L'énonciation de l'homosexualité masculine : espaces médiatiques et usages des technologies numériques / The utterance of male homosexuality : media environment and use of digital technologies

Mauvoisin, Mélanie 13 December 2017 (has links)
The research conducted as part of our thesis aims at looking into the construction of the utterance of male homosexuality putting forward comparative analysis of recent times. Our concern is communication medium (media environment and digital technologies) as well as the different forms of speaking. Our thesis is organized around three parts. The first part consists in highlighting the context and the characteristics about telling homosexuality. We will suggest to revisit Michel Foucault’s work (through his work La volonté de savoir – The will to know) in order to study the implementation of the discourse about sex and then the construction of sexualities. It is also a question of identifying the variations of the self-ascription from the logic of secret to a protest or even subversive form of logic through different times, with the evocation of the place and the different aspects of “coming out”. In a second part, we will explain the different legacies of the ways to express homosexuality. We will then mention the different ways to represent male homosexuality in films, television and in web series through a linear and genealogical basis from the 1930’s until today. We will next review the practice of cruising according to open or closed areas: this will lead us to question the existence of the liberation of expressive forms. Finally, in a third and last part, we will put forward, from the mobile phone application Grindr, the identification of the different features of the cruiser as well as his roaming in a geo-tracking world. We will discuss more precisely the status and the relationship to image, the identification of the different types of views organized through the applications and the stakes and consequences as part of the utterance of homosexuality.

Étude d'un genre de la littérature orale : la devise (kûmbù) chez les Punu du Gabon / Study of oral literature genre : "Praise-poetry" (kûmbù) the case of the Punu of Gabon

Tomba Diogo, Amevi Christine Cerena 27 February 2015 (has links)
This research study focuses on language and oral literature of the Punu people in the south of Gabon. The study explores the punu styles of literature in particular praise-poetry (devise), which has been, up to now, very rarely studied. Considered to be a form of praise by which an individual declaims his identity, praise-poetry allows an individual to stand out and express his vision of the world. This thesis is divided into five chapters which together provide a theoretical attempt of this literary genre in the society. Taking the notion of permanence as a defining criterion, the study highlights the discursive properties of praise-poetry and its functions. Added to this is a unique corpus of clan and individual praise poems, transcribed, translated and commented.

O diálogo professor-aluno em interações mediadas pela internet: contribuições para a gênese de um processo de tutoria dialógico / The teacher-pupil dialogue in interactions mediated by the internet: contributions for genese of a dialogic tutoring process

Luciana Caixeta Barboza 10 November 2008 (has links)
In this research we analyze the development of discursive interactions between students of a Chemistry teaching course and pupils of secondary school mediated by a tutoring system designed to the internet. These interactions had occurred through the Tutor em Rede virtual environment, in which pupils sent queries regarding Chemistry content to be answered by a tutor. The data had been collected among students of Chemistry teaching courses of Brazilian public universities and teachers of the public education system in São Paulo. For these analyses, we present some of the main ideas about distance education, interactions through the internet and processes and systems of tutoring. We also carry through a study on the dualistic properties of the utterance - the functions univocal and dialogic -, from whose, we elaborate four categories of analyses - enrollment, problematization, retaken of say of the other and reference to other interlocutors. Applying these categories to the collected data, we classify the interactions in terms of their dialogic degree.

La question du lecteur dans l'oeuvre romanesque de Retif de la Bretonne : Le Pornographe, Le Paysan perverti, Le Ménage parisien / The ‘Reader’ in the Works of Rétif de la Bretonne : Le Pornographe, Le Ménage parisien, Le Paysan perverti

Guezmir, Asma 25 February 2012 (has links)
The thesis purports to investigate the ‘reader’ in three works by Rétif de la Bretonne which are: Le Paysan perverti (1775), Le Ménage parisien (1772) and Le Pornographe (1769). Though diverging in content and structure, the three works converge in the desire to inscribe the reader in the text. Although sought for, quite often in an exaggerated way, the reader in the three texts has an extremely tense relationship with the author who is committed to control the act of reading while pretending to leave the reader total freedom. This struggle for power is felt at various levels in the three texts examined; it is made overt through the figure of the intradiegetic reader but subtler when appealing to the figure of the ‘ideal reader’. Apart from the visceral tie to the text, we distinguish in the retivian novelistic discourse a modern conception of the author/reader relationship. Though ‘uneven’, ‘clumsy’ and ‘impertinent’, Rétif, early on, declared implicitly within his work a first-time vision of the role of the reader in the accomplishment of the literary act. The reader is in fact inscribed in the text as the emulator of the author: a potential and legitimate owner of the work on which depends his becoming. However, Rétif is not ready to surrender his authorship. The continual division of the author transfigures the literary experience into a human one.

Les énoncés du Surmoi : le Surmoi complexe ou le complexe du Surmoi / The statements of the superego : the superego complex or the complex of superego

Kata-Christophe, Anna 08 July 2016 (has links)
Through this thesis I question the Superego instance, emphasising its processing aspect. The Superego process is constant and very complex. The dynamic and topical work of the Superego is linked with the categorical, economic work of togetherness of statements that frame and reorganise the psychological movement. The togetherness of Superego statement as a sort of internal language is built in the inter subjective link between persons. The statement is a message transmitted by the ‹ Other ›. The Other appears as the former speaker who has left traces in the psychic reality of the person and also exists and sets the current reality. I propose the hypothesis of the Superego as a transfer mode between the person and his surroundings culture in terms of Superego statements passed from the ‹ other › within the bounds of multiple identifications. A process that builds the canvas of a multiple Superego. Multiple Superego overcomes the problem of paradoxical and ambiguity of simple Superego and demonstrates its double registrar, both drive and cultural. The Other one, registered in his group environment prolongs my hypothesis of what happens between the person and his group carried in the internal psychic space of the Superego. I demonstrate this with clinical cases, the persons with fragile identity in identity crisis. I try to reflect on the restraining capacity of the Institution , represented by an establish social group (eg the caregiver group, the educator group, the teachers) which is placed in a given cultural reference. I propose to see the group as a potential element (space) that will look into the multiple Superego as a workable canvas. Multiple superego is as the psychological border and it is also the potential form between what is intrapsychic and intersubjective. The mental capacity and the function of the other one through his speaking statements related to his surrounding context is a red string of this thesis. The thesis attempts to show that the speaking statement the other one arrange both groupal and psychic space like an scene providing in potential possibility in a multiple traces of superego of the other in another. The moral consciance - the internal sense which guide is located in the Superego as much as internalized morality and culture. Social laws and meta-framework for "living together" based the human condition of each person in intitution. The clinic case shows the suffering person who deposit their pain and ilness on the group, which get organized as a psychic scene. When the culture carried by this group has the principles giving an operating device, the framework also acquires a containing function. The relationship between two persons or person and the others is seen as an exchange from one psychic scene to another, which is associated with problematic of un intruder and un uncanny. In this case the encounter consiste to transform the intruder in familiar uncanny. Away the quest of otherness (alterity) is in question.

La Polyphonie de Rimbaud / Polyphony of Rimbaud

Fukai, Yosuke 18 March 2011 (has links)
The aim of my doctoral dissertation is to discuss Rimbaud’s poems, focusing on their various voices (polyphony). From “Premiers vers” to the prose poems, Illuminations, the poetry of Rimbaud never turns back on its tracks, and, at the same time, it shows an increasing tendency towards complication and abstraction. This tendency results from different logics at work in his poems. In fact, Rimbaud constructed a complex narrative structure for Une saison en enfer in 1873, by entwining many voices that have different tones. Therefore, I analyse this frequently contradictory principle of multilogic, adapting a stylistic and intertextual approach, and research Rimbaud’s method of polyphonic demonstration and its functions. His polyphony results in the universalization of his poetry and the loss of the author’s privilege which then encourages autonomous voices to form a new poetic language.

Evidentiality, Epistemic Modality and Mirativity: The Case of Cantonese Utterance Particles Ge3, Laak3, and Lo1

Law, Ka Fai 02 June 2020 (has links)
This thesis examines a set of three utterance particles—ge3, laak3, and lo1—in Hong Kong Cantonese in terms of evidentiality, epistemic modality, and mirativity. Cantonese utterance particles have long been studied; however, close investigation of evidentiality and mirativity on a small set of particles is relatively rare. Previous accounts claim that ge3 and laak3 convey certainty. On the other hand, linguists also claim that the use of the utterance particle lo1 assumes a high level of knowledge from a hearer. This thesis has two main purposes: to untangle the differences between the utterance particles ge3 and laak3 in terms of epistemic modality and evidentiality and to reveal the mirative meanings of the utterance particle lo1. I postulate that the utterance particle ge3 conveys both epistemic modality and evidentiality. For epistemic modality, ge3 concerns a speaker’s knowledge. The evidential meaning—access to prior knowledge—is realized through implicature. This pragmatic reading is highly context dependent. In contrast, the utterance particle laak3 conveys only epistemic modality which concerns a state of affairs and signifies a change of state. Lastly, this study also reveals that the utterance particle lo1 has mirative values of sudden realization and counterexpectation under certain conversational contexts.

Jazyk, řeč a rozumění / Language, speech and understanding

Zajíc, Václav January 2015 (has links)
This thesis studies different conceptions of knowledge as they were conceived by George Berkeley and Immanuel Kant. In the first chapter we concentrate on Berkeley's pragmatic interpretation of knowledge which is based on the localization of the non-predicative judgements into the inner structure of perception. As the result there is such knowledge which is by human being used to identification of conditions for the formation of particular combinations of ideas and also to their more or less exact prognosis. We concentrate also on Berkeley's attempt to avoid "ontological" or "absolute" interpretations of "traditional concepts of metaphysics" as ,substance', an absolute existence of non-egoistic matterial being etc. In the second chapter of this thesis we are trying to study in which way is the idea of knowledge being transformed, in case that the starting point for interpretation of knowledge is, according to Kant, descriptive analysis of synthetic judgements a priori, whose proposition is the synthesis of subject and predicate. We will show that Kant contributed to the new understanding of metaphysics as transcendental research possibility of knowledge, and how were thanks to that meanings and status of subject and object transformed. We will make in the third and closing chapter complete...

Mean Length of Utterance and Developmental Sentence Scoring in the Analysis of Children's Language Samples

Chamberlain, Laurie Lynne 01 June 2016 (has links)
Developmental Sentence Scoring (DSS) is a standardized language sample analysis procedure that uses complete sentences to evaluate and score a child’s use of standard American-English grammatical rules. Automated DSS software can potentially increase efficiency and decrease the time needed for DSS analysis. This study examines the accuracy of one automated DSS software program, DSSA Version 2.0, compared to manual DSS scoring on previously collected language samples from 30 children between the ages of 2;5 and 7;11 (years;months). The overall accuracy of DSSA 2.0 was 86%. Additionally, the present study sought to determine the relationship between DSS, DSSA Version 2.0, the mean length of utterance (MLU), and age. MLU is a measure of linguistic ability in children, and is a widely used indicator of language impairment. This study found that MLU and DSS are both strongly correlated with age and these correlations are statistically significant, r = .605, p < .001 and r = .723, p < .001, respectively. In addition, MLU and DSSA were also strongly correlated with age and these correlations were statistically significant, r = .605, p < .001 and r = .669, p < .001, respectively. The correlation between MLU and DSS was high and statistically significant r = .873, p < .001, indicating that the correlation between MLU and DSS is not simply an artifact of both measures being correlated with age. Furthermore, the correlation between MLU and DSSA was high, r = .794, suggesting that the correlation between MLU and DSSA is not simply an artifact of both variables being correlated with age. Lastly, the relationship between DSS and age while controlling for MLU was moderate, but still statistically significant r = .501, p = .006. Therefore, DSS appears to add information beyond MLU.
