Nos últimos anos temos lido e ouvido com certa frequência que redes de apoio são importantes aos usuários de drogas, às mulheres grávidas de baixa renda, aos profissionais que trabalham com pacientes idosos, ao público-alvo da educação especial. Contudo, no âmbito da educação, pouco se sabe sobre o que são e como se efetivam redes de apoio, uma vez que essa discussão é ainda escassa em nosso país, principalmente na área da educação especial. Após revisão de literatura formalizamos, para fins deste trabalho, um sentido de redes de apoio compreendendo-o como a articulação de diversas instâncias públicas e privadas, que possuem interface com a educação especial, por meio da institucionalização de trabalho intersecretarial para planejamento, implantação e avaliação de políticas públicas em prol da inclusão escolar de alunos com deficiência, transtornos globais do desenvolvimento e altas habilidades/superdotação. Uma vez compreendido esse conceito, procedemos aos objetivos deste estudo que foram investigar as formas com que o município de São Paulo, por meio de suas diferentes secretarias, organiza atendimentos a esse públicoalvo e averiguar se tais ações se constituíram como redes de apoio, segundo o sentido dado em nossa análise. Para tanto, esta pesquisa de caráter exploratório combinou alguns procedimentos afeitos à abordagem qualitativa tais como: análise de fontes documentais, com enfoque principal na legislação municipal de educação especial; levantamento de planos e programas das secretarias que possuem interface com essa modalidade; e de depoimentos colhidos com profissionais que atuam na educação especial no âmbito municipal. Os resultados evidenciaram que os documentos legais analisados das Secretarias Municipais da Saúde, Assistência Social e da Pessoa com Deficiência e Mobilidade Reduzida estabeleciam ações articuladas com a educação. Localizamos também, algumas redes de apoio pontuais que atenderam uma parcela restrita da população, não garantindo a cobertura e acesso aos direitos sociais do público-alvo da educação especial como um todo, e outras mais estruturadas, por parte da Secretaria Municipal de Educação de São Paulo. Concluímos também que este município vem tratando de fortalecer a política de atendimento complementar e suplementar de apoio ao processo de inclusão a esse alunado, por meio da regulamentação dos convênios com instituições privadas, ampliação de serviços, recrutamento e constituição de suas equipes, e pelo movimento percebido de formulação de políticas que fomentem ações intersetoriais e intersecretariais, embora constatemos a necessidade de aprimorá-las bem como investimento em dispositivos para sua efetivação, que consolidem, dessa forma, aquilo que compreendemos como redes de apoio, de forma extensiva e não pontual. / For the last years we have frequently heard and read that support networks are very important to drug addicts, to low wages pregnant women, to professionals who work with elders and to special education students. However, in the field of education, very little is known about what these support networks are and how they are formed, because this discussion is not frequently held in our country, particularly in the area of special education. After literature revision we established, for this work, a support network concept that defines it as an articulation of several public and private instances which have interfaces with the special education, by institutionalization of inter secretarial work for planning, implementation and evaluation of public policies for school inclusion of students who have disabilities, global development disorders and high skills/gifted. Once this concept was understood, we present the goals of this study which were to investigate how the municipality of São Paulo, by its secretaries, is organizing support to those students and investigate if the current actions are aligned with the idea of a support network as we have stated here. In order to achieve that, this exploratory research has combined some procedures related to the qualitative approach such as: document analysis with emphasis on special education legislation; a search of public programs that have interfaces with this approach; and interviews with special education professionals who work for the municipality. The results bring evidences that all legal documents from Health, Social and Disability Secretaries established articulated actions with education. We have also found some localized support networks which served only a restrict portion of the population, not guaranteeing coverage and access of social rights for all the population in need of special education, and others more structured by the São Paulo Municipal Secretary of Education. We also concluded that this municipality has been trying to strength the complementary and supplementary serving policies to support the inclusion process to those students, through the regulation of agreements with private institutions, enlargement of services, hiring personnel to form their crew, and for some polices development which stimulate intersetorial and intersecretarial actions, although we have also perceived the need to improve them, as well as investment in order to make it effective to consolidate what we understand as support networks, in a complete and not specific way.

This research study was designed to investigate the relationships of stress, anxiety, self concept, social support and illness in children and to examine the potential of specific cognitive mediating variables, self concept and anxiety, and an external mediating variable, social support and an interaction between self concept and social support, to significantly increase the efficiency of stress as a predictor of children's illness. The purposes of this study were (1) to determine if stressful life events, anxiety, self concept, social support, sex and illness are related in children, (2) to determine if stressful life events are an adequate predictor of illness in children, (3) to determine if a combination of anxiety, self concept and social support will increase the predictive efficiency concerning illness in children, (4) to provide information that may help develop a theoretical base concerning stressful life events and illness in children, and (5) to provide information that may be beneficial with regard to future research involving stress, anxiety, self concept, social support, sex and illness in children.

Learners with Asperger's Syndrome are educated in inclusive education settings. As a result of the recent trend of `inclusion' all teachers may be required to educate all learners in their regular classrooms. This research attempted to explore the nature of Asperger's Syndrome as well as inclusive education in order to develop practical guidelines for teachers of learners with Asperger's Syndrome in regular schools.
The interview responses of eight parents of learners with Asperger's Syndrome as well as the observation of these learners are reported. The results of the interviews and observations, were corroborated with the literature study in order to outline guidelines which would ensure that teachers will cater for the needs of these learners and support their inclusion in the inclusive settings successfully.
Results of this study indicated that knowledge of Asperger's Syndrome and guidelines for accommodating the impairments of these learners is the first step towards successful inclusion. / Educational Studies / Thesis (M. Ed.)

The thesis deals with the phenomenon of motherhood for women with intellectual disabilities. The first chapter of the thesis is devoted to the question of who are parents with intellectual disabilities and how their own personality influences their motherhood. The second chapter is concentrated on formal and informal sources of help that mothers with intellectual disabilities receive abroad. The third chapter aims to concentrate on existing system providing help to people with mental illness in the Czech Republic. The last part of the thesis presents a research project whose aim was to analyze the current situation of women-mothers with intellectual disabilities and understand how these women perceive their addressed motherhood and identify problems that women deal with during their pregnancy and motherhood. The research also describes what kind of support they receive. During the project was used a qualitative research which methods are presented by interviews. The research is based on analysis of interviews with four mothers with intellectual disabilities, which are further processed by using The Grounded Theory. A pilot project exploring the feasibility of enlisting health information & support networks to enable health information seekers, using semantic web middlewareGardner, Jesse William 27 September 2019 (has links)
My Thesis posits a novel method of utilizing emerging web semantics, through HTML5 markup; to improve experience of Health Information seekers through a framework for creating functional, tailored Health Information Resource Collections potentially hosted by their own Health Information Support Networks; and based upon long-standing principles of online Information Retrieval. Most such organizations have websites, with links to useful Resources. This research exemplifies how to design and to present the Resource Collections as pathfinders to existing online Health Information, adding context to each link, to directly address the needs of each community served. The research appeals to a Needs Analysis process rooted in Everyday Life Information Seeking research methodologies, especially Participatory Action Research. As a pilot project, the Needs Analysis focuses necessarily on the Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus community – with which the author of the Thesis is intimately familiar as a person living with Hydrocephalus, making the choice of a Participatory Action Research framework ideal – and enlisted just one National (Canada) and one Regional (British Columbia) Association for the same rationale. Results of the Needs Analysis were used to identify necessary Resources, but also to select familiar web tools and technologies for design of the Resource Collection and Resource Cards. At completion, there is a functional Collection of Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Resources for researchers, caregivers, or patients with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus – not limited to members of any organization, but best suited by design to the two through which analysis was done. / Graduate

[pt] Nesta tese apresenta-se a pesquisa que teve como objetivo investigar a percepção de maridos e filhas a respeito de esposas e mães que têm uma carreira profissional e exercem uma atividade remunerada fora do lar, as possíveis modificações nas atribuições dos homens na família, a forma como as filhas estão vivenciando essas mudanças e a relevância das redes de apoio no ambiente familiar. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, para cuja consecução procedeu-se a entrevistas semiestruturadas com quatorze sujeitos – sete maridos e sete filhas (sujeitos independentes) – residentes em uma cidade localizada no interior sul do estado do Rio de Janeiro. A partir da fundamentação teórica e da análise de conteúdo das falas dos sujeitos entrevistados, foram propostas onze categorias temáticas de avaliação. Os resultados apontam que há maior participação masculina na rotina doméstica e nos cuidados com as filhas, mas que a mulher continua a ser a principal responsável por essas atividades, carregando culpa e angústia por não exercer totalmente o que considera suas funções exclusivas. Na percepção dos maridos, houve melhorias no relacionamento conjugal e familiar com a saída da mulher para o trabalho remunerado, além de ser vantajosa sua contribuição na composição da renda familiar. Na concepção das filhas, ter uma mãe que trabalha fora de casa é motivo de orgulho e satisfação, embora se depreendam de suas falas sentimentos ambíguos, como independência e solidão; apesar de os papéis desempenhados por seus pais estarem bem distribuídos, elas elegem a mãe como a principal referência. A relevância das redes de apoio é inferida pela ajuda de familiares nos cuidados com as filhas e de diversos profissionais na execução de tarefas domésticas, além de apoio e cooperação de irmãos e amigos. / [en] In this thesis it is presented the research that has as main goal to investigate the perception of husbands and children about their wives and mothers who have a career and are no longer just housewives. Were investigated the possible changes of men s duties in the family, the way daughters are experiencing these changes and the importance of social support networks in a family environment. This is a qualitative research based on semi-structured interviews conducted with fourteen individuals – seven husbands and seven daughters (independent individuals) – all of them living in a city in the south of the state of Rio de Janeiro. Starting from the theoretical foundation and analysis of the interviewees content, it was proposed eleven theme categories for evaluation purpose. The results indicate that there is an increase of the male participation in the domestic routine and in the caring for their daughters, but that women continue to be the main responsible for these activities, carrying guilt and anguish for not fully exercising what they consider to be their exclusive function. According to husbands perception, there were improvements in the marriage and family relationships with women going out to the market, in addition to the contribution to the family revenue. Regarding daughters perception, having a mother who works outside their home is a reason of pride and satisfaction, even though we can identify in their speech ambiguous feelings such as independence, loneliness and helplessness. Although the roles played by their parents are well distributed, they have elect the mother as their main reference. The importance of support networks is inferred by the help of family members in the care of the daughters and by several professionals in performing domestic chores, as well as support and cooperation from brothers and friends.

God, located in the district of Brás de Pina - northern region of the city of Rio de Janeiro. It
intends to identify the role that this religious community plays for Angolan and Congolese
immigrants who belong to it. This way, seeks to reflect on the formation of a religious
territorial space consolidated by elements of African religiosity and the Assembly of God
Pentecostalism and its imbricated association with the formation of support and social
cohesion networks around the maintenance and sustaining of an identity space. This space is
marked by elements that express symbols and signs from the countries of origin of its
members - Congo and Angola when using the African liturgy in their worship services. The
research takes into account the demands that guide the migration process, the laws governing
these immigrants and how much this process contributes to associative practices that involve
factors inherent to the socio-cultural and economic insertion and integration within the
missionary field. / Esta pesquisa faz uma análise do Campo Missionário Congoangolano da Assembleia
de Deus, localizado no bairro de Brás de Pina - Zona norte da cidade do Rio de Janeiro.
Procura identificar a função desta comunidade religiosa para os imigrantes congoleses e
angolanos que a ela pertencem. Desse modo, visa refletir sobre a formação de um espaço
territorial religioso consolidado por elementos da religiosidade africana e do pentecostalismo
assembleiano e sua imbricada associação com a formação de redes de apoio e de coesão social
em torno da manutenção e sustentação de um espaço identitário. Esse espaço é marcado por
elementos que expressam símbolos e signos dos países de origem de seus integrantes - Congo
e Angola - ao utilizarem a liturgia africana em seus cultos. A pesquisa leva em consideração
as demandas que norteiam o processo migratório, as leis que regem esses imigrantes e o
quanto tal processo contribui para práticas associativas que envolvem fatores inerentes a

This study has the aim at verifying the impact of social support network project in
families which receive Bolsa Família programme. Therefore it is important to consider the
economic background of our current society, as well as the challenges for the
municipalities in the creation of alternatives and deployment of public policies to include
the most disadvantaged citizens economically. Thereafter, we describe the target of this
research into contextualizing Projeto Rede de Apoio Social, as well as the implementation
of it in Balneário Pinhal town. The theoretical research focuses on: Family, poverty, Bolsa
Família programme, community therapy, resiliency, ethics, social networks and care,
establishing a relation between the theoretical framework and the guiding study carried
out. Afterwards the instruments that have been used in data collection are defined. Through
the results obtained by the research we believe that it is possible to analyse the impact of
Rede de Apoio Social Project, not only among the beneficiaries of Bolsa Família
programme, but in the community as a whole, including municipal authorities. Through
this, we intend to reaffirm the importance of the implementation of public policies that
support iniciatives that make possible alternatives of income as well the civil society

This study examined social support and sexual risk behavior in adolescents attending an educational institution in the municipality of Lebrija Santander. The sample involves 359 teenagers aged 12-18. This is a non-experimental descriptive-correlational study. Measures included a series of questionnaires, involving Risk Behavior Surveillance (YRBS), and the MOS Questionnaire Family APGAR. Results show that teens who started their sexual life, are at risk of sexual behaviors such as: non-condom use, alcohol consumption and the onset of sexual life at an early age. Also young people who have started their sexual life are those who perceive less emotional and instrumental support from their primary support network (family). It concludes on the need to strengthen support networks of adolescents, because they are directly related to sexual risk behavior is taken by people, is important to involve not only young people but also the involvement of parents, institutions education, teachers, among others, programs designed sexual and reproductive health for adolescents. / La presente investigación evalúa el apoyo social y las conductas sexuales de riesgo presentes en adolescentes de una institución educativa del municipio de Lebrija-Santander. La muestra se conformo por 359 sujetos con edades entre los 12 y 18 años; es una investigación de carácter no experimental de tipo descriptivo-correlacional. Se utilizaron una serie de cuestionarios: Conductas de Riesgo de Vigilancia (YRBS), Cuestionario MOS y finalmente el APGAR Familiar. Los resultados muestran que los adolescentes que han iniciado su vida sexual, presentan conductas sexuales de riesgo, las más frecuentes son: la no utilización del preservativo, el consumo de bebidas alcohólicas y el inicio de la vida sexual a edades tempranas. Así mismo los jóvenes que han iniciado su vida sexual son quienes perciben un menor apoyo tanto emocional como instrumental por parte de su principal red de apoyo (la familia). Se concluye sobre la necesidad de fortalecer las redes de apoyo de los adolescentes, debido a que están directamente relacionadas con conductas sexuales de riesgo adoptadas por está población, es importante la participación no solo de los jóvenes sino también la vinculación de padres de familia, instituciones educativas, docentes, entre otros, en los programas de salud sexual y reproductiva diseñados para los adolescentes.
