focusing to the social welfare. Therefore, the thesis that the university’s knowledges crave for a Pedagogic Education, in and out of the teaching institute, that come they to the light that make they more available, more operable and more compatible, related inside they and identified with the interests and necessities from society. I Choose the term “University” (First capital letter), by the hope that this don’t turn to be a simple institute, minimal and indifferent and, although, tested, at this “liquid times”, by the people’s feelings. It is Like: I wrote ‘communication’ or ‘Communication’. The ‘university’, sometimes, dependent, submissive, uncompromising, controlled, controller, undergoes attempts and pressures to stay retained in her box, files and drawers. In addition, with “People” inside! Up until “people that ‘care’ people”!
