”ChatGPT, världens bästa morsa?” : En kvalitativ studie om samhällskunskapslärares erfarenheter avartificiell intelligens i undervisningen

Björklund, Daniel January 2024 (has links)
Artifical intelligence is a part of the progress of the digitalization in the society. Language models such as ChatGPT have the ability to answer questions posed by the user as well as to produce texts that resemble human writing. However, the use of language models is not without risk. They can be used as a tool to encourage cheating on school assignments or to contribute to disinformation. A consequence of the development of AI is that knowledge is obtained in different ways compared to the past, which has to come to transform the traditional teaching methods in schools. The purpose of the study is to investigate how AI affects the tuition in social studies and also what experience social studies teachers have of AI in connection with teaching. The study focuses in upper secondary school in Sweden. The empirical material has been collected through semi-structured interviews. The results of the study show that the teachers see both opportunities and challenges with AI in teaching. AI can be used as a resource by both teachers and students according to the teachers participating in this study. However the result shows that AI also can have an negative impact on the students learning process. Regardless, teachers have been forced to make changes in their teaching.

Ahlberg, Maria, Broborg Karlsson, Madelene Unknown Date (has links)
(En) The Swedish school has got students in special educational needs since elementary school was introduced 1842. How the education was designed and performed has been different from time to time. We wanted to take part of the teachers’ experiences of special educational groups in a process of change over a thirty-year period, and if this process was propitious for the students in special educational needs. The study is qualitative with narrative research interviews as method. The narrative method aims to interpret and understand the teachers’ stories. The result of the process change shows that the special educational groups have not changed during this period of time, according to the teachers, despite the organisational changes that has taken place. But however the approach against the students has changed, which we experience has favoured the students in a positive way. / The Swedish school has got students in special educational needs since elementary school was introduced 1842. Digital methods in English Education / Digitala metoder i engelsk undervisning

Feldt, Zanna, Mekkelholt, Erik January 2021 (has links)
Our study explores Swedish teachers' experience with digital reading methods during English lessons and the perceived advantages and disadvantages of these methods. The study is qualitative and based on zoom interviews with four 4-6 English teachers from two different schools. The results show that some students who have problems understanding texts benefitted from being able to listen to the texts with the help of digital tools. However, even if this helps the students, there is the risk of overusing such listening aids. The results also show that the benefits of digital teaching methods outweigh the drawbacks. Most of the negative aspects were about the administration of the programs they used and how the teachers want to control and prevent distractions that come with the use of digital tools.

Zemanová, Kateřina January 2020 (has links)
This diploma thesis is dealing with the methods teachers and school psychologist may use to approach their pupils who have been affected by the death of their relative, particularly a family member. The theoretical part of the thesis is focusing on the existing research in the area of mourning of school-age children and pays special attention to the risks connected with insensitive approach of teachers in this matter. The thesis tries to introduce some principles of the teacher's sensitive approach during the lessons, while paying extra attention to the personal and moral development of the individual in the area of their perception of surroundings, specifically during Civic Education and Health Education. The next topic in the theoretical part is the cognitive development of pupils and their view on the death itself in general, as it is a part of life that we have to somehow prepare for and thus need to have some kind of knowledge about the difficulties that come with death. The empirical part consists mainly of individual interviews with teachers and one school psychologist. As for the part of the interviews, analysis of study materials was included in which both their advantages and possible risks were considered. The aim of this thesis is mainly to formulate principles of the sensitive...

Lundin, Simon January 2022 (has links)
Research highlights that outdoor education have positive impacts on students learning, socialdevelopment and academic performance. Despite the fact that outdoor education has a numberof positive impacts on students, we currently don’t know much about teachers view onoutdoor education in upper secondary school. This essay examines the experiences of teachersin social studies and their view of outdoor education. The empirical material comprises sixinterviews with upper secondary teachers in social studies. The theoretical frames in thisessay are pragmatism and theory of place. The empirical data collection was analyzed throughthe thematic analytical method. The findings reveal that teachers define outdoor education ina variety of ways. Although its sporadically implemented in the social studies course. Outdooreducation promotes teaching in reality-based environments where students can learn throughall their senses. However, teachers highlight that outdoor education also includes a number ofchallenges like lack of time, schedules and physical aspects. In addition, the results suggestthat teachers who have a thematic way of work can overcome some of these challenges.

Vad menar de med digital kompetens? : En studie om lärares uppfattningar om digital kompetens och digitaliseringen av skola / What do they mean by digital competence? : A study of teachers’ preceptions about digital competence and the digitalization of schools

Mathilda, Wirback January 2018 (has links)
This essay is based on the increased digitalization of the Swedish school system, the revised curriculum and the government’s digitalization strategy for the school system. This essay aims to explore teachers’ perspectives on the concept of digital competence and how they perceive their own digital competence. The essay also aims to investigate if teachers feel equipped to meet the changes posed by the digitalization of the school system. The aim was addressed through qualitative interviews and a survey. The results show that the concept of digital competence is a multi-faceted term that is difficult to describe. Many teachers express that they lack a distinct explanation of the term. Furthermore, the results show that many teachers have a positive attitude towards the digitalization of schools, but many teachers experience a need for further education to meet the demands that digitalization entails.
