This current dissertation has as central objective to analyse historically discussions and initiatives that are involved in constitutions of models of public and/or cultural-educational TV in Brazil during the period from 1960 to 1974, having as orientate axle the historical study of relations which become possible the TV Cultura, channel 2, of São Paulo, either in its phase as private broadcasting station, or as public TV. So, this research of master´s degree has the aim to bring the light data and analyses that can prove the hypotheses of what the definitions and the initiatives, as the private order as governmental one, turned to a like a public service and cultural-educational means show limited and fragile. Limited in reason to restrict initially to the active agents level in the social communication field, so, without social amplitude, and subsequently to be adopted by Brazilian State in moment of marked authoritarian. Fragile because they didn´t allow instruments and mechanisms to dream up a directive of consistent programming to educational television that can be possible, as the same time, significant adherent to audience and considered rates of autonomy in its conduction.

Within this system, television has undergone transformations that had as a lynch pin news ways of content consumption. New processes emerge as the Transmedia Storytelling (TS), which is the combination of different mediums to unfold a story. This paper analyzes how the newscast on public TV - here represented by the newscasts Repórter Brasil Noite (TV Brasil/BRA) and Jornal Antares (TV Antares/PI) - has seized the resources available through technological convergence, especially of the TS principles (Henry Jenkins, 2009), as a strategy for strengthening the collaborative journalism and public engagement. Our methodology consisted of an exploratory research, with the case studies procedures, simple observation techniques and in-depth interview. As we set out to work with a theme that is still an open debate arena among scholars - the application of TS principles in journalism - we chose the studies of Kevin Moloney (2009), Carlos Alberto Scolari (2013) and Mauricio Souza (2009) as bearing point of our research. We work with both newscast programs with two different times cutouts: the period of the election campaign and the carnival. We note that the treatment of principles (TS) still occurs on a limited manner and there is a lack of integration within the program's official channels. We believe in the principles experimentation, as a strategy to strengthen the development of collaborative journalism, characteristic of public broadcasters.

The text presents technical challenges, such political and economic implementation. Intends to identify the successes and mistakes of the actors involved in this scenario, mounted to the development of digital TV in Brazil. Emphasizes the interests, not always harmonious, all involved: the capital with a focus on profit, government, with its political agreements, often contrasting the performance of their role in representing the interests of the majority of the population; and the dynamics of scientific-technological industry, which needs fertile soil, suitable, and continuing to develop.(AU) / O presente estudo disserta sobre o papel da indústria, com foco nos fabricantes de televisores e sua participação na implantação e desenvolvimento da TV Digital no Brasil, como os primeiros atores desse cenário a apontar o norte para a viabilização de um modelo de negócio para a Televisão Digital (TVD) e Televisão Digital Interativa (TVDI): a TV Conectada e a TV Inteligente.

Globalizace české televizní zábavy: srovnání využívání globálních televizních formátů v České televizi a na soukromých televizních stanicích / Glabalization of czech tv entertainment: comparison in using global tv formats in ČT and private tv channel (Nova, Prima)

Broučková, Tereza January 2014 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the development of using global TV formats on Czech TV channels during 2000-2013. Development is studied in comparison between Czech Television as a public medium and private channels TV Nova and FTV Prima. Global TV formats recently became basic building blocks for production of their own programs in TV entertainment. Thesis focuses on the approach of the TV channels in using global TV formats. It outlines the development of TV genres of global TV formats on Czech TVs and shows how Czech TV stations have dealt with their production and how they have interested the Czech TV spectators. The thesis is based on theoretical background of media globalization supposing that business with global formats has a strong influence over current TV entertainment. TV market offers many various TV formats and TV stations buy them because they have information about success in other countries. It shows that in recent years the offer of global TV formats is so heterogeneous and wide that viewer rating and success of single formats is not so high as in the beginning of the trend in TV entertainment. In the followed period the Czech TV market has been changed by digitalization of Czech TV broadcasting and there is also a phenomenon of media convergence.

Vývoj programové nabídky TV stanic Nova a Prima v letech 2002-2012 se zaměřením na vlastní tvorbu / Programme Offer Development of TV Channels Nova and Prima in Years 2001-2011 Focused on Their Own Production

Slavíková, Klára January 2013 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the development of TV listings of major Czech commercial channels, TV Nova and TV Prima, during 2002 - 2012. It focuses solely on their own production and covers the shift in aired genres, which has changed from the earlier variety shows and quiz shows to reality shows and soap operas that run the listings nowadays. Most TV production is based on so-called reality TV; there the emphasis is on capturing reality in a way, which is attractive for viewers and goes across many genres and styles. Consequently, the line between genres is becoming very thin and is no longer determining. The approaches these two channels took to structuring their TV listings are also very important since each had its own specific way. This thesis draws on theoretical grounds and covers important mechanisms affecting TV in the Czech Republic in three basic areas (global, technological and economic). It points out that globalization has brought about homogenized culture and international integration, which means many programmes are of foreign license. Moreover, we can see the trend of internetisation and convergence of TV content, which is increasingly influenced by modern technologies. The purpose of all this is high ratings that affect profits from advertising. And economic profit is for...

Emphasis is put on the analysis of ratings of individual TV channels, investments, and the top advertisers. This chapter also includes creating profiles of viewers of measured channels. The last chapter describes in detail the business models of particular media houses. The last step of media planning is to produce a media plan; therefore, the work included a practical example.
